Outstanding food—texas style BBQ prepared on site in their specialty smoker, weekly specials that will blow your mind, vegetarian options, unique and comfortable ambiance that changes through the seasons, great indoor and breathtaking outdoor space, outdoor heaters and in the right circumstances the fire pit might be lit, weekly+ bands, monthly paint and sips, open mic nights, craft fairs through the summer, trivia every 3rd Thursday, and a very mellow place to enjoy a pint or two when there’s not an event. Friendly staff that’ll make you feel right at home and make it hard to not say “just one more.” If you’re driving through Gorst it’s the best kept ‘secret’ right off of HW 3. I’d give 10 stars if I could.”

“My husband and I dined at The Boat Shed last night for the first time. We almost left because we couldn’t find a parking space. I’m so glad we didn’t. We were seated by the sweetest hostess and taken to our table right by the water. We were quickly greeted by our server, Jerri. She couldn’t have been more helpful and personable. She explained the specials and gave us her recommendations. We ordered the Parmesan baked mushrooms-yum! We shared the crab cobb and scallops which were both delicious! For dessert we shared the blackberry crisp. Each bite was excellent and we were so pleased with our dinner. Regardless of the great food and restaurant, our server, Jerri, made our experience exceptional! What a special treat! We will return and ask for her. Thank you Jerri!”

“First, ignore the comments about the menu. They have plenty of authentic dishes and options for those who want variety. We had a burrito esencia and it was delicious. It had more flavor than most of the Mexican restaurants in the area. The burrito sauce was very good and their homemade chips were excellent, super crunchy, fresh and hot. We chose beef and it was a high quality ground beef, flavorful and not the cheap stuff so many use. The veggies were fresh and the guacamole had good flavor. I hope they work on their outside lighting and atmosphere, but honestly the food was great and that’s what really matters. The burrito was so large, my wife and I split it and still took home enough for another meal.”

“I tried to order from this location online but my password wasn’t working so I drove to the location and placed my order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got my pizza in the timeframe that they told me and I also got to watch the make it so that was a plus. I recommend this pizza shop to anyone who wants a great experience getting their pizza.”

They are also one of the few locations that my partner can get vegetarian broth (that isn't bland, either). Service is excellent, clean and inviting atmosphere. Very happy to have this spot in town! Vegetarian options: Veggie pho that is actually vegetarian. A lot of places in this area seem to use chicken broth as the base for their “vegetarian” pho.”

To add a small grilled chicken breast to a small side salad it was going be an additional $5.50. Side salad is about $7.50. So nearly $15 for side salad. Then recommended gut bomb after gut bomb. lame. Bleh. just frustrated. I would have ordered the kids meal and a shake so they still would have made money. Instead I ordered nothing. I drank some water, sat in a booth with friends, and will eat at home.”
