“Overall, a great experience at 167 Raw!! Quick, efficient ordering to FRESH, DELICIOUS, & CURATED BITES, there wasn’t a beat skipped.I highly recommend and suggest the pork taco and guacamole and chips! This place is great for a crowd where drinks and laughs can be enjoyed.Pros: solid section even for non-seafood eaters (see pork taco & salad), great non alcoholic drink selection, no-frills or fussy service, come as you are, and eat as you wish! Very lively scene.Cons: none; just come early to get your name on the list and enjoy what King Street has to offer ?“
“Recently tried Locals since we used to come to this spot when it was two other different restaurants. Food was good and servers were friendly. It’s got some typical bar food but then stuff like sushi and hibachi. Will definitely come back.Parking: Parking is around the back of restaurant which can be a bit confusing if you’ve never been here. But plenty of spots once you get back there!Kid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendly“
“Outstanding!!! Everything I've had from here is always great! Fresh, tasty, reasonably priced(especially for Charleston). I wish the location was closer to me in West Ashley, I'd eat here multiple times per week, but it's worth the drive. Best casual restaurant in Charleston by far.“
“I went for lunch with a buddy. I got two carnitas tacos with rice and beans which is their lunch special. Everything was great the meat was very flavorful. My friend got the ramen and I tried some and it was very close to being the best ramen I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back and I will definitely get the ramen.“
“I LOVE this restaurant!! It is a regular recommendation to those who are visiting Charleston and want something amazing off the beaten path- the Sushi is TOP NOTCH and sooooo worth the price! Big rolls and the flavors go SO WELL together!!!“
“Beautiful atmosphere for families etc. Except for last nite when samuel hazard from macon, georgia a 6'6 / 6'8 ginger punk sat randomly on my table outside and said I wasn't my 6 y/o daughters dad in front of her. And then rushed me and grabbed my throat when I said yes, yes I am.“
“I have been to fuel several times over the years and was happy to see it remains a fun place to grab a beer and hang out at the double sided open bar. The staff is friendly. The crowd is generally a bit younger but varied and the outdoor space is a big draw. I didn't eat this visit. The prices seemed good and I think this place is a good starting place for an evening an evening out in Charleston. There is decent parking in front and around Fuel, but it fills up fast, so you might need to look around the neighborhood for parking.“
“Better the Food, the service nd the atmosphere I don’t know what to rave about most!!! I stumbled on to this place about 2 months ago nd boy am I glad that I did?? this has become my favorite go-to spot when I get my Mexican cravings which I’ve been having a lot of lately? they also have a “Sauce Table” filled with different flavors of different hot sauces at all spice levels that you can add as much sauce as u need.PS: they have parking in the back of the building if you don’t like the size of their front parking space“
“This is a hidden GEM. My husband and I are from Colorado, home of incredible authentic Mexican food. We have been trying to find something like this here for 2.5 years and finally did! We came for breakfast and got one cheese tamale, one chicken tamale, two breakfast tacos, and the Godzilla breakfast taco. We watched him hand press each ball of raw tortilla dough and cook each to order for the tacos… The flour tortillas were phenomenal. I would come back just to eat those by themselves. They also have a salsa bar with 13 homemade salsas… and pickled onions, jalapeño, onion/cilantro, radish, etc. Not to mention, the man helping us was welcoming, kind, chatted with us, came to check on us multiple times, expressed a lot of gratitude. We are lucky to have driven by this hidden gem this morning before grocery store shopping. Just a great experience. We will be back, often!“
“As a native Texan I grew up on authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. El Rincon brings me back to my Texas roots with a menu of fresh, homemade Mexican dishes that put the local chain Mexican joint to shame. Let's start with the homemade chips and fresh salsa - not jar salsa too often served by other Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a great medium heat and was perfect with the still warm chips. The menu, while simple, is well executed across the board. We all ordered different dishes and each was excellently prepared. Delicious chicken mole, tacos, and carne asada quesadilla prepared with homemade tortillas (there's nothing better) flavorful beef chunks and gooey melted cheese. We finished with crisp, cinnamon covered churros. The restaurant recently acquired their liquor license so we were able to enjoy our meals with cold Modelos and tequila sodas - a huge plus for most Mexican diners. The owner, Idalis, is delightful and deserves the island's support. We desperately need another locally owned, authentic, ethnic restaurant and they've shown me that they deserve our patronage. Although we own a restaurant just a mile away, we'll be having dinner with Idalis and her lovely staff every Tuesday night when we're closed and invite y'all to join us and help El Rincon thrive.“
