“We are traveling and staying at a hotel for NDSS Conference. We ordered Iftar Package, Chicken tenders, and Baked salmon. Everything was generous proportion and delicious. Tasted like homemade. We absolutely are happy to order from them!!! Thank you!“
“Service is exceptional! I'm so glad they have reopened after the pandemic hit. This family operated restaurant really needs recognition for all the efforts. The food is homestyle, and very authentic, and if you don't see something on the biffet that you wish to have, just ask, and they will make it for you. The Naan and Tandoori Chicken is excellent here. I just wish the restaurant looked a bit more inviting and clean. I see fresh food being prepared every time I come here, but the ambiance of the restaurant, decor, cleanliness is poor, thus they get 4 stars instead of 5.“
“I did a take out of their delicious Aloo and piyaz pakoras for our Iftari a week or so ago. The packaging was great which included a generous amount of their tasty green chutney. I glanced at their menu main items and their prices seemed high. Manager/owner and helper were polite and friendly. Great efficient service. Good restaurant atmosphere. I wish them success with their new desi restaurant.“
“The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating. The Peruvian Chicken was fabulous as well as the Rice with Cilantro and Lime and the Slaw Salad mixed with the Tomato, Cilantro and Onion Jalapeno. The food was fantastic.“
“This was SO GOOD! I have been exploring all over the city today and this hit the spot. I have to make a return trip next time I am in DC. Service was fast and the service was very friendly. If you are a local or just passing through I cannot find a single thing to complain about this one. Best saag paneer I have had in a long time.Vegetarian options: I had the Saag Paneer, which was delicious. I did not see anything vegan, though, if that is a concern.“
“Authentic Desi food. BIG PORTIONS It is so tasty and spicy. We asked for spicy food and it had good amounts of spice. HALAL FOOD People are so nice here. They give complimentary chai They give more food than you are expecting and the portions are really big. Two people can get full easily. The place is in a small plaza called trinity square“
“After a night out on the town drinking with my boys Reggie, Clyde and Billy Boy our Uber dropped us off at this bar. After having our fill of booze there we needed something salty in our system so we saw this pizza joint in walking distance. The dudes behind the counter were pretty chill and even let us sit for a minute while we was waiting for our pizza. It was around 1 am and they still made it for us which was a plus. Four drunken fools up to no good lol. Thanks for exemplary service and excellent food. we def coming back thats for true :-D“
“Food is absolutely delicious and the staff at Himalayan Doko are the kindest! We ate family style and all the dishes were so full of flavor. The Tandoori Chicken Wings and the Lamb Rogan Josh were my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any dish - everything I tried was delicious.I am also so, so appreciative of how they were able to accommodate our reservation of a large party (20+ people). We had a great time and our time here was very memorable. One of my favorite restaurants in D.C., I will be back!“
“You absolutely must order the Tandoori Naan. It is phenomenal. Best and freshest naan I have had in a long long long time. They make it fresh to order in a legit tandoori oven. I’m so impressed. We came here because we had a bike flat tire and stopped at the trek store next door. What a gem. Had Seekh chicken Kabab wrap (fresh naan, so warm and chick n kebab with an awesome spice mix. Fresh veggies and some sort of yogurt sauce) and then the goat curry for $18 includes naan and blew us out of the water. So yummy. If I’m back in the neighborhood I will return but be warned you have to wait for your naan since it’s made to order so be prepared to wait!Be prepared for a hole in the wall but the clerk was very nice.“
“Me and husband recently got food from this carry out spot during a late night after we finished a concert in DC. The food was tasting delicious and fresh, even though it was late night!?The staff were nice as well. Please give this spot a try, if you get the chance!?“
“I found this small Indian restaurant while visiting Howard University on a Saturday afternoon to referee rugby match. They have a very large menu with all of the Indian basics. Even though I was alone, the food smelled so good that I decided to order 3 entrees to go. I ordered the Salt and Pepper Special combination, which came with a generous pile of different meats, including some chewy sausage-like things, some spicy lamb, and some excellent tandoori chicken (the meat was accompanied by some chickpeas in a sauce and spinach with cheese cubes in it). I also ordered a lamb vindaloo and a dal makhani (lentils). Both were excellent, but they are not joking when they say that their vindaloo is spicy -- it made me cry on at least two of the occasions I ate some of it (still have leftovers sitting in the refrigerator for tonight). The rice and the naan were also excellent. Total bill was just over $60.“
“Had a very delicious meal yesterday with some friends. The food, service and ambience were top notch. Interesting cocktails too. They have done some renovations which give the place a very youthful and vibrant look. I will definitely be back.“
“Very rich and tasty food! Didn't have to wait long for food either. Got the chicken korma, mutton, and chicken biryani. Meat was well seasoned and biryani was tasty. It's a Pakistani/Indian restaurant so it has all the usual favorites and it also has Karahi. Definitely recommend trying this place out!“
