“From the moment I entered, I was made to feel welcome. The place reminded me of my all time favorite Lebanese restaurant and deli. The stuffed grape leaves were great, the kibbeh was exceptional and our entrees were delightful. I had a beef and lamb shawarma platter and was well pleased. My wife totally enjoyed her chicken kebab platter. Even the salads were top drawer. It's too bad we live so far away or I'd be a fixture here.“

“Good ol’ Waffle house. Food seems to still taste the same, even in different states. This one is reasonably priced, usually can find an open booth, newly rebuilt (3 years ago) so it’s clean.. I mean the previous building was demolished and a new one erected. Still cold inside, I suggest a sweater for the ladies who are cold natured.Vegetarian options: Sure they offer vegetarian dishes, but you have to remember it’s still cooked on the same flat top as the meat.“

“The food was delicious! Ordered 2 pho, 4 spring roll, pork bahn mi, and dumplings. All of my order was fresh, hot, and delicious! Not to mention my spring rolls were rolled perfect! The rice paper wasn’t hard in any spots, pork flavorful, great portion inside. The fish sauce was perfectly balanced. I love that it had some spice to it. I ordered from DoorDash and the reason I say the service because I called just to tell them about my order in general. And the person on the phone was very kind. The person did not rush me off the phone or anything of that nature and I appreciate that in general because I know they probably were busy. So I recommend this place five stars! And they DONT skimp on the meat in the pho!! I appreciate that“

“My mother and I are traveling from NC to home in Pa. the hotel we are staying at recommended Hollywood's. the food and service was amazing. our server recommended all the food and after trying several things we know why. it was all delicious! our server Olivia was one of the best we ever had. (I was a server for many years so I know the hard work it takes to be one of the best and Olivia was the best) I hope when my mom and I left tonight we made Olivia's night. I recommend everyone try this place the food and service is AMAZING! if we ever travel this way again we will be visiting Hollywood's for sure!“

“Fortunato serves upscale Italian food in a pared down but trendy atmosphere. Yes, the semi/rustic style means diners either need to sit close together or shout to be heard. I was one of a weekday evening of a party of three all of whom love to try new food. Starting with the formaggi (cheese platter) to cannoli and semifreddo dessert, we were not disappointed. Each of us ordered a main dish. The vegetarian chose homemade pasta with a creamy cheese sauce; the meat eater, pork Milanese; and I, the roasted whole Branzino. I elelcted to trythis fish for comparison with similar dishes in a favorite Oriental restaurant. Fortunato’s Branzino preparation won hands down for me. The flesh was perfectly prepared - moist, tender, and almost falling off the bones. The side complimented the fish perfectly. I finished my cannoli accompanied by an espresso and a smile on my face.“

This small business uses fresh ingredients, friendly service, and good portion sizes. I enjoyed the chicken special, which came with delicious marinated chicken, salad, rice, and the Greek dressing and a very tasty tzaiki sauce. I highly recommend Abrakababra. They accept Visa and Mastercard for my cashless people. Also, how can you not love the name?Parking: Just pull up next to the building and park alongside. This is a grab and go place.“

“Just moved to Roanoke and have to find new places to go for dinner. Have been there for dinner tonight and would recommend this place. I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . “We made our own brewery tour of Roanoke and had to visit Starr Hill. They have about 15 beers on tap and will let you try them before you commit to your full poor. The bartenders were super kind and patient as we tried several beers. I went for the Sun Burn summer ale and it is the PERFECT beer for sitting by the pool or on the boat probably getting more sunburned than you should. It's light and crisp and easy to drink! I really loved it! It's all I drank all evening. There's lots of tables and perfect for meeting friends or hanging out after work. They don't have food available l, but we were told it would be fine if we went next door grabbed Moe's and came back over. Definitely add this to your beer tour of Roanoke!“

“Really enjoyed our visit to Mama Maria's! The young lady who served everyone was delightful! This provided a great start to what was very good food! My wife had the Cesar salad with shrimp, son had a cheese pizza, and I went for the bbq pizza. The cheese pizza was a perfect balance of cheese and sauce mine was rich in bbq sauce, cheese, pineapple with just the right amount of onion. Both of the pizzas had a perfectly done crunchy crust. If we are ever back in the area, will definitely return here!“

“Have passed by this place a few times while downtown, but never gone in and was not disappointed! It's larger inside than expected with three floors of seating and has a few larger tables for bigger parties. All the food we got was good and came out fast. It was around 2 pm on a Saturday when we went and wasn't overly busy. We particularly liked the seating at the top because we had a good view of the City Market Plaza. They had a few TVs playing bearing sporting events if that's your thing, and had both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. We ordered the Craft Ginger Beer and lemonade and the Ginger Beer was good without being too spicy while on the other hand the lemonade was very tart. A little added sugar balanced it out, but the note is for those who like it that way. Prices were fair. Spent about $27 with Appetizer (Price split between two), Drink, and Food. Will eat here again!
