“We were driving from Nashville to Memphis for our kids’ sporting events and got hungry on the road. We searched for Italian places and found Picasso Bistro & Pizzeria. The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio that would be great for an afternoon meal or summertime dinner. Inside, the restaurant is spacious and has a separate bar area for adult fun. In the dining room, you also have a view of the pizza oven. We ordered garlic knots and cheese bread. The garlic knots were smothered in Parmesan cheese and came with marinara sauce. The cheese bread was deliciously made with the same sourdough bread as the pizza crust. It also came with three dipping sauces — garlic olive oil, pesto, and marinara. The pizza was amazing with the sourdough base. We ordered a large pepperoni to share, a chicken Parmesan calzone, and a ribeye wrap. All three were so yummy and the portions were large enough for us to take leftovers with us. The service was prompt and friendly. When drinks ran out, they refilled them quickly. In total, we spent around $100 for the four of us, which is about average for a night out with full meals, appetizers, and a couple of beers. Would definitely come back the next time we drive through Jackson, TN.”

Friend and I went with the special. The lobster tail might have seen a minute cooking that it didn't need. It was good, just not perfect. The crab legs and shrimp were perfect. The wait staff was proficient. I've heard the one in Memphis is better. I've never been to that one. I go other places when I'm in Memphis. This one in Jackson is good and others must agree because the parking lot is always full when I'm around. I'll continue to come here when I'm in town and enjoy it every time.”

“My first time here and you walk in and the place is a bit dated. I do however know great things can be found in these type of places. We caught the early bird and paid $13.59 for my fiancée and myself. One daughter was $8.99 and one was free. All in all a really good deal. Jessie brought us sweet tea and told us to have at it. She did a good job and checked on us a few times. This place is sensory overload at first. You can have a big old steak, ribs, roast, chicken wings, shrimp, catfish, meatballs, and ham. For sides it's all country stuff. There's greenbeans, yams, okra, mac & cheese, cabage, potatoes & gravy, greens, broccoli, spinach, pinto beans and everything in a southern garden. They had seafood items and a massive salad bar. The steak and mushrooms was phenomenal. I loved the fried okra and the greenbeans. Excellent mashed potatoes and gravy. Really no complaints with the food at all. I ate like three plates of food to try a bit of everything. Washed it down with excellent sweet tea that Jessie kept full. For dessert I ate a fantastic banana pudding and some peach cobbler. My kids are super picky and ate quite a bit. That alone made it worth it for me. For the price this place has exceptional value. The place needs a face-lift but I like dives and wasn't bothered by it. The food and price were on point and I'll definitely be going back. I highly recommend a visit and catch the early bird and get your senior discount. A really great meal and remember to tip your server. Ours was very good and friendly. Really a good experience at Austin's.”

“Hey just went out to for lunch at Logan's Roadhose in Jackson. Man Everthing was on point... Went in had no wait, was seated immediately and our drinks orders were taken right away. There were so many choices for Appetizers we order a bunch of them. By the time we got our Entrée's we were quite full. Brylie, our server was most accommodating and made sure our orders were made to our specifications. She kept coming back to make sure all was fine and kept refilling our glasses. The owner Aaron also came by a few times to make sure we were totally happy with our meals. If you look at the pictures below I'm sure you'll see the portions are Plentiful and L@@k Delicious. “I traveled a lot in the last 5 years and have eaten at 32 different locations. I have only ever had 1 bad meal and the MP Managing partner was on site and comped my entire meal and invited me back on her. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and everyone was smiling. The music was Christmas and the volume was perfect. Every where I looked was clean and well kept. Today Pam and I and a good friend Jeff who also spent many years in the food industry came in for a Sunday lunch. We began with a House margarita with a Patron kicker while Pam had a glass of Dark Horse Cabernet, and Jeff had water (light weight). We then had a Cactus Blossom which was perfectly cooked not grease at all but crisp and fresh. Pam had a Filet Mid Rare it was cooked perfectly With a house salad with Romaine instead of Iceberg and it was very cold and fresh my gal was very happy. Jeff had the Ribeye and Ribs which he devoured and never said much as he was busy stuffing his face. lol I had a 16oz Mid Rare Prime Rib with a house salad and loaded baker. The Salad was verry cold and crisp and the house made dressing was great. My potato was hot and fluffy. Now My Prime Rib was freaking great. for starters I think it was about 20oz instead of 16oz it was a perfect Mid Rare. Our Server was a gentleman named "Q". One of the best server I have come across in a long while. He had a great personality and very fun, and he had great menu knowledge, and was well versed in the wine list which I find very rare. The Manager Eileen came by the table and asked how we were doing. We had a great chat and we praised her staff and food and she put the focus back on her Staff, a true professional.”

“I had posted in my local FB group where I expressed that I had a difficult past month. Shawarma House personally commented on my post and offered a free birthday meal and dessert for me which I accepted. I went there with my partner, and we were promptly attended to and Daveed (I'm sorry if I got your name wrong!) recommended the lamb gyro platter to me. We chose to dine in and the staff were attentive and seemed to genuinely care about us having good service. My partner ordered the chicken platter and both dishes came with rice, some veggies, tzatziki sauce, and a salad. It was my 2nd time trying lamb and this was my 1st time falling in love with it. The meat was super tender, just as Daveed promised it would be. It was easily one of the best meals I've ever had in Jackson and I'm not saying that because it was free. When it came time for dessert, Daveed brought out not only the baklava that he recommended, but also a plate of knafeh. It was both of our first time trying these desserts for the first time! I'm usually not a big fan of overly sweet desserts so both of these things were perfect for my tastebuds. When it came time to leave, I had expected to receive a bill for at least my partner's meal since they only offered me the free birthday meal and dessert but Daveed said not to worry, that both meals and desserts were on the house. That was the kindest thing that was ever done for me by a local business and we made sure to leave a tip. I felt so at home and at peace dining there and I will for sure be coming back. I highly highly recommend this place for anyone seeking not only a place to eat, but a place to feel welcome. Thank you all again, and I can't wait to see you again! ❤️”

Now that I'm an adult, I find myself planning my departure and arrival times so that I pass through here at mealtimes so I have an excuse to stop! The cornbread, fried chicken, and greens are especially good. If you don't have time to do the buffet (plan better next time!) they also have takeout available at a hot bar in the back at reasonable prices so you can take it with you!”

It was such a bonus that there were gluten free since we were trying to find a birthday treat for my friend with celiac. Also, for anyone like myself who is typically thrown off by the texture and flavor of gluten free foods/ desserts, don’t let that keep you from stopping by. I promise you can’t tell that they are gluten free! Be sure to try the iced coffee too! The custom coffee blend is smooth, rich, and less acidic than most espresso, so it tasted amazing and was easy on the stomach. And the mascarpone topping was the perfect touch to the tiramisu specialty coffee. Overall, they have truly outdone themselves with this business. I will definitely be stopping by anytime I’m in town. What a great addition to Jackson!”

We especially like the pulled barbecue, cabbage, green beans, stir fried vegetables cooked in olive oil, cornbread, and pecan pie. We have not come close to eating everything that is available.”

“I ordered a whole pork shoulder from Diddys on 5/04/2024 because I was expecting out of town Guest. Honestly the meat was tender to the bone and very well seasoned. All they didnt eat they took back with them. I told a friend about Diddys and they got plates from there on 05/10/2024 and said everything was delicious. What a great dining experience.”

Price was 11.50 per box lunch at the time of this review, very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you get. She accepted our gender reveal cupcake request despite being super busy and probably full with orders. Understanding I was probably going to get a “no” due to my last minute request, they called me back and said they could fill the order. This food is authentic. I highly recommend the steak burrito. My friend got eggs, beans, and rice. Judging by the quality of ingredients- it’s not the classic cheap distribution Latin food, that most if not all “mexican restaurants” use, that stray from their roots. Most people don’t know a lot of restaurants use a distributor for food and end up getting canned products. Not here amigo.

“Amazing coffee! This coffee shop is inside a university so when you first enter the premises it looks inaccessible but we took a chance to check it out. It turned out to be a great little shop with a friendly service and seats overlooking three university library. “Doing a bit of cross country travel and stopped in Jackson, TN for the night. Was hungry for real food and found Clifton Brothers BBQ not far from my hotel. I ordered pulled pork and beef brisket. The food was fabulous! The brisket had the right amount of fat to be flavorful and moist. It was smokey and tender and really, it was perfect, so I didnt bother with topping with BBQ sauce.
Usually I prefer brisket, so naturally started with that. But then I tasted the pulled pork. It was PREMIUM! I'd be hard pressed to say which was better, they were both so good!
The staff were super friendly and the inside was clean and tidy.
If youre a bbq lover and in the area, you really should try this place out.”

“I didn’t catch her name, but older black lady was working. We got two medicine balls and a pink drink. Never been a fan on medicine ball, get them to help though. I got home and tried it, told my husband that was the best medicine ball I’ve ever had was so good. Then bout 10 minutes later, my daughter came out of her room and said that was the best pink drink she has ever had( she gets them often). She was very friendly also and did a great job overall”

I told them before I ask I wasn't complaining, just asking. It was good enough that I would have paid 10.99 but where are the fries? Is corn a side? Where's the fries?”
