“As a native Texan I grew up on authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. El Rincon brings me back to my Texas roots with a menu of fresh, homemade Mexican dishes that put the local chain Mexican joint to shame. Let's start with the homemade chips and fresh salsa - not jar salsa too often served by other Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a great medium heat and was perfect with the still warm chips. The menu, while simple, is well executed across the board. We all ordered different dishes and each was excellently prepared. Delicious chicken mole, tacos, and carne asada quesadilla prepared with homemade tortillas (there's nothing better) flavorful beef chunks and gooey melted cheese. We finished with crisp, cinnamon covered churros. The restaurant recently acquired their liquor license so we were able to enjoy our meals with cold Modelos and tequila sodas - a huge plus for most Mexican diners. The owner, Idalis, is delightful and deserves the island's support. We desperately need another locally owned, authentic, ethnic restaurant and they've shown me that they deserve our patronage. Although we own a restaurant just a mile away, we'll be having dinner with Idalis and her lovely staff every Tuesday night when we're closed and invite y'all to join us and help El Rincon thrive.“

“My Boss has a very limited fully Kosher diet (no dairy, no gluten, no grains) and was traveling to Charleston from New York City. The Kosher options are very limited in Charleston, so much so, that after doing an extensive internet search, I only found two, possibly three restaurant options. I called up Dining In and spoke with Marcie, who was very gracious in handling my delicate situation and extremely accommodating. The meals were delivered to the hotel room upon arrival and my boss, you know, the one with the discerning palate, was extremely pleased with the menu options and the presentation of it all. If you want certified Kosher, look no further. Dining is it! Keep in mind, they are NOT a restaurant, but a Kosher food catering company that will deliver small-portion meals.“

“Brick Lane catered our wedding of 50+ people at the end of March. I knew I wanted "elevated" Southern food. At the tasting, we were allowed to try several different options to narrow down the menu. We ended up picking 3 hors d'oeuvres (chicken & waffles, fried green tomato bites, pimento cheese biscuits) and 3 small-plate stations (chicken confit with grits, smoked mahi-mahi with salad, mac & cheese bar). They also accommodated my request of no beef or pork. On the day of, the presentation, temperature, and flavor of the foods were all perfect. The serving staff was very kind and Christy a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them!“
“Our family had the pleasure of having Chef Chris into our home for my daughter‘s fifth birthday and my mother-in-law‘s 75th birthday. Chris and his assistant did an awesome job with the preparation of the food, the plating and serving, to clean up. Every single course was quite an experience. Chris’s attention to detail made all of us feel incredibly special and had flavor hints of the Lowcountry. “Came after the beach. The coronas were ice cold, the trio app was delicious (minus the huge chunk of avacado) the tacos were perfect. We all enjoyed them! We had churros for dessert. After having lukewarm beers and no taste tacos at El jefe the night before this place was great!! Our server Jess was super nice too!! PS Ditch the uniform idea! This place is casual, laid back and comfortable. All the servers looked put together and neat with what they had on! Keep your employees happy.“
“The food was excellent. I had the Bogarden omelette with ham, my husband had a BYO breakfast sandwich & My SIL had the ham & cheese omelette. The portions are large enough to share, the veggies were fresh and full of flavor and there was a large drink selection. It is a small indoor seating area but a back patio and tables on the sidewalk provided plenty of seating for this unique and fun cafe. Coffee & water were self serve and plentiful but if you are a coffee snob/connoisseur… bring your own.“
