“We had the best experience this weekend at Bonnell’s. Long story short we don’t go out to eat because my son has a lot of food allergies and it’s not easy to accommodate them. However it was his 13th birthday so we really wanted to celebrate. The chef worked with me prior to coming in and made sure my kiddo was able to have a wonderful and safe meal to celebrate a huge milestone. All of the staff were sweet and thoughtful as well. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm. I’m happy to forever brag on this restaurant!“

Three dishes stood out - Maine diver scallops (cooked perfect with a light sear), the bacon wrapped onions (tasty and different) and then the butterscotch pudding (absolutely decadent). Growing up in Philadelphia, PA… I was very disappointed in their cheese steaks!!! They need more meat! We definitely wouldn’t recommend those! Stick with their burgers!!!“

“Met a friend here for lunch. Had to ask to be moved to a different table because there was FREEZING cold air blowing hard on our table. Our server was fine, but I had the smoked chicken salad- I asked if there were any onions and she said no. The salad was covered in so many onions I could not pick them all out, this really ruined my lunch.“

“The best dining experience my wife and I have ever had was at Lonesome Dove 13 years ago. We were hosting some guests from the West Coast in our home over the previous week, and they insisted on taking us out their last day in town. We had told them about Lonesome Dove, and they said that's where they wanted to take us. We cautioned them on the price point, but they were anxious for the experience, eager to thank us for the hosting, and not concerned about the cost; so we made Sunday evening reservations and headed to the Stockyards. Everyone had something different from the Wild Game Fettine, so it was a great sharing experience as a launch point. No disappointments here! The First Course had highs and lows. The Deviled Gulf Coast Blue Crabs and Wild Boar Ribs were the highlight, while the Rabbit Ragu Gnochi was described as "sturdy" (think REALLY al dente) by one of our guests and the Kangaroo Carpaccio Nachos were underwhelming as a cold dish. Most of us had the Bowl of Texas Red chili in the Second Course, and everyone added salt to it. The Main Course lived up to expectations. Three of us had the 9 oz Beef Tenderloin and LOVED it. My wife RAVED about the Diver Scallops, and even game me a little taste. The presentation, temperature and overall experience were what we had hoped for. I had the Warm Ancho Chile Chocolate Cake for desert, and that was also over the top awesome. So much so, in fact, that the rest of the table kept dipping into my dessert! One of our guests speaks with animated hand gestures, and spilled his drink. The staff was unoffended and courteous, but they left the drink mess on the floor, and our other guest wound up cleaning it up. Now, I'm the first guy to clean up my own messes; but, at this price point, I don't think it's too much to expect some quick clean-up service after an accident. Noise was moderate, so that we could have a conversation easily. The ambiance was nice, except for an occasional blast of light through the open door.“

“This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. The manager greets you with a huge smile on his face and is so welcoming and gracious, like a ray of sunshine. Our waiter (Jordan) was perfect- knowledgeable about the food, friendly and constantly checked on us. Water continuously refilled and the food was so delicious. Drinks were wonderful too! The Farmhouse Hash Skillet was very tasty, the pancakes tasted as fluffy as a sponge cake and the multi grain bread was soft and fresh. Service was on point the coffee was great. “Branch and Bird is a very nice spot. The ambiance, music, and service was good. I brought my mother and daughter here for brunch on Mothers day. They enjoyed it. The steak was very fatty and my daughter couldn't eat it. They did not get upset, they immediately brought her a blueberry waffle and she enjoyed it. The crab cake benedict was delicious.“

“We dined here for the first time before a concert at Dickie's arena and thought it was one of the very best meals we have ever had. The hospitality was on point from the moment we arrived. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. Because we knew we were going to indulge in dessert, we didn't order starters, but fully enjoyed the complimentary basket of fresh-baked muffins and bread. I decided on the carne asada with enchiladas for dinner and my husband couldn't resist ordering the chicken fried steak. Bring your appetite, because the portion sizes are huge! The food is absolutely delicious! Ordering from the dessert tray wasn't easy because everything looked amazing and our server's descriptions made our mouth's water. “Went in for our first time on Sunday 4/21 for brunch. Added our family to the waitlist online which was game changer. We were seated promptly about 15 minutes upon arrival. The host was very sweet, she had short, dark hair but I can’t remember her name. The atmosphere was really cool, and our server, Molly was the best! Our food was delicious, the wait was a little longer but that’s expected with how busy they were. The host sent over a strawberry shortcake pancake on the house which was so kind and made our day. Everything was absolutely delicious! The mimosas were great, and overall we just had such a wonderful experience. Our new family favorite brunch spot!“

“My family took me tonight for Mother’s Day celebration. The food was fantastic. The stuffed mushrooms and goat cheese appetizers were amazing. The chicken fried steak was so good. I see why it was voted best in FW. Margaritas were quite good. The server we had was not good. We were there 16 minutes and had to flag someone down. Then he was one of the worst servers I have had. He finally brought our drinks and took our order but we had to flag someone for refills or anything else we needed. He didn’t check on us until a while after we finished eating. I understand being busy but he didn’t seem to care. I have to say food was worth it though.“

“Just left and will never go back. Ordered a burger and didn’t realize until I had eaten several bites that a large portion in the middle was totally raw. Not just undercooked a little - totally raw. I chose to not send it back as I had consumed some of it but saved it to show the waitress. When she told the manager, the manager blamed her ( the waitress). I then spoke to the manager and she would not listen and kept insisting it was the waitress who was responsible. She talked right over me, and was downright nasty.She admitted she didn’t bother to look at the burger. No customer service skills whatsoever. I was not asking for anything just explaining it was not the waitress’ fault that the kitchen didn’t cook the burger. The waitress was very concerned and apologized. She did an excellent job of customer service.“

“If you are looking for a retro diner with checkered floors and waitresses who call you “baby”, then this the place! On a Sunday, I didn’t have to wait long for a table for two and once we ordered the food came out hot and fast. The Texas shaped waffles are such a classic, I loved it. The scrambled eggs were okay, the bacon was crispy, but the hash browns (not pictured) were not crispy, and that’s okay! Still a good classic breakfast, I can’t complain.“
