“The food here is so good. Delicious. And filling. The prices are reasonable. Had the jerk chicken sandwich. So good. Huge. Great customer service. The people are friendly and accommodating. The food brought me back to my travels in Jamaica. Highly recommend this food truck. I would post a pic of my food but I ate it all. So delicious. Flavorful. And then I thought I need to find this place and mark it down so I'll remember where to get great Jamaican cuisine.“
“I am not snooty when it comes to good food. If it's good, it's just good. Well, I have scored another secret San Antonio place to eat. This time I ventured into an I-Mart gas station off FM 78 innConverse, TX. This is a small soul food buffet, located inside of a convenience store. The buffet is just to the right of the counter. It's kind of a sketchy setting, where you takeaway your food in a styrofoam container, but the food was delicious. And I am saying that in my best down home, Southern girl vernacular. It was like pulling up to my Mama's table, unbuttoning my pants to eat a home cooked, Southern meal. We sampled the fried pork chops, pig feet, cabbage, green beans, candied yams, mashed potatoes, succotash and cornbread-- and it was good. So good, I forgot to take the photos.The portions are generous, but not outrageous. The food was tasty and well seasoned and the price was more than reasonable and better than most of the soul food restaurants in the San Antonio area. Ya'll know how we do, you better go get you some!!“
“We did takeout from here on December 30th. We ordered the 10 piece bucket of Fried Chicken, Family Fries, a French loaf of bread, and a bucket of Sweet Tea. The Fried Chicken coating was really crispy, but the chicken itself was not seasoned. Large pieces of chicken and the French Fries were good and the tea was really good.Parking: Ample free parking is available.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible.“
“I was very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The workers very nice and helpful, the rib tips were amazing good, the pulled pork plate was delicious, the sides are good as well. I almost forgot to add that the pulled chicken potato was good.Parking: The parking was located across the street and it wasn’t a lot of parking.“
“Best BBQ in SA that I've had so far!I've tried a lot of BBQ here in Sa, and am always disappointed, but this was some incredible BBQ!The chopped brisket was very flavorful, the sausage was really good, and the chicken Quarters were juicy, cooked perfectly and has great flavor as well!I love supporting local, and this place is exactly why! “The food was absolutely delicious. The service was just as amazing. Yes, you will probably have to wait in line longer than you'd like, but I'm sure most people will agree that the food is worth the wait. The staff acknowledges the long wait times and frequently handed back samples for everyone in line. There is adequate seating both indoors and outdoors. A good selection of drinks and PLEASE try to the brisket and/or the pork belly.“
“Brought my family here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the medium ribs and hot tenders along with the dragon fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the medium heat level was just right to give it just the right amount of heat without it being overwhelming. The dragon fries were well seasoned and the Mac was delicious. They're the type of food that you keep on eating even though you're stuffed because they taste so good.My only complaint would be the chicken strips. They were dry, hard and stringy. That being said, I'll definitely be returning based on the other dishes.I'd recommend the texas hot spice for those that truly love spicy. Initially you don't feel it but the heat definitely builds over time! Looking forward to trying their AMF heat to see what it's all about.“
“They came by our apts today, super nice, food was seriously on point.. we caught them as they were gonna get ready to head out and we’re blessed with xtra rice,beans, and Mac.. Customer service goes a long way and they def got that covered.. 3rs Fri of the mnth you can find em at the Wal Mart parking lot off De Zavala and I-10.. Prices are very reasonable and def fair for the quality your getting..Thank you guys for making our Fri night dinner an awesome one“
