Host was a super nice man, I could tell he was very busy but was still friendly with us. Our server was also really sweet and accommodated us well. The food was absolutely fantastic. My husband says it’s the best chef salad that he’s ever had, and my food was very delicious too. I got the french toast breakfast and the serving sizes were perfect. The owners came over and chatted with us for a little bit and was playing around with our toddler who loved all the attention. Everyone was all around super nice, so lovely and made us all feel really comfortable! Already recommending this place to family and friends, will 100% come eat here again!”

And the non dairy vanilla still has the creamy flavor of dairy ice cream. For a large, medium and two smalls it was about $21 pre tip.I do wish you could see the ice creams(I’m big on seeing them haha) and possible trying them, I’m not sure if it was an option to taste them. The people working seemed to be in haste to get your order, fast service which is great but a bit rushed and left me flustered since it was my first time. Next time I’ll look ahead at the menu and check! The ice cream is worth it though!Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free options other than sorbet!”

“Everything was great about Kraus’. Husband and I were in the area for our dog’s vet appt and needed lunch when she was done. Found this dog-friendly, beer having spot! The reuben wasn’t anything special, but it was yummy. Dressing served on the side. German potato salad has mustard and vinegar which leads to a very acidic flavor profile that wasn’t my cup of tea. Husband got the venison burger and ate it right up. Wish we’d live closer and we’d probably become regulars.”

Flaky chips salted just right and a hot (temperature) chipotle smokey salsa with just right amount of spice. Had the waygu beef & chicken fajitas. The beef was marinated so well, tender and perfectly cooked. Flour & white corn tortillas- both pillowy soft. It came with Ancho butter. This stuff is amazing. Very clean place including the rest rooms. Overall a great place. Prices are a little higher than the typical, but the food is better, so I don’t mind that. Been to so many Mexican restaurants in San Antonio over the last decade, this one is one of the top level ones. We’ll be back! They are doing things right.”

The lettuce was nice and cold and the large pieces of Parmigiano cheese were nice. Their pizza crust was nice and soft, not hard or crusty. It has a great flavor. I love that the tomato sauce is not spicy.”

“I’ve been to this place about 2 times now with my colleague for lunch. This place is seriously underrated! I’ve had their gorditas and carne asada quesadilla. Both dishes were awesome!It’s a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for their quality and customer service. You can tell they love to serve their customers and their food always reminds me of my family’s hometown (Piedras Negras). Highly recommend everyone to swing by.”

“We come to this Whataburger all the time because it’s a family favorite for sure. I was getting lunch for my 2yr old and myself today when I realized my partner had my debit card. While in line I tried loading Apple Pay, loading the Whataburger app to add funds, anything I could to not keep the line waiting. But my phone service was running too slow and wouldn’t get far enough in any app. So I asked the cashier Will if I could just get the kids meal because I had just enough cash for that. Will got his manager Jamie explaining the situation and without me asking, paid for the remaining balance of my food and told me both mom and baby should be able to eat. After a rough start to our morning this was just the nicest thing. Thank you so much Will and Jamie!!”

“Driving IH35 from New Braunfels to San Antonio, I stopped at McDonald's for 'on-the-road' food. I have my favorites set up in the McDonald's app. My usual order includes 1/2 lemonade with tea. I was disappointed that this McDonald's didn't offer that favorite. No lemonade. Now I'm worried that they think it's a summertime drink and maybe are removing it from the menu. Bummer. Here in South Texas, it's pretty much summertime All the time.”

“We visited Lupe’s tortilla this evening for a late dinner and we’re not disappointed! We chose to get a small chips and queso with salsa for an appetizer , the fajita trio for 2 and add bacon wrapped shrimp! All was delicious! The flavor was great! The atmosphere was amazing, the seating was so spacious! It was nice to not be able to extend my hand and touch another table or hear other peoples conversations! We had a few margaritas, blue one was a little strong for me but still good! Price wasn’t bad either $118 and change before tip for all that food along with the amazing service! Definitely will be back!!”
“Tre and Angel are amazing hosts. I brought a group from work and it could not have gone better. Hosts are extremely knowledgeable about wine, we just told them what we liked and they consistently gave us wine that matched. They also recommended some different ones we haven't tried. Good food to. Highly recommend. You should definitely ask for recommendations on new wine too!”

The only thing I can not stand is the amount of chlorine in New Brunfels water; bottled soda or water would be a nice option to have for those who don't like the taste of water in town. “Locally owned BBQ place, with amazing flavor! The staff there were great, and very friendly. My wife ordered the sampler plate. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Everything was delicious! The ribs are fall off the bone tender! I ordered the turkey sandwich and a sausage roll. The turkey was fantastic! Their corn, and the mac and cheese was also good. I’ve got to say, out of all of this goodness, the star of the show that tied it all together was their mango habanero BBQ sauce!! Dynamite!!!! Thank you for a great dining experience! It was a nice balance of veggies with cheese to add a little richness.The chicken pesto sandwich I had on my first visit was equally delicious. I was suspicious of avocado, mayonnaise and pesto but it was wonderful,The kitchen is open do you can see your dish prepared. It’s very clean and the staff is contentious with the preparation. Support the local homemade non chain BBQ that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.Owners are very nice people and take care of there customers. I'd pick these fellas over Cooper's, Franklin's, Mueller's, or Rudy's any day of the week. Head out to there place. Bring some beer and eat some BBQ.”

“This place is awesome. I’m from Houston and have yet to have anything comparable to the mexican food/ breakfast tacos and burritos back home, this place was it. I had an amazing breakfast burrito that I called in and was ready in 10 minutes, and their other food looks amazing as well. “We've been once before when they first opened and it was great! Returned this year for the Christmas pop-up and cocktail event on Xmas Eve -- had a blast! They welcome all customers and are very accommodating to requests. No food served here (heard a guy come in and ask the owner) but The Gruene Door is next door and Kora Kora coffee. We will be back - excited to check out the Halloween pop-up next year! Oh and we just won the holiday (free) raffle! Yay!”

You walk in the door and are greeted with the butcher, he's got an assortment of meats laid out, you tell him how much you want, he slaps it on a tray and hands it off to the next guy. That guy proceeds to slice up what you got and put it in butcher paper on a tray. Head down the line and pick out cole slaw, potato salad, garden salad (cold selections), next another guy dishes out your choice of warm selections, macaroni and cheese, cobblers. Beans are around the corner and are complimentary as are pickles, jalapenos, onions and sliced bread. We got 4 pork ribs, 2 thick slices of Turkey and brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, peach cobbler, 2 small drinks and small vanilla ice cream. $80! It was delicious and brought home enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow! No plates, you get a piece of paper to put stuff on, sit at long community picnic tables. Try it, you'll like it!”

Makes me not want to support honestly, actually, I just removed a star from my initial 5 stars. I haven't been here in years because I found that little info out. I also tried the chili (which was bean free). It was good, but could have used some toppings (onion, cheese). I love that they have Diet Dr Pepper and are nice enough to come around to offer refills. The reuben wasn’t anything special, but it was yummy. Dressing served on the side. German potato salad has mustard and vinegar which leads to a very acidic flavor profile that wasn’t my cup of tea. Husband got the venison burger and ate it right up. Wish we’d live closer and we’d probably become regulars.”

“Being a tourist for a day in New Braunfels, our first stop was one of the oldest bakeries in Texas... Nargelin's! We were able to park right up front, walked in, and our eyes were immediately drawn to all the scrumptious goodies behind the display counters on the left and the packaged goodies on shelves towards the right). We waited in a small line ( I understand it can get pretty busy), and mentally made a list of what we wanted to order. What made Naegelin famous is their apple strudel, so no doubt we ordered it...in addition to their sausage kolache, bear claw, and strawberry kolache. Absolutely loved the apple strudel! Fresh chunks of apples, a bit of cherry for color, and a hint of coconut. These small additions made this strudel stand out from the usual run of the mill. The bear claw was not my fave and not what I had envisioned. Presentation and taste was more along the lines of a pop tart. Besides apple strudels, they sell a variety of breads, doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, pies, macaroons, and kolaches. Service was quick, and the ladies behind the counter were sweet.”
