“Probably the best brisket in the city. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Pairs up perfectly with any of the homemade BBQ sauces. Unforbidden Fruit BBQ sauce sweetened with apples is unique and is definitely a prize winning sauce.Burnt Ends were also very good. No sauce needed on those.More of a take out atmosphere, but there is some seating inside and a few tables outside. Worth staying on site to eat your food fresh and hot off the chopping block. Highly recommended when you need to get your BBQ fix.“

“For reference, I came to this place on a Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm with a few of my coworkers. This is a very nice spot to come after work, I very much enjoyed my experience. The first thing that you notice when you walk in is the decor and atmosphere. It has this old timey ranch feel to it, and whiskey literally stacked to the ceiling! That was really cool to see, and gave a great first impression. There is one guy that was working that day, he ran the whole place by himself outside of the back kitchen. He was very knowledgeable on all the different spirits, the history, and was really awesome with giving suggestions. My only criticisms that he is the only one running the front of house, which meant that ask more people showed up, we definitely did not get checked on as often. I'm not going to blame him for this, but I do think more staff on the front of the house would have helped. The food was also very solid. I got the steak with potatoes and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked very well, had a great seer and seasoning to it. The potatoes were also cooked well, the seasoning was very powerful (I think it had rosemary or something like that), maybe even a little too pungent. I had to dial it down with some ketchup, but it was still good. The brussel sprouts were also pretty good, I'm not the biggest fan of them, but my colleague said they were some of the best they ever had.Overall, definitely like this place, love the whiskey collection, will definitely have to be back in the near future.“

“Feel compelled to write a review as we’re leaving after a quick, huge Friday night meal. Our family loves this place, and my 8 and 10 yo boys are always begging to go to eat their weight in ribs. Such kind, quick service, and huge portions. We’ll be back soon!!“

“Very cute place. Lots of parking and easy to find. Decor is nice. Nice comfortable seating. Country music playing. Very far right news on the TV with the volume on mute and no captions thankfully. I ordered the sausage and gravy biscuits with potatoes and scrambled eggs plus a sweet tea. Tea was sweet. Biscuits were big and fluffy and the gravy was good. The potatoes were under seasoned but cooked well. The eggs were under cooked in parts. I would eat here again. The food tastes homemade.“

“To go order: ordered 2 2pc fish dinners. Food good as always. ONLY issue, I was charged gratuity on a pickup order. This has NEVER happened before. Granted, this guy was new, not okay to charge me gratuity. Its not like he offered to bring it out to my vehicle. Not happy...“

“Extremely confused by any negative reviews of this lovely establishment. I truly think Southbound is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Richmond, and that’s saying a lot! My friend and I dined there tonight and have only rave reviews. The atmosphere is 10/10: classy, cozy, and casual-chic. We tried the pork nachos (incredibly flavorful and original), Caesar salad, burger (possibly the BEST I’ve had in Richmond, which is also saying a lot), crabcakes, and tiramisu. Everything was so.freaking.good. Our server was friendly and service was prompt and accurate. We have friends who extol the virtues of their cocktails, but didn’t try one tonight. Wine selection is solid. No complaints and we’ll absolutely be back soon!“

“My family has enjoyed this Cracker Barrel for years. The restaurant and the food has improved dramatically over the past two years. Only wish they wouldn’t be so stingy with biscuits, but I understand and don’t want to be wasteful. The breakfast portions are always generous and I’ve never left hungry. The wait staff is usually good, but sometimes can be overwhelmed. Patience is always good to have when visiting a Cracker Barrel, it’s about enjoying a meal with friends or family.Kid-friendliness: My grandchild love visiting Cracker Barrel because Nana usually gets them a little something and they love the biscuits!“
