“I wanted to find a place where I could get a grilled hamburger. I stopped in South Main Bar & grill to hopefully get a grilled burger. The waitress was very nice. She told me their burgers were very good. I ordered when she gave me the price $11 I was a bit shocked. The waitress told me the burgers were made bigger, hence the price.Since I was going to get a grilled burger, I would pay the price. When I got home and opened the burger, I looked at the patty. To me, it looked like a frozen patty! The taste wasn't what I expected. I thought it was a soy patty, but that was my opinion. I took a couple of bites and threw it away. A waste of my $11.“
“My husband and I were looking for a different place to eat and found it with Route 55. I love pimento cheese and bacon, well they just so happen to have a pimento cheese and bacon burger, I also had an option of fries or tater tops, I choose tater tots. They were crunchy and hot on the outside. All was very delish. Our waitress, (Harley) was very kind and checked on us often. For desert they specializedin fresh custard. I ordered vanilla custard with chocolate syrup, my husband ordered a strawberry milkshake. Custard very creamy and fresh. This is a must stop and eat place.“
“Absolutely love this place! We eat here weekly! Love the food! All of it! Staff is phenomenal! We love all the waitresses! Love the home town atmosphere! Bright and team spirited! And the homemade desserts are amazing! Must try the pineapple cake!“
“Went here for lunch during my break.I ordered a breakfast sandwich, 2 pancakes, a bagel with cream cheese and a grilled cheese with chips. It cost $17.Overall, it tasted good and looked just as good. The atmosphere was nice and didn't take too long.I would definitely visit again.“
“We stopped in for breakfast. This was our first time eating here. Good breakfast options, fun atmosphere. The food came out piping hot and was really good. Great coffee too. Everyone was really friendly. We'll be coming back! Thanks for a great first experience. 5 stars“
“This is a beautiful place. Set off the road surrounded by trees. The décor is very farmhouse, antique and eclectic. There is a gift shop that has unusual local items. The food is Southern cooking and very delicious. You should especially try the chicken salad melt and fried green beans. It cost us about $30 for lunch. Service was very good. Highly recommend this gem.“
“It was a phenomenal find on our way drive between Shelby and charlotte at Gastonia.Great food- vegan, vegetarian, great flavor and taste. Small outside seating accommodated our four legged family member. They offered dog bowl and water. It’s good relaxing environment to enjoy nice food and service.“
“Hoof & Barrel is one of the best places to eat in York, it’s family friendly with great food options! I love the atmosphere the sunny pasture and sweet potato fries are definitely a hit! My family and I eat here at least once a week!!“
“The food was delicious- large portions so even had leftovers to take home. Was a very busy Saturday night and with the restaurant recently opening, service was slow to get food but attentive staff so although it took a hour to get the food it was worth it. We will be back for sure with the hopes that the time to get food from time of ordering is a bit less. Also a little noisy for us but again the place was packed.“
“All I can say is WOW!!!! I just left from there and had a togo order. It is AMAZING!!! The staff was so beyond patient and very kind to me. I was having a rough week, and the smiles they had made me feel better. A smile goes a long way. Thank you for your kindness! Food is “
“Got a single patty burger with chili, slaw, onion, and Mac & cheese side. I should have known the food was going to be excellent when I got my sweet tea. Everything was super fresh tasting and the burger was the best I’ve had in a while. Friendly waitress too, thanks!“
“Quite a strange name of the place. Pelicans are avian of temperate weather zones. Snowballs are typically in a colder climate zone. So .. Mixing the two gives it a whimsical avant garde atmosphere. The kids love it. It's good.. It's a happy time and place. You must come here. Oh yes I dare say you must.“
“Great foot long hotdog & fries. The fries were hot, the hotdog had a good flavor, good chili & slaw. Great price 7.58 for foot long hotdog, small fry & medium coke. Quick service. It is take out only & cash only. I will be going back.“
“We've eaten here a couple of times now and once just came in and had a drink at the bar. Every time we've come, food, service and drinks have been amazing! If you can make it for the happy hour, the menu selections and prices can't be beat! The prices otherwise are a bit expensive, but in my opinion have been worth it so far!“
“This is a really good place to stop by, their burgers and hot dogs are amazing! It's a family favorite at my house, at least 2 or 3 of is will stop by every week :) The decor is also really cool, I like to sit in a different spot each time we go so i can look at everything on the wall!“
“This place is the best Mexican restaurant in York. The family runs this apot very well with excellent service. Food is always delicious and the prices are fair. Dine in or take out you get the same friendly experience. GET THE FAJITAS ROSITA SOOOO GOOD!.“
“I gave this place 4 stars, the atmosphere is real mellow. I had the Ashley chicken. It came with fluffy and lovey mash potatoes & gravy. Alana was our waitress, she had a heart warming smile and OUTSTANDING personality the entire time since we were seated. I'll be back soon“
“I was staying at the local bed and breakfast in Clover, Magnolia B &B. There is a bottle shop named The Vault in downtown Clover, and I was in there one of the nights and happened to meet one of the chefs at Clover Harvest, Lindsay. She was so friendly, bubbly, engaging and told me about Clover Harvest. I am so glad I ran into her. Clover Harvest is absolutely perfect-the atmosphere, the drinks, the staff. Lindsay welcomed me and even personally brought out my plate. I had the shrimp and grits with a side of asparagus. I also had one of their drinks (can't remember what it was but it had tequila and it was SOOO good). The shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had. The grits were so moist they were almost mashed potato like. Thank you Lindsay for telling me about this place. I will be back one day I hope! Everything on the menu looked appealing. I could have eaten there every night!“
