“Best Tex Mex restaurant in the Alexandria - Belle Haven area. This is my go to spot when I'm craving Tex Mex. Food: If you dine in, make sure to get the steak fajitas - you won't be disappointed. The fajitas come out sizzling out, and the steak is actually of great quality and comes topped with melted butter for an added taste. Recently, I've been binging their Birria Tacos which are very tasty, and comes with great sauces. Service: the service is absolutely fantastic. I was able to chat with the owner and he is a very down to earth and authentic himself, great to support our local small businesses! Ambience: It is very clean and they do a great job of spacing our guests when it's not peak hours. They play great music, and the main area can even get lively as the night progresses. If you search Mexican food in Alexandria, a few will come up that's highly rated - but trust me, 2 Jefes is at the top.“
“We did carry out so I can't be totally sure of the atmosphere but it seemed nice. The food is fantastic, and I say run over to get some! Absolutely everything we tried was beyond fantastic. $30 total including tip for two people, and we had some leftovers for the next day.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and the pupusas are GF, plus so much else. I have a ton of choices here. Also if you are vegetarian there are lots of good options.“

“We arrived in the middle of the night, walked around a lot, and finally checked into the hotel and could go out to eat. I found this top rated Mexican restaurant nearby. The taste is very good. Taco has always been one of my favorites. The advantage of Mexican restaurants is that their products are relatively stable. Also, it’s everywhere here.“

“It is a small place but with quality in everything. The attention of the owner was very kind and the comfortable Salvadoran style very rich. He recommends the fresh cashew water, it is very refreshing. The shrimp broth is very different from the one we prepare in the Caribbean, but I loved it. I recommend it!“
“Great stop to dance a little. Beers are not crazy expensive. I got pique macho which I'm not usually a fan of but their steak is amazingly soft and tender. I definitely recommend that. The dance floor gets tight but usually everywhere else is the same. Service was ok just not as attentive as I'd expect.“
“I have been to this place a little too much in the last month because their food is really good; specially the carne asada. All the food I've tried is good in taste, quality and quantity. Their prices are very reasonable, too. The staff has always been polite and friendly.I've mostly done takeout but have eaten there twice. The eating area and the restroom were clean both times. But it's quite a bit loud and too casual for my taste. I recommend doing takeout and checking your food to make sure that your order is accurate before you leave.“
“Last Sunday, Rolando and Rosario our dear friends introduced us to this charming restaurant for dining and entertainment. The 6 men band were playing in the party room the most fantastic Latinos and other music on stage, it was a full concert. The owner was very sweet to greet us and the waitress were so attentive, our food were so tasty. This made our Sunday special, we were so delighted that we found this secret oasis so close to our home. We are looking forward to go back every Sunday bringing more friends with us.“

The food was AMAZING, the portions were plentiful and I ate so fast I didn't even get pictures! “Went here with my girlfriend and let me say, the food portions are extremely generous, and on top of that it tastes amazing, the fries were super crisp and seasoned properly, the Torta was MASSIVE and full of a variety of fillings, Pupusas did not disappoint, And the Horchata was some of the best i had, for $30 being able to feed me and my girlfriend AND still have leftovers. The service was also exceptional, the only minor complaint i have is the tables seem neglected but Who cares i just wiped it down, i would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic hispanic food at a good price.“
