Every cocktail he creates is a work of art, and the flavors are always spot-on. Not only does Peter have the skills, but he also has a warm and friendly personality that makes you feel welcome at the bar. He's definitely a master of his craft! Now, let's talk about Nino, the hilarious and knowledgeable waiter. Nino's expertise in the menu is impressive, and he's always ready to answer any questions you have about the food or drinks. But what really sets Nino apart is his fantastic sense of humor. You can count on Nino to bring a smile to your face while providing excellent service.Overall, both Peter and Nino are exceptional in their respective roles. “I decided come by and try Mi Tierra as it is around the corner from my office in the up and coming Oak Forest neighborhood. When you first walk in you are greeted by very friendly staff. There were a few other tables enjoying their meals already, but was able to be sat with my party right away. We ordered the "award winning" tacos al pastor as well as the mahi mahi fish taco's. Both were great choices. Light and refreshing the perfect amount of taste. Paired with Mi Tierra margarita. The meal was satisfying. I wish I would have come in sooner. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“

“Don't go for the atmosphere, although it is a very comfortable place. Go for the food and people who work and dine there. The food is quality and satisfying, the service is so kind and the cook is interested in your enjoyment of the food. This is in my opinion a rare find.“

“Really cool spot, love the atmosphere, really creative outdoor seating. The food was excellent, corn tortillas are some of the best I've had. The nachos were piled high and were not light on toppings. The salsas were good, I plan to return and try more of the menu. The photos don't do it justice but the setting was very cozy. The server was very friendly, very nice bar if you're a drinker.Kid-friendliness: They have some activities for kids.“

“Nothing beats the original location of Lupe. The building may feel small in certain spots, but the atmosphere is always lively and cheerful. The food is hot, fresh, and definitely tasty. Their fajitas are definitely worth a try if you've never had them before.“

“Pappasito’s has been one of my favorite restaurants in Houston for many years. We have not been to Pappasito's in a while due to their ever increasing prices, but we tried it one more time on last Thursday. It was around 3:00pm. Not many people. The "Hostess" did not want to seat me. I looked around the empty restaurant and asked why she would not seat me and told me the wait would be 20 minutes. I called the manager. And he gave me an excuse that they were short in personnel and I have to wait, instead of seating us and committing to provide a good positive experience regardless as they have always done it. My positive experience has not been the same and they keep raising their prices to a point that it’s ridiculous high. Lunch for three people, a beef quesadilla, two tacos, a small tortilla soup, water and two drinks $40 per person? Something in their management has changed.“

“I'm so ecstatic to have a solid Mexican restaurant open up so close to where I live! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The restaurant is pretty spacious and service was quick. You get complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa was so deliciously spicy. I ordered the chicken flautas and loved them. They were neither too dry nor too oily. Perfectly crispy and they paired well with the salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Their rice was cooked well, and I'm a sucker for good arroz rojo. I also tried a michelada and that was the perfect, refreshing complement to my meal. I'm excited to come back here whenever I'm craving Mexican food so I can try their other dishes!“

“We love Gringo’s it is our favorite chicken enchiladas. I get them every time. My husband loves the fajita enchiladas. We are never disappointed. My son who lives in upstate New York where they have no idea what great Mexican food is comes to see us and as soon as he’s here we come straight to Gringos. We had an and absolutely super waiter, by the name of Justin. Friendly, polite and just plain nice. We have always had good food, good service and good fun.“

“I had been traveling all day to get here for a work trip. I was hungry fir dinner, my hotel didn't have a restaurant, I don't have a rental car as meeting up with several co-workers. This place is tight across the street. An easy walk, nice to stretch my legs after being on airplanes.Efrain was super friendly. I ordered the Baja salad with chicken and a horchata. The salad was topped with all kinds of fresh toppings. The tomatillo sauce was amazing and the perfect touch to the salad.Portions were generous and prices reasonable.I wish we had this near home.“

“O-M-G! The vibe is awesome! I walked in and it is picture perfect for taking selfies! As I sit at bar in the middle of the restaurant with surround seating, I realize this bar is ideal for a bar-tesian like myself. The see-through kitchen was modern and sleek. It has the feel of a traditional Mexican restaurant from the menu to the music pumping through the sound system. The food is THE BEST I HAVE HAD IN HOUSTON. The Margaritas were delicious! Make sure to order the MARGARITA FLIGHT when you come! I am thoroughly impressed with the hostess, bartender, and the rest of the staff. Very professional and appreciated. I love the glass enclosure for private parties, OH and I can not forget the PATIO!!! This is truly a hidden gem. I will be here every time I travel to Houston!“

“The staff was good. Destiny was all smiles and helpful. The chips and salsa...(Man the salsa ?) is great!!! I also enjoyed the Tinga Enchilada and rice combo with the snapper taco except for the snapper taco, but that was corrected by giving me a crispy beef taco instead. Overall I enjoyed my time there! Will go again!“

“Valencia's Tex-Mex Garage catered an event for me yesterday and they were amazing to work with! The breakfast tacos were fantastic and the homemade tortillas....yummy! I highly recommend them as a "go-to" for a meal but also for catering! Love supporting a local, family-owned company!“

“Went there on a Saturday night. The food was good and our server was great! The drink menu also looked exciting. However, the drink I ordered was supposed to be strong, which definitely wasn’t. But the reason I have to take away one star is the environment. It is a huge restaurant with multiple flanks which was super crowded to the point of being unorganized. Also the floor was not clean enough, which wasn’t a surprise given the number of people there. It really felt like a crowded street inside. Overall, it is decent place, but the environment lacks the desirable character to provide a memorable experience.“

“Lovely brunch...I wish there were more hot food options, seemed to focus more on salads and cold foods, but on a Sunday I tend to enjoy something a bit heartier. The flan is absolutely DIVINE!...ambiance is very upscale. Beautiful surroundings.Complimentary valet parking, High dollar btw.“

“The NW location of El Tiempo was excellent. The food always comes out hot and fresh. Their red and green salsas are very good. They sent me a $20 off entree' coupon for my birthday which was awesome! They sang HBD song and me a tres leches cake with whipped cream and fresh fruit. The waitress was so nice and attentive. I would recommended going to El Tempo Cantina!“

“Came in about 7:15 and was promptly seated. Chips with red and green sauce quickly followed. The red sauce has a little zing to it. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Good selection on the menu. I ordered the cheese enchiladas; they arrived in less than five minutes with the accompanying rice and refried beans. A good meal. The prices seemed comparable to other Mexican restaurants in the area.“

“Lovely restaurant! We had a party of 14, called ahead to put our name on the waitlist, and was seated within ten minutes of our arrival. The hostess, Valeria, was so kind and friendly! I don’t remember our waiter’s name, but he was very patient and present. Every drink that was ordered was well liked. I ordered the Margarita Azul, it was very good! The food came out in a timely manner and was hot. I recommend the fajita burrito with a side of queso! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it.“

“A bit out of our way, but we came on a Monday specifically to try their Monday's half off margaritas special..The complementary chips & salsa were good.Hubby & I decided to share the fish tacos & beef quesadillas - for $16.95 each plate, the food was just OK.I got a regular-size strawberry ? margarita with tajin on the rim & hubby got a regular-size spicy cucumber ?? margarita with tajin on the rim - at the time of this review, it was half off $10 so $5 each - tasty & surprisingly pretty strong. Will be back to try the standard lime margarita & also the mango chipotle flavored margarita.“

“This is the first time I’ve been to this location since it was Aguirres. The decor is good, and our server Gabe was phenomenal. He checked with the kitchen for any request/question we had, and he always kept us informed if there was a delay with food or drink. A few things I would recommend would be:- Menu: The first part when you open the menu is a weekly list of specials and then you get to the appetizers/regular menu. I would take the weekly specials out and leave them on the tables as a separate menu to order from. There was not a non-alcoholic drink menu that I could find, I asked for bottled Mexican coke, and then agua frescas to be told neither was offered. They do have fresh lemonade however. Coffee was not listed on the menu which I got a latte after my meal, and there were many options for coffee our waiter gave us that were not on a menu. I also did not see desserts in the regular menu, perhaps having a separate dessert menu would be helpful.-Food: Overall the food was good, and the price is wonderful. I wish I had greater variety of salsa- neither salsa was spicy. When you order queso however, out waiter offered us pickled or fresh jalapeños on the side, and the pickled jalapeños appear to be made in house or they are a good canned batch of jalapeños. I got two shrimp tacos for the Saturday seafood special- and I wish the tacos were tostadas instead. The shrimp was cooked well, and the coleslaw was well done, but the sauce completely ruined the integrity of the tortillas and it became a wet, sloppy mess. Maybe using tortillas mixtas also would work since that’s a thicker consistency than regular flour tortillas. I ended up using tortilla chips to scoop out the coleslaw filling out of the tortilla, which by the way the tortilla chips are the excellent amount of crunch and flavor. I wish the shrimp tacos were made as a ceviche style to give a raw, or crudo, element to the crunchiness of the coleslaw and the lime would help cut the creaminess of the coleslaw. There was supposed to be chipotle in the tacos somewhere- but I couldn’t identify or taste it. If there was a giant tortilla chip tostada served cold with the shrimp ceviche and the coleslaw, guacamole/avocado, with chipotle I could eat that all day. The charro beans are perfection, and I didn’t get anything else but I feel the dishes have great potential to be elevated and really delicious, since the foundation of the food is really good.I would definitely come back again to see if the service and consistency of the food is the same.“

“Queso and bean dip, great, guacamole was mostly lettuce with some avocado in it, that was a huge disappointment. No green salsa, that’s almost a deal breaker. Chicken fajitas quite delicious. Hopefully they will introduce some green salsa in the near future.*I moved the start rating from 3 to 4, since the owner/manager informed me they do have two different green salsas upon request, I was not aware of that. Next time we are there and get the chips & red salsa, will request for the green salsas as well.“

“This place is the best. We come here every week. The food is great, but the people are even better. Caesar was a fantastic server. He treated us with nothing but respect even though we had a crying newborn. Leylis is an amazing manager and was awesome. She came and talked to us and was great with our kids. I will continue coming here every week and eating the delicious food and enjoying the company“
“We love this place. In my opinion, they have the best cheese enchiladas in town. The enchiladas are always hot and gooey with cheese. I get them with onions. I also love the beef fajita taco ala Mexicana. It's not on the menu. It's basically a beef fajita taco with grilled tomatoes, onions, and Serrano peppers. Prepare your mouth for some peppery heat because the Serranos pack a lot of heat. The salsa is always spot on. The tortilla chips are just your standard chips. As a side note, be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours, usually between 5 and 7.“

“Im of Hispanic descent and I have to admit that I judge a restaurant by their Salsa! . So let's not dance around the subject! ;). I have not had this level of authentic food in a very long time. Prices were SUPER affordable, I bought a plate of food, two tacos, and a snack Queso Dip for $19. Unheard of in the economy! “Not just this location, but ??? Los Cucos restaurants are awesome. We receive consistent great service, several menu options to choose from, and amazing food. I love their house sauce they put on their fajitas, and the margarita varieties are excellent. Our last visit was on a Saturday night, and they had a live band playing. Patrons were enjoying the music so much, some got up to dance. This place is worth a visit if you love Mexican food.♥️????Parking: The parking lot for the restaurant itself is not very big, but it’s located inside a strip center where it shares parking for other businesses. So you’ll have a place to park, but it may not be close to the door during peak times. This particular location is never crowded, so it won’t be a problem.??“
