“My Fiancé and I had our first experience at Hen of the Wood in Burlington, what an incredible time we had! We just got engaged and had to celebrate. I decided to get the pork loin, and it was delicious! My fiancé loved his steak. It was perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. the atmosphere was casual yet somewhat formal and we had a blast! Can't forget about how scrumptious those rolls were too! Definitely recommend !!”
“Disappointed. The food was mediocre and a little pricey. Husband and son had the steak burger which was small and not very well seasoned. Wait staff was very nice. Ambiance is pleasant.”
“Every bite was amazing taste experience! We are do happy to have this restaurant in our neighborhood!”
“Unbelievably fantastic. Nice room and lighting. Staff were all so friendly, thoughtful and good. Food was amazing. Especially the harissa wings, kale salad and hummus. Better than can even imagine. Great use of spices and inventive dishes. I hope to get back to Burlington just to go back. You must go.”
“Service was perfect amount of friendly/professional. The building updates, soft lighting, and openness of the restaurant was great. The food - ridiculous. I saw cabbage on the menu in two spots, I knew I had to try one. I got the side with garlic sauce - it was transformed into something else entirely. It should be illegal what happens to cabbage here! Over all - a wonderful and refreshingly surprising adventure with taste, texture and flavor combos. I will be back!”

“The pizza was absolutely delicious, especially the Mais! And the dough was to die for. We also got the beet and avocado salad, which was fresh and tasty. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!”

“Just stopped in here for a solo lunch and am speechless. The food was beyond outstanding; only outweighed by the cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I had the half-half lunch special with a crisp glass of Pinot Grigio. 10 out of 10 recommend!!”
“Absolutely a must. If you are looking for a sweet little spot for fantastic comfort food, this is it. The people are so amazing and kind, they help me despite my health/dietary restrictions, this is a breakfast I get excited for. The food is so good, fresh, and the french toast is out-of-this-world fluffy. Looking for a meal made with love, look no further.”

“Finding an authentic French Bistro in Burlington was not on my bingo card, but so very glad we did. Every course overdid the previous one. On the pricey side obviously, but you can’t emulate a proper french recipe with sub-par ingredients and in 15 minutes. If you want authentic French cuisine, you’d be hard pressed to find better, even in France.”

“WOW!! All the food was absolutely amazing. I’m dairy free, my husband is not. Because of this, we normally don’t share dishes. Tonight we got only vegan/dairy free dishes and we were both blown away. The hummus, sweet potato, and seared cabbage were highlights. Will definitely be back. Can’t recommend enough. Make a reservation”
“Had an amazing afternoon at the tasting room! Both bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and personable, guiding me through the tasting and helping me choose a few drinks. I ended up leaving with a great selection of Mad River products. If you're a bourbon or rum enthusiast visiting the Burlington area, this spot is a must-visit!”
“This is my favorite restaurant in Burlington. The food, service, and atmosphere are all fantastic. It's casually elegant without being shishi. It's got a grotto-like atmosphere with string lighting that is perfect for a cozy evening. The food is fresh and changes seasonally.”
“Great night out with my sons! (11 and 12) The atmosphere is great. We were in the lounge area and just had to walk to the counter to order and everything was brought to our table. They have a bunch of board games to play, and then after dinner we played a little in the game room.”
“food was amazing, and the server was friendly very kind person. Definitely recommend Sherpa Kitchen!”

“I went there with my gf as a camping trip and a birthday trip. Kerry's awesome, her staff is awesome and the place was filled with games. Food was good too and staff was available for questions and was really kind. I couldn't recommend enough this place if you ever visit Burlington, VT.”
“If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a warm hug with really good beer, Queen City Brewery is it. Cozy, welcoming, and full of character, this place makes you want to linger—one sip turns into two, and suddenly you’re planning your next visit. The beer is thoughtfully crafted, the vibe is effortlessly friendly, and it feels like a true neighborhood gem in Burlington. Come for the beer, stay for the smiles… and probably another round. 🍺✨”

“Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Sandwich : The tomato soup was comforting and well-balanced, with a smooth texture and good acidity. It paired nicely with the grilled cheese, which was crisp on the outside and adequately melted inside. Overall, this was a satisfying and familiar lunch option.
Cold Sandwich with Tofu : The tofu sandwich was light and fresh, suitable for a plant-based option. The tofu itself could benefit from stronger seasoning or a more flavorful marinade to elevate the overall taste. Adding a contrasting sauce or pickled element may improve depth and balance.
Lunch offerings were simple and wholesome. With slight enhancements to seasoning and flavor complexity—especially for vegetarian items—the menu could feel more distinctive and memorable”
“My spouse and I order meals from Belleville Bakery at least twice a month. Shelley’s meals, including sandwiches, are unique and delicious, full of flavor. Her pastries and baked goods are exceptional. Sooooooo yummy! A few months ago, Shelley started offering Saturday brunch at the bakery: “bring friends and meet new people.” I’ve been curious about the brunch since its inception, so when Shelley announced a brunch in late September, I decided I’d celebrate my 76th birthday at Belleville. I was lucky enough to snag all ten reservations. I, my spouse, and eight of my very good friends enjoyed a glorious brunch at Belleville Bakery. We loved every bite of every dish on the brunch menu—not one flaw. Shelley is a superb chef and baker. She’s gracious and welcoming. We felt comfortable and at home. Thank you, Shelley, for one of the best birthday celebrations EVER! My birthday cake was beautiful. We had a wonderful morning. Thanks so much, Shelley and staff, for a memorable meal and morning. You’re the BEST!”
“I love this local restaurant! Great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Fries are crispy and tasty. Drinks are always well made by the super friendly bartender. And they also do a great weekend brunch.”

“Wow! We've been loyal Tiny Thai customers for years, but decided to try Suvi's because it's so much closer. The rice is fluffy, the vegetables are cooked perfectly. Very fresh tasting. Love the yellow curry dish, the stir fried chicken with cashews and pad thai are sooo good. And the spring rolls and crab ragoon are just lightly fried. Deelish. Husband wife team are super nice. New favorite place for take out.”
“We have been to many of the regular Burlington breakfast spots up Pine, down Church and back on Shelburne. I just had the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had outside of my kitchen. It may seem simple, but getting it just right with a freshly fried
super tasty egg (yes, a good fresh egg has a taste), crispy bacon, real cheese, and for my choice, a fresh bagel all just right is joy. The friendliness and industrious staff too it off. This is a special place.”
“Had a lot of fun here on our honeymoon in 2015. Highly recommend!”
“We went the day after Thanksgiving (I know I’m slow to post) and it was packed. Plenty of take out orders and others waiting for somewhat limited seating. Good sign when a restaurant is packed! It has a good vibe with nice decor and murals. For myself, with food allergies, I was impressed that they were able to accommodate my gluten intolerance and other food issues. I’m quite picky and I loved the food. I had the chicken, sorry I don’t remember the name of it. Staff is all friendly and helpful, and the owner came by personally to make sure we were being well served. We will definitely eat there again and bring our friends with us each time we return to visit the area. Go early or be prepared to wait for seating or take it to go. I had to be a tourist and get a Wise Fool tshirt. Definite A+ from this picky food snob! My son bought so I don’t know what was spent.”
“I’ve been to EB Strongs a number of time and the food is always good. But I will say the reason I’m leaving a review tonight is the service was especially great. I just decided to to sit at the bar tonight and the bartenders Renee and James were great!”
“We had bluebird cater our wedding this past Saturday and it was perfect and delicious l!”
“I was really impressed. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Drinks came quickly. Great chips for salsa and queso. Large drink selection including some local beers. The food was fantastic. You can’t go wrong with the wet burrito”
“The food, wine, latte, and cannoli were fabulous! Lexi provided exceptional service — her menu suggestions and insights were spot on. We’ll definitely be back!”
“Some great cider options including several non-alcoholic options and everything between very dry and sweet. Over a dozen cider styles. Our favorites were the Juicy Hazy and the Unified. The fried cheese curds were exceptional and made from local Vermont cheese.”

“We have been coming here since 1986 when it was a tiny spot that let us teenagers sit and drink coffee all day. They are one of Burlington’s oldest and most loved restaurants, known for their early bird Bistro dinner that serves French classics like Beef Bourgignon, Steak Frites and even gluten free Cavatappi Carbonara. Tonight it was snowing hard and the restaurant was still full and the service was terrific. It’s our go-to place for the last 35 years and I’m grateful they are still around.”
“I’ve never craved a specific dish that is worth writing a review on but you have to understand. Burlington VT is about 2 hours away from me but when I’m desperate, I am willing to make the drive JUST for a bowl of chicken shoyu and gyoza dumplings with lemon water. The lemon water has the perfect ice to water ratio with the perfectly sliced lemon wedge on the edge of the cup. The gyoza dumplings? It’s ALWAYS at the perfect temperature and the dipping sauce? It’s amazing I don’t even know what it is but I could drink it, it’s that good. Let me write you an essay on the chicken shoyu ramen dish.. for starters the bowl is huge, I find the portion to be well worth the money. There’s the perfect amount of broth to complement the noodles very nicely. The toppings? It’s placed on top to perfection, I always ask for extra mushrooms, corn and I always ask to make it spicy because what’s a good bowl of ramen if your nose isn’t running? I absolutely love mixing the egg in the soup and chewing on the onion and just enjoying everything I’m inhaling. This place is 10000%% a hidden gem and I’m so thankful this girl at the mall recommended this place to me when I asked if there was any good spots to eat at. This IS the spot, this is the place you want to be at. This place is worth the drive from NY!! coming from someone who’s afraid of driving in their 2WRD car especially in the winter. The minute I have my days off you know where to find me because it’s been a long awaited 6 months without my bowl of ramen and the cravings are driving me insane enough to write a review. Please just try it out if you are considering this place, it’s so worth it!! You’ll soon catch yourself writing a review explaining how much you love this place like me🤗”
“Small and cozy bistro leaning French but also has some Italian leaning dishes and even a vegetarian African stew. Lots of options. 5+ starts for the onion soup. My husband has tried onion soup around the country for 30 years and declared this emphatically the best he has ever had. Steak frites cooked to perfection with delicious red wine demi and crispy fries. Definitely worth a trip. I'd advise a reservation they are almost always full but also do take walk ins. Right on church street so you can do a little shopping before or after your delicious meal.”
“Fish and chips here is delicious and huge portions. Big filet of fish, lightly battered, you couldn't beat it in many other places. Their fries are also pretty great. Had a Caesar salad as replacement too which was tasty. The server was super chill. He gave some suggestions/advice on what food to get which was helpful.”

“I'm so happy this place opened. All of the dishes we have tried are excellent. Currently fixated on the samosa, and samosa chaat, the veggie pakora, and chicken chow mein, but they've got an impressive variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries too. Everything is super flavorful. Excellent prices, convenient parking, and a friendly staff make it a no brain'er. Do your taste buds a favor and go get some of the best Nepalese food ever.”
“The flatbread pizza and the capicola sandwich was a flavor and texture experience you're going to have to try for yourself to understand. Fresh ingredients, attention to details, lots of flavor and love which was relished with every bite! If you are looking for high quality delicatessan meats, fresh homemade crispy breads and creamy burrata you are going to love it here! Sadly, I forgot to take a photo of the most amazing Tiramisu, which was out of this world delicious! Also where else in Burlington can you enjoy your meal on an incredibly comfortable couch?”

“Super sweet and friendly staff at the counter. I was really excited to try the cremee, but honestly, it didn’t taste much different from a good IKEA soft serve. It’s still tasty! Just maybe not worth making a special trip in the winter if you don’t already live nearby.”
“Stopped in today with a delivery, and Ana hooked me up with my first latte! And OMG was it amazing! When she offered a drink, I said absolutely! I asked for light, sweet and strong! She whipped up an iced maple latte that was literally the best iced drink I’ve EVER had!”
“Me and my friends doordashed tonight and they were out of what we ordered and we placed it right before close so they just gave us a bunch of random stuff and when we opened that box we truly felt like we were the blessed chosen ones.
