“Love this place. Never disappoints. Have been a few times now while visiting my daughter from Virginia. Love the rustic decor. Awesome wall art. Service is always great. I tend to get cosmos but I'm not too crazy about theirs. How good the food is far outweighs this minor drawback. LOVE the pulled pork tachos. Get them every time. Most of the time I just get multiple appetizers. Gyozo perfectly seared and flavorful. Fried shrimp tempura has a nice light batter so you can appreciate the shrimp. Pork belly bao is yummy. Meat so tender. Not too fatty. Slaw adds a nice crunch. Will return here every time I visit. Prices good too Walking through kitchen to get to the bathroom is kinda weird though!”

“We've been to 940's a couple times now and have really enjoyed it. It gets busy so make reservations if you can. The atmosphere can be a little loud but that's to be expected in an open concept space. The servers were helpful and came by to check on us frequently. The food was good. We tried the shaved Brussels sprout salad with goat cheese and apples. The poutine and fries had a tasty sauce that was somewhere between an au jus and a gravy. The pimento cheese dip was ok. I love a good caprese salad so we definitely had to try the caprese skewers and they did not disappoint. Our favorite dish by far was the mushroom ravioli, it was so creamy and earthy. It paired well with our bottle of red wine. We will definitely be back!”

“I'm so thankful that this little cafe is continuing to thrive and grow! I went back to this breakfast joint a couple days ago and got the steak skillet- perfection! It came with your choice of eggs, sautéed peppers and onions, and hash browns! It also included a buttermilk biscuit, but I opted for the fruit instead. The service was incredible! Ask for Haley and Ava on your next visit! They are the best and you will not be disappointed! The inside was super clean and they are consistently updating the interior for their new future customers!”

“I was invited to come to dinner here for a friend's birthday, and was excited to finally try Barley and Board. The restaurant itself is very adorable, and has plenty of opportunities to capture cute photos. Our group was well looked after, and our server continuously came in to check on us. At one point, the manager also came to check on how we were doing, and let us know if we were looking to do anything else they had a whiskey bar upstairs, and downstairs was a speakeasy Latin club! Our group found it to be very cool, and wished we could've went in to check them out but couldn't stay out late. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food, but I think we all loved our drinks more than anything. I ordered their chicken sandwich with only jalapeños and a side of potato chunks. The sandwich tasted great and I finished it entirely, but I was incredibly disappointed by the potato chunks. I don't enjoy eating potato chips with my sandwiches, so I asked if there was a French fry substitution available. Our server let me know they no longer make French fries, but they could provide me with plain potato chunks. I agreed to the substitution, but struggled eating some of them because they were baked for so long the skins were rock hard on some of the chunks. I had to scoop out soft portions of the potatoes which made a bit of a mess on my plate. I wish they could've been better as the substitution did result in a $4 up charge. I ordered a vodka smash for my cocktail, and it was incredibly delicious. It had some sweetness to it, and I loved the fruit the cocktail had. At the end of our meal, our server did ask my friend celebrating her birthday what dessert she'd like to enjoy, and gave her a complimentary new s'mores dessert the restaurant was offering. My friend shared with us, and we all found the dessert to be incredibly delicious. All in all, the experience was nice, but I do think this establishment would be better for some mimosas and light snacking with your friends on the square.”

“Chuy's is a great place to eat. The atmosphere is good, clean restaurant and friendly service. I ordered the ground beef burrito with queso on it. It came with beans and rice. This was Deli and very filling. It's definitely worth every penny! We will return. I'll add photos next time.”

“We were greeted quickly by the lovely owner, she took our order and then chatted with us a bit. We order chips and salsa, the salsa was good. The chips a little thicker than we like but still good. I had a carnitas taco. The taco was on a flour tortilla, with onion and cilantro. The pork was very tender and good. I also had the fajita chicken taco. I would order them both as street tacos next time. My husband had the chicken flauta and quesadilla. The chicken was moist, and the flauta was tasty. Glass bottle cokes for drinks. My husband tried the fountain Mountain Dew but we just aren't fountains soda fans. We will definitely return. And wish this lovely couple of 45 years many more years of happiness.”

He was very patient with me while I had a somewhat complicated food order, then also proceeded to pay with some change, as well as my credit card. I know how frustrating difficult orders can be, especially in a fast food, setting sometimes, but he remained very professional, and even went above and beyond to make sure I had specific items I asked for. I frequent a lot of Whataburger, and sadly, this is not the level of service that I receive most of the time. Kudos to James and the team at this Whataburger closest to me. They are always on point! “1st time at this location in Denton. The service was good, seated within 10 min. The omelet was good. They got the pancake order wrong (one being with chocolate chips). I ordered the tje buttermilk pancakes. The atmosphere was good.”

Had a good soundtrack and enjoyed our mother-daughter breakfast.Parking: Parking is a little difficult as the lot is small and restaurant is located next to a 7-9 lane highway and intersection with the interstate. There is more parking on the backside of building. Has 3-4 handicap parking spaces on the front side of the building but parking spaces are located away from the building. People who use the handicap parking will need to walk across the drive thru lanes to enter the building.Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere, kind staff, and comfy seating that my 6yo was able to easily sit in.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking. Wheelchair ramp. Automatic doors. Some structures may cause narrow passages to maneuver but has tables and counters that are wheelchair accessible.”

“I love coming here because the food is really good. One thing that ruins the dining experience is they have 2 different stereos playing. In the dining area they play Latin music, but in the kitchen they blast whatever music the staff wants to listen to. It makes it feel chaotic and not pleasant hearing two different songs the whole time we’re eating. Also service seems a bit slow. I have to ask for them to bring our desserts out even though it’s clear we’ve finished the entrees. Food is excellent but the dining experience could definitely improve.”

“I've driven by this place for nearly 3 yrs. and finally decided to take my grandson. It was our first time, and it was great. Homemade Root beer was fantastic, the burger my grandson order was just like they used to make them. I ordered the corn dog pretty good. The place was clean the music was great, the gentleman behind the counter was respectful, clean shaved, neatly dressed. The line of friendly people never stopped. My grandson said to me "Is this what food was like back in your day? Because if it was this is awesome!"”

“A very quaint sub shop that bases it's atmosphere around the history of New York. Kind of an odd ball when considering it's location, but the food is excellent, the service is of the highest quality, and it's actually pretty cool to experience art and history that's culturally significant to another place while enjoying a sub. Prices are very fair. I was almost surprised to see a reasonable bill the first time I went. My only real complaint is entirely personal preference and that is that the Cajun style sub doesn't remind me of Cajun food in the slightest. It's still a great sub by itself, but it's very lightly seasoned and not spicy as most folks tend to associate with Cajun food. Overall, it's kind of hard to do better than New York Sub-Way when you're looking for a sub.”

“Older place but clean and organized. A wonderful smell of pancakes as you walk in. Seated right away in a half full dining room, eclectic crowd much usually means good food. Server was pleasant and timely. I ordered the cowboy omelet that comes with exceptional shredded hash brown, and your choice of toast. My wife had the short stack with a side of bacon and hash browns. Both meals were very good and a standard diner fare done very well. I was very impressed with the cook on the hash brown; crispy on the surface but soft on the inside. Most places overcook them but these were the star of the show. One item could be improved and that is the temperature of the milk. I ordered a glass of milk and it was just cool, almost room temp when it should be very cold. Overall, we will definitely come back here.”

“Excellent service. Excellent food. Pancakes were served nice and hot and perfectly cooked. Hot syrup too. The Mediterranean omelette was cooked to perfection. Nice side of fresh fruit. The Starwood eggs benedict were perfect. ( I asked for the hollandaise on the side). Several side dish options. I chose hash browns and cooked crispy, as requested. The coffee was hot and full- bodied. Lots of options on the menu, including gluten free. Belgian waffles. Biscuits. Eggs. Oatmeal. Highly recommend.”

The pepperoni pizza was also good, but was a tad bit small!Parking can be a bit hard to find since it is located in historic downtown Denton.Service was good, but a bit slow.They do not have any high chairs or booster seats! One family next to us was struggling with their toddler. Not very kid friendly, I’d say!”

“I love this restaurant it is my new go to place for delicious authentic Mexican food! I was starving one night back in February when it was really cold and I was craving chicken mole so bad! I haven’t found very many authentic Mexican restaurants in Denton that make Chicken Mole. So I was so excited when I came across Don Chiquitos! They have the best Chicken Mole I have ever had! It was so full of flavor and I also got so full!They give you really big portion sizes! It’s also really affordable a lot more affordable than most restaurants! I have also tried their Al pastor tacos and they are amazing! Im already addicted to Don Chiquitos food and the cheap prices too! This is my new go to authentic Mexican restaurant at the moment!”

“I've eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it- finally remembered to write a review! I typically get the founder, but decided to try the lone star. It was pretty good. The brisket had great flavor and was tender. I wish the meat was more evenly spread amongst the tortilla as it all clumped to the "bottom" of the quesadilla. The top half wasn't eaten as it was just tortilla and cheese. Seasoned fries were amazing as always. I always forget to order extra jalapeño ranch; it's yummy with whatever quesadilla you order AND the fries. Not much spice to it, but I also have a higher tolerance for spice. The cirrus corn salsa was forgettable; tasted like a bland homemade salad that went heavy on corn. Wasn't terrible, wasn't great. I wouldn't order it again. Chips and queso were delish and came free when I signed up for their rewards program. The queso had a Smokey flavor to it and a very subtle heat. The chips had whatever seasoning the fries have, which I love. I do wish the seasoning was distributed more evenly across the chips. I also ordered a limeade with this meal; not too sweet and very refereshing. It could have a tad more of that citrus tart I love so much in lemonades/limeades. A great change of pace from traditional fast food. The workers are nice and the service is fast.”

“One of the few really good fish eatery's in Lubbock. A variety of fish dining options are available, but be sure to order the beans and rice side, it's delicious. My favorite fish served there is the simple white fish, tremendously flavorful and very mild. Do yourself a culinary favor and visit this eatery.”

“I found Hot Spots Eat Fresh after looking around for spots nearby that searched for General Tso's chicken. This is one of my favorite dishes. This restaurant had high reviews, the food pics look good, so I said why not give it a try?I placed a pick up order online from their website and parked and went inside to get my food. I did notice they do have a drive through and curbside pick up. Inside was pretty spacious and it had a few people eating around lunch time on a weekday. My food was ready when I went to get it, which was awesome.General Tso's chicken was very delicious. The piece of chicken meat was fresh and tasty and good pieces, but the tough and chewy parts of the chicken. The flavor was good, not too sweet or spicy. However I wish they had broccoli included. The rice was steamed food and tastes as you would expect white rice from a Chinese restaurant to taste like, bland to mild flavor (It's white rice).I definitely would recommend this spot and you should try them out too. I know I'll be back!”

“This location is always crowded. I looove their Texas toast, and the sweet tea is good too. I personally don't understand the hoopla about the chicken. It's good, but I wouldn't wait in line for 30 minutes for it. Also, what is the deal with their coleslaw?!It's basically served in a container the size of the Canes sauce, lol. What's even the point? You can barely fit your fork in it. We ate inside today and it was nice & clean.”

“This place was busy. I was in the area for a week event and we all got a recommendation to go here. Tried the popular beef dish. A kind of curry. The flavor was delicious however the beef was tough and chewy. The atmosphere was casual and the 80's music was just a little too loud at time's. Worth a try!”

Kind of an odd ball when considering it's location, but the food is excellent, the service is of the highest quality, and it's actually pretty cool to experience art and history that's culturally significant to another place while enjoying a sub. Prices are very fair. I was almost surprised to see a reasonable bill the first time I went. My only real complaint is entirely personal preference and that is that the Cajun style sub doesn't remind me of Cajun food in the slightest. It's still a great sub by itself, but it's very lightly seasoned and not spicy as most folks tend to associate with Cajun food. Overall, it's kind of hard to do better than New York Sub-Way when you're looking for a sub.”

“I was invited to come to dinner here for a friend's birthday, and was excited to finally try Barley and Board. The restaurant itself is very adorable, and has plenty of opportunities to capture cute photos. Our group was well looked after, and our server continuously came in to check on us. At one point, the manager also came to check on how we were doing, and let us know if we were looking to do anything else they had a whiskey bar upstairs, and downstairs was a speakeasy Latin club! Our group found it to be very cool, and wished we could've went in to check them out but couldn't stay out late. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food, but I think we all loved our drinks more than anything. I ordered their chicken sandwich with only jalapeños and a side of potato chunks. The sandwich tasted great and I finished it entirely, but I was incredibly disappointed by the potato chunks. I don't enjoy eating potato chips with my sandwiches, so I asked if there was a French fry substitution available. Our server let me know they no longer make French fries, but they could provide me with plain potato chunks. I agreed to the substitution, but struggled eating some of them because they were baked for so long the skins were rock hard on some of the chunks. I had to scoop out soft portions of the potatoes which made a bit of a mess on my plate. I wish they could've been better as the substitution did result in a $4 up charge. I ordered a vodka smash for my cocktail, and it was incredibly delicious. It had some sweetness to it, and I loved the fruit the cocktail had. At the end of our meal, our server did ask my friend celebrating her birthday what dessert she'd like to enjoy, and gave her a complimentary new s'mores dessert the restaurant was offering. My friend shared with us, and we all found the dessert to be incredibly delicious. All in all, the experience was nice, but I do think this establishment would be better for some mimosas and light snacking with your friends on the square.”
