“We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. It was a nice touch that Chef Deion came out to the dining room to chat with guests about their meals. Our favorite was the Cobia special, but we also loved the spicy Peruvian chicken tacos. The menu is set up tapas style for the most part. There are items you could order as an individual entree, but we shared everything at our table. I have to say the Sangria was just ok, do I wouldn't order that again at $12 a glass. We did enjoy the cocktail offerings we tried, but I do feel the cocktails are a little pricey. It's a very chill vibe and a relaxing place to spend time with friends! We will definitely be back!“
“Although my wife and I only got appetizers, they were delicious! Coconut Shrimp and Scallops over Street corn. The atmosphere was casual and most welcoming. “This place was a 10 out of 5 stars. It exceeded all and any expectations I had walking in the door. I got the Krabby Patty which was phenomenal. The fries had some choices of seasonings but I picked the sun dried tomato and basil seasoning and I also got the mushrooms with beer cheese and let me tell you…… my mouth watered for each bite. Then to top it off, a nice glass of Bourbon which I couldn’t even begin to tell you the vast amount of choices they have was amazing. I got the old fashioned with a zest of orange peel topped off with a cinnamon garnish. The staff was so friendly, very attentive and water stayed filled. I loved every bit of this place and will be definitely coming back again.“
“The food as always was great. We went on a Friday at 11, we were seated right away. But it took forever to have a waitress come over to take our order, and even longer to get the food. We were sitting by the back door/bathroom. We noticed LOTS of staff going out the back door. And females going into the bathroom in twos, multiple times.“

We sat at the bar and watched the bartender make all of the delicious coffee drinks while we chatted with the other bar top eaters. We watched as the meals came out of the kitchen for those that were seated at the tables and booths and were amazed at the size of the portions. We ordered shrimp and grits and also the he meat lovers omlet with the loaded tots. Too much to eat which was great because everything tasted wonderful so the leftovers will be devoured. “Hearth is a real winner. My fiancé and I had an awesome time and the food was very delicious. Hailey was such a great waitress and took care of us the entire night. We started off with fried deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts, both were insanely good. Then came the main course: the half chicken and pork schnitzel. Seriously, they were both out of this world. And those spicy margaritas? To die for. And dessert? Fruity pebble crème brûlée. It was like a childhood snack but elevated. Props to the kitchen staff for making everything so darn tasty. “Beachy Beautiful inside. I absolutely love the colorful umbrellas over the tables. Makes it feel like summertime. Even during the winter it has that summer vibe. It's wonderful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy to sign up and on a busy Saturday we only waited 10 minutes before getting a court for Shuffleboard. Then if you have never played (like us) they give you a nice lesson and tell you to make a few practice shots. Now lets get to the food. We got sliders, wings, waffle fries, and a hummus tray. All of it came out fast and wonderful. The sliders were perfect in every way and the perfect size. Wings had alot of flavor, they are finger licking good. Ok, you know I got a cocktail. Bahama Mama was excellent and a really good size, I highly recommend all the food and definitely order a drink. YUMMMM. Everything was wonderful. Happy staff, great location, tasty food and wonderful drinks. I can't wait to go back. I was the big winner By The Way. This is a must if your in the Virginia Beach area. Overall, no strong scents or flavors in these drinks though I was expecting something that'd land a punch. The "new era" drinks were more creative. Liked the "Fairly Odd Pairings" that had a lot going on and "Take Your Shoes Off" for its subtle green tea notes. "7 Mile Gimlet" was a bit watered down IMO, no peanut butter flavor. "Absinthe Lemonade" was meh. The truffle fries were good - fresh and crispy. Atmosphere was laidback with the week night working professionals crowd, cozy with a fireplace and a ton of taxidermy décor all around. “We have a rule when we're on vacation, we don't eat anywhere that we can get at home. So, no fast foods or chain restaurants. I found this place on Yelp, and it was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. My husband is Puerto Rican and makes pretty good mofongo, but this was better than his (sorry babe!). I have not ever had Puerto Rican food this good or this authentic outside of my in-laws house or when we were actually in Puerto Rico. We started with the Rican Sampler -- tostones (fried plantain), beef empanadas, beef alcapurria (plantain paste with ground beef, fried), and some fried chicken bites. All of it was delicious! For the main course, I had the chicken mofongo and my husband had the shrimp mofongo. Our son had 2 Chuletas con Arroz y Habichuelas (fried pork chops with beans and rice). Everything was amazing. The portions were huge (I had enough mofongo leftover to have it for lunch the next day). We are going to try to go back before we leave because I really want to try their Cuban sandwich!“

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt. My balcony allowed me to sit and watch a beautiful sunrise over the ocean. The room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was super clean. Breakfast was from 7-10, plenty of time for a late riser to get down there and eat. Just step out of the back and your on the beach. Great scenery. “More than filling! We ate the Fried Chimichangas and the Guad-Especial, and both were more flavorful than I could believe. Often, at other Mexican restaurants, the filling is bland and food relies on the topping--NOT HERE! Seasoned chicken and beef in both my Chimis, and the Guad-special was just as delicious. Also had a Chili relleno that was amply stuffed and just as tasty as everything else. Fast service and a friendly staff, and the decor was nice, with roomy booths and typical Tex-Mex decor (though not too much, so not tacky!) We will definitely add El Portillo to our list of favorites. Looking forward to more treats next visit!“

Plaintains were cooked perfectly, served piping hot and edges crystalized to the gods above. Accompanied by the best beans i've ever had in my life.Pause- Warning! Lol this review is turning into "all about the beans, babyyyy" cue the music!My loves, idk but these beans were made by the higher power himself. I'm thinking about going back again today just for the beans and plantains. I also ordered fajitas, they are served with two homemade corn tortillas. Who can't go wrong with fajitas?! I had the She crab soup for an appetizer and it was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised at how much jumbo lumps of crab were in the soup is very delicious. I got the chicken thigh and plantain special for the night and it was amazing and although I was very full I decided to try the creme brulee for dessert and I'm so glad that I did It was one of the best I've ever had. I will see you above and beyond service from Meredith and Hannah, they both made it an extremely pleasant experience and gave great suggestions.
