If I had been blindfolded and didn't know that I entered the establishment via the parking lot of Belle View Shopping Center I would have thought I was in an upscaled restaurant in downtown DC. This has become our favorite date night spot. Delicious food options and creative cocktails along with exceptional service (Brett) made our evening one to remember. I love a well made Old Fashioned and I wasn't disappointed. The secret ingredient of the quarter branch apple brandy took it to next level. We are looking forward to our next date night already!”

Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. We also enjoyed their cajun pasta to round out the meal. We had courteous service from staff that were friendly, responsive and informative and efficient and fun. Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.”

“A go-to Italian spot in NoVA! Although their menu is small, I've enjoyed a lot of what they have to offer!

Bread - Complimentary and comes with EVOO. Bread was soft and spongey with a salty exterior.

Caesar Salad - Love that they use big lettuce leaves and not the basid shredded stuff! Dressing is light with a vibrant lemon flavor. Would order again.

Rigatoni - Comforting meaty sauce with huge pieces of pasta. A little heavy handed on the parsley, but would order again.

Lasagna (special) - Vibrant tomato-y meat sauce. Simple, but good.

Ziti - Their vodka sauce is a bit too spicy for a mild person like myself. For better depths of flavor, consider the other pastas on the menu.

Olive Oil Cake - Good choice for those with a sweet and savory palette. The golden raisin marmellata adds a sweet note, that coupled with the creme fraiche, balanced out the strong olive oil flavor. Interesting, but I liked it and would order it again.

Eggnog Tapioca Pudding - Unique take on tapioca pudding. Liked the crispy bits but was expecting something thicker in consistency.

Warm Gingerbread Cake - Rich, decadent and delicious! Reminded me of a slightly cake-ier version of sticky toffee pudding--tried to savor every bite, but it did not last long! Sad it's a seasonal item.

Black Forest Tiramisu - Exactly how it's described in the name.. a tiramisu version of Black Forest cake. Good, but the ginger bread cake is better.”

We were visiting DC, and the food was so good we came in a second night. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff and owner very professional and personable. Highly recommend.”

“I pulled in on a whim, after one of my nearby deliveries, I was happy that the parking lot could accommodate the big old truck I was driving, but just barely lol. The woman with the short cropped haircut although she looked a bit frustrated she was handling multiple tests and doing a splendid job of it. My food came out and was perfect, would recommend!!”

“I have been a McDonald's customer from coast to coast for about 65 years. This is one of my favorite stores. However, they recently installed a self-order/pay machine which I thought slowed things down. They also serve you at your table which I though a good thing.”

1. Reservation: recommended if you are coming on Friday or Saturday.

2. Food: very good
- Enjara: the bread made of teff. it is very unique and it was my first time trying it and I loved it
- collared green was good
- yellow split beans were excellent options for vegetarion dish
- red lentils were unique in seasoning.

3. Drinks
they have full bar, mixed drinks and beer and wine options are available.

4. Service: very nice and welcoming

5. Extra: they serve their Ethiopian drink Tej is an aded bonus, it is nothing like I know. Technically a honey-wine.

6. They have LIVE MUSIC!
call and check with them. Artists usually come on Saturdays. Cannot wait to check them out.

However since I am new to the chicken on the bone crew and have entered the group chat let me let y'all know about this Alexandria City staple! First of all 530-230 Monday-Friday DASSIT. Don't try to go on Saturday or Sunday, you've been warned. Now...you must get a chicken breast sandwich, whatever way they suggest it to you, get it! (Hot sauce white bread etc) Now my hometown hitter has some new stuff on the menu that I have not tried personally but my friends/family have let us know on social media that the new dishes are a hit. We're talking about shrimp/grits to chicken/waffles. Check em out you won't be disappointed!

PS if you are ever driving around a neighborhood and a food spot has all the delivery folks...FedEx, UPS, City workers, construction workers etc that is a spot you want to try. Most of the lil small mom/pop spots are where it's at as far as good food. Just look for the blue collar workers who pull up to grab breakfast/lunch!

Wait was less than 5 minutes and this is a grab and go spot so no table! Check out the menu online. I am proud of them for branching outside of their comfort zone!

Also, growing up I got the Hamburger steak with cheese sandwich, pork chop, bean soup, bologna/egg/cheese or the good old scrapple/egg/cheese!”

“These are my Afghans so I don’t wanna ruin their reputation. But just giving my personal review. I have been to this restaurant 3-4 times now. Previous visits was good so kept coming. But my most recent visit they got one of the orders wrong so they had to send it back. Took too long. We almost cancel that one because everyone else was almost finished with their food and the food didn’t come almost 30-40 minutes. Also, this time I found a little bit of hair and I just wanted to inform them about it and they didn’t seem to apologize or offer a new plate or anything. They just said all of our people wear head coverings when I brought up that I found hair. From then on out, I lost my appetite. I usually order the ice cream as well, but my appetite was ruined.”

“We dined here last night (July 8) and it was wonderful! This was our second visit to this location. Being Landry members, we try the restaurants wherever we are visiting. I am appalled at how rude the guests in line were to the hostess, Angela. She kept her composure while being videoed and berated for something that she said to all the guests…there were no reservations available. I didn’t see the manager, but I hope they back their employees. Otherwise, delicious meal and great service! We will return!!”

The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!”

“LOVE this restaurant! Stopped in last evening for dinner and enjoyed the Oysters,Oysters,Oysters off the restaurant week menu! The fried and grilled oysters were perfection and the raw oysters were fresh and DELISH! We stick to appetizers on this visit, after the oyster feast we moved on to the peel and eat shrimp, perfectly cooked and seasoned with Old Bay and the Mussels in the spicy broth! Do yourself a favor and get extra bread to dip in the broth, you won’t be sorry! We didn’t have them on this visit, but one of the must try’s in my opinion is the Lobster Poutine! AMAZING! The amount of lobster in this dish at the price point of under $20 is OUTRAGEOUS in the very best sense of the word! The whiskey offerings at this establishment are some of the best that I have seen. I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!”

“My boyfriend and I love Emmy Squared and we typically visit once every month or so. Last time were in (early December) we got the chicken crunchers with the pineapple chili glaze, which were incredible, but when we came in this time the menu had been changed a little, to include the chicken crunchers being replaced with boneless wings with a set sriracha sauce. My boyfriend and I were really disappointed by these, the breading was thick and doughy and the texture of the chicken was a little strange. Also, the pizza dough was much thinner this time around, which was also a bit disappointing. We'll be back, but I really hope they bring back the chicken crunchers in their previous form and the crust is as fluffy and thick as it has been during previous visits.”

Her review: “My mom brought me to dinner tonight and the food is amazing! Everything was so flavorful, and the crab Rangoon was perfectly crispy. The wonton soup, crispy beef, and General Tso’s chicken were great too!”

“I drove by and saw a line so I looked it up and saw a 4.9 rating. The truth is this is a 5.0 and it didn’t disappoint. I had a jerk plate and a lamb pita. It was sooooooooooooooo good. I will definitely be back. I didn’t take a picture of the food because i ate it right away lol. The portion for the platter was so big my husband and I each ate some and then we shared the pita lamb. I ordered on line and it was so fast. Walked in and it was very clean. The team was friendly and I got my food right away.”

“The food was delicious 😋! I liked that they also served pho since my kids prefer pho over Thai foods. Service was very good too. One thing is that when you walk in the restaurant it smells like strong soap smell, but they'll desipate after a while you're in there.”

“Our organization had an after Capital Hill dinner at the Milk & Honey Restaurant last night and the Atmosphere, Food, and Staff were all exceptional. They had a DJ playing music and everyone was up dancing and had a great time.

“Was lucky to be in Barcroft Plaza today, and stopped to eat for the first time at HoneyGrow! An employee explained their menu and options, very helpful. I ordered the Greek salad with banana honey bowl- the food was very fresh and delicious! They even have a nice patio area out front. Highly recommend!”

“The people working there are so pleasant and kind. The food is delicious and plentiful portions. I had leftovers. The best Indian food I've ever had. Everything was fresh. The music they played was Indian and I really enjoyed it. Would definitely return. My only request would be if they served Coke Zero, but definitely not a big deal that they don't. I had the spinach and onion fritters and they were so good and the garlic Naan is too. My daughter had the chicken vindaloo and her boyfriend had the butter chicken. I had Kadhai with vegetables and paneer. Wonderful!”

“I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.”
