Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.”

“Capo is my favorite hoagie place in the DMV and bonus that this location has fries. I looove their seeded rolls that are perfectly soft with a crisp crust. They slice their meats on site which is nice, so I can ask them to slice extra thin like I prefer. Their eggplant parm is great too, thin crisp slices. Staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful.”

“I pulled in on a whim, after one of my nearby deliveries, I was happy that the parking lot could accommodate the big old truck I was driving, but just barely lol. It's conveniently located near one of my favorite theaters, and Andy's Pizza is the perfect spot to meet up with friends before or after a screening to grab a bite to eat and a good drink (Atlas Brewery being part of the same space is a cool touch, and I've had a couple of good brewskis too). Great service, delicious pizza. I love a thin crust and getting a single slice or two served up on a classic white paper plate really hits the spot when you want some 'za. Happy to have a casual, fun spot in the Eisenhower neighborhood. Special shoutout to Marcos, who was a great server and got me extra Parmesan 😁”

And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are. “It’s heating up in the DMV, which means I’m back to my warm weather go-to: Via Volcán’s Iced Flash Brew. It’s the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day—bright, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. That, or the Espresso Tonic, and you really can’t go wrong with either. Both are made with Via Volcán’s caturra bean, brought straight from their family farm in Panama and roasted in-house right here in Old Town. The medium roast is vibrant and fresh, with fruity notes, just the right acidity, and a smooth cocoa finish. This is hands down the best coffee in Old Town. And don’t forget to head upstairs! That’s where the magic happens (you can actually see where the coffee is roasted) and where you’ll find extra seating tucked away above the buzz.”

Raj had some great recommendations for food and drink. Started with the Bollywood Old Fashioned. Loved it! Ordered the veggie samosas for appetizer. Fried perfectly! Crispy, not greasy and stuffed to the max with tasty filling. The chutney it came with was subtle, with a little sweetness and touch of spice. Ordered the garlic butter naan. It was good, thin and had good butter and garlic coverage. I prefer naan to be thicker and more doughy. This style of naan worked really well for the dessert chocolate naan with ice cream! Would order that every time! For main course, I tried the palak with tofu and bollywood special with shrimp at the restaurant. Both sauces were extremely tasty! The rice cooked perfectly. The serving sizes big enough to fill up but not so big where you couldn't finish. Good prices and I would say excellent value for what you get. The shrimp were big and juicy. The tofu soft and creamy. I wanted to try the spiciest dish on the menu and Raj asked me a few questions to learn if it was a good idea for me. Once seated, Gloria quickly walked us through the menu and took our drink orders. We started with a round of espresso martinis, which were expertly crafted and a perfect way to kick off our Casa Luna visit. Our table was located near a projector showcasing scenic views from around the U.S., which added a calming, cozy vibe to the space.
Following the espresso martinis, the standout cocktail was the Lychee Martini — fresh, flavorful, and quickly a favorite among the group.

Tons of games available to watch and many fans of different teams converging to root them on. The vibe is great on either the restaurant or bar side, and the regulars are great fun to enjoy company. What we didn't like was we had a 6 pm reservation for 2 people and were seated promptly. We ordered our first round of drinks and were enjoying our appetizer when a “manager” came to our table and offered to comp us a round of drinks if we moved to the bar and let them add our table to another group that also had reservations. We reluctantly agreed and as we approached the crowded bar we asked if there was another option. He said “Oh yes, would you like a booth?” Which we did and probably should have been seated there originally. He proceeded to throw his hostess under the bus for seating us where she did originally. Food was good but that interruption to our dining experience didn't sit well. They did comp our first round of drinks. The menu has a broad range of Japanese appetizers and dinner options, and both the hot food and sushi are excellent. Sometimes at other restaurants, the hot food is better than the sushi or vice versa, and that is not the case at Hinata. The kitchen dishes and sushi are always delicious. I especially love how fresh the sushi dishes are.
The service is also gracious and attentive, and the restaurant environment is not loud and always clean.
Hinata is a neighborhood gem on every level!”

The pastries and, cakes, muffins and croissants are excellent. Their homemade jams are wonderful. Their breads, quite yummy! I love their iced coffee , which has s a very subtle taste of cocoa. And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot.
