“I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place before. We can in for dinner past 8pm and it was still packed! We didn’t have to wait long for a table, just got seated within minutes of walking in. We ordered pho, vermicelli bowl and a banh mi. The broth was very very good, noodles had a slippery texture and meat seemed fresh! Not too crazy about the banh mi but the pho and vermicelli bowl made up for it. Service was awesome, food came out quick. Will definitely recommend this place and come back to try more items on their menu.“
“Some good old friend chicken. Not too oily and tastes great; plain. Just make sure you call in and place your order since its made on request. No special sauces, just ketchup and hot sauce; simple. The tables are located in the middle of the gas station so beware if you choose to sit inside and eat.“
“Takara Sushi Restaurant in Sugar Land left me thoroughly impressed. The sushi boat display was not just visually stunning but also showcased incredibly fresh selections. Using blue fin tuna for all their tuna sashimis elevated the dining experience. Every step of the way felt upscale, from the delightful coconut shrimp to the tender Wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone – the aroma was captivating. Takara has truly mastered the art of delivering a delightful and exquisite dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“Food was AMAZING. Japanese salted egg pumpkins were a bit undercooked but good otherwise the food was stellar!! The owner is the nicest man. That being said I wish I could give them ten stars, but the service is absolutely awful. When I came in I was ignored. When I finally waved down an employee to help me be seated because we had a reservation they cut me off mid sentence when an elderly Asian lady walked in. They went right over to her ignored me and promptly sat her walk in party of 12. When I waved the employee down once more once he went back to doing nothing he just said "oh see you have a table now go sit go sit." Once he realized that I was not in fact with the lady that walked in after me he got angry and frustrated and started arguing that he had already helped me despite me CLEARLY not being seated I finally walked out. When my older uncle finally showed up he tripped over himself to seat us. I'm not sure if there is an age limit to eat here but I'd think being 30 would hit it. It was either that or the fact that everyone else that came in could speak Chinese and I could not. Also they do this thing where everytime someone ordered the house special duck a bell is rang and they shut off all the lights in the restaurant to be punch black so you can see the duck being lit on fire. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just dim the lights because s the most popular item the lights went pitch black while people were eating every five minutes, and that was horribly annoying. It's delicious but the smokey smell and the fire are gimmicky at best. The fire is still clearly visible please stop this. When your entire restaurant groans everytime a bell is rang its because we all hate it.“
“I have tried 4 different dishes here and this is the first place I've been to that all the food I tried was very good! Well cooked, not salty and very pleasant to eat, almost addicting. They balance the flavors of each dish in the traditional way. Very happy to have found this Gem of a restaurant!“
“An Asian-Latin fusion restaurant? Yeah, I definitely had to try out San Eatery, and I'm glad that I did. You order at the counter, and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food will be ready, and I really like it when restaurants do this! Now here is what I got:♡ Ribs BBQ (Costillas). 9/10Wow, this was SO good. I was craving some Chinese BBQ, and this definitely satisfied my craving. Some of the pieces of meat were a little hard to chew, but I didn't mind because the sweet-savory sauce was very yummy, and there was a good amount of it. I had the ribs with the mofongo!♡ Mofongo. 6/10This is my first time trying Mofongo, and I have to say that this reminds me of mashed potatoes, but the texture is a little on the drier side. I think this is just OK, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Maybe fried rice would've been better with my bbq ribs.♡ Tostones con ajo. 7/10First time trying fried plantains, and wow, the garlic definitely elevated it. I'm assuming the sauce that came with it is spicy mayo, but I think it paired nicely with the tostones. I do wish the garlic was spread out more evenly between the tostones, but that's okay. It's still good!。 ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ 。FINAL VERDICT:I'd definitely come here again. There are other things on the menu that I'd love to try, like the other platter options and fried rice. Also, the portion sizes are huge, which is good to stretch out for another day or two! It's probably best to not eat the food in one sitting anyways cos the food is a little heavy/rich.“
“The presentation of my ramen was a 100/10. The service was amazing, the ramen was delicious, and the professionalism of the woman working was warm, friendly, and kind. This level of service reminds me of how things used to be, before covid ruined the service industry as we knew it. 110% will support this business as long as I’m in this area, as well as recommend it to everyone I know.“
“I really like this place. They had a change in the menu, but the food feels like it's prepared with better ingredients, an extra level of flavor. The service has changed a lot, the waiters enjoy serving you. It used to be very different, but on my visit, they really impressed me. Plus, they give you the check with a cotton candy panda! The place has improved a lot“
“Every time I come here the food is consistently delicious. I’ve been to all kinds of sushi places in the city and this place is my favorite. The Kung Fu Panda roll and the Best friend roll are some of my favorites! Service is quick and polite every time!“
“Delicious meal options! The tempura is perfect, the watermelon boba slushie is top notch, and the ramen broth is slurp worthy!Parking: We were able to park right in front of the door.Kid-friendliness: Comfortable environment for kids to enjoy too.“
“We ordered takeout. Non pretentious and un assuming joint with excellent food. We frequent Chinatown for “authentic” recipes and this restaurant matches the quality. Tofu Lo-mein was “toddler” approved. They were accommodating and prepared food the way we wanted, not compromising on taste. We are going to be loyal patrons for a long time. I just know it!“
“KING WOK DONT CHANGE DONT CHANGE. MANY TIMES PEOPLE GO TO A PLACE THEN WHEN THEY RETURN THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGES. I ORDERED CHICKEN FRIED RICE SHRIMP FRIED RICE AND HOUSE LO MEIN. ALL WAS EXCELLENT MY FIRST TIME RATING HERE. I USE TO EAT AT TIMMY CHANS RIGHT IN FEONT OF GOU BUT NO MORE. THEY CHARGE $3 MORE FOR THE SAME FRIED RICE“
“After work hour hangout spot trying for first time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious food items, plenty of televisions to watch the game, and karaoke. Great times and have wonderful memories with them people I was with. Definitely will be back !!!“
“Updated review:Changed from 1 star to 4 stars. The restaurant was very responsive to this review and I truly appreciate the offer of full refund and further discounts to make things right. I understand a business has to make money and things happen sometimes. I most likely won't collect on the offer on the refund but just hope the quality of the food will be improved.Original review: Just bought 5 lbs of crawfish to go since i saw the sign saying crawfish available today for 10 dollars a lb. I asked twice if it's live and didn't get an answer but it's during crawfish season and i got it for 8.99 for live ones at another restaurant last week so i figured they should be live since it's more expensive at this one. When we got home to eat, the crawfishs were definitely precooked frozen and not live ones. Our family each ate a couple hoping they were just a few bad ones but the we all just stopped after about 3 each and tossed the rest. One of us almost threw up from the poor quality of the crawfish. Even for frozen standard, they were the low quality ones. Been to this restaurant a few times before but definitely NOT coming back. Felt like I've been scammed, but to be fair the lady never answered my question about it being live or not.“
“Food - ***** TeoChew Satay was incredible. Ended up getting an extra once to go. Dish seemed very authentic and full of flavor. Mongolian beef banh mi is definitely worth trying. Service - ***** like Kind, helpful, & efficient. Owner was gracious enough to explain the different dishes and made fantastic recommendations. Ambiance - ***** Street kitchen feel. It's a tiny place. Place felt authentic. I shall be back!“
