“Happened to be staying at the Marriott Marquis and decided to eat here since it was adjacent to the hotel. It was a great decision. It is always a plus when patio seating is available. The drinks were amazing and the food was on point. Xochi is an authentic Mexican gem! The vibe, food, and drinks are amazing. The ambiance is vibrant, the dishes are bursting with flavor, and the handcrafted cocktails are a must-try. I highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Houston and, of course, even for locals, for an unforgettable Mexican dining.“

“I'm so glad I had a great experience at Social Beer Garden with their bartenders! Renee provided top-notch service and created a welcoming atmosphere for me. Taking the time to leave a positive review for a business, as well as mentioning the hard work of the bartenders is something i usually dont do, but can be a fantastic way to show my appreciation and support. I hope that my future visits to Social Beer Garden continue to be just as enjoyable thanks to their fantastic bartending team!“

“Because of the food and proximity to the convention center, this has become a tradition every visit to Houston.Great burgers with great ingredients! The rest of the food is great as well.Service was quick and friendly and handled our group of 11 with ease.“
“Nice black owned and women led establishment in East downtown. Definitely bringing the vibes. Great tasting hookahs friendly staff drinks are on point. They’ve got themed nights so you’ll never know what you’ll get on a weekly basis. Came for bingo night. Got to meet amazing locals in the city.“

“Last night we had the most incredible experience. We spent our anniversary at the amazing @reserve101 for their @elijahcraig release. We had the full VIP experience and even left with an oh so special gift from the owners. It just so happened that our anniversary falls on Whiskey Week so this very may become our annual tradition. Thank you to the entire staff and owner Jace for making our night unforgettable.“

“Cool chill spot in downtown! The drinks were strong but everything was really great. The bartenders were a friendly and the place was really nice. I legit would have missed it if I wasn't paying attention when we walked there! Definitely a low key spot in Downtown to chill at!“
“A mixed bag for shows. The local shows are often great and well priced. The pegstar shows can get expensive.Drink selection is average, but pricing is amazing. 5$ can get you a shot and a beer. For food you can have chips. Seriously if you need food this aint the place unless a truck happens to be set up.The bartenders are friendly however due to the often live shows and noise you may need to write down your order on a whiteboard.Black Magic Social Club reminds me of the old dives and venues which are mostly gone these days. Cheap, fun and loud.“

“Stopped in to check this place out during happy hour and was not disappointed. Great low key vibe, service was great and the pizza was the best NY style pizza I’ve had in the city. Flavor and crispiness was on point! Will definitely be coming back and getting pizza to go too!“

“I had an amazing experience at this brewery during an office party. Being the oldest craft brewery in Texas, the place exudes history. The restaurant's artistic decor and Game-of-Thrones vibe with wooden beams and chandeliers create a unique atmosphere.Inside, chapels filled with captivating artwork add to the charm. There's also outside seating by a fountain resembling an overflowing beer chalice, providing a delightful setting for a meal. The Beer Garden, adorned with art cars, adds to the overall appeal.I highly recommend this spot for not just the excellent food and brewery, but also for the rich artworks and historical ambiance. A must-visit!“

“Great little dive bar! Live music venue. Very intimate. My only complaint is when groups show up outside in the backyard area with their boomboxes and 12 packs and camp out. These interlopers should respect the music being played inside and buy their drinks from the bar. They treat it like a public park that allows alcohol. It is a business, not a public property.“

“UPDATE!!!The owner reached out to me about the establishment being closed on Friday when I drove by. Due to the weather in the community, there was a power outage and they had to close early. Knowing this, I decided to swing by again and give them a try.Babyyyyyyy, I'm glad I did! First of all, the customer service was GREAT! I interacted with four different people and everyone was so personable and friendly. I told the man who was helping me that it was my first time and he recommended a drink for me. It was soooooooooooo good (and strong). I'm so glad that I found them and that I came back because they are officially my favorite daiquiri shop in the area.“

“The bar has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I can tell it has its regulars and newbies like me. The bartenders are professional and friendly. The jello-shots come highly recommended, and they do deserve the praise given. And it is a must to have one or two of their frozen drinks, at $6 dollars, it's a great choice! Will definitely be going back anytime I'm downtown and want a great spot to relax at and have a drink.“

“Todd, he works the front door, just before the entrance, he was very kind to us tonight. I mean totally unexpected for a USAF veteran, he didn’t know who we are. I have never been here before, but I tell you what, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you Todd.“
“Great bourbon selection, great drinks, great atmosphere and GREAT customer service!! My husband left his credit card on Saturday night, and they’re closed Sunday and Monday (when we were headed back home), but I got in touch with someone who was able to help us out despite having the day off! Thanks for going above and beyond! We’ll definitely be back and we’ll send our friends!“

“My boyfriend and brother went and had an amazing time. Carletta made sure we were good and the band who was playing was awesome too. The atmosphere is kind of old school, but that’s not a bad thing. We played pool and watched couples dance, and their drink prices are really good!“
“Great intimate theater space. This place is a real find in downtown Houston. Wish I’d found it sooner.“
“Went to this club for the first time in my life with my nephew and his girlfriend and had an absolutely amazing time (I'm 59). I do like house/techno music but have never been to a venue like this is. All I can think about is the next time I go again! I thought partying till 5-6 in the morning would be a little rough but boy was I wrong! Had a fabulous time and everyone I met Saturday night was absolutely amazing as well. If a great haired old man who's almost 60 loved it, can you imagine how the rest of the people feel!!! I do have a bad knee but for some reason, it felt magical that night/morning for some reason ?. Will definitely go again!“

“BEST daiquiris in Pasadena hands down! Been going here for a while, it’s the only spot I’ll get my daiqs at. Lounge area is elegant and it’s always super clean in there. Perfect spot to get away for a bit and not be half an hour away from home. Empanadas are amazing (weekends only), customer service is untouched and drinks always hit the spot. If you’re looking to have a great time don’t even second guess it, go on by you won’t regret it!“

“Is this the same place that used to be the Sow and Cow?“
“We had our wedding here in February of 2024. The space is so incredibly beautiful. It would have been worth it for the view and the vibe alone. To our enormous delight, the staff is also unbelievably friendly and helpful, and the cocktails are to die for.Lawless did not charge an event fee, only the food and beverage minimum, a small fee to do the ceremony on site (ours was $500) and a fee for a day of coordinator (so worth it!).This is a game changer for a wedding budget. We selected the plated dinner, and they were flexible with us on plating when we asked for small adjustments.Every time we had a question, they were extremely responsive. We had concerns about accessibility for our guests with wheelchairs, but the team at Lawless provided detailed instructions on how to access from The Rice elevators. We cannot thank Mel, Emily, Courtney, Morgan, and Caleb enough for making our special day run smoothly and look perfect.“
“Laid back atmosphere. Everyone is of that age that have nothing to prove. The biggest argument you may see is on reasons to argue lol. Only came here so I could eat food and wait for my car to be fixed, turns out I love it. Definitely going back“
“We stumbled upon Lily and Bloom (aka Kingmans Circle) Saturday Sept 2 around 10pm when Etro wasn’t cutting it for us. Lily and Bloom (Kingsman Circle) was wonderful and much better than Etro that night. Etro’s dance floor was too bright, music too loud, and honestly, Etro’s playlist left much to be desired. At Etro, the DJ nor his booth friend noticed me in their peripheral vision when I approached the booth and stood there waving to request “goodbye horses” by Q lazzarus (I dressed like the viral videoRocker Dancer and wanted to recreateThe scene for my friends birthday). We left Etro because it felt lame. Lilly and Bloom (Kingsman Circle) had a Small but quality crowd. Staff was super cool and inviting. Music was good. Bartender in Brazilian cut bikini bottom but her heart and hospitality is what I noticed more than her ample apple bottom. It was warm, friendly, the staff was interactive and made us feel welcome. They were enthusiastic and having fun with us. I highly highly recommend Lilly and Bloom (Kingsman Circle) Ambience felt like a sexy warm speak easy/hip hop neighborhood bar. Black and white Pictures on the walls of notable kings men (Peaky Blinders, JFK) etc. motorcycle as dj booth upstairs. Small corner stage to dance in. Cozy booths. Hot food in the front in sidewalk (Oxtails, Jerk chicken Mac and cheese). Much love to Lily and Bloom/Kingsman Circle. We’ll visit y’all again.“

“We stopped by to pick up dessert. We had never been here before but I was craving a tres leches and could only find it here. The to go server Arely was very welcoming and nice given it was five minutes until closing. The tres leches was delightful. It had a nice not too sweet marsh mellow icing topped with two cinnamon sugared pecans, a drizzle of caramel on the side and garnished with a fresh strawberry.“

“I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast burger and it was delicious. The mimosas were good too. We arrived early, but I must warn you that after 12p, it gets crowded. It would be great if they could add some extra shade to the patio area, as I imagine it will get very hot during the summer.“
“Did this place have a diff name? I think my dad visited in the 80's, maybe was a cantina back then.“

“Owner Mike is a tailor as well as a bartender. This bar was originally a tailor shop with bar added later and both have collectively been in operation for 88 YEARS!It is a very eclectic place with old style bar feel. One may also see someone walk into the bar for an alteration or have a suit made and have a drink in the process.Char Bar is a MUST for someone visiting downtown Houston. We just LUV IT!“

“Lyric Market is a nice food hall centrally located in Downtown Houston. It was my first time visiting. On a Saturday afternoon it was not very busy, and the ambiance was a bit dull. I imagine it gets really packed at certain times. They have a variety of dining options. They provide complimentary 2-hour parking available with a Lyric Market purchase. Great perk. Check them out. I'd visit again. ~This review is for La Cocina by Mexican Mom.~ MEXICAN MOM!!!! Do yall remember the community event in North Houston at Mexican Mom? Well, ten days ago they opened right here in Lyric Market. Stopped by to check out the market and ran right into Mexican Mama herself! We introduced ourselves and mentioned the community event and she came from around the counter to greet us with big hugs!! She also gave us some sweet treats. Mexican Mama is genuine, caring, and so kind. She values her customers and the community that she serves. First, we ordered two empanadas - chicken and cheese & creamy poblano. Tore 'em up! Went back and ordered two more creamy poblano empanadas...clearly, these are my favorite! While eating, she brought over sides of refried beans + spicy avocado sauce w/cojita cheese. A pleasant and delicious surprise! She offered us delicious drinks as well. 10/10 experience and I plan on returning as often as I can! Great customer service! See you soon, Mexican Mama!“

“**Ramen Recommendation**I recently had the pleasure of dining at a popular ramen restaurant, which I was invited to by a colleague. The experience was delightful, and I would like to express my appreciation to Jack, our server, for his exceptional service.Jack provided excellent recommendations from the menu, offering an honest assessment of the appetizers and sharing his unique perspective and enthusiasm for the dishes. The karaage chicken was particularly impressive, and I highly recommend it. The Spicy Tonkutsu garlic ramen was also a standout dish, featuring a flavorful combination of pork, noodles, and a rich broth. This dish is a crowd favorite for good reason, as it is packed with collagen and other beneficial ingredients. In conclusion, Otsuka Ramen & Bar is an excellent choice for ramen enthusiasts or anyone seeking comforting and satisfying cuisine.“
“Came here for the first time. Shelby, the bartender, was AMAZING!!! She followed and enforced every COVID rules. She was super attentive and most importantly, extremely interactive. Super nice bartender! Also, the pizza is amazing! Really cool small bar and has a jukebox. Great place!“
