“My server, Dawn, was SUPERB! She was attentive, told me that getting my bacon and hash browns extra crispy might be a challenge for the cooks but that they would do their best. The hash browns and bacon were PERFECTLY done. My coffee was always full and she always checked to see how I was doing. Definitely a keeper!“

“Let’s talk about the best 54th street in town!!!!! I love this 54th street, I have been picking up orders for Uber for almost two years and the longest wait time I have ever had was 15 minutes. They were extremely busy, so I understood why. They are super quick , super professional and the food is out of the water . This is the only 54th street in town that I can honestly say I haven’t had a problem with. Wether it be for work or to eat inside. I 100% recommend this specific 54th street to anyone that wants to go to a fabulous restaurant for food.“

“First went there earlier this year, impressed us the minute we walked in the door, employees greet you upon entering with a truly warm, illuminating smile. When we were seated, we wanted to watch a certain game and the manager, Laura really went out of her way, bent over backwards to ensure they found the game(s) we wanted to watch, then ensured that the games would stay on ! The waitress who waited on us ( can't remember her name ) was exactly like the manager, helpful, courteous and quick with her service, thus resulting in making this our favorite location for watching sports with the drinks and menu items to order, with this type service, we will always make this our number 1 location !! “Went to this place with friends after another place was closed. Staff was friendly. We had the some appetizers like the gyoza dumplings (pork) fried that was really good. Also the Edamame and Jalapeño Lagoon which is jalapeño deep fried with cream cheese and crab meat. I had the Avocado roll which has Chicken Tempura, avocado, cucumber and sushi rice. Normally they would top it with spicy crab but I asked to have mine without the crab. It was really good. Got our food quickly. My friends enjoyed the different rolls they ordered. Will definitely come back again since there are other things in the menu I want to try. It is also reasonably priced.“

“I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place to eat in San Antonio. Located near the airport in a tucked away location, RO-HO Pork & Bread is a hidden gem. This is comfort food at it's finest. Ro-Ho has many great things on the menu, but they are best known for their Torta Ahogada, and it's what I get almost every time. The torta is always hot, the carnitas cooked to perfection, and the tomato salsa is to die for. You can get the torta with straight carnitas or you can mix it up with carnitas, pork stomach and skin, which is what I usually get. The torta also comes with cabbage, onion, radish and lime. No matter how you order it, it's going to be great! The place is super cool, with Mexican artwork and music. There is inside seating and an outside covered patio as well. Everything you can get to drink from the cold case is always ice cold. And they serve one of my favorite Mexican beers, Victoria. Chef Rojo is often around and greets customers. The ladies that work the register and food line are so friendly, and will answer questions if it's your first time. The place fills up quickly at lunch, so keep that in mind. I drive clear across town for my Torta Ahogada fix, if that says anything! Check this place out!“

“On the last night of a recent visit to the area, we decided to try a mom and pop restaurant for dinnerz and I'm glad we stopped at RD's!Didn't expect much, as we had been pretty disappointed with most stuff we had come across, but I'm disappointed we didn't come here sooner!We all got the basic burger meals, and when they got brought to the table, all of our jaws dropped. The patties were absolutely GIGANTIC, the portion of fries was great, and all that for a ridiculously cheap price. It cost me something like <$10 for a giant burger, a ton of fries, and a drink, all delivered pretty damn quick.I found the burger and fries to be pretty tasty (although one party member didn't enjoy it as much), but again, for the price, I'd have been happy with MUCH worse, considering how poor so many recent $15-20 burgers I've had have been. The staff was all super friendly, and as mentioned, the food was done and delivered pretty darn quick.The only negative I had was there seemed to be a slight foul odor in the restaurant. Dunno if they were having some septic issues or maybe a neighbor business was having troubles (or maybe someone clogged a toilet...), but it was noticable to my nose. If we were to have gone back and the odor was still there, I'd definitely have had an issue, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was something out of their control and fixed soon after.“

“My wife and I are here for a reunion. We're staying nearby and love Mediterranean food. Pasha's was near and we dropped by blind. This is the best decision. We came in right after the lunch rush and though the restaurant was still somewhat full we were quickly seated and our drink orders were taken. The drinks were brought along with a very large warm pita and a dish filled olive oil, feta cheese, and, ground oregano (?). I could have made a meal of that alone! My wife order salmon with rice and I order the lamb shank stew. After a short wait, the meals were brought to the table. Please understand, I'm a big man with a huge appetite. The moment I saw my plate, I knew I was going to need a "to-go" box. If you and your significant other love a hearty meal but you don't eat large portions, I recommend ordering one and sharing this!. I trave the world, this is the best lamb shank stew I have ever had! The meat falls off the bone and the flavors explode! The salmon, according to my wife was grilled to perfection. A light crust on the outside and very moist on the inside. During our meal, the owner would visit every table to see how his staff was doing. Our server was outstanding and we showed our appreciation to him. After dinner, we ordered baklava (both pistachio and cashew) to-go. (I took a bite of the pistachio already, it's homemade and quite delicious.) The next time we're back in San Antonio, this will be a mandatory stop. For those who live near here, please put this on one of your places to visit. I promise you, it will not disappoint.“

“My husband and mother in law had never been here so I took them for their first visit. My husband was so impressed he wants us to have a weekly date night here. My MIL had never had cucumber salad or Thai fried rice and enjoyed both very much. The service was excellent as was the food. I don’t know why we waited so long to come back here (I’d been several years ago and enjoyed it) but we will become regulars. I highly recommend the Pad Thai, cucumber salad, summer rolls, and Penny roll! Delish!“

Everything we ordered was on point. My only critique is on our server. A very kind and attentive young lady. She unfortunately lacked knowledge of the menu and certain items that we did not know. Several times she needed to go and ask for help to answer our questions. I appreciate the honesty rather than trying to fake it. I believe service is important to the dining experience. Not sure if our dessert was to be served frozen. Mochi ice cream, sure. Japanese crepe frozen to the point I was afraid I'd break the plate trying to cut it into a bite size piece with the tiny spoon. I will visit again for sure. “A quaint Pizza joint that makes tasty pizza! The crust is cooked perfectly and compliments the sauce and toppings. I had the supreme sans olives and my wife had a Canadian bacon with pineapple. Apparently they do make margarita pizza, but wasn't listed in the store. I saw it online.Note that there's no public restrooms, but there's a gas station right next door if the need arises.It wasn't crowded so there were plenty of seats available inside. However we wanted to enjoy the weather that day.Totally recommend!“

“I visited because Bayseas Catfish House was said to have the best southern fried catfish in San Antonio. The restaurant was empty of customers during my visit. I ordered the fried catfish. It was delicious. And the service I received was Great.“
