Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. “Wow! Besides the food being exceptional, I was also informed that they cook in exclusively olive oil, use good quality ingredients (no shortcuts), and their meat is halal. The owners are passionate and the food tastes like a lot of love and thought has gone into curating each dish.
I got the guac taco dip, Mexican chicken tacos, and pressed taco- flavorful, fresh and probably the best food I’ve had in a while.

The service is as good as ever; however, I was surprised at how much they have increased on their prices. I guess expansion and growth (they opened another branch in Arlingnton several years ago) is inevitable and capitalizing on this popularity has its own upside and downside. I ordered their Paa Tad fish dish which did not disappoint but a simple fried fish and for its size, the price was a bit exorbitant for me. I would still visit the place but would be more careful about my choices next time.”

Intimate and peaceful space, a place at which I'd like to be a regular. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered individual pieces, leaning toward specials on the blackboard and what the chef suggested (e.g., Japanese Red Snapper, Hamachi belly). The stars of the evening, IMHO were the house-smoked mackeral (the smoke went really well), seared scallop (wonderfully delicate texture of the fish, a creative slicing/presentation technique, and a new dimension to the flavor from the sear), and the seared Oh Toro (fatty tuna, scored and seared giving it an absurdly meaty taste -- and very different from the unseared Oh Toro we had to compare).
Definitely looking forward to going back.
Update 8 years later, 2024: Still outstanding, and the "Calamari Pasta" blew me away: cooked tentacles topped with a quail yolk, with uni underneath and -- surprise! -- a truffle. I can't recommend this dish enough.”

We called The Falls, spoke to Kelly and she was super helpful, communicative and helped with everything from how much food would be appropriate for our size event and how many staff would be recommended. We had our annual Santa party with 190 people and everyone was super impressed with the food quality, the attentive staff and how friendly and courteous they were. They left my house cleaner than before the party and even boxed up some left overs for us to enjoy. They’re a true blessing and made our party one we’ll remember for years! “Now that the hype has somewhat died down, ramen enthusiasts like me can return and enjoy a bowl of ramen without the crazy wait times. Initially, the restaurant didn't handle crowd control well in their early months. There was no waitlist system, making it hard to justify waiting a couple of hours just for a bowl of ramen. But now that the curious crowd has dispersed, I've come back a few times to check the consistency of the flavor and to see if it might become my go-to spot for ramen. For this visit, we ordered the Classic Omurice Combo with curry sauce and the Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu. The Omurice Combo really stood out. We chose curry sauce over demi glace, which was a great decision – the curry sauce seemed to have more depth and paired better with the dish, in our opinion. The egg was cooked to perfection, not too thick and not too runny. The Amazing Lemonade drink with cucumber added to the experience, being refreshing and elevating the taste to another level. The Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu was also impressive. It featured thin slices of pork chashu, similar to my favorite ramen place in NYC. The smoky flavor of the chashu was excellent, adding aroma and depth to the dish. The slightly salty seaweed, along with the soft, sweet bamboo shoots, made for a good combination, enhancing the dish's flavor. The marinated egg, with its balanced taste and just-right cooking, was another highlight. Overall, Kyuramen delivered a memorable meal, with each element of the dishes complementing one another beautifully. The flavor has remained consistent during my recent visits, really standing out. This makes it not only the top spot on my ramen list in VA but also probably my second favorite spot overall in the East Coast. What sets Kyuramen apart is that it's the only ramen place in Northern Virginia that gives you the authentic feel of a ramen store. Sitting at the bar and watching the ramen-making process is a unique experience that adds to the charm. It’s definitely worth visiting for anyone who enjoys a mix of well-prepared flavors and dishes.”

We called The Falls, spoke to Kelly and she was super helpful, communicative and helped with everything from how much food would be appropriate for our size event and how many staff would be recommended. We had our annual Santa party with 190 people and everyone was super impressed with the food quality, the attentive staff and how friendly and courteous they were. We enjoyed appetizers of caprese and bruschetta prosciutto, and entrees of gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, eggplant parmigiana, and a margarita pizza . You cannot go wrong by ordering the eggplant parmigiana, it is fantastic! Mangia!

The restaurant offers a wonderful mix of Pakistani and Chinese dishes, all of which are fresh and packed with flavor. The quality of the food is top-notch, and you can really tell that they use the best ingredients.
What truly made our visit memorable was the exceptional service. Imran, one of the managers, was fantastic! He personally came over to our table a couple of times to check if we needed anything, making sure we were enjoying our meal. His attentiveness really made a difference, and it felt like we were treated like VIPs.
The weekend buffet is definitely something to look forward to – a great variety of dishes to choose from, with something for everyone. The combination of delicious food and excellent service makes Halal Hunan Village a must-visit. Highly recommend!”
