“We love authentic Indian food and this place delivered it with style. Linda, our waitress, could not have been nice or more helpful. The food was as good as any we have had on our many trips to Asia. The atmosphere is welcoming and drained with Indian hospitality.”

“They were amazing with my milk allergy and super friendly. We never had to ask for a refill or anything; someone was there quickly to help us with whatever before we had to ask. We visited from 9.5 hours away, but will be recommending to everyone we know that’s coming this way for vacation! It was a nice little hidden gem!”
“My family and I ate here twice, this past week, while on vacation. Our server, Jasmine was incredibly nice and attentive on both occasions. On top of that, almost everything we ordered was very delicious! The restaurant also has a kid’s menu (e.g. Mac & Cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.) that comes in very handy if your kids aren’t partial to Indian food yet :)”

“This is an amazing little pastry shop!Best blueberry muffins I have ever had!Full of berries!Had a sandwich also that was excellent! There was a line out the door when I left!So I stopped back by for some blueberry muffins, they were all sold out by 930 am!Those muffins are starting to get a reputation for amazing!”
“There’s street parking which you sometimes have to pay for but there might be a parking lot too. Just not sure. Service is great in a lively, comfortable setting. The food is even better. I tried this location partly because it’s closer to my home but also for a new experience. I was not disappointed. We went there for an early lunch and to beat the crowd. Chips and salsa were great. I had the chorizo con huevos which was delicious and so much I couldn’t finish it all. My wife had the mojarra frita with shrimps on top with a butter garlic sauce. She raved about it.”
“Great neighborhood feel restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing and I love the use of different types of china at the table. Banana Fosters Bread Pudding is five star. Everyone enjoyed their meals and beverages.”

Del Ray Café
“Ambiance is an interesting hole in the wall. We begin with the fluffy warm bread. Soft and fresh and distracting from eating. Then the octopus salad. The octopus is just right; a good sear with a bit of smoky taste, cooked through and just right. Mussels: served with a few pieces of chorizo. Not too many to blot out the flavor of the mussels, mind you. The mussels were a bit dry, this one wasn't swimming in liquid like other places so it. Always fall for the liquid, ordering extra bread to dip into it like a weirdo. Grand marnier soufflés were good. Ask about the dog biscuits!”
“This is my most favorite spot in Alexandria!!The chicken wings are best in Virginia if not the best that I've ever tried!!! Other dishes are awesome as well!!!”
Restaurants with Delivery
“This place is an unexpected gem hidden in a strip mall setting. The food is absolutely delicious. My family is very fond of the brussel sprouts. We've tried almost everything on the menu and we have never been disappointed. Eating in is great but seating is limited. Delivery is always packed well and still warm. Overall I recommend trying Smyrna.”

“One of the newest cocktail bars on King street! This place is super cool and has a bit of a speakeasy vibe.We only got cocktails but they were all super good and unique. One of the bartenders, Andres, who was making our drinks used to work at a Michelin star bar and really showed it.He even made us custom cocktails when asked and was very nice to talk to.The atmosphere is very cute and very Instagrammable. The only thing is you have to use wifi because the bar is underground and there's no signal but other than that will definitely be going back.”
“Spent New Years Eve at Oak and it was fantastic! Best ceviche I’ve had and the Wagyu melted in my mouth. Warm, cozy atmosphere and top notch, friendly service from our waitress Paris. We’ll definitely go back!”
“We went with our old neighbors, Kevin & Tracey Durkin, and loved everything! The dates and deviled eggs were delicious, and the bolonese was authentic, like we got in Bologna, IT. We'll be back!”
“Truly delicious! Visited Alexandria and noticed there are lots of ice cream shops to get a scoop you could get at home, but we wanted something special. Goodies is it! We tried the brownie sandwich sundae, the apple donut sandwich with homemade caramel sauce and the Oreo sundae. All were fantastic and my family loved them! Very nice outdoor seating area in a great location. Brandon (the owner) was really helpful and friendly. There was a bit of a line on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but it moved quickly and was so worth the wait. FYI, it was cash only. We'll be back for sure!”
“Amazing delicious food and great view! Friendly staff and waiters. We had a great experience. Will definitely dine here again! Definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant to all my friends.”
“Im a big fan of DCG but this place is defiantly in competition with them. My chicken and rice platter was so good and the prices are of the food here are good. I found my new favorite place”
“Delicious chana masala with delicate, fragrant rice. Family-run with friendly service.Parking: In a shopping center.Kid-friendliness: Had chicken nuggets for picky kids.”
“Fantastic street tacos ($4-$6 per) and delicious margaritas. Orders are taken on a kiosk, so… no human interaction and straight forward. The only interaction we had was through the bar tender, which wasn’t much. Didn’t seem like wanted to be there nor did he seem to care about customers waiting to order. Bottom line - awesome food, unfriendly drinks.”
“What a great pizza place. Went there for lunch with my girlfriend. We got double pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. Great service and great food. Will be back.”
“Coffee In is such a lovely little coffee shop! Very clean and cutely decorated. Love that they had a highchair for our baby. The coffee is tasty and they have a pretty wide selection to choose from. The waffles are AMAZING, as is their customer service. We really enjoy this place and so glad they opened. We will be returning :)”

Crab Cab
“Went for the first time yesterday. Food was so good! I had the Dominator. The crab cakes was to die for. Customer Service was awesome and the inside was so clean. Only suggestion I make is signage on outside. You are known for your bright yellow sign but that isn’t what’s on your building. So it was alittle hard to find. I knew you was open from following you on social media and I knew the area because I use to live there but my parents who live walking distance and others wasn’t aware of you. I think having more signage and your bright yellow signs so people traveling on Richmond highways know you there will give you the business you deserve.”

“The food and drinks were good. The service was pretty slow. The place is very small. My main complaint was our main dish was cold. Like it was sitting out for a while.”

“We had just arrived in Alexandria and we were looking for a place to eat and we stumbled across this Italian restaurant. They kindly seated us under the gorgeous lighting which creates a romantic atmosphere. I ordered the rigatoni which was phenomenal and quite literally melted in my mouth. The drinks were also very good. They gave us complementary mini soups, bread and a surprise dessert simply out of kindness which made my day. Thank you!!!”

“This is small Japanese restaurant (only 4 tables and reservation only) with only course menu. All the dishes were fantastic! Even dessert (house made green tea ice cream) was the best ever I tasted! Wagyu beef was really good, but my most favorite dish of the day was Octopus agedashi. It was little crisp outside and chewy soft inside. I strongly recommend this restaurant for special occasion.”
“Authentic Yunnan cuisine. Fast service. Great options. Starters were excellent. Vegetarian options available pretty much for all the menu items. Cucumber roll starters and mushrooms were great. Mains portions are large enough to share. Another thing to note is that they provide corkage- so feel free to bring your own wine.”
“I enjoy eating at Bonefish. I usually go about 1-2 times a week with a friend. We always ask for Chaz for our server. He pays attention to detail and remembers what we like without asking. The new manager, Mollie, seems very nice and aims to please all customers.”
“First time here in Downtown Alexandria. Service was excellent, fast and polite. Food was amazing. Offer over looked are the bathrooms. Very clean. Great decor and atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again. If you are in the area, stop by and try their food. You will not regret it.”
“The only place out of DC with a real live Jazz Band and No cover charge. I love it keep the great work. Wonder if possible to open the outdoor tables and windows in order to listen to the music.”
“Sat at the bar and loved the ambience. It’s quaint and can be a nice romantic spot for couples. Our bartender was great and he recommended the prix fixe menu and it was definitely worth it. Got the marinated beets salad, lamb and Crème brûlée! Will definitely return. Great service, great food. What else can one ask for?!”
“I took my parents. They swear this was the best restaurant meal they've had in ages. The food was exceptional with amazing presentation and nice portions. I highly recommend the fois gras.”
“Wow let us say it again WOW!! RTs is a hidden gem, from the attention of the staff to the absolutely incredible food this is a restaurant that deserves to be recognized ! We'll surely be back !”
“First time ever at a German restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed! As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome. The ambiance is classic and cozy. We started off with the Cevapcici Appetizer and it was delicious! I had the seafood and rice special and the seafood was well seasoned with a good portion of perfectly cooked rice. Ended the meal with the Apfelkuechle with ice cream and it was phenomenal! Light but very tasty! Service was superb! Very friendly and attentive. Will definitely revisit this little Old Town gem! Can’t wait for the summer to enjoy their beautiful patio.”

24 Hour Restaurants
“Two big pieces of French toast and fresh fried eggs. Simple and delicious! Friendly wait staff who treated me like a regular even though I’m a newcomer. The restaurant smells fresh and looks cozy like you’d expect. Glad I stopped in for an evening breakfast. Thanks for being open 24 hours in Arlington.”
“It’s been awhile but I was impressed,With inflation being what it is prices have been going up and quantity has been going down. I found that although prices were up at Denny’s since my last visit the quality and quantity remained the same. The service was superb and I would highly recommend this place for a good breakfast.”

“the food was as average as expected...I would have liked a server who had a better grasp of English but I understand help is hard to find...Parking: It's a plaza, plenty of parking which is why we went there... and only why. It's the DC area after all”
“Not any different than your average McDonald's. Service was good and the food was hot. I dont eat fast food much especially with the prices nowadays they all think there a fortune 500 company.”
“Honestly I've been going here since I was a kid and they never mess up my food and I love how they make the chicken nuggets and fries, in every other place where I got mc Donalds they're always soggy. This is a perfect 10/10. I really like McDonald's for their good food and drinks. I recommend it!”
“I have been a McDonald's customer from coast to coast for about 65 years. This is one of my favorite stores. However, they recently installed a self-order/pay machine which I thought slowed things down. They also serve you at your table which I though a good thing.”
“The sad thing now with Mc Donald's stores you have to pay for the faucet water and you can't order milkshakes from the app.Dietary restrictions: Not a lot of information about dietary restrictions”
“Reviewing a McDs seems odd but I had to say this location set a new high mark for design and food. Built when land was not as tight, this drive thru actually has its own little parking lot if an order is holding up the line. You can see the owners spend money to keep this place updated. However, it is the food that set a new quality-level. They were running bogo specials so I got 2 big macs. Quickly provided, these burgers actually were hot and juicy and had ample portions of fresh lettuce and special sauce. I have travelled the world and have valued the reliability McDs provided but this place has mastered it!”
“Kudos to Jason for going above and beyond with helping me this morning. Thank you, it truly made my morning thus far. I was getting breakfast at 5:38 this morning from here I went through the drive through and everyone was so welcoming and friendly . This is the first time this has ever happened since coming to this particular McDonald’s. Service was so great I needed to leave a comment!”
“I liked it, it has self-ordering and payment and it is very clean and very polite. They made a mistake with my order but they knew how to give a prompt solution. I think they deserve 5 stars.Parking: I can remember a parking space for 10 cars. including disabled.”
“My bestie helped me kick off my birthday week celebration by buying me a triple whopper and onion rings. And of course we wore our burger king crowns! It has been a very long time since I had Burger King and the food was pretty good. Not something I want to eat on a regular basis but for an occasional fun treat it is good. I saw alot of negative reviews for this particular store but we had a nice time just hanging out eating our burgers and sharing fries. The workers were perfectly kind and gave me my order in a timely manner. It's Burger King so set your expectations realistically and just have a good time chilling. Life is too short to let missing ketchup packets ruin your day or mood. And also, please be kind to all service workers. There is no reason to be rude.”
“I enjoy eating at Bonefish. I usually go about 1-2 times a week with a friend. We always ask for Chaz for our server. He pays attention to detail and remembers what we like without asking. The new manager, Mollie, seems very nice and aims to please all customers.”
“The best pizza in the DMV, by far! Friendly staff, great service and fantastic drinks. We are regulars! There is always a wait to get a table, but you can order snacks and drinks and hang out outside while listening to pleasant music. Highly recommended! ?”

Takeout Restaurants
“They were amazing with my milk allergy and super friendly. We never had to ask for a refill or anything; someone was there quickly to help us with whatever before we had to ask. We visited from 9.5 hours away, but will be recommending to everyone we know that’s coming this way for vacation! It was a nice little hidden gem!”
“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.”
“My family and I ate here twice, this past week, while on vacation. Our server, Jasmine was incredibly nice and attentive on both occasions. On top of that, almost everything we ordered was very delicious! “The ribeye sandwich is insanely good—tender prime rib, thin sliced provolone, a pillow soft hoagie roll, and dipped in jus or on the side. Eddie’s has a good thing going!”

“I enjoyed the food and coffee, I bought me a detox pack of juices to get my detox started. Everything about this place is customer service friendly and great prices and quality food. Every time I visit this part of Virginia I have my go to spot zen press does the body good!!!”
“The food was excellent and the staff was amazing I am from New Jersey one of my friend recommended to me for sheeryakh but I did my Iftar here and have the sheeryakh that was so delicious thanks from your service ?❤️”
“The best pizza in the DMV, by far! Friendly staff, great service and fantastic drinks. We are regulars! There is always a wait to get a table, but you can order snacks and drinks and hang out outside while listening to pleasant music. Highly recommended! ?”
“I had to drive an hour home, ordered a smash burger. Would it have been better if I ate it fresh? Yes. Was it still a great burger? ONE OF THE BEST I HAD IN A WHILE. Also an awesome guy to talk to, incredibly friendly and creates a great atmosphere for his customers !”
“Finally tried this spot and must be considered an Old Town staple. Original and well put together cocktail menu, they nail the spicy mezcal margarita. Very relaxed ambiance, good hip-hop music inside, space outside. Food came pretty quick: solid chicken sandwich and burger (do emphasize how you prefer your burger cooked). Great place to meet up with a friend for relaxed drinks and eats.”
“I love this place! Food is always delicious and drinks are on point every time. They are a mile from my place so I’m there a couple times a week. My favorite bartender is Attia, very dedicated to customer service which keeps me coming back. This is the best place for tacos in the DMV. I’ve been to the other places and they just don’t compare. Oh and when you go get the Taquera salsa. It’s my favorite so I buy the big bottle every visit.”
“I just love this spot for a quiet place to work or read, or a nice spot to meet a friend for coffee or a casual lunch.Last week I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup twice and it is delicious. I even brought a quart home! I also had the prosciutto, goat cheese and apple sandwich on a baguette which was perfect.I have had lattes there often and always delicious. This week I brought home the chicken enchiladas from the market and the beef bolgogi - each meal generously fed two of us and was so delicious. The staff is always helpful, kind and attentive.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian salads, fruit and more for breakfast options.Parking: If there in the morning, always easy to find parking in front on South WashingtonStreet (going against traffic). Parking requires using the Park Mobile App.Kid-friendliness: Always a slew of strollers at Mae's!”
“An experience like no other- a curated, intentional neighborhood bar that makes you feel you’re a local (even if, like me, you’re a guest). I will return the next time I’m in Alexandria, and would even make the trip from downtown just for this special place. The food and drinks were incredible, I can’t speak highly enough.”
“The ambiance of this cafe first drew me in, it's clean, modern, and relaxing. The food and service keep me coming back. The blueberry pancakes are incredible! FULL of blueberries. The avocado toast is the perfect portion size, I feel full and satisfied without being stuffed. The baked goods are delicious, and always fresh. The coffee drinks are exceptional, as well. The service is polite and quick. It's so awesome to see an interesting mix of customers enjoying an elevated, quick breakfast, and the incredible amount of take out orders this business handles.I love taking people from out of town here - everyone raves about how cute the cafe is, and how good everything was.”
“The only place out of DC with a real live Jazz Band and No cover charge. I love it keep the great work. Wonder if possible to open the outdoor tables and windows in order to listen to the music.”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“What a beer lovers place to go. Lots of parking across the street. I've seen their beers in many beer and wine stores and Optimal Wit is probably the most recognizable. For folks that like pilsners like me, there are so many to choose from and really enjoyed their downright Pilsner and their American pale ale, essential pale ale. Nice to see breweries still make these that are not all IPA's. Their outdoor seating is huge with smaller indoor and bar seating and in the back where the beer tanks are even more seating and also where you can reserve tables for bigger parties. They don't serve food but have food trucks where you can order food. Lots of TV's to watch sports. For the kids they have two arcades (like Donkey Kong, Pac man, Galaga) that are free to use.”
“I've been here a couple times both for breakfast and dinner. It's a great laid back spot. Their portions seemed pretty generous the times that I've been. I'll definitely be back!”
“Tried another local eatery today. Thank you Sonny for great customer service. Ordered Tandoori Chicken w/ Garlic Naan and Peshawari Naan. Drank a mango lassi that was amazing. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.”
“The cashier was so kind and helpful. The noodles were delicious. They mad it extra spicy like we asked too. So amazing. I'm still drooling over the pan noodles we had.”
“Ordered takeout for the first time after driving by many times. I was in the mood for tacos and was not disappointed. I got the tacos dorados, which were perfectly crispy and not too heavy on toppings. My husband got a few tacos regulares with some different meats and loved them. We also got chips and guacamole, and loved that the chips were clearly handmade and fresh. Service was great (my husband actually left without the rice and beans and they called to tell us). As Texans, we are thrilled to find an authentic taco place with quality food. Will definitely be back.”
“This place was hopping at 9am on a Friday, which is always a good sign. The food came out fresh, hot and well presented.Wasn't a fan of the Loco Pupusa, but the Salsas and pickled Cabbage Salad was a good accompaniment.”
“Wanted to give a special shout out to this particular potbelly. They have THE BEST COSTUMER SERVICE! Every time I come, they are so sweet and helpful this particular time I was asking about the red velvet cookie and asked the cashier, Camille, what her opinions were. She literally bought the cookie for me just to try and gave the cookie to me just so I could taste it after giving me her review. They always go above and beyond. I go out of my way to go to Potbelly.”
“The good: The food is always excellent quality. They’re not shy about the chips (other locations give you like five chips), staff are always friendly and helpful. The bad: My only complaint is very small. They advertise that they close at 10pm. However, on multiple occasions I have tried to grab some food between 9:30-9:45 and the doors are locked and they will signal that they are closed. I’m not taking away a star because the staff have explained it’s due to either staff shortage or food shortage, so not their fault.I do still highly recommend this Moe’s location.”
“It's not just the delicious smoothies sandwiches and cookies! The convenience of preordering on the App definently helps...but when I can go in the mornings, get a smile and several of the ladies know my name/order...it's a better pick me up than Starbucks!”
“Potbelly's is always my go to Sandwich Place that offers quick and delicious meals. I wanted to try their new option, "Ring of Fire" and it was amazing! I love a spicy and juicy sandwich alongside a Cold Drink & Chips. Parking is never an issue and Service is great at this location.”
“I give 5 stars for the excellent service they gave me with my takeout purchase, the young man who served me was excellent, I am very grateful, his name is Kevin Rivas, for me he is the best employee! He deserves great recognition!!!”
“This Arby's has been one of our favorites for more than 12 years. They've had they've hiring challenges like all restaurants these day. So, sometimes they are a little slower than other bigger fast food places. But, management is very consistent and trains their employees well.”
“It's McDonalds. No surprises here, we don't tell anyone that we eat here, but we all do, and when we do it's not too bad. This location has a quick drive-through.”
“They had the chicken sandwich that all the Popeye's in my neighborhood were sold out of! Long lines of course, but the employees moved quickly and efficiently and our food was fresh and hot. Win-Win for late Friday night!”
“Good coffee & drive through is very very convenient! Ice h20 is given, if requested & at no extra charge. The oatmeal is good & comes with raisins, fruit---”
“Wow let us say it again WOW!! RTs is a hidden gem, from the attention of the staff to the absolutely incredible food this is a restaurant that deserves to be recognized ! We'll surely be back !”

Cheap Eats
“Generally everything was good, I just wasn't as happy as I'd like to be for spending about $50 pp with tip for a beer, dinner, and shared appetizers. I will try to visit again and try the pho. Service was relatively quick. The place is very small and won't seat partial parties. It got quite crowded so be prepared.”
“I stop in here almost weekly, and the lattes have been great! The first time I went I also had the coffee cake which was really good & soft as well. Even at the end of their day I was greeted with a cheery bonjour and was able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a great coffee break. I have to note that on my visit last week I left without being able to order as it seemed as though the one person working was taking out trash and must’ve not seen me & the other gentleman that were perusing the shop…but I’m sure it was just an oversight as I’ve been told that this area can be pretty slow on Tuesday afternoons. Really great coffee, and a really great experience otherwise. Bonne chance! ?”
“My family and I decided we wanted BBQ and found this restaurant. What a great choice. The brisket and smoked turkey were full of flavor. We order the feast for four. The three sides were potato salad, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. You need to get to this restaurant.”
“The food is always great quality and top notch in flavor! The staff is friendly and helpful while the restaurant is clean and inviting. If you’re looking for a good BBQ meal, I would highly recommend giving Mission BBQ a try! They also have an amazing catering menu that is perfect for any event or gathering.”
“The pho was delicious. Super flavorful broth, meat was tasty, noodles were perfect. Super quick & friendly service. Will definitely come back! Thai tea also yummy.”
“Excellent good service, very friendly staff, I really recommend it. I have been going to this restaurant for approximately 12 years and I really love it because my children are happy to know that we are going to have lunch there. Thank you very much to all the staff who work in this place. .”
“Found this small breakfast diner on google. Wow was I happy I stopped in. I’ve been back several times for the delicious omelettes and wonderful customer service. Omelette and accompanying potatoes all freshly made. Delicious.”
“By far our FAVORITE cookies!! All the flavors we’ve tried are AMAZING!! They are huge, not super sweet, soft & delicious! Took them to our last tailgate and the college kids ate 8 monster cookies!! Loved them! They were a hit!!”
“Old Town Alexandria can be a tourist trap if you don't know where to go or access to the local-"in crowd" on where to go. I myself would confess to being a zombie tourist if it were not for all the crowd-sourced reviews and convenient map search features. This long-winded review intro is meant to steer you off-the-beaten-path, away from touristy stuff, and see what little shops lurk in the edges off *streets of royalty* ( ahem, I meant look at what's out there beyond King Street, Prince Street, or Duke Street ).And in the case of Casa Rosada Gelato, you would literally walk pass it given recent construction that forces the relocated front entrance to be hidden deep off some loading bay alley (the pictures says it all). The alleyway is almost 25 paces off the main street and there are no signs except for some Casa Rosada icon on paper taped to a plywood board where the front entrance would be. Had to band up with a visiting family of 5 to go gelato hunting for the front entrance. It's especially scary at night and yet so fun too given how dark the entire surrounding intersection block is with no cars or people in sight. But the gelato is good - way better than the throw-back-themed ice cream chain shops that promise to top sweetened air-filled cream (ie. normal ice cream) with rainbow covered sugar that's meant to distract you from all the air you are buying in your ice cream. With most gelato classic flavors available, we opted to go 'off-the-beaten-path' theme and go for walnut and madeira wine gelato. Tasting both flavors mixed was a symphony of flavors I doubt you can find anywhere else in this Old Town.”
“If you’re in Old Town then you should definitely make your way here! Had the drip coffee which was delish but I shouldn’t have tried the boyfriend’s Nutella latte because it was HEAVENLY! Have to go back soon for that and another croffle! But that’s not all! This space is so well designed with a comfortable flow of energy, and great eclectic art or decoration everywhere you look! To top it off the staff is wonderful and helpful. So in house or to go is great because you can pop down a smidge on King to their art gallery Galactic Panther. ESP has a killer open mic night there which is what brought me out from the District initially but after coming out to see @mobofonemusic this past Saturday, I know it will become a place I visit regularly for lots of occasions!”
“This is one of my absolute favorite spots to grab breakfast. My go to is their avocado toast and I add smoked salmon on top. It always tastes so fresh and delicious. I also enjoy their mocha latte. The ambiance is very cozy and inviting with the loveseats in both of the dining areas along with the French cafe music playing through the speakers. Sets a nice vibe. It's a great spot to bring your laptop and get some work done, then take a stroll along the water down the street. They also allow dogs which always brings a smile to my face when I see one.”
“Our go-to coffee spot on the weekends! My latte with a hint of vanilla is always made perfectly! The turkey, egg and cheese and ham, egg and cheese croissants are delicious ?”
“This is one of my favorite places. It's great to show others that vegans have good food too. Their burgers are good and they rotate other items too. I really enjoy their maple mustard. Their shakes are also good. Their app is easy to use and you can order ahead while you do your Whole Foods shopping and then have your food ready to go.”
“The food was TERRIBLE!!! We ordered to go and they were still cooking it when we got there and only live a few minutes away. We got home and opened the fries, they were extremely soggy, they didn’t cook them long enough and didn’t vent the box.The gyro was disgusting ? had no flavor/seasoning, the sauce wasn’t flavored, and the pita was absolutely gross.I will NEVER eat there again. Even the baklava didn’t really have flavor.”
“High quality pastries as is with the staff who are extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Try the croigel sandwiches here as well. The menu updates from time to time with new items. They would knock it out of the park EVEN more if they offered a strawberry croissant.”

The Majestic
“We love The Majestic and dine here often. Great for a special occasion and also for a ransom weekday evening. The food is always great and the service (Ellie in particular) is top notch! If you like an Old Fashioned this one is spectacular... try it smoked!”

“buen lugar, excelente servicio, sabor tipico, buen sazon, bien servido el plato la gente increible y es uno recibido por el propietario douglas, excelentes palabras nos dio. recomendable 100%”
“We showed up with 20 people…teenagers included. We got marvelous service and the food was great. Absolute best selection of single-malt Scotch I’ve ever seen at a restaurant…!!! We were there until closing time..!!Kid-friendliness: We had 8 teenagers in our party and they wanted to sit on the other side of the restaurant (away from parents…as teenagers do) and the servers never missed a beat…totally took it in stride…we all had a fabulous time.”

The Wharf
“My husband and I came to celebrate his birthday. The food and service is excellent. Never once did I have to ask for more water. The server was very attentive. We shared a seafood sampler for 3, very good spicy soup (can’t recall the name), and lobster pasta. Delicious!!!”
“I get takeout from Diya every couple months. It's a lot closer to me than Rasika and stays open pretty late. It's a great dinner option at 8:30 PM. Most of the time the food is great, but every once in a while the food won't taste as flavorful. I'm not sure if they have different chefs or if it was a fluke. Everything I've had has been good: tikka masala, biryanis, butter chicken, nann, samoas, and salmon curry. I really love the salmon curry and samosas! The restaurant is in a weird location, but the staff is really nice and quick. Overall, 4.5/5. Great food for the price.”
“Food was amazing! Service was top tier. Drinks were perfect. Price is what should be expected for a steakhouse with an enjoyable experience. I loved the ambiance and diversity! The managers were readily available if we needed anything that required attention.”
“Yesterday evening my friends and I visited Vola's Dockside Grill. We sat at smaller bar facing Union Street. Our bartender, Orlando, was among the best I ever experienced. He was attentive, made excellent food and drink recommendations, and made sure we were take care of every step of the way. The food was delicious. We had crab hush puppies, calamari, wings, fries, and a burger. Everything arrived soon after ordering and was cooked to perfection. In particular I enjoyed the wings because they were grilled and had the flavor that only fire can bring. I highly recommend Vola's for the service, food, and the views of King street and the Potomac river.”
“VERY clean restaurant! EXCELLENT staff! FANTASTIC food!!!The birria tacos are amazing and their rice and beans are all wonderful. The steak fajitas are great!Wheelchair accessibility: No steps or level changes”
“I brought my parents here to celebrate my dads 68th birthday and everything was spectacular! Our server Angel lived up to his namesake- he was an absolute angel! He provided stellar service-personable, friendly, intelligent and made great recommendations! The space itself is laid out well, we had a center table which I normally don’t like, but here it was a peaceful as a booth! Will definitely come back! Thanks Angel!”
“Miko, my server was excellent. As a solo vacationer and I was there they during off hours he was kind enough to engage in casual conversation, very pleasant. This location was perfect for outside dining where there the foot traffic was not distracting. The burger was cooked to perfection as ordered and the shoestring fries were delicious as well. Highly recommended.”

Della J's
“This is just a temporary review until I get home and really have time to say what’s on my mind. The service was fantastic soon as me and my family walked in the door. We were Greeted with a big smile and positive attitude. We had a party of 20 people that was supposed to show up for dinner. Only a few of us showed up. I was sad that the rest of the family did not show up, once I ordered my sweet tea that changed my whole night. The tea was amazing nice and cold And sweet to perfection. Our waitress ( Sydni) Was fantastic. She really worked her tail off to serve my family. The hospitality Of this restaurant was fantastic. Our waitress made sure we had plenty of refills. I ordered the lemon pepper wings. They were fried to perfection. I ordered the pecan rub full rack of ribs which I would highly recommend my food was amazing. I’m ready to return again, but I have to control my weight lol. My wife ordered dessert Im not a big dessert person, but when I Taste that bourbon bread pudding OMG it was so delicious. I caught the Holy Ghost on my taste buds! I will definitely return and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will not be sorry the food was worth every penny. I spent out my pocket.”
“My partner and I visited Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas on the evening of Monday, March 11, 2024. The host was prompt and friendly, seating us at the bar. We tried the Gyoza, Gin Ramen, and Red Curry Ramen—all of it was not only delicious but also visually appealing. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, making our dining experience very enjoyable. We're looking forward to returning for their happy hour (both drinks and food very nice prices). I highly recommend this spot for a delightful dining experience.”
“Burtons is such a blessing for those with allergies! Staff are highly trained, and everything is labeled so carefully! Every server has been top notch and the food is amazing!”

“Ordered the green bowl and was pleasantly surprised and how tasty it was. I typically only get acai bowls so this was my first time just getting a standard smoothie bowl. The line was super long at this location but figures for a Saturday morning.”

“If you view my other reviews, you know this native New Yorker is serious about great food, portion size and service. Right hand held high??, the BEST soul satisfying food ever in VA!!!. I've been searching and waiting for this kind of place for years, FINALLY the search is OVER!! Dear God bless the cook!! I can eat a small animal, but the portions are sizable. Cooked pan fresh to table in plain view, no stale leftovers or warmed over stuff ..JUST GOp.s. it's 4 pieces of fish, I consumed the missing one not show in the photo. It's take out, but you can also sit for a bit in their small but cozy seating area offered with friendly welcoming smiles?”
“This place was absolutely amazing! I have family from NOLA and have had a hard time finding a place that knows how to make a proper roux for an etouffe, but this place nailed it! I had the Oysters Bayou, and my boyfriend had the Steak Pontchartrain. Both were cooked to perfection. We had made a reservation and even though we were a tad late they promptly sat us, and the staff was amazing & friendly. Definitely come hungry because the portion sizes are huge!”
“Ted’s Montana Grill is one of my favorite places for a casual meal! Our server Gabe was top notch. The Canyon Creek Bison burger, Bison Nachos, onion rings, fries. Carrots, and beef filet were all phenomenal.”

“This place was the place serving food past 11 and I am so glad I came here. Customer service was good. Stayed downstairs due to a party going on upstairs. Food and drinks were very good.Ordered the:Grilled lamb burger: 9/10 I wish it had a little more of the yogurt sauceFries: seasoned well and fried just enough for a light crispChadwick’s reserve Manhattan: very good, do not get if not a fan of bitters”
“This was a nice spot. We went one afternoon for a quick lunch and food was amazing. I had the fish sandwich and it was delicious. My husband has taco and they were tasty as well. We will return whenever we are in the area.i also love the decor!”
“The Owners are just as amazing as the food…..and my god you literally think you’re in Cypress eating the most authentic greek food. Best dining experience i have ever had and would eat there every day if I could.”
“A very colonial experience, in decor, food and of course the man dressed in period clothing coming around each table for entertainment. Food was very good, I had the roast chicken and my husband the duck, both with roasted potatoes and veggies. My martini was on point too. Only complaint is the noise level in the dining room we were in was way too loud at times. Noise on those plaster walls bounces...if you are noise sensitive, bring ear buds.”
“Littlest DD and I went here for an early dinner before walking and Old Town. It is as advertised. It is small and cute with understated ambiance. The service is quick and friendly. The sushi is excellent. We got a dragon roll, spicy tuna, rainbow roll and miso. Would definitely return.”
“I ordered on Uber Eats, and the food was outstanding! The Bahn Mi chicken sandwich was tasty and flavorful, the chicken was seasoned perfectly and crispy just the way I like it. The chef’s attention to detail is what stood out most, even in the presentation of the cauliflower and brussel sprouts - beautiful and delicious. Will def order from here again!”
“It's a seafood place. But I was out with friends who made a reservation here. They had one choice of steak, which I enjoyed. Well done! However, it was much too noisy and to much light at that place. The service was great.”
“Always reliable. Crowded for good reason: solid bar food, good service (often iffy on King Street), long list of draft beers, pleasant outdoor space and a shockingly nice interior.”
“Gotta love a good brewery with some great events! We are regulars at their trivia night - and it's a ton of fun. I enjoy Aslin's sour beer selection and love that their fans feature artwork that is fun and quirky! The staff is wonderful and we always feel welcome :) Don't give this place a miss! check out their trivia night (and while at it, also their goat yoga!)!”
“We've been looking for a place to call "our spot" and looks like we found it! Great food downstairs, perfect old fashioneds upstairs in the lounge and friendly staff every where ?”
“I realize how important reviews are for small businesses like this, especially for sushi which is so unique especially for knowing which places have fresh seafood. I came here several weeks ago with very moderate expectations. Everything was delicious. The sashimi platter was phenomenal as well as the specialty rolls. This place is definitely fresh and worth a try.”

City Kitchen
“This is one of our favorite restaurants in Alexandria. I was stuck in which beer to get, but our waitress let me try one before deciding. That was incredibly helpful. We both ordered pizzas and had zero complaints. No issues and glad to support this place.”
“Really great food, good beer selection, wine and full bar. The ribs were delicious and very meaty. There were nine in our party and we all enjoyed our food. Amanda provided us with excellent service!”

Le Refuge
“Le Refuge Restaurant in Alexandria, VA, is a true gem that transports you to the heart of France with its authentic cuisine and charming ambiance. My recent dining experience at this establishment left me utterly impressed and thoroughly satisfied. Upon arrival, my spouse and I were greeted warmly and seated promptly, though I would highly recommend making advanced reservations as the venue tends to fill up quickly - a testament to its popularity and excellence. Our culinary journey began with a delightful array of appetizers. I opted for the Salade maison à la vinaigrette, a refreshing house salad with a perfectly balanced vinaigrette dressing, while my spouse enjoyed the classic Caesar salad, both impeccably prepared and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I indulged in the Poitrine de poulet Dijonnaise, a succulent chicken breast adorned with a luscious mustard cream sauce. The flavors were exquisite, and the dish paired beautifully with the restaurant's recommended white wine selection. Meanwhile, my spouse savored the Salmon Béarnaise, cooked to perfection and accompanied by a rich and flavorful sauce. No French dining experience would be complete without dessert, and Le Refuge did not disappoint. We indulged in the Peach Melba and Chocolate Mousse Cake, both of which were heavenly and provided the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable, with Jean-Francois Chaufour and his family ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and attended to. It's evident that their passion for French cuisine and hospitality shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. Le Refuge's cozy atmosphere and authentic dishes truly make it a standout dining destination in Alexandria. With over 36 years of culinary excellence, it's no wonder that patrons keep coming back for more. Whether you're craving a taste of France or simply seeking an exceptional dining experience, Le Refuge Restaurant is a must-visit. My spouse and I left feeling thoroughly impressed and already looking forward to our next visit. Merci beaucoup, Le Refuge, for an unforgettable evening!”
“Excellent restaurant. I just happened to wonder by and decided to go in for dinner. It was great and everyone in my party thought so too. The waiter was right on top of things and dinner came quickly. The restroom was clean. I would definitely go back.”

“Used to really like this place but we were denied seating on the patio unless we had a dog. We have two young children and it is much easier to manage them outside and there was no one else out there. Thanks for the quick respons Sisters at Old Town North Alexandria you guys have been one of our favorite places and I hope we can visit again in the future.”

“I'm from NC so I naturally went in for the NC pulled BBQ sandwich. It wasn't quite what I'd call NC BBQ but it was good none the less. I'll definitely return when I'm craving a little bit of home. And the sweet tea was awesome.”
“Stopped into Kumo for some sushi and this place was popping! There were not many empty tables but I happened to find one and decided to eat inside the restaurant instead of takeout. The restaurant had a sushi specials menu as well as regular rolls; Thai, Chinese, and hibachi entrees. I could not make a a decision on what I wanted but ended up ordering the chicken with broccoli with fried rice. The fried rice is $1 extra. The chicken and broccoli came out hot! The texture of the chicken was a little off. The rice didn't come out at the same time as my entree. I also ordered the Pokémon roll. The roll was huge and very delicious. I wish the waitress would have brought out the roll and just waited for the rice to come out at the same time. I would definitely be back to try more of what Kumo has to offer.”
“I seldom visit fine dining as I don't often see the value but this place is excellent. Marcos is the gold standard when it comes to service and not to mention the excellent food. Highly recommend for a pleasant dining experience with family.”
“I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, it’s definitely an amazing place, the place is gorgeous, the menu has a lot of options, the service is pretty good plus the food it’s delicious!”
“I was truly blown away by how delicious every single dish at The Study was. As a Guatemalan, I found the creative use of Latin American ingredients and flavors in the unique dishes at The Study not only interesting and creative but also familiar and nostalgic. I love it when food takes me to a happy place. Chef Tomas Chavarria and chef Madeline Guzman can really create magic in the kitchen. Some of my favorite dishes included the kalbi ssam short rib lettuce wraps, the sweet plantain empanadas, the Costa Rican ceviche, the duck magret and achiote, the tres leches, and the coffee flan. I also loved the seasonal cherry blossom-inspired cocktail and the mocktail they prepared specially for me. I really loved the ambiance, and even though I had dinner here with friends, I think this is the perfect restaurant for a date night or for celebrating something special.”
“This is the place if you'd like to try authentic Russian/Uzbek food. In case you're concerned about this- this place is owned by Uzbek. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.”
“Captain Gregory’s is a small speakeasy with amazing cocktails. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and detailed oriented. We ordered drinks off of the menu for our first round and second round we asked the bartender to be creative. All were amazing!”

Pita House
“Mideterranean cusine, pure and simple. You step in the restaurant and the first thing that hits you is the warm smell of a home cooked meal. We ordered the appetizers platter, which is good for two people. Everything tasted like it should be. The beef shawarma, the salmon salad, and the falafel platter all tasted good.As for the atmosphere, it's clean, chic and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable, not as crazy as Lebanese Taverna or other high-end Mediterranean spots. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly.I am definitely coming back for other other specialties and the amazing dining atmosphere. 5 star rating it is.”
“Bartenders were engaging and attentive. Troy was exceptionally funny and made it his business to know the names of the customers he serviced. In addition, the food and drinks was served quickly and DELICIOUS!!!!”
“I’m so glad I tried this place! The food is the best Ethiopian food I’ve had. I had the vegetarian platter and it was so tasty with the right level of spice. The service was superb. The waitress was so sweet to my son while we waited for our food. The atmosphere is nice, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely come again!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian combo platter”
“Really enjoyed this new gem in Old Town. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. If you're looking for a new spot for modern Indian cuisine- this is it!”
“I ordered a special dish that was not in the menu and I was surprised to experience a restaurant that will cater to what I want to eat. The squid alla marinara pasta sautéed perfectly blended with the right spices and herbs. I tasted basil and it was minty and really satisfied my appetite. Thank you for the extra freshly made bread, salad with the special house sauce + the tiramisu for the dessert. This is my second time to visit this restaurant and I will surely come back the next time we are in the neighborhood. Grazie!!!”
“I'm from Texas and they made me feel like I was home. The bartender George was awesome and I was treated to a diverse crowd. Food was great and the alcohol was flowing. Thank you for the great hospitality.”

“My family and I come here at least twice a month and would be here weekly if we lived closer. They have the best sushi in NOVA. We’ve tried several places and this is the only place that comes close to sushi we’ve had on the west coast. Their fish is always fresh and they season their rice to perfection. They have lots of tasty looking dishes on their menu but the sushi is so good we have yet to try anything else.”
“Nick served us, we were a table of 6 and his customer service was 100/10. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE Very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Bless him!I got the pulled chicken salad I believe, whoever is in the kitchen needs a raise too.”
“The food was excellent! The pretzels with beer cheese app was gone in like 5 seconds! I enjoyed the lamb pot pie and my daughter enjoyed the burger which was big and cooked exactly at the right temp ordered. Prices were also very decent. The inside space is cozy and furnished very nicely. Plenty of drink options and just an overall fun atmosphere. All of the staff were also very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.”
“This is our favorite sushi place in Old Town. Have been coming here since they opened maybe five years ago. The owner used to be a sushi chef at MoMo Sushi, which used to be our local favorite. His sushi here has consistently been top quality whereas we were disappointed with quality once or twice at MoMo and its always too cramped. We usually get the sushi combo.”

GOGI FRIENDS
“Food was absolutely amazing and the waitresses were really good about bringing more meats, asking about refills on drinks, cleaning, helping the cooking, etc. Highly impressed and would love to come back but being from out of town, unsure when that'll next be.Parking: Strip mall styled parking”
“The food tastes amazing! Highly recommend the noodles. The XLB was really good, but pricey at $14 for only 6 dumplings. Definitely one of the top Chinese restaurants in the Alexandria area. Worth going for the food! But prepare to drop some money for the food. The interior decoration is very aesthetic, has a very traditional Chinese vibe inside.”
“I have been going here for years. This is definitely my go to place for date night, an intimate girls night out, or just to grab some really tasty food. I've never been disappointed. Not only are the staff friendly and down-to-Earth, but the owner is the chef who works every time I've been there. You can see her popping in and out as she frolics in her moments of free time with return customers and close friends who help keep the business poppin. This place is so good, that I really believe this is a gem! Food is consistent and delicious. Cheese selection is always fresh and exciting. The chef really takes pride in her work and it shows. Her rotating menu as well as seasonal cocktails are just proof to any foodie of a person who is passionate about food and the dining experience. If you want to grab a seat at the bar and sneak a peek at the amazing chef as she pops by for a refreshment, or take a seat at a table and enjoy some quaint romantic moments w your guest, you will love it.Because the food is amazing, it is a little pricey. Be prepared to drop at least $80-$100 for two people. However, there are better priced items on the menu, as well as drinks. My personal favs are the Cotswold mac n cheese w crispy onions, ANYTHING with duck (especially the salad), and the daily risotto.Vegetarian options: The meat is definitely the strong suit of this place for most dishes. However, there are available options on the menu for non-meat eaters that are also good and don't feel like an afterthought.Parking: It is a shared free parking lot with the other shops and boutiques in the upper-class strip-mall there. Sometimes when it is really busy, you might have to park 30more steps away from the door, but this food is worth more than 30 extra steps.Kid-friendliness: Not many "kids" items on the menu. But if the supposed child likes to eat good food, this is def a place for them. The crowd who goes tends to be older (I don't see too many kids there regularly), but the cheeseburger and mac n cheese definitely will make any average kid overjoyed.Wheelchair accessibility: The place is a little small, but intimate. More than accommodating for wheelchair access if needed.”

“Always nervous to share these fire locations cuz y'all will fill the joint up. Wings are fantastic. Incredible beer and cocktail menu. TV locations are perfect to watch any game. Y'all stay away tho or get to-go only.”
“We moved from Dallas a few years ago and have been trying to find our Tex Mex spot in ALX- Dos Hermanos has quickly become the spot! The most authentic Tex mex we've found.”
“The only place in town the get great Champagne (and other wines) by the glass. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, unique retail wine selection, and tasty food menu are the other great appeals to BRUT Wine Bar!Vegetarian options: Vegan soup, and other vegetarian options available.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread available.”
“I went to Hummingbird with friends for dinner and we had a wonderful time. Lovely selection of creative cocktails from the bar, great atmosphere, excellent service, and incredible food!”
“Amazing atmosphere! Bartender/server was amazing lol He was very entertaining and kept us laughing. Food and drinks were good as well. The cigar lounge was limited seating but good atmosphere.”
“If I lived here I’d be at Clyde’s every week and I’d ask for Marquis and Marley. Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Next time you’ll find me at the bar.”

Vermilion
“The food was fantastic. We had the free-range bison tartare, carrot salad with puff pastry, striploin steak and double-ravioli with cheese, potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The only challenge that we had was the acoustics; if we lived in the neighborhood, we'd come back on an off-hour during the week :)”

A La Lucia
“Always outstanding! We're so sorry that the restaurant will be closing later this year to make way for a new multi-story development. It will be a big loss for the neighborhood!”
“I love this little gem. The GM is just a jewel. It was my second lunch visit there. Jacob treats guests like royalty. My companion asked a lot of questions regarding wines and spirits. Jacob was patient and extremely knowledgeable. I'll be back very soon. Thank you for a lunch to remember.”
“LOVE this restaurant! Stopped in last evening for dinner and enjoyed the Oysters,Oysters,Oysters off the restaurant week menu! The fried and grilled oysters were perfection and the raw oysters were fresh and DELISH! We stick to appetizers on this visit, after the oyster feast we moved on to the peel and eat shrimp, perfectly cooked and seasoned with Old Bay and the Mussels in the spicy broth! Do yourself a favor and get extra bread to dip in the broth, you won’t be sorry! We didn’t have them on this visit, but one of the must try’s in my opinion is the Lobster Poutine! AMAZING! The amount of lobster in this dish at the price point of under $20 is OUTRAGEOUS in the very best sense of the word! The whiskey offerings at this establishment are some of the best that I have seen. I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!”
“The red tin tin pizza was slightly above average just looking at the sauce, cheese, and toppings. However, I was not a fan of the crust (weirdly like whole wheat and not crispy or chewy, rather like a dinner roll). The artichoke spinach dip was really tasty. They put cheese in it as well to add to the combo. I like that they serve it with pita bread in addition to tortilla chips (the chips were kinda stale). Big selection of craft beers.”
“Husband and I both got 2 meat platter because we wanted leftovers. It’s enough food for 3 meals easy. Everything was delicious!! My favorites were the brisket, cucumber salad and cornbread. Donna’s got it going on cause her food is full of flavor!!”

Don Taco
“If you're a taco lover, Don Taco in Alexandria is a must-visit! They offer an incredible variety of tacos – from blackened salmon to grouper, fried chicken, and beef – truly, they have something for everyone. The authenticity doesn't stop at the food; their selection of liquors and drinks are deeply rooted in Mexican culture. With options like margaritas, mojitos, and palomas, you're sure to find the perfect drink to complement your meal. This time, I decided to try the burrito, and it was a delightful surprise! It was not only delicious but also very filling – I didn't need anything else after. The wait staff at Don Taco is always great, making each visit enjoyable. This place remains a staple on my go-to list for a guaranteed good time and great food.”

“Tried another local eatery today. Thank you Sonny for great customer service. Ordered Tandoori Chicken w/ Garlic Naan and Peshawari Naan. Drank a mango lassi that was amazing. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.”
“We love the food… we eat here often when in Alexandria. Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my favorites! And, my 7-year old grandson gives the kids spaghetti 2 thumbs up!”

“Lunch rush was smooth and great, food was excellent quality for a Popeyes. Fabrizio was an amazing front attendant when I was at this location on my lunch break and preformed well under pressure. However Valerie, who I assume is in a management role, was constantly berating the other employees. As a former Domino’s and Starbucks employee I know a manager who doesn’t preform well under pressure when I see one. The unfortunate effect of this is that the front of house environment has an anxious atmosphere.”
“Delicious meal, I had the 14oz New York Strip with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. To get it over the top, I added Mushroom Truffle Butter, wow, amazing. Great view of the water, beautiful old DC. A little slow on the server time, but worth the wait.”
“This place is always a trip to go to. The whole dynamic to build and create your own bowl is mind blowing. I recommend this place and it has never failed me in the 6 times ive been here in the last 3 years...Quick secret, when building your bowls, choose your greens first and then top it off with all meats of your choice.. Stack it high as long as it doesnt fall off the bowlGo on an empty stomach cause its a spot where they serve you more than you can eat, the price is exactly what youre getting and maybe more.”
“You can ignore Janet’s 1 star review below. I find this place to be a hidden gem. The food, the wine, the service, and the atmosphere is a unique experience. Give it a try and come back on here to leave your thoughts.”
“My family and I decided we wanted BBQ and found this restaurant. What a great choice. The brisket and smoked turkey were full of flavor. We order the feast for four. The three sides were potato salad, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. You need to get to this restaurant.”
“My recent visit to The Executive Diner in Alexandria, VA, for breakfast was quite a pleasant experience. The diner boasts ample parking and a variety of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, which is great for any weather or occasion. They are also kid-friendly, making it a stress-free choice for families. We tried the sausage and biscuits, which were served in a generous portion size, ideal for sharing. The maple sausage, eggs, and French toast combo was tasty, although the eggs were a bit runny and the French toast was slightly over-fried around the edges. However, the softer parts of the French toast were delicious, especially with the berries, even if a tad too sweet.A highlight was the freshly pressed orange juice, which I recommend enjoying over a separate glass of ice for the best experience. Despite the small critiques, the overall meal was delightful, and I'm eager to return to The Executive Diner to satisfy my morning cravings.”
“They just got done feeding a hoard of school kids an still were pleasant to my family. Food was great and staff was even better. Take your family there or order in. Your stomach and heart will thank you”
“This is just a temporary review until I get home and really have time to say what’s on my mind.
“If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Ghanaian foods and be entertained by some cool Afrobeats, save yourself the hassle of flying to Accra and drive to Calabash West African Cuisine nearby in Alexandria Virginia. The only Ghanaian restaurant in the DMV area where the food tastes as good as it looks. Chale, go chop there o and enjoy, please abeg!”
“I went on a rainy day, walked in, sat and ordered the beef soup. It was DELICIOUS! Every bite I was like “yummm”. Came with a side of rice and tortilla. The vibe was nice, bachata playing, great tv to watch spots.”
“This place never disappoints. They have all my favorite dishes: sushi, hibachi, soup bar, fried fish (I'm talking about lightly battered, still has the skin & bones, not the fillet type, but they do have that). Dinner is the best time to go because they have whole crabs, better meat selection, more dishes. Now if they had raw oysters, this would be my go to place.”
“Best brisket and espresso BBQ sauce I have ever had. The passion this gentleman has about his meat and sauces is something rarely seen. Great guy and great food.”
“Concretes weren’t on the menu but the friendliest staff offered to make me a shake without the milk. Great business - and BEST concrete ever!!! This was my first time here - I’ll be a regular!!”
“Food was absolutely amazing and the waitresses were really good about bringing more meats, asking about refills on drinks, cleaning, helping the cooking, etc. Highly impressed and would love to come back but being from out of town, unsure when that'll next be.Parking: Strip mall styled parking”

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!”
“The latest incarnation of this eatery has a spicy scene and the food to follow. Think Caribbean. We were a group of 13 and our food orders and drinks were quickly and competently delivered. Best of all is the wonderful appointments that complete the illusion of Havana -- Lena's Havana Loft.”
“Jennifer was AMAZING!!! The food was great and the service was outstanding! The wings and macaroni and cheese are a must try! The pretty as a peach was one of the best lemon drops I’ve had.Check this place out and ask for Jennifer’s section!”
“What a great pizza place. Went there for lunch with my girlfriend. We got double pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. Great service and great food. Will be back.”
“Good but not great. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic. So was the honey mustard and sweet potato fries. The service was fast and friendly. Emphasis on fast. The chicken was just good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the breading and it was a touch dry. Not anything terrible, but I’ve had better. It was good enough where I would give it another chance. Overall, positive experience and I would recommend it to a friend!”
“We had dinner here last night after a long day seeing the cherry blossoms. Such a charming and quaint atmosphere. The food is amazing!!! The service is fantastic!! I had been here before and was happy to come back. If you are in the area, make sure to make a reservation. My favorite restaurant in Alexandria!”
“I ate at Alexandria's King & Rye several times in April. Service was great, from hosts to servers. Most of what I ate (dinner & breakfast) was good but not worth writing a review. The one standout is their Bread Pudding. It's served hot and topped with cream, strawberries and delicious blackberries! Definitely worth a try, if you are there. My photo is the bread pudding in a to-go box.”
“This restaurant came highly recommended. I called in my order, had to pay for call-in when placed. The young lady on the phone told me 20 minutes but I waited close to 40 minutes. When I got my food which was a jerk chicken dinner, I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious with nice portion size. I could tell the food was made with love and quality ingredients. The young lady who was bagging the order did it with such care. So was it worth paying for it over the phone and waiting an additional 20 minutes, yes it was worth it to receive food of good quality and handle with care. I understand the wait when you are given delicious fresh food! Well done Ms. Ruby, I will let me coworkers know about this spot!”
“Im a big fan of DCG but this place is defiantly in competition with them. My chicken and rice platter was so good and the prices are of the food here are good. I found my new favorite place”
“For my first visit I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Went on a quiet Sunday night and the service was amazing. We were given options of seating as it was kind of empty. Our server checked in many times after taking out our original order. I loved the decor and the feel of the space. The food We ordered the risotto tots as an appetizer. It was a solid 3/5 on flavor. The tots were cooked okay but the crunch was a little overwhelming on some pieces. The sauce was a tad too acidic to compliment the cheesiness of the tots. The pizza was definitely the star of the show. The crust was cooked well and the toppings were great. My only issue was the raw huge chunks of garlic. The flavor was good over all but I wish the garlic was incorporated in a different way. I would absolutely try here again.”
“This place is ?!!! Ordered the 9 piece and 2 waffles. The chicken might be the best fried chicken I've had. Its up there. The waffle is good too had to put it in the oven but thats my preference.. 5 STARS easy”
“Oh my! I was part of a large group who had the Nile Journey. It was FANTASTIC! The food was superb; the service impeccable; the the ambiance lovely. This will be our go-to restaurant whenever we are in Old Town. Thank you for a dining experience we will long remember.”
“We were so pleased with our meal at Vasos. The food was extremely fresh and delicious. The menu was very interesting and creative. We couldn't leave the review without making special mention of how lovely the service was. Each and every person that served us that day was eager to help, kind and friendly. This was the first time we have visited Vasos, but it won't be the last.”
