“I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

“My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day to celebrate our anniversary and ordered the $89 menu. Overall, we had a really nice experience. The wagyu and oysters were amazing, and the drinks were so good. The desserts were honestly some of the best I’ve had at any KBBQ spot, which really stood out to me.

We had about two or three different servers helping us, but the Asian woman who mainly took care of our table was especially great. She was super kind, attentive, and made sure we got everything we needed. She really helped make the night feel special.

The only downside was that the food took a while to come out between courses. At one point it seemed like one of our dishes might have been taken to the wrong table or forgotten. It did not seem like it was her fault though as it was a different server who took the order.“

“Absolutely the best bbq around. The sauce is amazing and the food is very fresh. The staff is friendly and there is ample seating and parking. Definitely a great go-to spot for good and drinks!

My favorite is the pulled chicken platter with baked beans and potato salad.

“We are from Buffalo NY down here on vacation. The host was absolutely amazing we sat at a high top by the bar and he came over and offered to move us to a bigger table so we had more room!! The bartender was our server and he was so attentive and on top of everything. They had a large school party that had about 50 people in it and they did not let that slow them down at all. At the end of that party we ended up speaking with one of the owners and he was so nice! We ended up finding out the host had family from where we are from and that was awesome! The food was amazing, portions were huge! Moral of the story the whole staff was amazing the food came out with perfect timing even with the huge party. Pricing, food, friendliness all worth it here they were amazing“

The atmosphere, service, quality of food, and sake selection are absolutely brilliant. I thoroughly enjoy eating here and have recommended it to all my local friends. Gyu San is 🤌🏼🔥I was enjoying the experience so much I forgot to take photos of all the meats, will remedy that next visit.

You can dress up or go casual here, both are fine. I'd say you could bring children if you wanted to, however the crowd seems to be more young adults.“
