“A++ experience. Every single bite was outstanding, but in particular the kanpachi and shima aji were all particularly delicious for me. The staff do a great job of giving each party a personalized experience while dining with the full group of 12.
What sets Craft apart from other omakase restaurants is not just the attention to detail of each dish, the elevated simplicity, or execution - it's the non-sushi dishes. On this occasion it was chawanmushi and shrimp aguachile with leche de tigre; in the summer, a beautifully composed compressed watermelon dish was memorable.
Come to Craft to celebrate a special occasion or just because you want an incredible meal you will never forget. They will surprise and delight you every time, and you won't regret it. The Michelin star is very well deserved.“

“Woooooww!! When I moved to Texas I thought I would be doomed in a sushi-less pit of despair where everything was tasteless. This place offers extremely fresh quality sushi that I am surprised to find this far inland. As someone who has lived on multiple coasts, of course this doesn't live up to the oceanside just-caught magnificence. However, they do the best they possibly can here! Thank you for being here“

“A wonderful success.
Every time we go, what happens is this:
We make our initial order. Halfway through eating it, we know we will want more, so we make a secondary order. Halfway through that one, we again realize we want just a last bit more of this or that (or anything at all, just MORE!) and so we put in our *third* order. That's how tasty (Word to the wise: don't sleep on the potato croquette, $2.75. Each diner needs their own, and I need two.).
One does grow tired of this surfeit of overly hip brick and mortars, every place trying to outdo the last in atmospheric proximity to a southern California hotspot. Chilly waiters, navel-gazing menus and stratospheric prices.
In contrast, Uroko is a simple walk up, but the food is as good as any of those places, and the atmosphere is nice enough for a casual date - without resorting to a dusty-dine at one of Austin's fecund food trailer parks. It is super fresh, super delicious, super affordable and accessible Japanese food. It's one of my top favorite places in town.
Vegetarian options: Potato croquettes, miso soup, chili garlic edamame, tofu salad, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, Veg Harumaki, avocado hand roll, pickle hand roll, flower & veg hand roll“

“I’ve been wanting to come to uchi for years, I finally made it in last night with some girlfriends. The food was phenomenal but what really made the night/ meal was our waitress Meg. She picked our menu for us and everything was 10/10. She made the experience at uchi so much better with how attentive and wonderful she is! Will Definintly only dine at uchi in the future if megs waiting on me again.“

“I ate here while in town for Afrotech! I started with the Sunomono Salad (Cucumber, green onion, crab stick, octopus, radish sprouts, sesame seeds with ponzu sauce). I then had two rolls: 1. Who’s Your Daddy? (no rice) (Deep fried crab, cooked shrimp, cream cheese with special sauce); 2. I Love Tuna (in: spicy Tuna, cucumber out: Blue fin Tuna, green onion sauce: Garlic ponzu, green onion, masago) EVERYTHING was amazingly good, the staff was very friendly, efficient, and ensured you had a great dining experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“This place was a great find. In the same area as the Home Depot off 620. Staff are friendly. Food is amazing. Not the typical rolls you get at sushi places. I was skeptical at first, but they are simple and delicious! Sashimi had large portion sizes. I was very pleased. Definitely a place to try if you are into sushi like me.“

“Korean review: really inexpensive and one of the only places in South Austin to get your Korean food fix. I know other reviews had some service problems but experienced NONE of that. Greeted immediately when walking in, we picked our seats and had multiple staff during our hour and a half stay check up on us even with a crowd of others arriving after us. We got the Kimbap appetizer split it for two (was delicious didn't need anything else like a sauce - perfect on it's own!). I got the beef bulgogi and my friend got the Rock Bibimbap with spicy pork (like regular Bibimbap but in a hot pot!). YALL LEMME TELL YOU THIS WAS SO GOOD. I was having an emotional experience with these flavors. Banchan selection was good too. Got 6 of them and one of them kimchi. I'll be back for take out and eventually try out the Japanese and Sushi portion of the menu.“

“Only next level Japanese dining enthusiasts would be able to immediately recognize that they have chosen well. If you are lucky enough to discover the Happy Hour menu then you’ve hit the jackpot. Do yourself a favor and go because ain’t nobody have dry aged fish! What?!? Yes this separates Lucky Robot from the rest of the Japanese places in Austin. Put it on the bucket list folks!“

“The overall quality of the sashimi and sushi is fresh and high-quality, with well-balanced and delicate seasoning. I also think their uni and sake selection are excellent. The only downside is that reservations are extremely difficult to get. That said, the chef was kind and personable, making the dining experience truly enjoyable!“

“I went in for a super early dinner and it wasn't empty! The ramen is quite decent and the pork belly chashu was spot on. The noodles are very nice as well. The miso soup base is had was very rich and flavorful but I think it might be a bit heavy on msg for how thirsty I felt drinking the broth. The service was very attentive and I'd recommend this place for a nice homey bowl of ramen.“

“The nicest workers ever, very hospitable and relaxing environment. Got the tuna nigiri, chashu with pork broth, and seaweed salad all great in their own right, but the best was the seaweed salad. Very refreshing light salad that helped to cleanse my palate.“

“An unforgettable dining experience. Chef Endo and his team provided the greatest omakase journey in Austin. Each new course complimented the previous and built a wonderful foundation of tastes from the Edo period coupled with flavorful cocktails using Japanese liquors. The chef and staff were great company, telling fun stories and laughing with all of us. I was beyond elated when he played guitar after the last course, even tremolo-picking the Happy Birthday song to my girlfriend and two others celebrating. If you love incredible gastronomic adventures and great company, you have to experience Endo.“
“Great chain grocery store, we visit every time we come to Austin, fantastic range of fresh and dry products. Could spend hours here on a hot day just wandering around checking out the displays. Cannot wait to visit again. TIP: This is Texas so remember to buy your wine before Sunday. If you’ve found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up below.“

“Delicious hand rolls and sashimi. Joel and Jasmine served up some tasty treats and walked us through their favorites.
I only took a photo of the cute mochi ice cream sliced down the middle to share.
Only drawback is the first street traffic noise, but 100% coming back here.“

“I am unsure why this place isn't super busy. The people are so nice and the place is owned by the same people that own fat Dragon Chinese. “Tristan was really amazing! He talked me and my date through the entire menu. We got the 8 course happy hour menu for 2 people at $120 total. In my opinion it was definitely worth the money for how full and happy we left. Food was all very yummy! First experience with any of the Uchi restaurants and I’ll definitely be back.“

“When in Westlake, and looking for delicious Chinese this would be the spot. From the moment you enter everyone is smiling, music is playing, and it’s definitely upbeat! Service is almost instantly greeted with water, and someone asking what they can get for you. I love this kind of experience. Food is amazing, and the price is good. Love you guys!“

“this is one of the first restaurants I went to in Austin. 5 years ago and its still a favorite. love the vibe, it's never too busy, the food is delicious and the owners are nice. Today my pregnancy baby brain kicked in and I forgot my purse there and didn't notice for over 2 hours, they set it aside for me at their reserved table so no one would take it. Love drunk fish ❤❤“
