“This was an experience both with the atmosphere and food! The ambience is superb and the food is outstanding! The portions are generous. I chose the three course meal option which is why the price was a bit higher than if I chose just one option. Choosing this option allowed me to have a starter, entree, and dessert. I definitely could have shared as the portions were large. I highly recommend giving Rise a try. You can even purchase bread boards, books, and cloth napkins (which are the size of dish towels). It is an experience worth venturing out for.”

“On July 12 my grandmother and I went to lunch at Top Sushi when a huge storm came in. The manager who has always been so friendly, welcoming, and kind was there and went to every table offering to walk each customer to their car with his personal umbrella. While I went to grab the car he stayed with my grandmother, held her things, and made sure she got in the car dry while he got hit by the rain. He also showed such concern to me making sure I wasn’t driving far and told me we were more than welcome to stay at the restaurant until the storm is over. I was so moved by his gracious acts and being a genuinely great person. You don’t see that anymore and I am so appreciative of him. I did not get his name but I want him to know how much that moved my grandmother and I. Thank you!!”

“Let me tell yall something, I LOVE Boudin Sausage and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Mega Meltz has some great quality Boudin and when they made a Boudin Grilled Cheese with fresh sliced jalapeños, I wanted to shout about it from the rooftops. I found my new comfort food treat and can’t wait to go back and try several other things!! We also grabbed a kids fish basket and let me tell you, that fish was perfectly fresh, tender and the cornmeal breading was seasoned to perfection!!”

I love the ambiance of the place the fact that it's small and cozy and the menu appealed it to me but if the execution, service and availability is not there then what fronted out as an excellent experience leaves a bad taste on the end. I really hope to read that things have turned around since your last reviews. “Cafe Maresse went through an ownership change. The original owner sold to the old general manager, and it’s now been rebranded to Fika. Almost all of the drink menu has stayed the same. Many of the food offering have changed and/or been replaced or removed though.

Honey bee latte is always yummy here. It’s made with lavender and honey syrup, and comes with oat milk by default, which is nice since we do not have to pay an up charge for the alternative milk for once lol.

Great place to study or wfh, they have free WiFi, calm and inviting atmosphere, comfortable environment, spacious interior, earthy/rustic vibes and decor, with plenty of well spaced seating.

They also have vegetarian and halal friendly options for food and drinks on their menu incase you have dietary restrictions/preferences.

Free parking available in the shared parking lot. Kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. They also have good amount of outdoor seating on their patio. Noise level is quiet to moderate in the morning, can get a bit louder in the afternoon but still manageable.

Definitely recommend stopping by this place and trying their lattes. Great place to get some work done or catch up with friends.”

“The food is good here and the portions are huge. The pluses are that the ingredients are very fresh and the food is flavorful. I loved the complementary Tom Yum soup. We both had chicken dishes and while the sauces and vegetables were great, the chicken was rather ho-hum, like it was cooked in a big batch plain, and then added to the dish rather than being cooked in the dish. I could be wrong, though. I'll get shrimp next time. The kitchen forgot to put the cashews in the cashew chicken but that was made right as soon as we pointed it out.

I got the shrimp glass noodle salad on the side, knowing I would take some home, and wow, it was a LOT. They hid the shrimp, as you'll note in the picture, and there were way too many noodles, but there were loads of shrimp, perhaps 10, and they were large. The last picture is the salad I plated out of the leftovers, with way less noodles.The eggroll at the beginning was a nice surprise, and its sauce was delicious, but I wish the sauce had been on the side because it got a little soggy. This is a minor detail, though. The sauce was so good that I poured it over my glass noodles salad.

I think our server was new and there are always a few hiccups, but they were caring. One of the more senior staff members noticed that I wasn't eating much of the glass noodles / shrimp salad and was concerned that I might not like it. I reassured her that it was just that I was gettin full and I ordered it to have a take-home for lunch the next day.

For about 12 or 13 dollars you get a good sandwich, a side dish, a drink, and a cookie. It’s a perfect size lunch that’s been well-prepared using fresh ingredients. I want to liken the menu to a jazz tune, with a central theme but variation throughout the execution. Simple, yet classic.”

As a creature of habit, I most often have a pastry and black coffee so nothing too exotic but it is delicious every time and every now and then, like today, I earn a free one through their rewards program. Fresh made bread is also delicious as a take home item. Nice quiet areas to work along with open areas for socializing so it has something for all visitors, including a covered outdoor seating area. Plenty of seating that is so often scarce in other coffee shops. The live houseplants bring the outside feeling indoors.”

Not only that, but for the last few years this is where we have gotten both our kid’s birthday cakes.
