Instead of telling us to come back in a few minutes, they did the polite thing (which is unheard of in today’s society) they told us we are not quite open yet, but we can seat you. They told us it maybe a few minutes for us to get to you. This is totally understandable. Even if they told us to come back we would have understood. But very refreshing for a business and its employees to treat customers like they are more than an inconvenience. The waiter we had was amazing. Very attentive!!! The food was great! My wife and I had a great experience! Good job JW’s Patio!”

Well he suggested something else because they no longer carried that steak but still had it on the menu. On top of that the restaurant A/C was not working well at all and it was pretty hot in there. My boyfriend asked the manager why was it so hot in there. The manager proceeded to tell us that they had five new a/c units and it so happened they were not cooling like they should be. We were like well did you call and have somebody work on it maybe they need to be working on it now. The manager was like well I’ll call and see if they can come check to see what’s wrong and I’ll let you know. Well needless to say he never did come back and to tell us what they said. It was very unprofessional and he did not follow through with what he said he was gonna do so it was very miserably hot and on top of it we did not get what we wanted to order. I’m a first timer to trying Vietnamese cuisine so I didn’t know what to expect and I LOVED it- very fresh - served hot - and our server was helpful explaining the menu to me. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and there were not many people in the restaurant so we did not feel rushed. We had Pho soup, Lo Mien & we also had chicken pot stickers - all was so very VERY good. We will return soon. The menu said they cater. Oh, the possibilities!”

“The Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas hosts an annual crawfish boil, and this year we used Mike at RedTailz to cook for our event, and we have received nothing but fantastic feedback on the crawfish! Not only was the flavor spot on, Mike showed up and got to work cooking 800 lbs of crawfish. He handled our large crowd perfectly and provided some great crawfish and great service. He did an outstanding job and will use him again!”

They take pride in their food and the way they present it to the customers, and they take pride in their customers and make sure that everything is just the way they asked for it to be. Their food is cooked to perfection. The employees are very nice. They have an excellent management team there as well as owner and I highly recommend the place to anybody. I think by far they are the best in the state of Texas and anywhere around this world you will not find a better place than here. I can guarantee you that. For the main course my wife ordered the bone in ribeye with a loaded bake potato and a side salad. My meal was the T bone with rice pilaf and a side of steamed broccoli. My wife asked for medium rare and received a medium rare steak. Seasoning was on point with a nice flame sear. The T bone was ordered rare and received as such. Again the seasoning and sear were perfect. We ordered a mixed drink for her (strawberry margarita) and I had a Mai Tai. Our server was courteous, considerate, and attentive. At no time did we feel pressured to rush a decision and periodically check to verify everything was satisfactory. For the quality of the food, prices were fairly set. The complimentary bread and butter were fantastic. We will definitely eat here again. The only detraction we found was the entry/exit setup. Customers have to exit through the same doors they entered. Exiting past waiting customer entering is a little congested and confusing.”

And if you’re looking for a great time, the bar is always buzzing with regulars, enjoying the night with some of the best bartenders around. These guys are legendary—no frills, just pure talent. I’ve heard whispers that some of them have even earned awards. ;) Whether you’re having a cocktail or just enjoying the company, the energy is contagious. What makes Tokyo even more special is its consistency—whether you’re visiting their IH-10 or Port Arthur location, you’ll find the same incredible food, warm service, and friendly faces. From the hibachi chefs who have been dazzling families for years with tricks that never get old to sushi that even folks from the Pacific coast rave about, it’s truly a place you never forget. I used to visit Tokyo Steakhouse nearly every night when I lived in Beaumont. Now that I’ve moved away, I can’t help but miss those nights—the laughter, the food, the family-like atmosphere. But every time I come back to Beaumont to visit family, you’ll find me sitting at the bar, just like old times, because some places aren’t just restaurants—they’re home. And for me, Tokyo Steakhouse will always be one of those places. Seriously, they’re family and this is not just a review from an ex-employee, but an objective review of by far the best place I’ve ever worked (feels weird calling it that) - never felt like it. I will say hands-down every time I go in there I’m always graded right away by everybody you know and you can tell when you walk into this place. They really take pride in what they do. They take pride in their food and the way they present it to the customers, and they take pride in their customers and make sure that everything is just the way they asked for it to be. Their food is cooked to perfection. The employees are very nice. They have an excellent management team there as well as owner and I highly recommend the place to anybody. I think by far they are the best in the state of Texas and anywhere around this world you will not find a better place than here. I can guarantee you that. When you walk in here and you order your meal and you eat it, I’m gonna guarantee you. You will walk out completely full and you’ll wanna come back again and again and again so if you have not been here or say you’re just visiting the area I highly recommend walking in because you will not be disappointed”

“Tonight me and my boyfriend went to eat at J.wilson’s, they did not have what we ordered on the menu so the manager Dylan came up to ask if he could help. Well he suggested something else because they no longer carried that steak but still had it on the menu. On top of that the restaurant A/C was not working well at all and it was pretty hot in there. My boyfriend asked the manager why was it so hot in there. The manager proceeded to tell us that they had five new a/c units and it so happened they were not cooling like they should be. We were like well did you call and have somebody work on it maybe they need to be working on it now. The manager was like well I’ll call and see if they can come check to see what’s wrong and I’ll let you know. Well needless to say he never did come back and to tell us what they said. It was very unprofessional and he did not follow through with what he said he was gonna do so it was very miserably hot and on top of it we did not get what we wanted to order. They staff is very accommodating and professional, and the food is normally great. Would like to hear from the owner. Chester Burgess”

I took the challenge of the:
• Southwestern Eggrolls: Crispy flour tortillas filled with chicken, black beans, corn, jalapeño Jack cheese, red peppers, and spinach. Served with avocado-ranch—absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.
And:
• Classic Nachos with Chicken: Generous portion with chicken, shredded cheese, black beans, jalapeños, and skillet queso with beef. Served with pico and sour cream, it was hearty and satisfying.”
