“We are tourist this week. We're tagging along on my husband's work trip. My daughter wanted an iced coffee. We came across the shop in our morning adventuring. We ordered an iced coffee make with almond milk and vanilla syrup. She would not stop going on how good her drink was! Thanks for thr great coffee!“
“Had to wait in a short line, but the owner let us know right away. I loved the transparency. It was a cool spot to hangout in and watch the nitrogen ice cream being made right in front of our eyes. The ice cream was to die for! I can’t wait to come back!“
“Jeni's Ice Cream is celebrated for its unique and innovative flavors, offering a delightful twist on traditional ice cream. Their commitment to quality ingredients and creative combinations results in a memorable taste experience. While generally adored for its distinct flavors, some patrons mention the pricing as a consideration. Nonetheless, Jeni's stands out as a premium choice for ice cream enthusiasts looking for an extraordinary treat.“
“Solid coffee at a reasonable price which was surprising given it is located in Charleston Place. The iced latte was smooth and creamy and very enjoyable. My wife enjoyed the iced americano which I noticed they topped off with bottled Fiji water (wow). Service can be a bit slow but it's to be expected when your coffee is well made.“
“The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because I was a frequent customer and their food was always hot, delicious, and fresh!!! I am also giving it 4 stars because the owner fully refunded me after I didn’t receive my food and he/she clearly knows how to treat people who patron his restaurant. I was a little early for pickup, so I understood that my food wasn’t ready. But there have been times where I have done the same and it was, so I didn’t think anything of it. The manager at this location told me that I would need to go through Chow Now who I originally ordered through. Ok, understandable. AFTER I left and contacted Chow Now, they called and she told them she will only be issuing me a partial refund because my fries were ready and not my sandwich. She failed to tell me this in person, “because she’s not gonna sit up here and argue”. Yet proceeded to just that almost blowing out my ear drum out with all her yapping like a rabid dog! The fact is, she knew exactly what she was doing. In fact, the other young lady at the counter told me they were just starting on my order, so of course I’m going to think nothing was ready! I didn’t make a fuss, nor was I angry because it wasn’t their fault that I was early. I just simply asked for a refund. After finding out that her intentions was to never fully refund me. I called up there and spoke with her in what started out as a calm conversation. She then got EXTREMELY rude, raising her voice, and started yelling and over talking me. Very nasty! Worst customer service I have literally EVER received and as someone who has been in customer service for years, this experience was mind blowing. I live far from this location but I come here for work and planned on bringing my kids here to enjoy food and ice cream one Saturday because it’s seriously one of the best locations quality wise and because our location closed down. But it’s safe to say I won’t be a returning customer. I don’t do well with nasty and mean managers who talk to people like they don’t care if they receive their business. Good luck to that lady, because one day she will talk to the wrong person like that! Thank goodness I have changed, I almost drove back up there and asked her to speak to me just like she did over the phone but she isn’t worth it and never will be. I hope whatever she brought on her shoulders to work with her today, gets better! Because she’s usually really sweet, I don’t even have to ask for condiments because she’ll make sure they are in my bag. Sad. Thank you to the owner for refunding me fully. And to the General Manager for taking care of this on my behalf. Blessings.“
“I got the smash burger, hand cut fries, tots and a cookies and cream shake. Everything was delicious. I forgot to request extra pickles but I didn’t need to because there were actually enough☺️The fries were incredible. I would go just for them alone. The service was lovely. I think some of the other reviews are a bit harsh. They can’t really do anything about the size of their restaurant. The soft serve is dairy free. And that’s what causes it to be icy. Again not in their control. I found the prices to be very reasonable. And they have Mr.Pibb. I’ll definitely go back.“
“Other than DQ and Ryan's, I don't have any memories of soft-serve in Charleston. But the transplants rave about the places back where they're from, and it's hard not to feel like I missed out on something truly wonderful. Then Turbo Cone shows up and instantly fills that anemoia with their catchy name, retro branding and simple options. The entire experience is a vibe, and it's hard not to fall in love. My favorite, oddly enough, is just the swirl (chocolate and vanilla) in a waffle cone. The flavor and texture make it; it's nothing fancy or decadent, but it's such a treat. Our son dips his in something different every time, and loves that as much as I love my swirl cone. They've got something for everyone. Thanks to the owners for sharing a piece of their childhood with us. I get the soft-serve thing now, and I'm grateful I'm able to make similar childhood memories with our son.“
“Cutest sweets shop ever! Loved the ice cream we got (brownie chunk and banana pudding)! We came in close to closing time & were greeted and served with a smile! Would love to try the sweets in the display next time we visit! Would recommend 10/10!!“
“Great way to get a pick me up after dinner. Stopped in to get a couple double espresso shots ☕ to wake up for round two of the weekend. Conveniently located around the corner from the Fleet Landing before we hit King Street for a Charleston night out! ?“
“This is one of the best places on the MUSC campus. This is operated by a husband and wife combo. Jose are Wendy are the best. They know all of their regulars on a first name basis, and its remarkable that they can remember everyone's names. This place is 10/10!“
“Stopped by this Costco while in the area just to stock up on alcohol for the holidays. Having the ABC store separate from the main store made it super quick and easy to pick up a bunch of libations at a reduced price. Great selection and we have found the Kirkland brand liquors of great quality. The spiced rum is surprisingly delicious and a great deal.“
“Melissa and her team at Ye Ole did an awesome job tonight (3-21-24). I brought my 7th grade class to Charleston, and we ate dinner at Ye Ole Fashioned. They got us in and out with lightening speed and accuracy. The food and ice cream were delicious. If you visit Charleston, SC, head on over to Ye Ole Fashioned on Savanah Hwy.“
“Walflin is a FANTASTIC addition to Downtown Charleston. Don't let the location deter you - it shares a shop with an antique store (maybe the same owner?) which is a little odd but I am so happy I tried it. The waffles are incredible and the staff always goes above and beyond. Everyone is so friendly and I can't say enough about the food - SO GOOD! Plus, the waffles are pretty easy to carry around, so no need to eat your dessert inside this antique shop if you don't want - take a stroll down market street while devouring this indulgent dessert!“
“What a gem nestled in the heart of downtown Charleston! This cute little ice cream sandwich shop is an absolute delight for anyone with a sweet tooth. The variety here is astounding! With close to 40 different flavor combinations, it makes it hard to choose. The employee working was incredibly friendly and gave us some of her recommendations, because we were a little overwhelmed. We ended up going with the Cookie Dough, which was vanilla ice cream, chocolate mouse and cookie dough chunks, sandwiched between 2 chocolate cookies. Would highly recommend!!“
“GREAT CHEAP COFFEE!SUPPORT NON PRICE GOUGING LOCAL!Walking down to the shop and grabbing their reasonably priced coffee in the morning has become an almost every day habit. The friendly staff makes it easy to start my day off on a pleasant note! Especially the older gentleman, who is seemingly in an eternal good mood! Keep up the good work!“
“My favorite when visiting Charleston! Lots of different flavors and a fun experience while you walk through the historic city. Sales person Damian explained all the different products very well. They also have ice cream for kids and give free water to homeless people! A great example of a successful veteran owned business.“
“It’s a small and nice place, very cute and friendly service.I ordered 2 scopes of cappuccino chips ice cream in a waffle cone, and it was good—very sweet. I believe it was made based on cream. The waffle cone was also very tasty; I loved it.Perhaps I had hoped they would offer a wider variety of flavors beyond the traditional ones like vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, etc. It’s expensive, but the portion size was pretty big; I had to share with my husband and we both ended up super satisfied.“
“Been wanting to go here since we moved here 3 years ago! Definitely did not disappoint! The cosmic dog was amazing and I loved the Sweet Potato mustard! Fries were hot and delicious and you can’t go wrong with a cold root beer! The staff was beyond friendly and service was quick! Will definitely be back! Also loved the Star Wars decor!“
“This place was absolutely amazing!! The cashier, Rachel was amazing as well. She was so nice and insightful about the place. I had the cookies and cream gelato and it was so good, the macaroons were amazing as well. I will most definitely try this place again when I got back to “
“I stopped by this place on a whim- saw the sign while driving and made a spontaneous decision to turn in. IM SO GLAD I DID. Blake was WONDERFUL. He was very kind and patient- he offered to give me a small sample of every flavor and I was blown away! It's not often you see someone in the service industry take time out of their day to be so kind. This ice cream is incredible- the flavors are bright with a hint of alcohol, perfectly balanced.Thank you for your time today Blake- I will be a lifelong customer. Currently going to lowes foods to buy every pint!“
“We stopped in to get some ice cream while some other members of our party were on a carriage ride. We just so happened to catch tg fudge show and it was amazing!! At the end we received samples of some delicious fudge and had to bring some home. If you hear the bell be sure to check it out!“
“A fun sensory overload of a million colorful sugar selections! I went for the overpriced pralines and fell for the sales/marketing ploy - "buy one pound, get half pound free". Delicious - not as good as Aunt Sally's, and still overpriced, but good pralines are better than no pralines. And they were fresh!“
“My kids love ice cream cake for their birthdays. They have a wide selection of cakes online to choose or premade ones at the store. I like we can customize cake and ice cream flavor. They have been ready when we arrive to pick them up and friendly service. The cakes are always a hit!“
“I mean of course this place is great. Things I love: 1. Walking by and smelling the smells 2. Being able to watch them make stuff in real time like candied apples or fudge 3. Selection is phenomenal between choc covered Oreos, buckeyes, rice crispies, pretzels, etc Things I didn't love: 1. $$$$$$$$$ - pretty pricey but worth it (to a certain extent) 2. Service was meh but I think he was just shy! Bottom line is that you will likely find some sort of dessert to please anyone in your crowd!!“
“This place was such a nice surprise! I’m gluten and dairy intolerant and they had multiple options for me to chose from and they are actually super creamy and delicious! I had a mint chocolate and an espresso chocolate. My friend is a vegetarian and they have bunch of vegan options. She has had gelato often and said this place was rally good. They also gave me samples at the beginning. We are hoping to make it back again soon!“
“The best ice cream in Charleston!! We eat here once a week (at least) and it never misses. They constantly rotate the flavors so there’s always something new to try. Friendly staff and great vibes. Just be prepared to stand in lines, especially when the weather warms up.“
