“We ordered takeout. Non pretentious and un assuming joint with excellent food. We frequent Chinatown for “authentic” recipes and this restaurant matches the quality. Tofu Lo-mein was “toddler” approved. They were accommodating and prepared food the way we wanted, not compromising on taste. We are going to be loyal patrons for a long time. I just know it!“
“i really like this place. great food, lunch deals, and friendly service. easy parking. not too loud. ive been coming here more than 20+ times and most of the time it's been pleasant.during lunch hours, there are a lot of servers and even tho it's busy, i can easily flag down one of them and they are all attentive. so i have no issues and the experience always had been positive. they check on me and make sure everything is good and all that.sadly im evening time, it's not the same. i've came a few times for dinner and the male host is kinda rude. and with them being short staffed, the service is slow. and they get my order wrong at times. it's quite frustrating.i come alone all the time and i might be younger than all the crowd they have, i feel like the respect should be there. at the end of the day im also a paying customer here so they should treat me the same way they do with older people here.food ive gotten here so far:- general tso- wonton soup- egg roll- shrimp spring roll- sweet potato tempura- sorbet- california roll- caterpillar roll- salmon sashimi- yellowtail sashimi- tunaall of them are very delicious!“
“Food - ***** TeoChew Satay was incredible. Ended up getting an extra once to go. Dish seemed very authentic and full of flavor. Mongolian beef banh mi is definitely worth trying. Service - ***** like Kind, helpful, & efficient. Owner was gracious enough to explain the different dishes and made fantastic recommendations. Ambiance - ***** Street kitchen feel. It's a tiny place. Place felt authentic. I shall be back!“
“Was by the mall and stopped here for lunch last Saturday 1:30pm. Talk about busy like I was at Pho Dien. Pho chin gau gan and banh mi chu lua was spot on. The got nhuc beo but didn’t need to add to my broth.Definitely thought I was eating on Bellaire. My go to spot if I’m in the sugar land area.“
“I really like this place. They had a change in the menu, but the food feels like it's prepared with better ingredients, an extra level of flavor. The service has changed a lot, the waiters enjoy serving you. It used to be very different, but on my visit, they really impressed me. Plus, they give you the check with a cotton candy panda! The place has improved a lot“
“So after visiting this place more than ten times and I tried most of the menu.I can definitely recommend this place and guarantee that the food is really tasty and original. If you're looking for something special and a little different. This is the right place because it will be tasty for sure!Very good for lunch very good for dinner.I think it's really special fusion and very special kitchen!I don't know how but it's clever and simple at the same time which is amazing!Thank you so much.“
“We had ordered Pad see Ew, pad woon sen and the fried tilapia. I thought the food was pretty good although the Pad see ew and pad woon sen tasted very similar with a slight difference in the ingredients in it. The tilapia was not what I had expected so that was so so. Service was great and they had come check on us often. But one thing to watch out for is when you get the signature sign, to make sure that the tip is not prefilled. They said that the machine accidentally did so at times. ?♀️“
“This place is always fresh and fast. They give large portions. I particularly like that since I appreciate leftovers. I ordered a vegetarian bowl and it came with so many options! I decided not to get corn in mine, but it has seaweed, edamame, greens.... you name it. Lots of fresh ingredients. I also ordered the crab salad. It came with some fish eggs on top (I might not do that the next time), but it was absolutely delicious and fresh as well.I got the Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) to test and they didn't disappoint. If you like flavor, these boneless nuggets of juiciness hits the spot. They are in the Uber eats app, but the restaurant is super cute and comfy if you're looking for a new place to try“
“Delicious pretty authentic dishes for a very reasonable price. The lunch specials were such a deal, coming with your choice of soup, rice, egg roll or spring rolls, and a very hefty entree! We had the eggplant and garlic sauce and the green beans, which were both pretty authentic (I lived in China for a few months and definitely reminded me of the food there.)“
“KING WOK DONT CHANGE DONT CHANGE. MANY TIMES PEOPLE GO TO A PLACE THEN WHEN THEY RETURN THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGES. I ORDERED CHICKEN FRIED RICE SHRIMP FRIED RICE AND HOUSE LO MEIN. ALL WAS EXCELLENT MY FIRST TIME RATING HERE. I USE TO EAT AT TIMMY CHANS RIGHT IN FEONT OF GOU BUT NO MORE. THEY CHARGE $3 MORE FOR THE SAME FRIED RICE“
“Takara Sushi Restaurant in Sugar Land left me thoroughly impressed. The sushi boat display was not just visually stunning but also showcased incredibly fresh selections. Using blue fin tuna for all their tuna sashimis elevated the dining experience. Every step of the way felt upscale, from the delightful coconut shrimp to the tender Wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone – the aroma was captivating. Takara has truly mastered the art of delivering a delightful and exquisite dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“After work hour hangout spot trying for first time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious food items, plenty of televisions to watch the game, and karaoke. Great times and have wonderful memories with them people I was with. Definitely will be back !!!“
“Love this place. My go to order is chicken and chive dumplings. When my family comes into town they ask to come to dumpling king for dinner. They order from the mapo tofu, shrimp fired rice and the garlic chicken. The service lol! I get a laugh every time i come here.“
“We had a great hibachi experience today. My son has an egg allergy and they were so mindful of that during food prep. They prepared the hibachi meats n veggies before the rice so there was no issues of cross contamination. The chef even skipped me during the rice throw fun because of the allergy, which I wasn't even thinking on. I hope to visit again on try the sushi and drinks. Great hostesses, waitstaff, and chefs.Dietary restrictions: Accommodating of egg allergy“
“They have the best samosas! I ordered the vegetable samosas and it came with 3 and 2 dipping sauces which both were so good! I also ordered the chicken vindaloo (spicy) and the heat is tolerable. The spices in it are so warming to the soul. And the Nan bread was very soft and buttery. I highly recommend this place!“
“Consistently good food. We come here regularly. Their soup if the day is usually excellent, always at least very good. My wife loves their green curry. I like their tofu and eggplant dish, medium spiciness. They have ask the classic Thai dishes and I've enjoyed what we've tried.“
“Some good old friend chicken. Not too oily and tastes great; plain. Just make sure you call in and place your order since its made on request. No special sauces, just ketchup and hot sauce; simple. The tables are located in the middle of the gas station so beware if you choose to sit inside and eat.“
“The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have lots of shoes and never rush customers. They work to please. And SAS makes great, comfortable and long lasting shoes. The parking lot is a little scary with persons with multiple backpacks and or bags milling around rather aimlessly. I would not go after dark.“
“Food was AMAZING. Japanese salted egg pumpkins were a bit undercooked but good otherwise the food was stellar!! The owner is the nicest man. That being said I wish I could give them ten stars, but the service is absolutely awful. When I came in I was ignored. When I finally waved down an employee to help me be seated because we had a reservation they cut me off mid sentence when an elderly Asian lady walked in. They went right over to her ignored me and promptly sat her walk in party of 12. When I waved the employee down once more once he went back to doing nothing he just said "oh see you have a table now go sit go sit." Once he realized that I was not in fact with the lady that walked in after me he got angry and frustrated and started arguing that he had already helped me despite me CLEARLY not being seated I finally walked out. When my older uncle finally showed up he tripped over himself to seat us. I'm not sure if there is an age limit to eat here but I'd think being 30 would hit it. It was either that or the fact that everyone else that came in could speak Chinese and I could not. Also they do this thing where everytime someone ordered the house special duck a bell is rang and they shut off all the lights in the restaurant to be punch black so you can see the duck being lit on fire. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just dim the lights because s the most popular item the lights went pitch black while people were eating every five minutes, and that was horribly annoying. It's delicious but the smokey smell and the fire are gimmicky at best. The fire is still clearly visible please stop this. When your entire restaurant groans everytime a bell is rang its because we all hate it.“
“I would call this please Viet/Chinese fusion. Food is not authentic Chinese - this the advertising is a bit misleading.Steamed Half chicken (warm) was pretty good. Braised beef stew was ok - the beef could have been softer. The crowd is very diverse - which is not a bad thing at all, but gives you a good impression of the food/flavor without going there. I would still go again to try their seafood as it seems to be fresh. Just wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for authentic Chinese place.“
“The lunch buffet is really delicious and authentic. The owner, the manager and the entire Team personally check with each Table and make certain you have a great experience. We especially loved the weekend buffet, just wished we'd skipped breakfast so we could have done more justice to our stomach for the awesome spread they had. We are definitely going back, and would recommend this to any vegetarian Indian food lover.“
“The presentation of my ramen was a 100/10. The service was amazing, the ramen was delicious, and the professionalism of the woman working was warm, friendly, and kind. This level of service reminds me of how things used to be, before covid ruined the service industry as we knew it. 110% will support this business as long as I’m in this area, as well as recommend it to everyone I know.“
