“How lucky were we to find this place they call Willy Taco while traveling though Spartenburg on our way back to Georgia. From the seemingly simple cheese quesadilla ordered by my daughter to the elegant assembly of fresh ingredients in my trio of menu selected tacos, when our food came out of the kitchen and landed on the table we knew right away we were in for a treat. I ordered the first three tacos on the extensive menu, and flavors packed in the Brisket barbacoa, Southern tide, and the Patagonia steak tacos were nearly more than my taste buds could handle. “I was immediately greeted by a familiar server who told me it was nice to see me again. After taking my seat, I was presented with a menu and was informed there were some new items. For those who frequently dine here, don't fret as the staples we all know and love remain available. I ordered the country fried steak benedict biscuit with home fries. The description on the menu read nicely, but nothing compared to the wonderful presentation that arrived soon after ordering. The biscuit was halved and grilled with pepper jack cheese that was golden perfection. Each half was topped with the aforementioned steak, a poached egg topped with hollandaise sauce, and green chiles. This dish was amazing. The home fries were seasoned and well prepared. As great as the food was, the atmosphere was even better. Genuinely happy and polite personnel catered to all guests on site, one of whom (I think he was a manager) was a proud father of his newborn daughter. This experience was a wonderful way to start my day. I am so happy that the founder of the original location in Pawleys Island, SC, decided to grow the business with its expansion across SC several years ago. “This was my first visit to The Peddler Steak House since they moved to Main St. (Spartanburg SC). We went for Valentine's Day dinner. The ambiance is warm and inviting. There is a great bar for table waiting or just to have drinks and appetizers. The cocktails are very good with specials for Happy Hour. The bartender is friendly. She Kept the drinks flowing while we waited for our table. (They did not take reservations on Valentines Day). There are no dinner menus. The server gives you a slip of paper to select your salad preferences and they create your salad (no longer have a salad bar).The amazing salad is huge. Then a raw whole ribeye is presented to your table and can be cut to your specifications, Or that person will verbally give you other entree options. (Prices are unknown) I felt like Our server was a little "pushy" with the appetizer and dessert offerings as she stated that we "didn't order appetizer or dessert." ( Hinting it was effecting the amount of her tip.) There was so much food and I had baked a beautiful dessert for us to enjoy when we returned home so we had more than enough food with a salad and steak.
