“Cypress Grill is a HIDDEN GEM!!! The food and cocktails are consistently top notch with great service to match. The outdoor seating is so lovely anytime of year. The best part? They have GLUTEN FREE fried seafood (catfish, shrimp, crawfish, oysters) and it’s so good! I can’t recommend this place enough!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options“

“I'm Haitian/Cuban Brooklynite and I've been looking for a place in Austin that will help with my Caribbean cravings for aLOOOOOOOOONG 6 years and WOW this place was definitely worth that wait. The flavors are layered, the meat is juicy and succulent the sauce is spectacular. The plantains and fries are fresh and crispy. You can tell that they care about the quality of their food. Now let's talk about presentation, just because they are food truck doesn't mean that they skimp on the visuals. I'm highly impressed and will definitely be back. So so so happy I found this gem ?“

“I'm extremely picky about my desserts, having started my career in baking, and especially when it comes to cheesecakes. I'll rarely attempt to order one off a menu at this point, given how many poor examples I've had throughout the years. The Celia Jacobs Cheesecake Experience, however, gives me hope. Why is no one talking about this little trailer camped out at the Thicket Food Park? I had never heard of it before and wouldn't have thought there was a single option, but lo and behold, they offer over 15 different flavors that are 100% plant-based! What's even more mind-blowing is how FANTASTIC they are. I tried the tuxedo (AKA chocolate and vanilla swirl) which far exceeded all expectations. It's creamy and rich, dense but not cloying, sweet but not sugary, served chilled for a refreshing grand finale on a warm spring evening. Flavors vary and now I just want to stop in everyday to try all of them.“

“We had been seeing advertisements for this place so we stopped for a quick late breakfast (10am) but they were sold out of most hot and savory items. We purchased what was available and we wanted to sit and eat but seating was very meager so we ate in the car.We also ordered king cake - kind of pricey - but well made.“

“Food: ??????Service: ??????Atmosphere: ??????This restaurant has earned The Eat and Chill award. A brief narrative...The Eat and Chill award is not only about the food, but also about the relax after eating because the environment is just full of good vibes. Sitting at the table under the shade of the trees was very relaxing. The service was out of this world. Very good people and positive interactions. I would most definitely go back. Thank you for the excellent service and great atmosphere. ??“

“When we arrived we went straight to our theatre and set down in our seats. The waitress came over and explained how to order! The seats recline and were quite comfy. We splurged and got the bottomless popcorn tossed in real butter ?…it didn’t disappoint!I enjoyed the carnivore pizza with Caulipower (cauliflower) crust. I decided to also make it “angry” which added crushed red pepper, jalapeños, & basil on top.My husband also got the chips and queso and it was also very flavorful. Our server was so sweet and helped us understand everything as first timer visitors. I believe her name was Natalie. ?? She deserves all the praise.“

“I've been coming here for 26 years. Family run and you feel like family when you come in. Great margaritas and staff! I love their breakfast, lunch specials (crispy beef tacos(!), and dinner-steak a la Mexicana, Carne guisada, stuffed avocado. We love La Posada!“

“I really liked the vibe here. It has enjoyable live music, with several throwbacks to things Austin to decorate the place. The staff were attentive and kind. The jambalaya was spicier than expected and a bit dry, but still good. Used a red rice which not a fan of though. All the shrimp dishes were pretty good. The alligator bites were good, and the ettouffe was alright. There was something seriously off with the gumbo though so definitely don't recommend it. But the ettouffe tasted more like a gumbo and the gumbo was more like a bland, riceless soup.“

“The food is consistent which is good. You always know what you’re going to get. The employees are nice. Most of our problems are in the bench seats where I notice many busy their knees on the benches, can’t get the seats out and sit on them without blocking others walking by, and they’re difficult to put back in. I’m glad though that they fix their gates quickly because it seems kids are always breaking them. Twice though I’ve noticed there being broken gates but no one had used other means to keep them closed. Toddlers were running into the street constantly on that day and with parents being unable to see around the playscape, it made it pretty scary. Heating is another issue. There’s heaters on cold days but it seems like they’re only in one spot. All of the parents were trying to find tables that had consistent heat so we all tried to find chairs at about three tables that had heat but didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable. No chairs available inside and even if we went inside, we wouldn’t be able to see our kids outside. The trash cans are constantly overflowing with no employee able to break away to clean them out until the crowd has slowed down. Trash blowing in the wind, trash all over the ground, trash cans covered in ketchup. Needing more trash cans or someone designated to check constantly.New Edit: They really need to take some effort in cleaning the gross grime buildup on the tables and chairs. You can see hand oil, food oils, and dirt in layers on the chairs. It’s disgusting.“

“We enjoyed everything about the Texican Cafe EXCEPT the margarita flite. I'm pretty sure the different "flavors" of margarita we tried were just a pre-mix slush with some syrup added. On the other hand, the enchiladas were delicious and the steaks were really well cooked. They were busy but didn't mind us lingering.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options.“

“I have come to this park several times with my girls and just today we discovered this ice cream parlor, being at the top we had not seen it and we loved it. The place was clean and the girl who helped us was so friendly that we wanted to ask for everything! Very good and varied flavors and super pleasant atmosphere. Great price quality!“

“Visited this place for dinner. Great atmosphere and it has good ambinace. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is very good, we ordered combination Fajitas, spiced it up with serano peppers. The taste of fajitas was just amazing. The flan was not very sweet and did not have usual egg smell. It was just perfect.Parking: Lot of Parking spaces available as it is in big shopping complex.“

“I'm a huge fan of local & non chain restaurants, so when we were looking for a place for dinner my kiddo popped Yelp open and found Taqueria Chapala just off the highway we were headed down. We took a chance and... boy did it pay off. The decor of the place is kind of a fun, old rustic farmhouse feel with a fun sense of humor. We split the mini tacos and birria tacos (because apparently it's the big thing for 2023-2024 and everyone has it.). On the mini tacos - The beef fajitas were delicious. The Al Pastor was good and flavorful. There was a mountain of grilled onions and 2 jalapeños. Perfect for 2 to split. The birria was tasty as well. For those not in the know, birria is like a shredded pot-roast marinated in adobo and put in a pan-fried corn tortilla with delicious Oaxacan cheese. Served with a dipping "soup" on the side. The service was good. The food was good. The price was decent. About $30 out the door including tip.“
“My family and I have been ordering cakes from here for years and they never disappoint. They have a good assortment of flavors and options for different occasions. The cakes are always moist and delicious and best of all fresh. They are always ready on time and can even be ordered the day before. If you aren’t a baker or just don’t have time to bake and decorate a cake this is a great alternative. The location is also convenient for me. Just add ice cream. :)“

“I love dropping by this place. First, Thundercloud, in my opinion, is the bust sub shop in Austin. I always found the service to be prompt and courteous along with a great atmosphere of a small sandwich shop. It's one of my favorite treats.Vegetarian options: I'm not vegetarian, but I do know they have goid options.Parking: It's in a strop center with lots of parking.Dietary restrictions: Same as the vegetarian options. I'd say pretty good options.“

“Went to pick up our packets for the Turkey Trot and decided to snag lunch for the family while we were there. The food was prepared quickly and was tasty, and both employees that assisted me in the drive thru were super friendly and helpful, even though the weather was gross and they were probably getting soaked every time they opened the window.“
