“Best chicken shawarma around. No unnecessary filler like lettuce or tomato, just chicken, toum and pickles in a buttery wrap. Big portion too. Food truck located in gas station.”
“Great burgers and fries! We loved going to their food truck locations and now we love the brick & mortar place. Responsibly sourced beef- may be more expensive but you are paying for better quality! Delicious every time!!”
“Embracing my love for Mexican cuisine, I've had the pleasure of savoring dishes from this region and even indulging in authentic Mexican meals prepared by friends. However, my wife, who grew up in California, insists that the true essence of Mexican food is best experienced on the West Coast. While I've yet to make that journey, I've come to rely on her discerning taste to gauge the authenticity of Mexican flavors.Having sampled Mexican dishes in our local area, including those crafted by genuine Mexican cooks, the consensus is that the flavors, while enjoyable, tend to lean towards an Americanized adaptation. While the food is undeniably good and caters well to American tastes, it falls short of capturing the distinctive and robust flavors characteristic of authentic Mexican cuisine.”
“This is from our first visit here; Erin was our server. We loved everything we tried. The only thing we may do differently the next time we order the gyro pie, is have the tzaziki on the side because we prefer it cold. Either way, it was delicious! And the robo-kitty server was weird but fun. LOL”
“Delicious, educated, creative and friendly. If they can’t immediately fulfill your charcuterie needs, they’ll make sure they can. Truly a unique experience and place, great for entertaining family/friends and showing off the heart of Culpeper.”

“The food was great! I ordered the Pad Thai & it was a huge portion & so good. My husband ordered the coconut soup & tomato ramen and said it was great. We topped it off with fried ice cream. Bonus: all orders were delivered by robot. We will be back on our next visit to Culpeper.”
“Great place to visit - its a vineyard, brewery, and a distillery with an Irish pub and a tasting room with some really cool WW2 artifacts. The spirits are unique and very good (try the Bumbo....), the beer was good with a nice variety. You can bring your own food or order on site.”
“If I could give 10 stars I would. Atmosphere was amazing and food delicious. Zach, our server, was very attentive and went out his way to make us feel welcome…thank you Zach…you made our experience at Grass Rootes an awesome one! We will definitely come back if ever in the area again!”

“Our AirBnB host recommended Grill 309 during our stay near Culpeper. We loved it so much that we came twice- once for dinner, once for breakfast. We both enjoyed our dinners- I had a yummy fried chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun, while my husband enjoyed his "Greek Burger" which featured a layer of gyro meat (what's so wrong about topping meat with meat?). Anyway, he loved it even if his arteries did not. We returned a few days later for brunch. Honestly, my Greek Omelet was one of the best omelets I've had. I'm not a big egg eater, so often leave a portion of my omelet uneaten. Not so here. The egg was closer to a crepe, and it was filled to perfection. My spicy Bloody Mary was the perfect accompaniment. My husband felt the same about his Western Omelet.... and his pineapple Mimosa. And the best part? We were able to bring our Border Collie to the brunch with us. It was just warm enough to sit on their patio. They brought him water and lots of love. Needless to say, if we are near Culpeper in the future, this will be the first place we go.”

“I frequently visit Raven’s Nest and am always satisfied with the customer service as well as the food and drinks. Hands down my favorite matcha ever is from Raven’s Nest. Just got back from NYC and can say without a doubt, theirs reigns supreme. Atmosphere is eclectic and very cozy. Try the breakfast sandwiches!!”

“I’m a sucker for a coffee truck! But especially ones with such good menus. I got the Mad Botanist (Lavender, Vanilla and Chocolate) in a hot americano and it felt like getting wrapped in a warm hug.So many great options and flavors, will definitely come back anytime I’m in Culpeper.”

“Tanya, one of the owners, is all about making you feel welcomed and cherished. I unexpectedly found this gem of a cafe and learned of Southside's many events and activities in addition to a "country-style" warmth and welcome. Enjoying a steaming cup of hot multi-berry tea and enjoying the charming vibe.”
“A charming place to grab some breakfast with its 50s Ascetic downtown would not be the same without its presence. As for the food I can say it good but not really all that ”
“The flavored Margheritas a couple of the ladies had were basically undrinkable , way to much syrup in them . Mentioned it to the waitress , who seemed familiar with the problem , she did try to reblend them , but still not much better for that price drink .”
“I've lived in the area for 20 years, been to Culpepper numerous times and never even noticed this place. And to be fair it doesn't look like much from the outside. But the surprise is inside. As the name would suggest, this is a cute little country diner/cafe. The ambiance of the place takes me back to my childhood growing up in a small counyry town. There's an open simplicity here that is absolutely appealing. This is the type of place where most of the patrons know each other and know the staff. According to the locals "It's been here forever".The food is not spectacular but it is good; the prices are excellent. They serve 2 eggs, toast and hash browns for $6.99.... a 3 egg omelet with toast and choice of bacon ham or sausage for $9.99, And - wait for it - 2 eggs with toast, potatoes and a 4oz ribeye for $12.99 (!). In each case, coffee is included.Perhaps the most noteworthy stamp of approval on Country Cafe is the number of law enforcement folks that day here. When I entered, no less than 3 of the tables were occupied by local sherriff's deputies and state troopers. The fact that these guys know every restaurant in the area, and chose to come here is quite a statement.I will be visiting this place the next time I'm in town....You should too.Parking: About 20 parking spots both in front and beside the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: This place is definitely family friendly. There was a large family including children there when I left.”
“Best bbq I’ve had in ages, and I’m sad I don’t live closer. The sauce has the perfect smoky, hint of spice, and sweet. Everything was so good. Even the sweet tea (which I got half n half) was done well. Exceptional food in a cute atmosphere. If I’m ever in Culpeper, I know where I’ll be going.”
“Staying overnight in Culpeper on our way to Charlottesville, we were looking for a place to get dinner and have a beer. Yelpers steered us toward Beer Hound Brewery, where we could experience the historic district of this charming town, as well as get some tasty beer and snacks. We were welcomed in by the bartenders who let us sample then pick our flights. We did flights of five: Wild Bill, Teddy, Tank, Declan, and Rosco Rye. Also: Tank, Zoeie, Declan, Rosco Rye, and Scottie. The Zoeie was my favorite, as it was a smooth black lager with dark roasted malts. Yum! We noshed on Toto's Tots (cheese, bacon, chives) and sausage pizza. Everything was very affordable and yummers. There were lots of dogs outside on the patio, as well as inside the brewery. It is Beer Hound, after all. We were invited to play trivia, but declined, yet asked to join after we crushed the first round without even competing. What a cute, charming and fun place to grab some beer and light fare. And enjoy trivia night and the company of man's best friend........lots of them.”

“One of the gems of our Burrito & Cupcake girls’ weekend. Burrito says this is a cute little drinking place with really good pizza. The pizza is surprisingly good and exceeded expectations. Burrito had the bacon and arugula pizza ?. It was everything Burrito hoped for and more. From the thin and crispy crust to the ricotta cheese, to the bacon, through the feel good arugula, and finishing with the balsamic drizzle. I could almost almost convince myself this was healthy because of the arugula coverage. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza was solid as well. Although, the bacon and arugula pizza was the star of the show. The pretzel bites with beer cheese that are talked up highly on the menu, were a bit of a disappointment in actuality. Really because of the cheese sauce. There needed to be more cheese sauce, served at a hotter temperature, and served in a ceramic bowl or some kind of ramekin versus the little plastic k cup. Improvements could be made. The mugs that hang from the ceiling are very cool and aesthetically pleasing. The deal is you pay $200 and get a mug for life. The mug holds more ounces than the largest pour into a regular glass. However, they only charge mug holders, for the largest pour thereby they essentially get free ounces with every pour. It seems like a neat concept if you are a local and you like to drink and eat pizza. The service could have been a little warmer and more friendly for first timers, but we would still go again - mainly for the pizza.”

“Stop at this ice cream spot and the family and individuals working the counter are lovely people. Had a great conversation with them and the ice cream was PHENOMENAL! GO CHECK IT OUT!”
“Without a doubt best homemade horchatas! They offer a variety of tacos and they have birria! The pricing is good and the food is even better! Definitely one of the best food trucks in the area by far.Parking: There are a few parking spaces in front of the office the truck.”
“We had the best time at Miss Minerva's Tea Room yesterday. This was our first visit and most definitely we will be back! Ashleigh, the owner, took care of us and is such a lovely hostess. She shared so many personal stories about her love for tea, her business and her family! All of her delicacies were homemade and delicious! Her tea selection is very impressive as well! She has a wide variety of beautiful hats for you to enjoy while you have your tea. I can't say enough beautiful things about Miss Minerva and Ashleigh! Thank you both for a fabulous afternoon!”
“Had been wanting to try this place for awhile, so glad I finally got to because HOOOOO BOY I tell you hwat, that garlic naan was DEVINE the mango chicken? SLAPPED the onion bhajia??? Chilis awesome blossom ain’t got nothing on that onion bhajia absolutely ”
“The food here is absolutely delicious! An added plus is the winery and brewery options! The view is amazing and on a beautiful day you can eat and drink outdooors!”
“Vary nice place, staff was freindy, food was good, bathrooms clean, only one thang was not to par was the "kids" chicken tenders thay where formed tenders not straight breast strips comparable to Wendy's but in the shape of a strip? management should consider switching that to Tyson or a another brand , most kids won't complain but mine noticed it immediately as a chicken critic also no bbq sauce so I had to reflect this in the review other than that we truely enjoyed the visit”
“Very friendly place, the bread was soft and fresh, they also have a variety of salads, the seafood salad is very good, has cute decor and a lovely place to treat friends to.”
“IDK, but I guess it depends on the day you go to this place. I was here the other day and I ordered a regular fry. The portion that I got was more like a small or child portion. This isn't a problem but I paid for a regular size. Conversely, a week later the regular fry that I ordered was what I considered the correct portion size.”
“You know you're in a good Mexican Restaurant when it's filled with people! The chicken soup was the best chicken soup I've ever tasted! So much flavor, without being overbearing. Our meals were excellent! Even the salsa was the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely plan dinner for this restaurant again!”
“Not necessarily a eat in restaurant but there are a few booths. Mostly take out. Food is good and if there's an issue they will correct it, no fuss. Specials are good value. Been going here for many, many years.”
“This is a local favorite, and I'm sure there are many other more eloquent reviews of this place, but may I say this restaurant is just wonderful. It's pricey, so be advised...but the service is impeccable, the food is absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy. If you're blessed enough to eat here often, great; but for special occasions otherwise, a great place to go!”
“Piedmont is my regular Culpeper stop. Their steaks are perfection, service is great, drinks are delicious and they have a nice bourbon selection. You have to come in and enjoy their Tomahawk steak its the best! Thanks Nikki, Duck and everyone on your staff for making dining at Piedmont an awesone experience every time!”
“The food here is amazing. It’s just a little place in a strip mall, order at the counter, pay there, and they’ll bring you your food. If you need anything, you need to go back up to the counter and ask for it, and you buss your table when you’re done. There’s a salsa/condiments bar. It’s no frills, but the food here is cheap, delicious, and authentic. We’re steadily working our way through the menu. Best chilaquiles I’ve had outside of Mexico. Get there early, because it fills up fast.”

“This is our once a week go to for dinner and ice cream after a long road trip. Service is always good. Staff does not let the periodic long lines get to them. They are efficient and polite.”
“The atmosphere is always pleasant per usual, and no matter where you go, their food stays pretty consistent aswell but every blue moon, usually their fries can get a little crispy and / or unsalted.Parking: There's always good parking but if it gets busy it could be hard to get in and out of parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a safe space for kids of all ages to be.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in the front”
“Everybody has good days as well a bad days .. These workers put up with a lot from certain customers being rude and taking frustrations out on them.. I appreciate all that these workers do just because it's a fast food restaurant doesn't make them any less of a human ... I appreciate all the Workers.. salute Vegetarian options: Veggies n stuffDietary restrictions: Don't eat too muchParking: Big spacesKid-friendliness: MehWheelchair accessibility: They have one”
“Great food and great service. Put in a take put order on the app. When I got there it was ready to go and so delicious. The chicken sandwich and fries were so good, but the tea is always the best.”
“Food was good. Especially my order tasted fine.I got tomato soup in cup and one of new salads. My partner ordered also salad and sandwich without mayo. But they forgot about his asking and added mayo to order. Only because of this 4 star.Otherwise workers were friendly.Restrooms were clean.”
“Stopped to get a quick bite. Went to 5-Guys. Burgers were about $12 each, fries - $6, and I don't know about drinks, because that was enough for me to head down to Arby's. I haven't been to an Arby's for years. Happy to say they seem to have gotten better! The prices were very reasonable. Great for a fast food meal.”
“The drive-through is always fast for late-night munchies! The staff are all pretty cool! ?Who doesn't like Doritos tacos locos? Can I get an Amen and a woot? Woot! The sauce packets either tell you your fortune or give you therapist advice, and they don't cost extra. I give the atmosphere 4 stars ? bc I've never seen the inside of the store. So that is my honest review.??? ? ?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: Their parking lot area is not very "lit" up at night time. I just thought to myself how that parking lot area is SO DARK it would feel dangerous as a woman, speaking on behalf of a woman to go inside ? for food etc. & the potential for something to happen. Such as mugging or worse. ESPECIALLY now, given the fact that we have so many undocumented people living here who we know NOTHING about, i.e.,Crimal history's and then even the people who do live here who ARE documented and are Criminals and would add to that list. That taco bell NEEDS to either petition the town or the private owner to install more lighting bc it can be a very dangerous place for an unsuspecting victim late at night.”

“Stopped in for some really good ice cream and ended up with a fresh made pie and bread as well! Great place to shop, enjoy the venue and sit with friends for a spell.”

“Best Cookies in the town of Culpeper. I finally tried them and I was not disappointed. We ordered one of each but my favorite was Oatmeal. I love how cozy and welcoming this place is. I’d definitely recommend.”
“!!BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN AREA!! Having lived 45 years in Los Angeles where authentic Mexican food is king, I can honestly say that this restaurant surpassed all expectations. Don't let the small size of this restaurant fool you. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in food and service. The food was hot and excellent. The young woman who waited on my was professional and courteous. One thing besides food and customer service, that makes or breaks a restaurant with me is cleanliness. Sparkling clean. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Outdoor picnic tables, chilly yet sunny outside, why not have tacos in the fresh air. I just saw this place on the side of the road, on 522, outside of Cutalpa (Near Culpepper, VA)Freshly made tacos, authentic and delicious. What a great stop. The pork tacos had a bit of mango with ciliantro and sweet onions. Chicken tacos as well, no mango, and also delicious.”
“I'm so mad at myself ‼️‼️?I wish I had discovered this food truck earlier because the food is H E A V E N!! We ordered the Platano relleno (stuffed plantain) and the chuleta con tajadas (pork chops with plantain chips) and the flavors were way beyond what we were expecting ? The food was delicious and definitely became a new favorite! will make this a frequent stop on my list ?”
“As I sit outside of Sonia's bakery, having just finished a delicious apple turnover, I thought I would offer a rating. From the moment I walked into the shop, I was struck at what a charming presentation the pastries have. They are in a long, wooden display case along the entryway. It made everything look even more inviting.I ordered the aforementioned apple turnover, which was very flakey and extremely enjoyable. The gentleman who waited on me was just as nice as could be.I sat outside at one of the two metal tables with chairs. I can certainly see coming back,”
“Came to order earlier and noticed some of these reviews and just had to say I’ve never been disappointed! The subs are always delicious and loaded down. By far my favorite in town. Thank you ?”
“This is the sixth & newest addition to the El Agave restaurant empire, & since we've enjoyed meals at their other locations, finally decided to give this one a try for an Election Day lunch. Weather was lovely, so dining on their umbrella'd patio was extremely pleasant. We first went inside to let them know that we would be dining on the patio, & retrieved our menus & napkin-wrapped silverware. Within minutes, warm fresh tortilla chips & a nice spicy semi-chunky salsa were brought out to us. I also ordered & enjoyed their "Lunch Margarita" ($4.29), which is served in a smaller glass, yet was definitely not "dumbed down" at all - an appropriate amount of ice & a perfect ratio of tequila to mix. Not strong enough to send you reeling back to the office (if you had to go back to one), but enough to let you know that yes, you were having a cocktail.Mr. Breezy ordered one of his favorites, their "Quesadillas de Camarones" (aka Shrimp Quesadilla, $14.39), which came with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, & guacamole, which was huge & overstuffed with lots of nice-size very tender shrimp. It was delicious, & he ended up taking about 1/3 of it home. I went with what I normally order about 95% of the time I visit Mexican restaurants - "Chicken Enchiladas Verdes", consisting of two nicely-seasoned shredded white-meat chicken enchiladas topped with green tomatillo sauce & cheese, & accompanied by large portions of very nicely seasoned refried beans & yellow rice tweaked with peas & yellow corn kernels ($12.99). It was absolutely delicious, & I, too, ended up taking some of it home. If I had to ding them on anything, it was that although my plate was mad-hot, the food itself was a bit on the lukewarm side. Not cool enough to send back, but noticeable. Our server was delightful! Bright, personable, accommodating without being cloying, & just looked happy to be there, which frankly can be a hard thing to pull off as waitstaff - lol!Bottom Line: Total after tax but before tip was $34.47 & worth every penny. A very delightful lunch & we'll definitely be back.”
“The food was excellent. We had tacos and our son loved his Philly. The margarita flight is definitely worth trying. The staff was friendly and accommodating. At one point a different waitress came over and gave our daughter some crafts to make bookmarks. We are definitely planning on returning to try more food.”
“Lovely low-key restaurant with great food, great service, and great ownership - not fancy, but genuinely good bar-b-que. Next time we are trying the tex-mex. Oh, the bar-b-que sauce is perfect - a recipe from the owner's father!”
“WOW, what a hidden Jem! This is truly a coffee experience, Cody the barista is extremely knowledgeable and willing to teach you all you want to know about the chemistry and brilliance of fantastic coffee. There are homemade desserts as well, and so much more. The design of the build out is quite excellent, and I will certainly, be returning when I have more time to socialize and enjoy a great cup of coffee.”
“First time trying a Mangonada and WOW!! It is SO GOOD. They’re sweet, a little spicy, and a little tangy, but still manages to have incredible flavor. I haven’t even finished it but had to post a review immediately. Service was excellent as well. I’ll be going back all summer!!”
“We have been going here for about 3 years now. Each visit we have gotten amazing service, great tasting food and we love the casual atmosphere. The restaurant is always extremely clean along with the bathroom. I would also like to mention that the prices have not changed if a while and if they have it wasn't much. What we like is that we can eat for 2 far under what you can do at do at any other restaurant in the area and still get quality food and wonderful customer service.Parking: Over 75 parking parking spotsWheelchair accessibility: The doors and dining area are handicap accessible.”
“Did carryout. Platters come with the same roll as the sandwich and you get a side. Fries excellent, even after getting them home, they were completely crispy. Delicious baked beans too. Pulled chicken was really good with their spicy sauce. Will definitely go again!Parking: Lots of spots in their parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, accessible with marked signs.”

I can certainly see coming back,”
“You know you're in a good Mexican Restaurant when it's filled with people! The chicken soup was the best chicken soup I've ever tasted! So much flavor, without being overbearing. Our meals were excellent! Even the salsa was the best I've had in a Mexican restaurant. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely plan dinner for this restaurant again!”

“This is the best Chinese and sushi spot in all of Fauqeuir and Culpeper counties. I love the angry bird roll, probably the best I've had even compared to NYC/Toronto restaurants. The staff are also friendly and welcoming, no rude or harsh people.”
“Not necessarily a eat in restaurant but there are a few booths. Mostly take out. Food is good and if there's an issue they will correct it, no fuss. Specials are good value. Been going here for many, many years.”
“The food was excellent. We had tacos and our son loved his Philly. The margarita flight is definitely worth trying. The staff was friendly and accommodating. At one point a different waitress came over and gave our daughter some crafts to make bookmarks. We are definitely planning on returning to try more food.”

“Stopped in for some really good ice cream and ended up with a fresh made pie and bread as well! Great place to shop, enjoy the venue and sit with friends for a spell.”
“Since I’m not a sports person, I was a little leery about going to lunch with a friend here yesterday. But we were met at the door by a delightful lady named Ann, who chatted amicably with us and made us feel right at home. Our server, Caleb, was so efficient, helpful, and attentive. My guest enjoyed her All-You-Can-Eat chicken wings (Tuesday) and a fried cheese appetizer, whereas I loved the meatloaf, fresh broccoli, and mashed potatoes. My birthday had just passed, so we had dessert too! My friend wanted a sundae, which wasn’t on the menu, but Caleb said it was no problem. And the price was only $3.00! Should be on the menu! ?”

“I am visiting Culpeper and made a quick stop for lunch. I went through the drive thru. Although there were a lot of cars the line moved quickly. My McNuggets were cooked perfectly as well as the fries. They were packaged nicely. Most of all the drive-thru staff were friendly.”
“My spouse and I visited this establishment for lunch, and we found the atmosphere to be quite serene that day. Initially, we had planned to order our food to-go, but Miss Sherry, the cashier at the take-out window, persuaded us to stay and relish our meal in tranquility. Much to our surprise, Miss Sherry personally served our lunches, which we ordered the delectable All American Cheese burgers with bacon and fries. While I typically opt for the Teriyaki wings, on that particular day I felt compelled to try something different. Miss Sherry's kindness and attentiveness significantly enhanced our dining experience, and we left the restaurant feeling content and grateful for her assistance.”
“We put a very large to go order in and the whole process was easy and fast! Our food was ready when we arrived and warm! Definitely recommend to any size group and will be definitely ordering from here again. Big shout out to there General manager, manager on duty and Togo team member for everything.”
