“This is one of the first BBQ joints I visited when I moved to the area and I have been craving it ever since. I live further away now, but was in the area last night and decided to stop in again. Fat Boy's is very unique and is a must try in the greater Chattanooga area (Ooltewah). From the outside and inside of the diner to the awesome food, you don't want to miss this place! The number one item I have been craving since I first ate here was their Mac & Cheese ! It is AMAZING and exactly what you are asking for when you think of ultimate comfort food. YUM!!!! I also want to mention for my Vegan and Vegetarian friends they have an extensive menu. Last night I had a cheeseburger and onion rings - Both were perfect! I loved the bun they used that stayed together even with my extra pickles. And the onion rings were still crispy and delicious despite my 20 min commute home! Now I know why I couldn't stop thinking about this place. Next time I won't wait a year to go there again!“
“Went in today with my husband and my son and they were so amazing! Walked in and was immediately greeted with some tasty meat and a free BBQ sauce! They didn’t mind my son having lots of energy and the owner was so sweet and seemed grateful that we chose them to shop with today! Will definitely be going back! “One of the very few places that I have given 5 stars to. My 1 and only complaint is that parking is very tight. I normally go by there on my way from deliveries in Athens and Decatur. Driving a 26 box truck around lunch time. Always clean even the bathrooms are always in great shape. “My daughter loves BBQ and while on spring break this past weekend. I decided to surprise her with BBQ after a long day at several attractions. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. Ribs well seasoned and tender, macaroni appropriate amount of cheesy goodness, potato salad light and refreshing and baked beans were sweet with a touch of smokiness. My 10 year old loved what the restaurant represents as well. (Staff was friendly and helpful)We will be back very soon!!!“

“This place always delivers. Get the loaded tots, or brisket, or pulled pork. Whatever you get you’ll be loving it! My only complaint is their sweet tea is too dang sweet but I’m not originally from here so all is forgiven! We drive 30-40 min for our bbq fix passing 4-5 other joints for this one!“
“We went at a weird time, it was near closing before July 4th holiday. We had decided to go after finding out another place was closed. I'm sure the owners weren't thrilled with us coming at that time! But I'm really thankful they were willing to take our order, and though the selection was limited at that point, they gave us extra food. Really hospitable couple, would definitely like to try again on a normal day. The food has that homecooked taste, which is very comforting.“

“First time trying this BBQ last night at the KW Fall Festival. Best pork sandwich I have ever had, which is saying something because I always speak very highly of another BBQ place in town. The food was excellent!Big Dan himself came out and talked with me a while and told me how many large companies that he has been catering for. If you’re looking for a great meal for your next event, Big Dan’s is the way to go!! Excellent! Can’t wait for more!!“
“Really delicious home-style southern cooking! I don't care for most catfish, but my wife got it here and it tasted really good. I got the roast chicken and it was well seasoned. Okra was fried well and their white beans were super tasty.They seem to serve a mostly take-out clientele, but the staff were very gracious and served us in the dining room. Pulled pork is perfectly cooked and wonderful flavor profile, wings are heads above the rest, ribs though a little over cooked had the perfect smoke and seasoned with a great dry rub, baked beans were spot on, and mac n cheese was not out the box but home made magic!!“
“This was my first time placing an order on their app (which is awesome) and I got the 3 pc honey bbq chicken tender with potato salad as the side. The tenders are GIGANTIC and delicious and I love that they use red potatoes in the potato salad which was also delicious. The pictures don’t do this meal enough justice because the place is so clean and the food is fantastic. Definitely recommend!!!!“
