“Experienced the inventive and delicious cuisine at The Market recently with friends, two of whom are Richmond residents and recent homeowners in the neighborhood. I had the vegetarian Napoleon and it was wonderful! Elegantly plated and memorably delicious. My companions enjoyed the mussels, the chicken, and the scallops. For dessert we shared the Chess brownie à la mode with chocolate drizzlings and whipped cream. SO good! Chef is really personable and enthusiastic about his craft. Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.“

Side Chic is one of them!Generous portions and service with a smile.My fried chicken sandwich was delish (sadly they were out of the baconthat should have been on it). Mozzarella sticks are served with a side of sauce. The fries are a bit too spicy for my liking but some Caesar dressing cooled them down just fine.As others have noted, this place is easy to miss, but worth keeping an eye for. “Unassuming joint, but the food’s on point.My main gripes with wings from most places are 1) that they never quite seem to be crispy enough and 2) that they’re big victims of shrinkflation, charging me upwards of $2 apiece for wings that seem to get smaller every year.This place did not have either of those problems. The wings were big, cooked well, crispy, and extremely flavorful. They worked out to just north of a dollar per wing and weren’t stingy with the sauces / ranch either. So the value is certainly there.The customer service was also on point, the guy running the front counter was very nice and took extra care to make sure I had everything I needed before carrying it out.My new go-to for wings in RVA. Don’t let the outside fool you, this place is legit!“
“Quaint spot with a huge vibe!!!! Make your reservations early! My friend and I are black women entrepreneurs, so we loved supporting another Black woman owned establishment!! The food, drinks, and service were fire! Our reservations were at 530pm and we pretty much stayed until closing! I need the DJ's Playlist for real. The spoken word, live music, and comedy were all fabulous! Go check it out! We'll worth the 1.5 drive we made.“

“We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 8am and it wasnt very busy. The ambiance of the restaurant was better then two other local places we visited since being here in VA. I ordered the Californian with Wheat toast and home fries, my wife had the 3oz steak and eggs with home fries and we shared a cinnamon bun. The food was good and hot except our home fries were cold. The servers was good and attentive. I would recommend Matrys to others and will become a frequent customer. See you again soon.“
“The reviews I've heard about Alohahola have been really good, so I was so stoked to be able to come here for lunch. We ordered at the touch screen and each meal item gives you plenty of customization options. We ended up getting beef BBQ plates and spam crispy musubi. Everything came out really quickly and they had a station set up so you could get any condiments or utensils you needed. The staff was super friendly even though it was right at open and the restaurant was pretty full. The food was so delicious! It was really fresh and falling off the bones. There was so much, we definitely had leftovers and the leftovers heated really well. I've told all of my friends about this place and we'll definitely be back. If you haven't been, you must go. The amount of food for the price is unbelievable!“
“Me and my husband both got the 1/4 pound burger with grilled onions and cheese, it was absolutely delicious!!! We are most definitely going to order from here again! Definitely recommend coming here if you want a quick bite to eat. Food was ready pretty fast too but it also wasn’t too busy.“

“My wife and I were out getting some craft supplies nearby. We could smell the food being cooked from down the parking lot. I wanted to find out what it was, and I was able to pinpoint it this place. I knew it was this place as soon as we walked through the door.We came in right after the lunch crowd was done and were seated right away. We ordered waters and then started to review the menu.This being my first time at this type of cuisine, I wanted to order something new, and something I could not pronounce. When I choose like this, I do not read descriptions of what is in the dish, so I have no expectations on what to expect.I ordered the bulgogi, zucchini fries (seasoned), and my wife ordered the fried chicken strips with coleslaw.When the food came to the table I was pleasantly surprised to see the dish was a large stone bowl, which was piping hot. It kept my food warm the entire time I was eating.The bulgogi was fresh, not just fresh made, but you could tell they used fresh ingrdients. The carrots that were used had a wonderful flavor. The mushrooms were amazing, and the kale was excellent as well. There were other items in this dish, but the freshness of these really spoke to me. I was happy to find a portion of rice hiding under all of this. The sauce that came with it had a little kick to it, but was not so over powering that it took away from the flavors of the fresh ingredients.The zucchini fries were well done, and seasoned well too. They came with some spicy dipping sauce, which has a little more of a kick than the sauce in my other dish, but was perfect, as it did not hit you so hard as to be too much.I was also able to steal a few peices of my wife's chicken, which was amazing, and went well in the bulgogi.They also had a sign about getting free chicken wings if you check in on a specific social media platform. So, I went ahead and did this. This got me 2 free wings, so I decided to try their spicy wings.The spicy wings are hot, but not in the normal burn your face off way. The use of spices and the other flavors in the sauce used make a delayed heat hit you. In addition to this delayed burn, as you eat more of it, it slightly cools the heat, and then builds slowly on the level, but not to an intensity that is not manageable.We have determined that this place hits a special spot in the food world for us, and have put this on our list as a favorite place to go. What is more, I was extremely surprised to learn that this is a larger chain of restaurants, and I look forward to testing the food consistently between locations. I hope to find that they eat like a hole in the wall place, but at all of their locations, as I expect them to keep the same flavor consistency and same level to details in their ingredients.“
“I have gone in the evening. The fried chicken and Cajun fries are delicious. They have a wing special 10 for 10 Mon-Thur. The drinks are pretty good I usually order the MF which tastes better than LIT. Love the Dj he plays a little bit of everything on the weekend I'm usually gone by 11 pm as the crowd starts to change by then.Parking: The lot does get crowded but it is best to get there early..“
“My daughter picked me up a meal last night.I was in the phone when she placed the order. I only heard sounds of pleasantries. I am big on customer service so I hope I receive the opposite of these reviews. The chicken was outstanding and the sub was magnificent. My fries were good but they didn’t fill the cup. I will be returning.“
“Steak and cheese was delicious. I was really surprised. If they had better bread like Penn Station it would be a killer sandwich. Tried the bologna burger with grilled onions and it was good. The meat was way too big for me but a true bologna lover would love it.“

“It's clear not all Zaxby's are created equal. Been to several others near me and the chicken was barely tossed and tasted old. Not to mention them getting my order wrong. However, this particular Zaxby's on Mechanicsville was really good. The food was hot, chicken was tossed well and the customer service was great. This will be my preferred location when I go.“
“This place is small but amazing , their New York style pizza out of world . They make their own pizza dough every day ( don’t believe .. check out mixer at back) they use fresh ingredients.They have best grilled veggie sandwich , ask for broccoli cheese bites on side or inside grilled vegetarian sandwich and you will forget about any other sandwich .Call directly, they do deliver , their delivery is cheaper and faster than Uber and other services. They do deliver beer and wine so it’s perfect place to order food on game day !!“
“We were on a business trip and my friend only eats Halal prepared foods so when this came up in the search, we went. Awesome Chicken!!! Crispy, juicy, not overly salty. And still crispy after the 15 minute drive back to the hotel to eat (no dine in). We went back twice in the one week we were here. I would definitely recommend. Probably the best fried chicken I have ever had. I tried the greens and they were good but a little mushy for me, great flavor but I like a little more texture. The banana pudding is a skip - tasted like boxed Jello pudding and the nilly wafers on top were super soggy since it is a grab and go item. GO FOR THE CHICKEN!!!“
“Got a pepperoni and sausage pie the other day during the afternoon and it was okay, nothing to write home about but passable. Chris was really nice and even offered to bring the pie out to my car while I waited. Pizza was hot and fresh, the dough a bit thicker than what I prefer, and the cheese pull didn't exist as it slid off the slices entirely - kind of a bummer. It did taste good and these guys are open till 2 am so a good spot for those late-night rendezvous.“
“Pizza Hut is back on my list! Last 2 times Pizza has been great. Warm toast crust, plenty of toppings. 2 different Pizza Huts in 2 different parts of country, tells me changes are at corporate level ! Great delivery guy says local pride as well.“
“Everything we ordered looked and tasted great! We did Take out, and the food was delivered to our car within a decent amount of time. Unfortunately, certain sauces we ordered/payed for were forgotten, and we had to go into the store to retrieve those. The cashier was polite and apologetic about the situation.“
