“Man just plain GREAT BBQ! When I left their, I hand to ask for the doggie bag. The brisket was a hit! That TX cut. Now Bill and I go way back and he's my BBQ Brother. They truly know what they are doing with that smoker! Thank you Bill. I'll see you around!“
“As one would expect, Martin's feature a number of smoked meats. This being true barbeque, pulled pork is featured, but they also have turkey, chicken, fried catfish, and chopped brisket along with a number of freshly prepared sides. They've likewise appropriately taken a stand an have a single sauce at the tables. It's a vinegar based sauce, as God intended, but heavy on the sugar, which is unique to middle Tennessee as far as I know (vinegar based sans sugar being a low country South and North Carolina thing). It's very good, of a little different. They do have ketchup, but it's clearly for the fries, not the meat. Atmosphere is great, with a lot of areas to explore. We actually were there during the eclipse, which was cool, too.“
“Cane here with the Secret Food Tour - East Nashville edition. Great drinks and a pretty good catfish taco. We're from Southern California, so that's a pretty high bar for fish tacos. But these were very good, and everyone else loved them.We sampled the, apparently, famous bushwacker which is a slushy Kahlua, Bailey's, milkshake situation. And also a Bloody Mary, which wasn't the star of the show, but it was good. And the service was very good and the atmosphere is cool.“
“Martin's Barbecue in Nashville, TN, a gem in the southern barbecue scene, offers a delightful experience. The tender pork shoulder, a star on the menu, melts in your mouth, complemented by Jack's Sauce-soaked hoecake. The Brunswick Stew impresses with its rich flavors, featuring butter peas and celery. The potato salad is a tasty side that adds to the culinary delight. The restaurant's fun atmosphere, coupled with both indoor and outdoor seating, creates a welcoming environment. Martin's Barbecue proves to be a satisfying destination for those seeking an eclectic and flavorful southern barbecue experience.“
“Wanted to take time to praise the staff, their service, and food at Mission BBQ. We came to celebrate my husband graduating academy and the staff went out of their way to show sincere appreciation for his service. This establishment honors military and law enforcement and couldn’t have been a better restaurant to dine and celebrate. Not only was the customer service phenomenal the food tasted amazing as well. Your team going above and beyond left a lasting impression and we will definitely be back. Go get some BBQ and delicious cobbler! You can’t go wrong with any menu item it’s all good.“
“Edley's has the best BBQ food in the WORLD! I've never had a bad meal there. I especially love the burnt ends. Service is "help yourself" and I don't mind at all. A lot of times, I like to help myself when wait staff is busy. You order at the counter when you come in. You're given an order number for your table and your glass for your beverage. Find yourself a table and your food is brought to you and you help yourself to your beverage. I haven't ordered anything from the bar, so I can't help there.“
“Excellent food; kim chi had good flavor balance and fermentation, and most of the other sides were also good, kim chi pajeon was very tasty, meats were good (grilled at the table). Also too-easy-to-drink soju selection. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“
“This place was amazing! From the patient host that took our order (group of 6 with two young kids 3 and 5) to the very friendly serving staff that made sure we had every need met, checked in on us regularly and remembered all the little things. The food was sooo good. The wings, grits, and greens were highlights but the FREE banana pudding that we were given as first time patrons stole the show. Drinks were strong and tasty as well. This was our first time to Nashville and when we come back we will make sure to stop in at Edley’s! The staff really went above and beyond for us.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!“
“A really fun concept with the conveyor belt. Limited options with the carb choices, it's either ramen, rice noodle, or rice cake only, and the only vegetables that I saw that were green were lettuce, cabbage, broccoli and bok choy. This place gets BUSY. I was dining for one only, so I was seated immediately at the bar. Two of the sakes that I requested were sold out. They also have sushi, fruit, some side dishes like kimchi and seaweed, and dessert. I sure left feeling full.“
“My mom and I dined in on a Friday night and had the best service stating with Donna who took our orders. We sat in a booth and was immediately greeted by Alfredo who made sure we had everything for our food. He was so nice and even shared his favorite dishes to try next time. Then, Big Al stopped by to see if we needed anything and after sharing his favorites, he brought a sample of the turkey for us to try. So tender and juicy! I recommend trying the turkey, brisket tacos and catfish for entrees and for the sides: green beans, potato salad, okra, fries. Perfect Friday night!“
“A real hidden gem in the neighborhood. A husband and wife fuse Texas BBQ and Mexican street food. A cozy bar upstairs and plenty of outdoor seating. The brisket is delicious. Very creative and tasty sandwiches--try the Texican or the Chicano (brisket with chorizo). Great fries, too. And if you like dessert, please do not skip the Heath bar pie—really. Five stars!“
“I always look for locally owned bbq places whenever I travel. I found Papa Turneys last night and spent about 3 hours there. The food was great! I could have been in, ate, and gone in about 30 minutes. The service was great and fast. After I ate I spent a lot of time listening to the live music. I'm not sure if I liked the food or the atmosphere better! Mike, the owner, was going around talking to everyone there and thanking them for coming in. We started talking about cars and spent a good hour just sitting and talking like old friends. Highly recommend! I can't wait to be back in the area!“
“Talked to a lot of locals and Pucketts was the consensus go to BBQ joint. It did not disappoint. I'm more of a brisket guy(yes I know this ain't Texas). Brisket was ok, but the true stars of the show was the pork and Memphis sweet BBQ, that had a great flavor. BBQ beans were good and they had a good Mac n cheese. Also whatever they put in the fried pimento cheese balls and berry sauce are like Crack, truly a must have appetizer wash it all down with their fruit infused tea for a great BBQ while in Nashville“
“The food was such big portions! Hannah's service was top notch of excellent service, suggestions, and smiles!!! Felt like a homie picnic full of sunshine, delicious food and lots of laughs. Definitely will be back and sending customers your way!! ;) thanks for the good eats y'all!!!“
“My friend and I dropped by Peg Leg Porker yesterday. The place is a straightforward, no-frills BBQ joint that really delivers on flavor. We kicked things off with a batch of chicken wings coated in a superb dry rub--just the right combination of spices. We also shared a full rack of ribs, which were absolutely phenomenal: tender, smoky, and well-seasoned. I don't usually go for dry rub but this was oerfectio For sides, we went with the mac 'n cheese and BBQ beans, both of which were delicious and complemented the mains perfectly. The ambiance is casual and friendly, ideal for a relaxed meal. Service was swift and attentive, which I always appreciate. If you're after solid, tasty barbecue in Nashville, Peg Leg Porker should definitely be on your list.“
“I needed to host a Christmas party for 16 at my house and had one week to plan and no time to cook. I shopped around at local restaurants, but the menu and the price with Matt was hard to beat! With turkey and pork and all the sides, the food was a hit with all my guests. My husband declared it the best BBQ in Nashville and the smoked turkey breast was picked to the bone. Delicious and now I want my own turkey for my family Christmas. Do not miss the pickles. Yum. Thanks Matt for the delicious food and great service.“
“Between my husband and I, we had the brisket, pulled pork, turkey, mac & cheese, cowboy beans, street corn, banana pudding, and a few of the frozen drinks - DELISH!!! I recommend everything we tried. Fun outdoor atmosphere where everyone brought their dogs reminded us of the Katy Trail Ice House in Dallas, which we miss since moving from D to N to Nashville.“
“These guys are amazing you are greeted when you first walk in! And the food is absolutely amazing you can taste the love that goes into each dish! They have a variety of options to choose something different each time! This will definitely be the spot to treat ourselves!! Continued growth and blessings to you business and your family!!“
“Very good but not quite world class bbq. The brisket was slightly dry and you only get one slice, and the pulled pork was pretty good, decent flavor and tenderness. The coleslaw was nothing special, but the queso mac & cheese was the highlight of the meal! The sauce was so thick and gooey it stuck perfectly to the nicely cooked (not mushy) spirals and was just awesome! I would return just for a big bowl of the mac!Reply to owner: I didn’t use the word “love” one time in my review. A 4 star review is technically still quite good. If you want that 5th star, make your brisket juicier next time I visit, and avoid using guilt to try to make me rescore your restaurant; my job is to provide honest reviews, not exist as free advertising for your business.“
“I'm born and raised in Nashville so I know about meat and 3 spots and I will say this soul food spot is in my top 3 if not 2! Very good hot food that makes the tummy happy and taste buds go crazy. Very good people who work there and put there all into making sure you enjoy your food. Dine -in or TO GO they will take care of you. If you haven't been to RAMZYS now is your sign! You won't regret it. Thank you RAMZYs me and the family will be back“
“Great food, fast service, people behind the counter have a sense of humor (told me I was only 40 years late to their grand opening ). I got the combo plate without bologna. Sausage, brisket and turkey were great. I would try different sides when I go back because there are a log of options!“
“So listen, I don’t care what you got goin’ on culinarily but Hugh Baby’s is second to none when it comes to on-demand burger joints. Shake Shack, I said what I said!!First of all, they make the burgers right in front of you so that’s a bonus right off the bat. Secondly, a lot of places say “fresh, never frozen” but still use premade patties and there’s just something about it that just doesn’t sit right with me (maybe it’s the inability to THOROUGHLY season the meat—not just sprinkling something on top.) When you put in your order at Hugh Baby’s on the other hand, the cook opens a refrigerated drawer of GROUND BEEF! I just know in my heart of hearts that somebody’s uncle or tío is hiding in the back, seasoning that ground beef to the gods. Followed hand rolling it into the perfect sized balls to be flattened only at the moment of grilling—I honestly believe it maintains the integrity and balance of seasoned savoriness to juiciness that in turn releases an explosive flavor bomb of delectable deliciousness! Now I know everybody ain’t too keen on the red meat, but don’t you worry! They have Veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, and even old school slug burgers too. Now I was not intending on this review to be a my comestible manifesto but Hugh’s just gets it outta me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.So can we get into the lemonade already?! I really would much rather you spend your time eating Hugh Baby’s than reading this review but I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t mention, suggest, nay implore you to at least try the lemonade. Again I know a lot of people say “OuR LeMoNaDe Is FrEsH!” when in all actuality they might freshly mix some kind of concentrated situation in water and call it a day. Not by any stretch of the imagination would this fly at Hugh Baby’s I can almost guarantee you will probably even have a view of a literal mound of lemons in a huge bowl either recently depleted or waiting to be squeezed. Like Nike said, Just Do It.So I’m gonna wrap up this review right here but before I do, here’s a suggestion:Maybe it’s the 650 lb. man living inside of me but the forbidden combination that I’ve appropriately dubbed “the Barnyard” is probably one of the most dangerously divine things you’ll ever put in your mouth. It’s their crispy yet juicy chicken sandwich topped with Swiss cheese, a burger patty, cheddar cheese and bacon ? Make sure to get lettuce and tomato too cause you can’t have the chicken, cow and pig and not have at least a little touch of the garden.…and speaking of the garden for all my Keto kids out there, the way HB does lettuce burgers puts the rest to absolute shame!! I mean there’s a stability in their lettuce burger that I’ve never before witnessed. And they don’t just give you a few pieces of lettuce that will shrivel and wilt away to sheer nothingness by the time you get halfway through it. Like I said before JUST DO IT!Ok, I’m really done now…I think ? well, for now at least. Next time I’ll remember to take a picture before inhaling the entire order ??♀️Vegetarian options: As a die hard burger burger girl, even I have to admit it: High Baby’s veggie burger is just ? bellísimo!Dietary restrictions: Keto friendlyVegetarian friendlyFlavor friendly“
“I’ve had better pork ribs throughout Midwest but the best brisket by far! Very juicy with nice charred edges, full of fat tickling your tongue and the meat shredded with no resistance. The meat flavor was pretty dominant and my favorite part was the fact I could pick the part of the brisket they were cutting! I don’t even remember the sides“
“This place is amazing,, I had tears in my eyes of joy and felt so lucky. My friend at work recommended it to me I haven't had good chicken wings in over 13 years , coming from Los Angeles. The wings were fresh and hot, , seasoned to perfection and the sauce were all incredible I will be visiting here weekly to try the whole menuThe catfish sandwich looked amazing and so did the bbq I want to thank the chef and owners, for putting such pride and love into your food“
“The service was amazing and the food was outstanding!!! Had the bone-in ribeye and can not say enough good thing. The atmosphere is great but the night we were there, there was a multi-party with kids. They were loud and left a horrible mess. Really felt bad for the cleaning crew.“
“Neighbors is a staple bar in Germantown. They have really good drink specials and if you’re looking to watch any games, they are probably one of the best places to go to. Tons of TVs, they extended their outdoor patio, and when it’s packed during game day, it’s a VIBE! Highly recommend!“
“This place is a secret gem and y'all better hit it up before it becomes too popular for you to snag an order! I got the catfish sammich (add onion, pickles and mustard); it was flawlessly cooked and seasoned. Side of coleslaw was well-dressed and refreshing in between bites.“
“The food was amazing the Mammoth burger and the big game burger were soo good. I cannot wait to come back and try everything else on the menu. Our server was phenomenal, if I'm right his name is Calvin. Moved here from Buffalo and have been looking for real food for awhile, if you want REAL food with REAL quality this is your spot. I can't wait to bring my whole family during this holiday season when they visit. Thanks for a great experience!“
“Scoreboards is always a great time! Killer wings, fresh pork rinds, and a fully loaded sausage and cheese platter are some of my favorite go-to dishes. Management is awesome and the entire staff does a fantastic job even when they’re slammed- which you can definitely expect on a Sunday because it’s the place to be for some Spazzmatic fun!Parking: There is a HUGE lot in the back and on the side of the building. It can get a bit more crowded on the weekend evenings because it is shared with several neighboring venues, but I have always been able to find a spot.Kid-friendliness: There’s an outdoor area with games like corn-hole and kid friendly menu options like chicken tenders etc. Lots of fun for kids in the daytime specifically.“
“If you EVER want BBQ in Nashville, do yourself a favor and go to Edley's on 12th!!! The Very Best BBQ I think I have EVER had!!! The ribs ( and we came in 45 minutes before they closed on a Sunday night!!!) They were so tender and perfect!!! We had potato salad and Mac and cheese ?YUMMMM!!! EVERYTHING was delicious!!! And the service was phenomenal!!!You might be able to tell I REALLY loved it!!! Sincerely , a BBQ fanatic!!!!“
