The sauces were absolutely delicious. The teokbokki was amazinggg!! My friend and I adore teokbokki and order it all the time when it's available but this one takes the cake. We devoured it so quick we almost considered ordering another. I really want to try their more traditional food items since it looks incredible! I am definitely coming back. The service was lovely and they even gave us a pineapple shaved ice at the end which was really nice after all of the incredible spicy food.”

When we got the menu, firstly we saw prices almost as same as with another restaurant.

“I have been drinking boba for the better part of 20 years, and I have tried dozens of places. I expected a standard, subpar boba tea place when I went here for the first time. It is the closest boba place to my home, and, upon walking in, you don’t expect much from the place. It’s a small space with post-it notes as decor.
Little did I know, it is the best boba tea I have ever had, and it’s now my go-to for any kind of “comfort food.” My significant other also loves their drinks and food!
Milk T absolutely does not disappoint. I haven’t had a bad drink here, and I haven’t had a bad taiyaki here either. The cheddar cheese taiyaki is like the grilled-cheese sandwich you never knew you needed in your life. The owner is patient and efficient.
Please, give this place a try. It’s hard to find places like this.”

The catfish is a standout—crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The beef chow fun has that delicious wok-hei flavor and is packed with savory goodness. The salted fish fried rice is another must-order, with an incredible depth of flavor, and the black pepper pork belly is rich, tender, and absolutely delicious.
Everything we’ve tried has been excellent, and it’s rare to find a restaurant that maintains this level of quality and consistency. We met Billy, the owner and he was great. If you’re in Carrollton and looking for seriously good food, MAP Kitchen is absolutely worth a visit.”

“I came in to get some of the special promotional szechuan sauce that was available through the app. When I got here the app indicated this particular location was closed even though it was very obviously open. After fiddling with the app I went to the counter and explained the situation to the lady who didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. She asked me if I would like to place my order at the counter. I said yes, but only if I could get the special sauce and she shook her head yes I could. I repeated it again to make absolutely sure she understood what I was asking. After a ridiculously long way I got my food with no sauce at all. Then the manager told me oh were out of it. I explained when I placed my order the only reason I was getting the food was for the sauce and if they didn't have it that I wasn't interested and I was told that they did.”

The acai texture was unique and more on the icy side so it held its shape and didn't melt. The granola and coconut flakes were good and I think homemade. Everything had a natural sweetness without any overpowering flavors in the bowl. We really liked it and would definitely come back if we're in the area, especially on a hot day.”

Yakitoris were tender and juicy. Got the negima and momo yakitoris. Earl grey highball was slightly too sweet, but could probably request for less sweet next time.
…only downside was the AC blowing on us and the food making the food cool down too fast while eating. felt rushed eating because the food was getting cold. wouldn’t recommend sitting in the back table near the restrooms…

I’m not sure if it was a one-off issue or just how the space handles summer weather, but some fans or improved airflow would make a big difference. Still, I’d definitely give it another try—hopefully on a cooler day!”

So Carrollton folks — if you find yourself going to Sushi Kadan or another neighborhood joint — try this one out too! We have another spot for a tasty and healthy dinner. Kid friendly too! The macaroni was fresh and light and the cabbage salad was wonderfully crunchy and a nice contrast in texture. My only regret is not ordering more food for takeout. “I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.”

First off, the atmosphere was very cozy on a cold day, with low lighting and a few trees inside decorated for Christmas. We were served promptly and each got a bento, both around $13-14.
Let me tell you, for that price, we got a LOT of food. We easily could’ve shared. Each came with salad, two gyoza, 4 California rolls, 3 pieces of tempura, some tater tots, and the main course that you chose. Ours came with a LOT of rice and cabbage under our meat. So value for money is no question great here.
I’d say everything in the bento was okay. The tonkotsu was almost burnt and the crust had no flavor, but it was alright. The salad dressing was very lemony, but everything was mostly bland or uninteresting. Definitely filling though!

I ordered the malatang with a mild spice level. The broth had this rich, nutty sesame sauce flavor that reminded me so much of the malatang I used to have in Beijing.
The vegetables looked incredibly fresh, and the only meat option was beef. The beef was pre portioned and packaged, so you can just grab whatever you want. I especially loved the purple and white strip-shaped rice cakes. They had cheese inside, but somehow weren’t greasy or heavy at all. The pumpkin was also soft, starchy, and delicious.
The malatang doesn’t come with rice. Rice is $2 per serving.
The restaurant itself was also super clean. Honestly, I think the taste was even better than every malatang place I’ve tried in Dallas so far.”

The sushi itself was reasonably priced for the quality. Favorite picks were salmon, sea bream, and hotate. The gyu-toro was our top dish as the meat was soft and full of flavor. Honorable mentions have to go to the cocktails, uni pasta, and mushroom risotto.”
