They kindly seated us under the gorgeous lighting which creates a romantic atmosphere. I ordered the rigatoni which was phenomenal and quite literally melted in my mouth. “I ordered a special dish that was not in the menu and I was surprised to experience a restaurant that will cater to what I want to eat. The squid alla marinara pasta sautéed perfectly blended with the right spices and herbs. I tasted basil and it was minty and really satisfied my appetite. Thank you for the extra freshly made bread, salad with the special house sauce + the tiramisu for the dessert. This is my second time to visit this restaurant and I will surely come back the next time we are in the neighborhood. Grazie!!!“

“Just a great restaurant! 100% recommend. Love their gyro meat, all their sandwiches are delicious, pastas are amazing. Pizza is probably my least favorite thing on the menu but for those who like thin crust pizza, highly recommend blanca pizza.My favorites: Greek salad, side spinach or a spinach appetizer (same thing), salmon kale salad, chicken limoni, Tuscan chicken, trio dip appetizer (omg - their feta spread is amazing), gyro platter, grape leaves appetizer.This place is worth trying. “I had previously reviewed this restaurant on yelp and the review has somehow been removed. Sad, because it was a 5-star review with a photo of the amazing birria torta that I ordered. It was perfectly toasted on the outside with a soft middle like it should be. And the flavor was amazing. That was my first visit. I've been back several times for takeout and dine in and I have never been disappointed. Last weekend, I met a friend for dine-in and was disappointed to see the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. I want to stand outside waving a big sign to get people to stop in and see what they are missing. This last time, my friend ordered a taco salad -- all the ingredients were so fresh and the taco shell outside was perfectly crispy (muy importante for the salad). She and I both ordered a margarita -- which we both found to be pretty terrific. And the service is pretty outstanding. I hope this doesn't wane as the success of the restaurant increases. The staff is friendly and helpful and obviously engaged in the success of the business. I really do think the location is a deterrent. I've seen more than one restaurant fail in this location in the last few years. The inside is festive and welcoming and is a sharp contrast to the outside which is an easily-missed corner lot with a vape shop. Don't let the outside fool you -- just go! And support the presence of this full service dine-in restaurant in walking distance for Potomac Yard neighbors!“

“Don't judge a book by its cover. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Fratelli's on Van Dorn in Alexandria Virginia today. From the outside... yea it looks like a locally owned restaurant no special pomp and circumstance. Inside it's clean and nicely appointed. Then you get to the food and honestly this rivals some of Washington so-called best Italian restaurants which I will not name here, but if you're Washingtonian and you've been here a while you know them well and they're not as stellar as they used to be. The Chef owner Manuel greeted us as my husband ordered his second enteee for lunch Veal Parmesan after having a delectable nice size portion of Lasagna. Yes that right his second entree. He's a big eater. I had the chicken Parmesan. All three entrées were amazing pasta cooked to perfection.... the cuts of veal and chicken, amazing, and the sauce out of this world. They even make their own in-house dressing which we purchased a separate bottle of to go. If you're used to Washington's normal fair of Italian restaurants, and you really want something different and amazing, don't hesitate....just go!“

The food was delicious, but when I tell you the salad dressing is the perfect dip for anything I mean it, it was so good you can dip the fry's, gyro, or anything you would dip in sauce and it would make it taste 1000% better then it already did!! “This review is exclusively for La Fiamma's Sunday buffet, which is very good. We've been here for the buffet four times now. Though La Fiamma's buffet offering is smaller than most other buffets, its quality is head and shoulders above the rest. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed. Today, service was outstanding with staffers checking frequently to see if we had everything we needed. The buffet includes an omelet bar, salads, typical breakfast items, entrees and a very decent array of seafood options. The dessert table is great with several different cakes as well as fresh fruit. The one thing I would change would be to have vanilla ice cream at the dessert table, not chocolate ice cream which is what was available today. Chocolate ice cream doesn't really go with carrot or devil's food cake. Speaking of the devil's food cake, it is flawless! Still, this our go-to option for Sunday brunch.“

“What a cute vibey Italian spot in del ray! So glad and lucky we found this place. We didn't need any reservations on a weekend and were seated right away. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices of the food - all very reasonable ($20 for a plate of pasta), when the places are $25-30! I ordered calamari for an appetizer which came with a delicious spicy marinara, and the carbonara pasta for my entree. The pasta was so creamy, flavorful, but did not leave me feeling bloated afterwards. It was the perfect amount of savory. The café also has cakes and other fresh bakery items for purchase. Service was quick and attentive. Prices are okay. The location is off Duke Street in an office mall. Plenty of parking. I had a blood test at the LabCorp nearby and was famished for breakfast after a long fast. The food hit the spot. Nice pictures of their country on the wall, regular tables and clean restaurant.“
