“Guys definitely recommend this place. As soon as you come in you see all their cute and artisan tableware. We were greeted by the sweetest server as well. They had big food portions and weren't even able to finish all our food. They make their tortillas and bread at the restaurant. Greatly recommend their tortas they are delicious ? their tacos were huge too! ? they do offer mixed drinks and karaoke after 5 till they close so go on over and show some support to this small bussiness.“
“As soon as you walk in, they make you feel like family! Small but cozy place . If a big table is available, they will ask you if it's OK to share the extra space with other patrons if they're willing as well before just sitting them down without ask first. Parking is very limited as well, but we have been lucky to get parking! It is a must place to try if you haven't tried it yet!“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“

The owners were very nice and patient, and they were generous enough to give us some charro beans, and 3 tacos (1 of each meat that they serve), for free!Everything we ate was amazing! “Okay so I have three tacos I use to initially judge Mexican restaurants. Potato & Egg cause that’s a classic and if you mess that up how can I trust you? Carne guisada because that’s all about getting the spice right AND slow cooking the beef correctly, you cant rush art and a tough carne guisada taco tells me a lot. Lastly a chicharron taco because I feel like that not the most common taco so its easy to slack off on the "less popular" tacos.SO! Where does Chelitas stand? Part of me wants to tell you this place sucks because its already too busy and its getting tough to get a table at my new favorite restaurant as is! So all I have to say is if you hate flavor and delicious tortillas youre gonna hate this place! Lets face it, do you REALLY want to have the best tacos in San Antonio just so your standards are raised and everywhere else now falls short? Its hard to see 4k and go back to VHS, so stay away from these 4k tacos for your tastebuds…“
“I was making my way back home to Austin driving through San Antonio when I felt hungry. I popped open Yelp and came across Tacos El Rapido. The pics look good and I decided to call in and order some asada tacos and a papa con todo. The person who picked up the phone was friendly and said the order would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect for me. The food truck is red, well lit, and located in a parking lot by a Circle K and a tire shop. They have several chairs set up in front of the food truck for those who want to dine in. It's cash only but they also accept Zelle, which I used to pay for my order ($19 - which is a good deal for 5 tacos and a potato with carne asada). The order came nicely packed with three different salsas (red, green, and avocado) and some limes. Both the tacos and the potato were delicious! Everything was very warm and the meat was soft and savory. I'll definitely make it a point to recommend it to friends and family in the area and will stop by myself again when I'm in San Antonio. Give them a chance!“

The food portions are perfectly sized and the quality is so amazing that it feels like I’m eating at a Michelin restaurant.My favorite is the chicken tinga dish which is light yet savory. Recently I tried the Mole Amarillo, Piña y Habanero. Yes, that’s right. Mole that’s yellow. It sounds odd but it was delicious. I didn’t leave a drop on my plate when I finished. The crispy pork belly was so tender, a fork cut easily through it and the top was crispy and slightly sweet like award winning barbecue might be.Their margaritas are some of the best I’ve ever had and are always presented so nicely - never messy. The service people are attentive, quick and kind. This is one of my favorite places in town to take visitors to show them good Mexican food.“

“I have been going to this location for our annual Christmas tamales for several years The tamales are so good that we even buy them when it is not the holidays. They are not skimpy with the meat they put inside. They are very tasty, and juicy - not dry. Their menudo and barbacoa is also good. If you try this place you will not be disappointed.“

“I was visiting the laundry mat next door ( I do not recommend) but seen this place in the shopping center! I ordered mini tacos de asado, Picadillo empanada. It was really good, especially the empanada the crust was perfect. The service was fast, the food was hot. salsa and food was very flavorful. “Solid Pollos Asados. With some of the more famous places in town starting to slip in quality I decided to try this place close to home. The chicken was very good! Charro beans good though very salty. The rice is sadly sad. Just some rice boiled in Knorr. But I will still call this place my new go to for Char Chicken. Good job you guys. Staff was fine. Food came out quickly on a slow Sunday. Whole chicken, rice, beans, good fresh corn tortillas (probably from a local molino) a jalepeno, half a grilled onion (very good!) and two salsas. Ok you owe ma another red salsa! heehee. I got one red and one green but I should have got two reds. That stuff is great! “Came here today since I got invited by a co-worker around lunch time. It was super busy but staff seats you quick and are very friendly. Not a long wait for the food. He told me about the restaurant and the fideo loco! Super close to my work. He got the fideo loco which is what they are famous for. I didn’t try it but he said it was amazing. The fideo loco is on the daily special every day. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. I got the small Mexican plate (1 cheese enchilada and 1 crispy taco) with rice and beans. Everything was very flavorful. The rice was yummy. The flour tortillas were homemade and fluffy. The enchilada sauce was super good. I also got a barbacoa taco on the side. I love barbacoa so much and make it myself so I’m super picky when it comes to barbacoa. It’s was really greasy but the taste was delicious. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars because of the barbacoa being greasy but taste wise it was yummy. I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant. I spent about $25! Give them a try“

This was the first time trying the chili relleno and we were very satisfied. The chili relleno wasn't heavy, but was extremely flavorful with the cheese and ground beef. When I crave some good Mexican food for dinner, this is the place we go to. The only thing I'll say is don't go during shift change because the employees are rushing to clean the floors around you and service is scarce. I could not enjoy the smell of my food while eating because all I could smell was floor cleaner. Otherwise, the place is clean and the food is delicious!“

“Great food truck on Potranco. We've stopped here twice and the food was delicious. I love the mini tacos with Al Pastor or Campechano with the green salsa. The quesobirria tacos were yummy with the red salsa. The quesadillas were cheesy and goey. They use red onions on the tacos with cilantro which I love. You can ask for it on the side. There is a sign that says cash only so bring cash just in case. The team is phenomenal! They speak English and Spanish.
