“I have been coming here for around a year now and this is by far the best BBQ I've had in Nashville!!! Service is great and everyone is Friendly , Hard to come by in these times. The yummy BBQ aroma smells up the entire parking lot making it a great environment!!“
“Lots of food for a very fair price. Ribs were decent, pulled pork and fries were great, but the stars of the show for me personally were the bbq sauce, and the smoked sausage. Both were fantastic that I would consider near top of all bbq in Nashville. Can't wait to try more.“
“While gas station food has a reputation for being, sometimes sketchy, things are looking up.Raise the Roost has a nice little kitchen inside this 7 eleven. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes are as good as most regular sit down restaurants. While you order from the Roost counter, you will pay at the 7 eleven register from a order receipt. There are a few tables for seating if you are taking a break from the road“
“This is one of the very few affordable seafood places that actually has good food that I've eaten at in Tennessee. The staff is friendly, respectful, and willing to answer what questions you have. There are a few different ways of having your food prepared and there is a good amount of food in the combos.“
“It was our first night in Nashville as well as our first time. I have always heard they have excellent BBQ. We arrived about an hour and a half before closing on a Wednesday night. I was disappointed they were sold out of ribs. However, I got the pulled pork tacos and they were delicious! My wife got the pulled pork plate and she said the pulled pork was very good, and she’s very picky. We definitely will be back.“
“As one would expect, Martin's feature a number of smoked meats. This being true barbeque, pulled pork is featured, but they also have turkey, chicken, fried catfish, and chopped brisket along with a number of freshly prepared sides. They've likewise appropriately taken a stand an have a single sauce at the tables. It's a vinegar based sauce, as God intended, but heavy on the sugar, which is unique to middle Tennessee as far as I know (vinegar based sans sugar being a low country South and North Carolina thing). It's very good, of a little different. They do have ketchup, but it's clearly for the fries, not the meat. Atmosphere is great, with a lot of areas to explore. We actually were there during the eclipse, which was cool, too.“
“This was such an easy place to bring our family! Something delicious for everyone, the food was quick, and the young man at the register was so impressive. He was attentive, happy, and juggling a lot of things but still prioritized taking care of everyone. He even asked the kitchen to add some extra heat/spice to my husband’s wings, and he loved them. He is exactly what every company needs up front, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely recommend this place!“
“Martin's Barbecue in Nashville, TN, a gem in the southern barbecue scene, offers a delightful experience. The tender pork shoulder, a star on the menu, melts in your mouth, complemented by Jack's Sauce-soaked hoecake. The Brunswick Stew impresses with its rich flavors, featuring butter peas and celery. The potato salad is a tasty side that adds to the culinary delight. The restaurant's fun atmosphere, coupled with both indoor and outdoor seating, creates a welcoming environment. Martin's Barbecue proves to be a satisfying destination for those seeking an eclectic and flavorful southern barbecue experience.“
“Excellent food; kim chi had good flavor balance and fermentation, and most of the other sides were also good, kim chi pajeon was very tasty, meats were good (grilled at the table). Also too-easy-to-drink soju selection. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“
“THIS PLACE!!! Me and my husband went here just passing through on a roadtrip and I wanted catfish. This was the best, not only catfish I’ve had, but the white beans were incredible, greens were sooo tasty. Nothing lacked flavor. And the lady who got us our food was so kind. AND THE BANANA PUDDING. At first glance it didn’t look special but it’s man o man, I wish I got 2. I would legit drive back just for that catfish yall.“
