“Quaint breakfast restaurant outside San marcos. First time here and it did not disappoint. Girlfriend got huevos divorciados, and I got the hermanos breakfast plate. Food came out fresh and delicious. Homade flour Tortillas and chips and salsa. Had a Concha from their small but delicious bakery case with our coffees.“

“It has been 9 years since we've been back to San Marcos, and was hoping Lucy's food truck was still there by the river. SO happy it was, and her food was just as great or even better, since it had been so long. Wish we could get her to move to Florida. Lol. A must go to, as all the college students know.PS, I always get the chorizo burrito, so spicy and good.“

“Looking for a good breakfast before we left town. Stumbled upon Loli's. Got breakfast burritos with salsa. The bacon was amazing and crispy, just how I like it. I wish they had Mexican coffee, the normal coffee was fine. Service was good and food came out quick.“

“The food was decent. The salsa was good but definitely different. It had something in it that I have tasted before but couldn't figure it out. I was thinking that they used tomato bullion cubes in it but it definitely has a different consistency and color“

“Some friends highly recommended this place to us, and we had a great first experience on our date night at Balcón. Vanessa, our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable. She was able to ask the right questions to provide the perfect suggestions for both drinks and meal. The carne asada taco was delicious, as were the warm chips with guacamole and the churro donut for dessert. The restaurant is located above Otsu Asian Bistro on Stagecoach. Since it was a nice evening, the garage window/doors were open we could look out over the city. There were also heaters around to keep things comfortable as the night cooled off. The music was lively and not too loud so we could still hear each other. We will definitely go back!“

“I've been coming here every Saturday morning with my roommates, and was told by my uncle to visit who started going in 1984, let me tell you I won't stop as long as I go to school here. Best Mexican food in town, the queso is unmatched, wide selection of authentic dishes and they're all to die for! 10/10 recommended“

“It's a little food truck by and Exxon Modile. Service is really nice and will help you figure out what to order if need be. Literally everything is so good, you cannot go wrong at all. The Gringa is more unique to the truck and highly recommend. A bit of out door seating too which is nice!“

“I chose this restaurant establishment based on the low number, but high ratings. My wife and I sped past the entrance to the parking lot, and had to make a sharp turn into it through the exit because of its location on a busy intersection with NO signage!Regardless, it is a true hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant replete with some kind of mechanic shop in the rear, whereas the restaurant itself was converted from a modest, red home. The dining room is clean and situated on multiple levels due to ongoing remodeling, and there was one very friendly server. They took our lunch orders and proceeded to take more than half an hour to serve us our food...when we were famished. In fact, customers who were sat AFTER us were served before us!I was fuming, but the server provided free of charge excellent chips and salsa (normally they are $5. Make of that what you will...), where the chips are true, fresh, fried hard tortillas. When our entrees arrived - they were beautiful.Seriously, the food was 6 stars. My quesadillas were fresh, with a very pleasant and persistent fresh black pepper on the beef.My wife's flautas were amazing, crispy and fresh. Thus, despite the mistake in submitting our orders - every other metric was so stellar I enthusiasticly rate this as 5 stars and would return as this is the best Mexican food I have had in memory...Vegetarian options: Rice, chips and tortillasDietary restrictions: Salt, grease and sugarParking: Rather small, easy to miss and somewhat dangerous to enterKid-friendliness: Sure, let the roam freeWheelchair accessibility: Roll in like a tostada!“

“I’ve tried most of the mexican/tex-mex restaurants in the San Marcos area. I can confidently say that my experience here at El Taco Feliz 2 topped any and all of my experiences at those other restaurants. I had the quesa-birria tacos. They were excellent. The birria melted in my mouth — A strong, beefy flavor. They also have a great hot sauce that is bright and wonderful. I’m pretty sure they make it in house. Do not sleep on this place. I will be returning to try several other things on the menu.“

“Great supermarket. This place has good quality meat. We bought fresh cut meat. Here has a nice variety of different selections of meat doesn’t sell exotic meat but really good place to go get your meat at a great price. Thanks for Servicr and ATX 512 Mobile Mechanic .“

“Tacos were the bomb. Only reason I'm leaving 4 stars is i didn't get all the tacos I had ordered. Was missing 3 tacos. Too far to go back and tell them. But will definitely come back again and I'll be sure to check my bag before leaving again.“

“We came here on 04.06.24 for a quick lunch, driven here by Yelp reviews. The ambiance spoke of authenticity and what probably was going to be one hell of a meal. We were seated promptly and tended to with a lot of attention. We each had the cheese enchilada plate along with some grilled jalapeños. The enchiladas were delicious although the cheese was very Tex-Mex. I don't know even know if it was cheddar or American, but the flavor was good and the texture of the enchiladas was solid. The beans were excellent and reminded me of a good homemade meal. The rice wasn't bad although it was a bit tomatoey. But that is one way of making it - it just wasn't to my taste. Overall, though for a great meal at a very reasonable price, this is the spot.“

“This is a little local Mexican restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. It’s got homemade flour and corn tortillas as well as Gordita’s. Delicious food, with the right “sazon.” I had the migas, which came with beans and potatoes and two tortillas. I’m from the Rio Grande Valley and this food reminded me of home. We will be back!“

“This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back. Very cozy, great community feel and my migas was perfect too. Really good food for a great price. My husband and I were both stuffed on a 20 dollar tab. Can't beat that!“

“A great family run restaurant. My wife got the migas and tortilla soup and they both were fantastic. I got the mole chicken enchiladas and they were also wonderful. My son got the carne quisada plate and he loved it. Service was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back whenever we are in the area.“

“Tacos were amazing and honestly exceeded my expectations. The horchata was good but I think the ice made it taste a bit off so I chucked the ice and yes the horchata was also very delicious minus the ice . Id recommend for some nice tacos although it is kinda pricey $4/a taco. On 8 tacos and one horchata my partner and I spent $36, but was well spent as the tacos seemed nicely filled w meat. Will definitely be back to try more menu options. (1,000% better than Chuy’s “Mexican restaurant” come here not there for good AUTHENTIC MEXICAN food)“

“This restaurant is very beautifully decorated inside. The patio is really nice and cozy facing the main street, so you get to see the traffic as you sit and enjoy some very delicious and refreshing margaritas. The staff is fast and friendly! Our waitress was super wonderful! She was very polite and offered some great suggestions. Our food was brought out promptly and was so good. We ordered the fajitas for two. We will be going back for sure!“

“Ordered online and went through the drive thru to pick up. Gal at the window was super sweet and energetic, which was nice. 1st time eating here and definitely won't be my last. Taco was large loaded and full of flavor. Great deal for the price. Both salsas were fresh and flavorful, and that queso blanco? I'm pretty sure this was the I-chee-wawa... deff recommend.“

“This out favorite place for breakfast. We love their breakfast tacos, gorditas, and breakfast plates. The best-kept secret is their pancakes. They are great! We have not found any other places in town that serve fluffy delicious pancakes. Alicia and Sylvia are out favorite servers but everyone is very efficient.“

“It doesn't look like much of a place BUT the lady there was very nice and she was consistently busy with customers. I ordered 2 picadillo tacos, a chicken fajita taco, and chicken quesadillas. Everything was very very delicious. The salsa was super spicy but I liked it. The only complaint I have is that it was all a little greasy. Don't get me wrong, I love a little bit of greasy but it wasn't something that you could easily eat in the car. Otherwise, this place is great.“
