We live 60 miles away and unanimously agreed to come back here just for the food. They are getting a liquor license and will start serving drinks next week. I can't wait to return. The beef tacos seemed traditional Mexican style and they were so tasty! I got 3 to the order that were very filling. I’m fairly certain the tortillas were hand made, they certainly tasted fresh and homemade with something like pico & beef inside, topped with radish and cucumber, side of lime and the best sauce. So good! I wish I’d taken a pic because the presentation was nice. I ordered tamales to go and will have them later. They were wrapped very well and kept warm while I sat to eat. It smells delicious. I’m not local or I’d return.“

“I love Salvadoran and Mexican food, so this place was right up my alley. They're right of Route 1 in Woodbridge, so they're easy to find. I got my food to go so I can't say much about the service other than it was friendly. The gentleman who took my order was very polite. Food-wise, I got three different pupusas (one of my favorite foods ever) and an order of Carne asada. I also ordered horchata because I love horchata. The horchata was good, but not great (it's like pizza--even when it's bad, it's still good). The carne asada was also good: flavorful, not overcooked. But the highlights were the pupusas. I *love* pupusas. I always get revueltas pupusas whenever I order pupusas, and theirs were not a disappointment. I also ordered a loroco pupusa and a chicharron pupusa. These were some of the tastiest, most filling pupusas I've had in a long time. If for no other reason than the pupusas, I will be revisiting Mi Tierra.“

However, on my recent visit, despite specifying "no tomatoes and light onions" for my pollo saltado, the dish arrived with tomatoes and an abundance of onions. This deviation from my order was disappointing, considering they usually get it right. Nevertheless, the flavors were still on point, showcasing the authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. Hopefully, they can improve their attention to custom orders for a more consistent dining experience.“

“I have been coming to Anita's since I moved to Virginia over 30 years ago. Their recipes have (thankfully!) never changed. The staff is very quick and attentive. Their menu is very extensive, something for everyone! They have many vegetarian options as well. The green chile sauce is soooo good!I love every recipe here, and it's very nostalgic for me! My go-tos are the tacos, flautas, and taquitos (must get with rice and beans). The fajitas are also very good and great portion sizes!I came here last on Cinco de Mayo and everything was surprisingly fast despite being the busiest I have ever seen it! The Mariachi band was very good, despite my thinking it was perhaps too loud for the space.Overall, go to Anita's if you are craving New Mexican food. I'm very hesitating to stop and eat on those food trucks due bad experiences on wineries and breweries . The truck was in the Shell's parking lot, the lady was very friendly and she took pur order promptly. Food was absolutely amazing we ordered pupusas and tacos . “The first time we went here we weren't impressed. However, one of the owners reached out to us personally and invited us back. We have been back twice. They are awesome! The food is yummy and reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly! Only downside is they now do not have fountain drinks (cans only) but I think that's just a sign of the time of living in a pandemic. Hopefully, when we return to a somewhat normal existence this will be back. Love Guapo's and highly recommend!“

“I went here with my pops (Dad) we are from LA and are of Mexican descent. Food was good, my shrimp was slightly over cooked by a minute but no biggy, flavor was there. I'm being picky. There's no chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants and the rice with my dish had peas and carrots, rice was a tan color which from my experience isn't Mexican rice. The pupusa masa came with my shrimp which was bomb. So with that said I think it's more of a Salvadoran restaurant. I haven't had much else but my first experience was good.“

They definitely have a good cheese, size, filling & wait time. So Pupusas are a solid 9/10 The only way they would be a 10 is if they were just a bit greasy & that's just me being a harsh critic.
