“We came here for the first time this evening. I ordered the shrimp in coconut sauce & my husband ordered the pescano relleno. Food came with two sides & a salad. My husband's dinner was loaded with crab meat stuffed into the filet. My shrimp was in a devine coconut sauce (they should bottle & sell). Portions were more than generous. We met & visited with the owners Don & Maria. You can truly tell they care about their customers experience. Highly recommend.”

“If you are craving tacos, I would highly recommend this place. Huge taco selection which is ala cart. They do have other traditional items as well but the tacos are killer.I sampled the fish, shrimp, and steak which were all amazing.They do have a small bar with margaritas as well.Go check the out, you will be happy you did”

“Great seafood! Got the shrimp and scallops with Old Bay and they were cooked perfectly! The potatoes and corn were also very good. Wife enjoyed the Shrimp Po Boy and crab fries. Server was great and the restaurant was very clean! “We decided to stop in Roanoke in the middle of a long road trip. Alexander’s ended up being a top highlight of our entire trip! From the service to the food, everything was top notch. The ambiance is sophisticated and relaxing with staff working as a team to make sure you enjoy every aspect of your visit. Every bite we took was delicious and you could tell was prepared with a high level of skill and passion. If you are in Roanoke, dinner at Alexander’s is a must!”

“Just, wow..in the best way possible... The worst part about coming to this wonderful establishment, will be trying to decide what you want to eat. I found myself ogling other folks' plates, as they were all so appealing as they came out of the kitchen. First off, I can't say enough about the people..just friendly as can be. Attentive...genuinely good people ❤️. I went with the fried catfish, and couldn't have been more pleased. The breading was perfect..crispy, flavorful, not greasy at all. The sides are equally loaded with flavor.. I went with the collards (and they are done right ?), mashed potatoes and gravy, and the mac and cheese..and sweet cornbread to boot (not overly sweet, and so moist). The ribs were/are equally delectable.. Solid southern comfort food, period. 10/10... spread the word, tell your friends..this place is a gem. I'm kicking myself for not having tried it earlier...had heard nothing but good things...and the reviews don't lie..can't say enough good things about these folks.. Thank yall so much, and can't wait to get back to try the rest of the menu. Oh, solid banana pudding, and next time it'll be the cobbler.”

“My mother and I are traveling from NC to home in Pa. the hotel we are staying at recommended Hollywood's. the food and service was amazing. our server recommended all the food and after trying several things we know why. it was all delicious! our server Olivia was one of the best we ever had. (I was a server for many years so I know the hard work it takes to be one of the best and Olivia was the best) I hope when my mom and I left tonight we made Olivia's night. I recommend everyone try this place the food and service is AMAZING! if we ever travel this way again we will be visiting Hollywood's for sure!”

“Fortunato serves upscale Italian food in a pared down but trendy atmosphere. Yes, the semi/rustic style means diners either need to sit close together or shout to be heard. I was one of a weekday evening of a party of three all of whom love to try new food. Starting with the formaggi (cheese platter) to cannoli and semifreddo dessert, we were not disappointed. Each of us ordered a main dish. The vegetarian chose homemade pasta with a creamy cheese sauce; the meat eater, pork Milanese; and I, the roasted whole Branzino. I elelcted to trythis fish for comparison with similar dishes in a favorite Oriental restaurant. Fortunato’s Branzino preparation won hands down for me. The flesh was perfectly prepared - moist, tender, and almost falling off the bones. The side complimented the fish perfectly. I finished my cannoli accompanied by an espresso and a smile on my face.”

“Blue Cow is our go-to ice cream destination of choice with fun and unique flavors you won't find anywhere else! The atmosphere is cute and charming, but it can get quite busy and you might have a hard time finding a seat, but as long as the weather is nice there are plenty of spaces to sit down along the greenway! The only other thing to consider is the severe lack of parking. There are a few spots next to the building, but they are usually always full, and the business across the street does not take kindly to people parking in their lot.Parking: The parking is very limited and the lot across the street is not keen on letting people park there. Recommendation is to park and walk a little ways if you are able!”

“We were taken to the restaurant whilst staying with new friends local to the area and to get to listen to the wonderful singer Annalyse Marie who was singing at the restaurant for the evening. - the restaurant Gusto is really wonderful with caring thoughtful staff but I have to say the food was truly wonderful ! I had the chicken bacon and Ranch Pizza and certainly never had this topping on a pizza before but thought why not give it a try ! I honestly with hand on my heart think this is the best pizza I have ever had in my life ! It was utterly delicious ! The right amount of cheese and sauce and a little messy but so worth it ! I keep dreaming about the pizza ever since ! I don’t think anywhere could beat how tasty this pizza was ! What a wonderful restaurant and if I wasn’t on a big trip I would absolutely return for more ! If you haven’t been to Gusto’s you’re missing out !”

“We always stop by Joe's Deli when we travel through the area. The first thing you will notice about the sandwiches is how heavy they are in your hands and once you unwrap the sandwiches you will see the amount of goodness it is in each sandwich. You will not be hungry after the sandwiches (if you can finish it!!).We have tried various types of sandwiches and honestly they are all good and well made sandwiches. Highly recommend you stop by Joe's Deli for some hearty and tasty sandwiches!”

“Never been and rolled in less than 5 minutes before they closed. The staff was VERY friendly and fixed my 2 Star City dogs to perfection. Even cooked fresh fries too! The food was VERY good! Definitely going back to try more choices. If you like the Roanoke Weenier Stand and Texas Tavern, you need to try this place! Delicious. 5 stars!”

“Had an enjoyable evening out during a business dinner. Atmosphere was 5 star! Service was almost 5 star, however we did feel a bit rushed in getting our food order in before we were even served our cocktails. The food was very good and we will return on our next visit to Roanoke!”
