“The best Jalisco food I've ever had. Their margaritas are amazing, and the bean dip was so good I wanted to spoon it. They have so many flavored margaritas, and such a variety of Tequilas. I've only tried the enchiladas and the Jalisco burritos, but this is by far my favorite place in SA.“
“Jackalyn was our waitress and she is so sweet, all the wait staff was very nice. Breakfast is served all day! Food is simply good, I recommend the 3 crispy tacos, if you don't want a lot. Plenty of parking, located close by to Wonderland mall.“
“I recently visited La Panaderia in downtown San Antonio and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of food, particularly their bakery items. The selection and taste were truly impressive. However, one drawback is the long wait times due to the queues when ordering food. Despite this, I highly recommend La Panaderia for anyone seeking delicious food and bakery delights in the area.“
“Staff was super friendly. Ordered the chicharrón en salsa verde and carne asada quesadillas and they were both very tasty. Not to say those extra sauces were so good. Clean facility, nice ambiance, worth every penny. Will definitely be back.“
“Guys definitely recommend this place. As soon as you come in you see all their cute and artisan tableware. We were greeted by the sweetest server as well. They had big food portions and weren't even able to finish all our food. They make their tortillas and bread at the restaurant. Greatly recommend their tortas they are delicious ? their tacos were huge too! ? they do offer mixed drinks and karaoke after 5 till they close so go on over and show some support to this small bussiness.“
“I found this place on Instagram and am very pleased with our first visit. We came for my husbands birthday and were not disappointed. The food is amazing, the staff was friendly and the drinks were top notch ?. I will definitely be back soon. Try the Aguas Locas.“
“Food is consistently good. Very good flavor and quick service. I enjoy the Baja Fish Tacos the best and get it almost everytime I go. The restaurant is small and nothing special to see but for a quick bite it is a nice stop. The employees have always been very nice and helpful. Highly recommend as a place to go.“
“Had the combo 3 beef enchiladas with alambre taco. Everything was excellent and athey had a good selection of different salsas to try. The dining area is small and the place was busy at lunch time. Ordered to go because there weren’t any tables available.“
“Service was amazing the waiter Mo was very attentive and there was also other employees who would ensure we are being taken of. The only downside was the food temperature when being served everything we ordered felt lukewarm. Cocktails were excellent as well.“
“I came here on the recommendation of a chef of Mexican descent. The tacos were amazing! My favorite was the cabaza taco. The tacos are small (hence taquitos), so be sure to order double your normal quantity. You go in, order your tacos at the kitchen window. It comes with lime, cucumber, radish on the side, and (optional) onions and cilantro on the tacos. Then you find a seat and order your drinks from a server. The server also brings 2 salsas to the table. If you want more tacos, you can order additional ones from the server. When you're finished, you pay at the cashier telling them what you ordered. They had upbeat music playing both times I went, and it felt like you are in a well lit taco dance club.Parking: There's a couple of parking lots, so if one is full, try one of the other ones“
“As soon as you walk in, they make you feel like family! Small but cozy place . If a big table is available, they will ask you if it's OK to share the extra space with other patrons if they're willing as well before just sitting them down without ask first. Parking is very limited as well, but we have been lucky to get parking! It is a must place to try if you haven't tried it yet!“
“This taco truck was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting San Antonio and found this place. Their tacos are amazing, probably some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. I have not had tacos that good in a long time. The tortillas that they use for their tacos are the cherry on top for me. We tried the tacos with the queso and our choice of filling. Their lemonade was very good too!“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“
“My wife and I spent a night in San Antonio celebrating our anniversary and came here for Friday Happy Hour around 4pm on the recommendation of a friend. Great little neighborhood that my wife and I are considering moving to from Austin. We ordered the chips and dips with a Carajillo for me and some frozen thing for my wife and I tried the sangria too. The picante sauce had a great smokiness to it, and the queso was awesome (pro tip--cut up the chile they place on the side and add to the queso). The guacamole was the only thing ordinary here...pretty homogenous over chunky, and could us a little dash of something like lime, cilantro, chunks of avocado...something). Ambiance and Atmosphere were both pleasant and plenty of seating outside with dogs allowed to complete the vibe--it's beautiful outside! Service was friendly and I could see coming here a couple times/week if we move to the area from Austin. We can't wait to come back for dinner. Lots of parking available across the street...and nextdoor. 5 stars for sure!“
“?The only thing I would change is the attitude of the guy who was in the window for drinks. He had the ugliest attitude and RBF when I greeted him and then at the end of our purchase …. Gave us prayer hands and said enjoy…. ???… how are you gunna be rude and have an ugly attitude and then throw prayer hands at the end…… anyways, hope he finds another job cuz I would have enjoyed that place so much more without the fake namaste attitude lol?AND THE DRINKS? Overpriced … 2 drinks came out to roughly $35…. For a kombucha and a 10mg THC drink…. -_-✨However, the ladies at the food truck though… THEY WERE ALL COOL AF. And the food was ON POINT! :)✨“
“What the heck, I mean it. Had the chipotle chicken enchiladas. So creamy and flavorful. Never had anything like this up north. We had shrimp nachos and the salsa was unusual (for someone from up north) but super tasty. I hope to go back someday. But for now, I'll always long for this place in San Antonio.“
“LOVEEED the elote, they don’t skimp out on the condiments added. Everything was hot and tasted great! I never write reviews but once I had my first bite, I just had to share. We got beef empanadas, elote w/ Cheetos, churros, and agua de Jamaica. Everything came out better than expected and made our afternoon snack trip a delight.“
“So delicious! We have been looking for a new regular place and this place hit the spot. The owners were so nice and welcoming, we had the enchiladas and the carne guisada which were so good. Tortillas were perfect and the chips and salsa were also delicious. Can’t wait to come back!“
“This is a hidden gem in San Antonio minutes from the SAT international airport. Local favorite & best pork sandwich. Came in and tried their popular Ro-Ho pork sandwich (torta ahogada) and pork taco (taco al pastor) with crunchy pork skin (cuerito). They serve beer and Mexico Coke cola ?. Big shout to Maria and her team to make the experience very enjoyable and delicious meal. Definitely come by with friends or family. Highly recommend for taco chilango and torta ahogada or any pork sandwich. Come by and check out yourself. This is a must stop local favorite before heading to your destination via SAR aripoet.“
“Being from Chicago we found this place and OMG these were ?. We ordered individual tacos and by the pound. The best one I had was the pork belly taco. All tacos are huge and can easily make 2 or 3 our of 1 taco. Salsas cilantro and cebollas come on the side. I will definitely recommend ?“
“San Taco has some of the best authentic Mexican food and service in San Antonio. A HIDDEN GEM. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Limited indoor seating and parking. I ordered a frijolitos con veneno, chilaquiles san taco, tacos, and a cafe de olla. The food came out fast and fresh. Everything tasted amazing. I also got free churros. The prices are also great. Cant wait to come back and try more!“
“Absolutely amazing!!! Took the family on a whim, after sightseeing the Alamo. About 11 min drive. We ordered The Quesabirria, Birria, and Mac and cheese birria. And the whole family loved it. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“Top 3 taco place I’ve ever been to. Ordered the mini tacos. I think my favorite were the pastor. All were amazing. The little bean bowl they included was quite the surprise. I couldn’t stop eating them! Great service as well! This place is legit.“
“OMG this place is an amazing place to eat. Their specials are very affordable. The food is so delicious the kindness of EVERYONE ? are ALWAYS ? smile's. You NEVER need to get up to get a refill or coffee or tea. They don't have to but they ALWAYS give our Granddaughter cookies on the way out. It's a great place.Kid-friendliness: ALWAYS makes conversation with us and our Granddaughter. Some mornings our youngest daughter calls me and says Mama you wanna do Nadines??? I'm like yeaaaah. So anyone looking for a down to earth place to eat where you don't have to flag down your waitress for refills or extra tortillas or anything at all it's a wonderful restaurant and we all recommend this place to everyone.“
“It's been 3 years since we had taco truck tacos in San Antonio, although Tacos La Salsita are now pricing their tacos at $1.50, in comparison to just $1 per taco from 3 years ago, they're still the cheapest and still tasty compared to the other taco trucks around.“
“When we walked in we were greeted by Tay she was nice and answered all the questions we had as it was our first time. Adara was sweet and remade one of our items and brought it out and apologized for the miss hap. Over all it was a great experience and we know next time we can share because it was ALOT of food!!“
“The food was hot and delicious. Everything was fresh including the sweet tea. We had the carne enchiladas and chicken flautas. The enchiladas were tender and cheesy with a great tast and not so strong on the spices. The flautas were crispy and chicken was good. The beans were creamy and flavorful. The rice was great and the tortillas were amazing. What's crazy about this visit is that there were no other customers dining in or walked in during the duration of our entire visit. Service was great.“
“The food was a little above average it wasn't anything special. We stopped by this place last night after dropping off my wifes family. We were exhausted after a long day at Fiesta Texas and we were hungry. So I went on Google maps to find a Mexican restaurant and this restaurant had a 4.7 review rating. So we decided to give it a try. The nachos we ordered were good the only thing I didn't care for was they turned soggy very quickly. The caldo de pollo I ordered was very delicious. What stood out about this restaurant was the customer service and the attentiveness of the owner. He was very kind and explained everything to us. I would definitely come back to this restaurant just because of the customer service. Thank you Ernesto for feeding me and my family!!!“
“CUISHE Stone Oak is one of our favorite places eat.The ambiance of the restaurant is always inviting. The food truly steals the show. Every dish that graced our table was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. From their signature starter caldo de camarón, to their Signature Chef's Board, (try the grilled Pulpo) to their "Mexologia" drinks everything is delicious. From the multiple times we have dined at Cuishe the service is always spectacular. Memo has been our waiter multiple times and he has been fantastic every time.“
“Service was really fast and friendly. We ordered by the pound (to-go) and everything was packaged perfectly so nothing spilled or got smashed. Great value as well. 3lbs of birria, plus tortillas, consomme, and all of the fixings plus drinks for under $70.“
“Small place with great food. best service ive had in a long time. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Everything its delicious and authentic. It will be 1 of my haunts when im in the area. Highly recommend if you want great food outstanding service and not break the bank.“
“1st visit here. Ordered chicken ? tamales to go. Victoria's Tortilla and Tamales are delicious. Chicken tamales were fresh, tasty and seasoned very well. What I also enjoyed was the red salsa, jalapeños salsa and the fresh Pico de Gallo! Highly recommended anyone to come here and spend your money bcuz it's well worth your time! Stay safe??“
“We arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Made me nervous, I know folks will be ready to go home. Don’t want my food slapped on to a plate over salted, etc. We split the poblano chicken enchiladas and the green enchiladas. The chicken was so tender! The sauce for both were delish. Nichas refried beans taste so fresh every time I’m here. Our waiter made this visit even better. Justin was pleasant and on time! Thank you for the great service.“
“This place is an absolute must try! It's all about flavor in an updated Mexican style. It's not your run-of-the-mill type of place. The menu is thoughtfully themed with subtle flavors that complement each other at each part of your meal. For the foodie experience, it's actually affordable too! If you live in SA, and if you don't, come eat here! The world needs more restaurants like this!“
“Food was great. They listened and implemented any special requests. The drive-thru option is a good add but it can be a bit slow compared to a dedicated “fast-food” restaurant. I am glad that they have the option though as it can be convenient when I’m on the go.“
“We had people in town from out of state who requested great tacos and we went right to this spot. I could tell they were surprised when we pulled up to a food truck but once they tried the food, they understood. Two of us got the mini tacos (which I love) and the other two got a torta which they said was amazing. We also got corn in a cup and charro beans to split which were also great!“
“I went Friday night w/ my 17 year old niece, my 2 year old daughter & my mom. Fod is great especially the Gorditas! I absolutely LOVED them!! The Atmosphere, not so much. Totally not a family/ kid friendly type of place. It’s located within the same spot of an outside bar. There is no restrooms pretty much unless your 21+ or else your going to need to drive down the street. Besides that, GREAT GORDITAS :)!!“
“I ordered the breakfast total which had amazing refried beans, flavorful chorizo and eggs on a toasty bolillo bun. It was topped with fresh avocado and sprinkled with queso fresco. I added the green chile from the squeeze bottle, which was obvious homemade. It needed NOTHING!Parking: The parking is a little tricky to navigate as it is located on the other side of the adjacent building.“
“My family ate at the original La Fonda Oak Hills when I was growing up.My mom and I tried Maria Bonita and were really pleased.First, MB kept most of the MCM décor. The food and the staff are outstanding.MB's is now my go-to restaurant for Tex-Mex.This place is a gem.“
“Currently on a quest to find the finest tacos in the Northwest/West region. I've have tried numerous options, and so far these currently stand out as the best. The prices are quite reasonable, and the campechana tacos with the green sauce are simply delicious. The frijoles charros are really tasty too.“
“Good food for a decent price (dinner meals come with drink). The horchata was good but a little watered down but the mango drink was delicious. The beef burrito and enchiladas were a hit with my teens but the tacos de pastor was a bit dry. The salsas were very tasty but would have been better if served with chips. The charro bean aperitif was super tasty! The young lady who served us was terrific but the environment was lacking. Floors were slippery as if they were not thoroughly cleaned, the bathrooms were dirty and the salsa bar (not open) had sitting water on container lids. The place needs a remodel or at least a good cleaning.“
“Barbacoca is good, not too greasy, but does need a little salt added. I had a flower tortilla, which is really good. Corn tortilla is thick and a little dry. Both are homemade..you can get a lb, 1 liter of soda and tortillas for 20 bucks, ask for the family deal. It's cheaper that way. It doesn't come with onions or cilantro.“
“I haven't had machacado tacos in a few years, since my friend back in Houston introduced me to them. I was looking for breakfast to go up by Bandera and Prue and remembered Metro Tacos is there. I had been once before- they are only open for breakfast and lunch, so their timing often doesn't line up with my eating out. But it did this time and I saw the machacado tacos on the menu and ordered a couple. The flavors were great- the eggs mellowing out the hot pepper, machada, and onions while still giving some kick and the machada gives the whole taco a satisfying body that is missing with many other egg breakfast tacos. So if you want yummy breakfast or lunch tacos (carne asada and carne guisada are both tasty as well), head on over and give metro taco a try.“
“They do one thing, and they do it well. The al pastor tacos are cooked correct and they are the same size as you would find on a street cart in Mexico. They have Coke in a glass bottle and they found a way to make Flan even more delicious that usual, adding cajeta should be the new standard!! I'll be back every time I'm in town!!“
“Went in for a wonderful meal and found it! First the hostesses were amazing and laughing set the mood immediately. Ramon took amazing care of us! The food was amazing, we had a hidden menu item, ask about appetizer secrets! Manager came and visited with us, Patron energy with that Grandfather familiarity!!! Enjoyed the Ribeye Steak , made fajitas, we had tacos and Fresca Lemonade and Margarita. Finish with Chorros and swore we would got for gym later!!! Haha we a great addition to a great day. Thank all for making it special!!“
“Went last night to try Pupusas for the first time and the pupusas were great with the slaw and the sauce. Also ordered some pasteles of chicken & cheese, very flavorful. The aguas naturales were also good, and the person taking the orders real friendly and patient. Definitely will be going back.“
“This is a food truck. I don't think it is going to move anytime soon. The gorditas are excellent... I had the asada. They have a couple of picnic tables set up with shade. There was no line to wait to order when I was there. Jones Maltzberger near Wurzbach.“
“Great place to go. You can feed one to a family of four. Not much to choose from which makes it easier. There are burgers and fries for the kids but the name of the place is what you go for. My go to is the meal for two people with half a chicken, beef fajitas half a pound, and a sausage. Yum! Along with it is a side of charro beans, rice, and corn tortillas. I’m not a drinker so for those looking for a beer and dinner this is not the place for it. Family friendly. They do have two locations on Culebra, the newer place is less busy. Must check it out. I think the food is moderately priced. The meal for two, I pay $30 before tip.I’ll post a pic if I find one. I forgot to take one when I was there for dinner 7/25/23.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and noise is welcome.Parking: If it’s busy remember there is another location maybe six blocks down the road on Culebra and Colorado.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessible parking and entrance.“
“I will definitely go back for more! Two tacos for less than $4 Wow! I usually buy a bacon & egg taco & a bean & cheese taco for breakfast. These were delicious & the bean & cheese taco was a big fat taco. I’m glad to finally see that, because it’s probably one of the cheapest taco to make, but not all places make it this way. The flour tortillas are big n fluffy too! Gotta try more food here! Beautiful pan dulce in the case also. Lots of items to taste.“
“Went here to pick up some food online ordering was super convenient as soon as we arrived we were handed our food in drive thru. Arrived home our food was still hot the quesabirria were amazing!!! I had been looking for a go to place for birria and finally found it hubby got mini tacos and those were also so good! They had all the fixings and were stuffed. Will be going back!! Prices are also very reasonable 10/10“
