“Very satisfied on my first visit to Ellie Bird. We came for Brunch for my wife’s birthday. The staff were all very attentive and many wished her a happy birthday as they welcomed us in, which often gets overlooked at other restaurants, but it made her morning feel so much more special. It may seem like a small notion, but it was a touching detail to our initial visit. The brunch menu is small but packed with flavors and meaningful dishes. We love this and wish we could try it all. We decided to start with the PB&J French toast as a shared app. It’s an entree item, but upon hearing how much the owner loves this item we had to try it out. We also ordered the Pineapple Bun sliders and Tornado omelette. For us the trio of entrees was the perfect blend of savory, sweet, and salty, hitting all the right notes. Also highly recommend the Ellie Bird Latte. Glad we came, we will be back for more!”

Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.”

Hüseyin is usually in front (super generous and friendly) along with his dad or another staffer, and I think his mom makes the pastries herself through a delicate time-consuming process. Of course have the strong Turkish coffee, no milk or sugar! Not sure if they still do but at some point a small Turkish coffee came for free with your meal.

The wait time was a little on the longer side, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.

“My family dined here on Saturday lunch. It was difficult to find parking spot so we called the restaurant. You have to park at a garage across the street, and the restaurant will validate the ticket.

My family ordered donkotsu shio, donkotsu miso, and grilled hamachi. Ramen are just ok. I would not order ramen again if I go back here. There’s nothing really special about it. Grilled Hamachi was super soft, juicy, and not salty - exactly what I was looking for my young children.

Servers weren’t that friendly and there were only two servers. They were so busy to check on us. I waited like a meerkat for good 10 mins to ask for a check because I couldn’t get their attentions.

Overall, decent japanese restaurant but I am not sure if I would go back unless I am in the area.”

“A place everyone must try at least once. I have been to Meaza Restaurant several times and l just love their food. Their menu has a lot of options for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or vegan. I particularly love their Kitfo and Veggie combo dish. I recently used their catering services for a private party for 100 people. I opted for the package that includes food, servers and bartenders. The food was delicious, my guests loved it and the servers were exceptional! The servers took care of my guests and provided the best service I have not seen elsewhere. I definetly recommend this place to anyone hosting an event and looking to impress with Ethiopian food, or wanting to simply dine at their restaurant. I will definetly use their catering services again.”

This is our second time coming here after experienced a fabulous dinner a few months ago.

The four of us ordered Phở for lunch with different kinds, there is only one size, the taste was very good.
There were only 2 persons working during a Monday, it was not packed but we noticed a lots of phone orders and pick ups.
The gentleman, probably the manager was very cordial, a young lady server was efficient on deliver the food to tables.
We like this place and it will be our go to when we have relatives or friends coming to town

“This is a favorite personal stop for me and my family. We’ve been coming here for years and have never experienced a meal that wasn’t delicious. The food is wonderfully seasoned with tons of character and vibrant colors. The dish can evolve as you move from one side of your plate to another. My favorite dish, the Kadu Palow, is divided into a hearty beef stew, a well-seasoned rice, and an insanely delicious pumpkin. Each part of the dish offers a unique taste profile that goes from beefy to salty to a sweet with some yogurty-tang. It’s crazy how many flavors can live on just one plate and offer new experiences by mixing these taste ecosystems. Their decor is classy and a little fun with little die-cast cars lining the bar. The owner is super nice and always greets our family warmly. The restaurant is a staple in my life and their food has never failed to leave me heading home happy. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and try the food.”

I guess expansion and growth (they opened another branch in Arlingnton several years ago) is inevitable and capitalizing on this popularity has its own upside and downside. I ordered their Paa Tad fish dish which did not disappoint but a simple fried fish and for its size, the price was a bit exorbitant for me. I would still visit the place but would be more careful about my choices next time.”

Flash forward you now have a family and introduce the kids to and they also love it. My point is this is the kind of place you will always go to and at every point in your life it will be there for you. I went with my girlfriend and now she's my wife and we still love it. When my Grandmother had severe dementia and didnt enjoy much she still loved going here and the staff and atmosphere gave her the feeling of being somewhere familiar and welcoming. New places opening up wont be like this which is why its so important to keep supporting City Diner- lets not make this a place that we only appreciate once its gone- its a place beyond the food- its a true family restaurant that has been there through multiple generations of my family.”

Oddly enough the restaurant did not seem that full because we were there early. The hostess was a little snarky. Service was good. Food was Excellent which saved the family evening. “If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Crumbl is dangerously good. The cookies are massive, soft, and served warm—basically a dessert lover’s dream. What really sets Crumbl apart is the weekly rotating menu. There’s always something new to try, from classic chocolate chip to wild, creative flavors like churro, key lime pie, or cosmic brownie. Some are hit-or-miss depending on your taste, but when they hit, they hit hard.

The presentation is also on point. The pink box feels premium, and the cookies look like they came straight out of a bakery photoshoot. They’re rich, thick, and shareable (though you might not want to share).

Only downside? They’re not cheap, and they’re definitely not “health food,” but for a treat, they’re worth every bite.

“The gentleman at the counter had wonderful customer service. We paid for our food even brought it to the table, which was very nice. It felt like fine dining, he gave us a bit of conversation and seem like such a pleasant gentlemen. I enjoyed the food. It was amazing. I eat every drop and the baklava ice cream with everything took a friend for the first time. My friend said he enjoyed it, and we will definitely be back again. I recommend this place highly if you love Greek food and gyros.”

“I’ve lived in the area for years and have been waiting for a coffee shop in this neighborhood. Semicolon is wonderful! Very cute and modern inside. The Bulgogi sandwich is soooo good. I also love their Biscoff latte. Delicious! The cost of the specialty latte however is a little high. Though $7 for a latte is pretty normal, the size is quite small for the price.”

“Food was pretty good, fried oysters however was a bit of watery and tasted frozen. The noodles were great, definitely the go to dish to have at this restaurant. The Japanese fried chicken was ok. Really soft and not crispy. Service I had was lacklustre. Our server didn’t really appear except to give us the dishes.”

“Took myself and my 5 month old out to lunch today and was welcomed instantly into this Creperie. The atmosphere was fantastic and I’m not surprised knowing the style and taste of the owners other ventures. My cappuccino and crepe were wonderful and they were quick to deliver my bill which is something I so appreciate with a newborn who might quickly decide they are done with the outing. Can’t wait to come back with my three year old, I know he will devour the sweet crepes!!”
