“Whenever we visit Brattleboro, we make sure we get to eat at Vegan AF at least once! This place is truly some of the best food, let alone vegan food in all of Southern Vermont.Everything on the menu is delicious, incredibly fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Truly, it doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, these meals are literally so good that it transcends all types of foods.Their drinks are also super unique and reasonably priced. The service is friendly, kind and efficient. Very queer friendly too. Literally, what more can you ask for?“

“We started at the oyster shucking bar and had the pleasure of interacting with Maddie, and we enjoyed a delicious craft cocktail. Then we moved to the dining area for our reservation. We ordered gnocchi and mushroom fettuccine, both incredible. The table bread with olive oil soaked sun dried tomato was superb. We also ordered truffle mashed potatoes and a chocolate mousse to-go! The bartender was very knowledgeable and eloquently recited the many detailed specials with ease. Very friendly, cozy, and innovative environment. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: They can accommodate and have vegetarian/vegan optionsWheelchair accessibility: Door with ramp entrance to left side of building“
“What an amazing experience! My family and I visited the gallery and learned about the powerful, humorous and moving art directly from Cai and Adam. While we were there, we also took advantage of the opportunity to order a delicious lunch of dumplings, spring rolls, buns and scallion pancakes. A terrific way to spend an afternoon in Brattleboro. We look forward to visiting, again! Thank you!“

“This is the best dining experience I've had in ages. First, the chef deserves a Michelin star or two. I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants that don't compare to this one in terms of food. Second, an intimate atmosphere and an open kitchen where you can watch the craftsmanship of the chef make it really unique. The restaurant is worth traveling for.“
“Music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air! Berets! Mocha Joe's feels and smells like the real coffee shop deal, without the cigarette smoke! What brews! What a brew crew! Pyre and Emma are usually the two when I pop in. Good times! Cool cats!“

“After an exhilarating yet exhausting hike on a damp spring morning, there was no greater delight than wandering through the rustic streets of downtown Brattleboro and ducking into this artsy little cafe. I had Italian tomato soup, a delicious slice of French sourdough bread to soak up the soup, and a whimsically sweet snickerdoodle. The soup warms and re-energizes the weary spirit, and the views of the river are quite astounding. If you want a pure example of the essence that makes Brattleboro so captivating and bucolic, come here.“

“This was my go-to place when I lived in Brattleboro, and I miss it so much now that I live far away! There's such a range of menu items, you'll always find something to satisfy your taste buds. Pizza was my favorite comfort food item. Falafel salad was a close 2nd. Vegan frittata and hot cakes are also delicious! They make the best vegan + gluten-free bread I have tasted anywhere, ever. Also--stock up on desserts & baked goods while you're here! It's so rare to find a restaurant that serves delicious, clean food with conscience. Superfresh is definitely a gem!!Dietary restrictions: If you need to avoid gluten, nuts, soy, eggs, or dairy...this is the place for you!! (Some menu items contain nuts, but they are kept separate from other items.)“

“Beautiful restaurant, fun and helpful staff. Excellent gyoza.Dining companion said htis sweet and sour chicken was the best he'd ever had. My sushi roll was beautifully ppresented, but please oh please disclose on the menu ALL the ingredients. Mine had lettuce (ugh) and spicy mayo (which I heartily dislike) -- neither of which were mentioned on the menu. My hand roll sushi was very good though and very fresh.“

“If you're looking for fast, try a drive-thru. If you're looking for a decent breakfast place, this is it. We bring two of our three young grandchildren here, and they let us order family style to split up amongst all of us. (Two adult full orders, extra plates, extra drinks.) They have activity/coloring books and a small assortment of toys to keep the kids entertained. They kept my husband's coffee cup full and even offered me more hot water for my tea. The pancakes are huge and the eggs are fresh, they offer quite an assortment of meats with their country breakfast and allow substitutions. Excellent portions, we always end up not being able to finish everything. The home fries are standard fare, I prefer mine with onion, but often forget to ask. Staff are friendly and the bathroom is clean. Quirky tablecloths complete the somewhat lacking direction of the decor. Kids love to go there and aside from our ever-shrinking pocketbook, we love going too. (Prices are affordable.)“

“So pleased with my Lunch here today! The restaurant is situated within a historical building which lends a warm and artistic flair to the atmosphere. Large room to the left of the bar for groups/events or more intimate dining. Wait staff was polite and knowledgeable. My lunch was incredibly savory and fresh. Prices are reasonable. This will truly be one of my go to restaurants in the area.Vegetarian options: Gluten free options“

“Rating this place mostly on the food, I have to give it 5 stars. The atmosphere may be lacking, but finding sushi anywhere near this quality is difficult in New England. I am very particular about sushi and have tried dozens of restaurants in NH and Mass as well as while traveling to Japan, and I must say this place is in my top five experiences in New England.“

“The Works is a cute coffee shop to stop by for a quick bite to eat. The coffee is okay, but they have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and bowls - including many vegetarian and vegan options. It's also a great place to get some work done and has a lot of tables that aren't usually too crowded.“

“Best falafel pita in all of New England, without a doubt. They simply use best best components: fresh baked pita, freshly fried falafel (properly crisp), and house made hummus with lovely tahina. I feel instant nostalgia eating this food. Don't miss their other dishes and treats! They have good coffee, desserts, soups, and holiday specialties. They even carry Nesher craft beer. Please note, they are often closed due to holidays such as Passover. They are currently closed and will reopen May 2nd. You can still find their hummus in stores, though.Vegetarian options: Entirely vegetarian and almost completely dairy free establishment!“
