“Amazing spot, especially for gluten-sensitive or those affected by Celiac disease (whose ranks I have been in for over half my life). All of their sides are gluten-free and come out crunchy, hot, and fresh. The gluten-free burger bun doesn't break apart after the first bite, which is a common problem with many other establishments that offer a gluten-free option, and the burger itself is tasty and fresh. Even the soda was more crisp and bubbly than I'm accustomed to from a drive-thru window. 10/10 - will absolutely be back.“

“Our family has gotten delicious to-go food (Spinach mushroom egg taco and PB/choc overnight oats) from R&D. I have also attended a few events catered by them (brunch and lunch). The food is always fresh, creative, and delicious!Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian options—delicious salads and sandwiches. Even ones that weren’t were easily tweaked to become vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: I found the owners and staff very educated on different dietary needs and allergies. They were always happy to make wonderful suggestions or to be willing to accommodate, if needed.“
“I really like the food here. This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Marcos. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Pot Pie and the Shephard's Pie. The patio is dog friendly, and on my most recent visit, I brought my puppy, Bogart. The waitress brought out a bowl with fresh water for him, which was nice. I look forward to my next visit.“

Taco was large loaded and full of flavor. Great deal for the price. Both salsas were fresh and flavorful, and that queso blanco? I'm pretty sure this was the I-chee-wawa... deff recommend.“
“I got the torta w/ pastor and it was delicious! My friend got the burrito an although it looked small it was filling and the beans and rice were cooked to perfection. Highly suggest the horchata! 10/10 definitely recommend it(Worth the cost 8/10) ♥️“
“The food is delicious. The prices are also very reasonable. The lighting is a bit dim for my personal preference, but some additional lighting would greatly enhance the ambiance. It would be wonderful if there were a larger variety of side dishes to choose from. I appreciate the fact that the brisket does not have an overpowering smoky flavor. The buns used for the sandwiches are simply perfect.“

ALWAYS on point...My only thing is... The prices have gotten out. of. hand. I mean, I understand that inflation is happening, it's a thing. Everyone talks about how Starbucks is expensive, and I understand that prices at a local shop are probably gonna be a bit more because they have to support their own... And I'll still try and support wake the dead as much as I'm financially able to but it's getting to a point where I don't think I can afford it anymore. At all.The pic below .. that coffee was $8 and some change. For the SMALLEST cup. That's wiiiiild. Truly. .Idk, anyway, I love wake the dead but the prices have gotten a bit insane.“
