“Tried this place after reading all the reviews. Can't say that I was disappointed! It was very good and the service was great. Also, for a food truck, it was exceptionally clean!We had the chicken pad Thai, chicken massaman curry and shrimp basil and don't forget the mango sticky rice! It smelled Devine.We couldn't wait to eat so we sat on the back of the SUV and ate it there. Everything was delicious and hot.We'll definitely go back soon and recommend it to everyone.“

“After a pretty horrible day and skipping breakfast and lunch, I googled for food near me, saw Thai with a good rating from newer reviews, and stopped in here. I’ve passed this place many times, and it’s definitely and older building from businesses long ago but once inside you wouldn’t know that! ? It’s like going from the outside to inside there’s a vibe change, right down to the funky rendition of California Dreamin’.Inside there are fresh plants and even the bathroom is spruced up with pretty faux flowers (and super big, clean, for cleaning up or changing your kid, even a spare chair if you been running around and just need to sit a minute. lol can’t believe how impressed I was with the bathroom but again compared to age of the building outside and part of town it’s in, what a PLEASANT shock! These ladies at Thai Cafe take PRIDE! ?), paintings of Thai culture as well as a tv and some photos of their foods. There are about 10 tables that sit 4-8 people, with another 10 or so that sit two. The ambiance is bright with soft yellow and white topping off the good vibes.Food?Ohhhh yes, food! In the menu are pictures so you can see what to order; I ordered the sweet and sour chicken dish with fried egg and steamed rice. It came with daikon soup that was mild, piping hot in temperature, and delicious. I kept the spice level suggested in the menu (mild) even tho I usually like high spice, and it was just enough to give a kick without any heartburn. The portion size was generous and check out the coloring on that fried egg, cooked to a perfect over easy. Rice was not too soft or too hard; not sure what rice they use but I would definitely eat it again. I was also happy that among the mountain of chicken, you could see good portion of the veg too. Mine had jalapeño, pineapple, tomatoes, and - who woulda thought warm ones were so good?! - cucumbers.Service for my table start to finish was by a woman named Liila (say: Lee-lah) and she was sweet and attentive without being overbearing, and very positive and inviting both about the place and also when I asked her about a flyer for what turns out is her Buddhist Temple. If everyone there is as cool as her, you may see a review from me there.Liila told me that Thai Cafe has been open since ? 1998; my only regret for this experience was that I wish I came here sooner. Don’t wait, GO! Make them thrive for another 30 years!!“

“We came here because I was craving sushi and my wife was craving Chinese food. I saw on their photos that they had both. Unfortunately when we walked in they had a big sign saying no sushi at this time. I was disappointed but still wanted to give them a shot. And I'm glad I did. Our waitress and the food were great. We had the eggrolls to start then I had the lemon chicken and my wife had the general tsos. I was fine with the sticky rice that it came with but my wife got the fried rice and it was $3 more. I thought that was a little excessive but maybe that's just me. But we'll definitely be back to try more of their dishes. Their menu is extensive!Lemon chicken“

“My husband and mother in law had never been here so I took them for their first visit. My husband was so impressed he wants us to have a weekly date night here. My MIL had never had cucumber salad or Thai fried rice and enjoyed both very much. The service was excellent as was the food. I don’t know why we waited so long to come back here (I’d been several years ago and enjoyed it) but we will become regulars. I highly recommend the Pad Thai, cucumber salad, summer rolls, and Penny roll! Delish!“

“First time coming here and let me just say....thus place is clean....super clean. Very good first sign! The he staff is very friendly and attentive. I got the pad Thai with chicken spicy and it was delicious! So much flavor and so yummy! My kiddos split the Thai fried rice with chicken and it was soooooo good! We ordered the gyoza as an appetizer and orders 4 Thai teas which were delicious! Highly recommend this hidden gem! You won't be disappointed!!!“

“This is a hard one to rate. Some of their food was really good and some was really bad. Portion sizes were really good for the price. Cucumber salad was really good, papaya salad was not good at all. Main entree was good but quite different than what I normally get when I order the same dish at other Thai restaurants, which kind of threw me for a loop. Wasn't bad, just different Vegetables and seasonings than what I am used to.“

“Lunch portion was a pretty decent size, pad thai was good, though I think next time I'll get a hot instead of the medium since it was still pretty mild for my taste. The thai tea was too milky. Overall I would visit again.Parking: Went around lunch time, parking was ok but the lot is shared with other businesses so it might be more difficult during the dinner rush“

“I always come here and man they make me happy, from owner to everyone in this restaurant they make you feel amazing and food is always fresh and phenomenal and super tasty and price amazing too. If you are in the area definitely stop by to try them out“

“If I lived closer I would be here at least once a week. This place has the BEST pho in San Antonio. The broth is just so good. The workers are very nice and even remember us now. It gets a little quiet inside sometimes but there’s something about the 5 minute crafts they play constantly that makes me enjoy the experience a little more. I’ll probably always come back here“

“The food are very good and the portion is very generous. The owners are very nice and they remember what is my usual order. The ingredient is fresh and good quality. I highly recommend this place. I hope that the owners could find more help and open the dine-in service soon. It is just two of them running this place and they try their best to provide the best food and service. So if they are busy please be kind to them.“

“The only regret I have is not living closer so I can be here more often! Before I even ordered food, the service was impeccable. My card was compromised at 5am Sunday and although I opted to wait until Monday morning to deal with it, the bank put a hold on my account, rightfully so. They were so patient as I dealt with trying to transfer funds to another account and even started on my order so when it would be ready by the time I completed payment. By the time I made payment, food was packed and hot! We were so hungry, we decided to eat it there. We had no problem eating it in our to go boxes, but they insisted on putting it on plates. The food was amazing! Best Thai food I've ever had here in town. I'm so grateful for a restaurant that has food that aligns with their service and values. We can't wait to return!“
