“From the moment I stepped inside Side Hustle Taproom, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance exuded warmth and conviviality, with a delightful mix of rustic decor and modern touches. The cozy seating arrangements invited conversations among fellow beer and cider lovers, creating an instant sense of camaraderie that permeated throughout the taproom.“
“An unforgettable dining experience at this restaurant! Madison, our waitress, was exceptional—friendly, professional, and ensured our experience was perfect. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was spectacular. Can't wait to return“
“Savage Brewing offers an enticing blend of exceptional brews and delectable sausages on sticks. With a cozy ambiance and a friendly staff, it's the perfect spot for beer enthusiasts and foodies alike. Each sip reveals the craftsmanship behind their flavors, making it a must-visit for any local beer connoisseur.“
“Didn’t know it was food truck but didn’t matter as the food was very flavorful and tasty. Its pretty big portion and the price is reasonable. The owner is very nice and friendly. There’s outdoor seating as well as a comfy indoor seating inside a shed like structure next to the truck.“
“Bobae is one of my go-to spots, especially when the sun is out. It's a quick walk from the waterfront. While it can be busy, there are times when I get to have a chat with the baristas. Alexis is pretty chill. We often talk about music.“
“The food is just delicious!! Very Good quality ingredient by far one of the best meat I ever tested. Recommend chicken sandwich and class burger. The shawarma was ok (I did not like too much the spices in the sauce but the chicken was very good)Only one improvement I wish was made is to increase the fries’ quality otherwise you will still be a bit hungry hahaThe restaurent is super clean! The staff are very nice too.Inside there’s only 2 small tables a bit crowded but during cold weather it’s very good to have.“
“This has been on my list to visit for years but never made it! Big mistake as the food is fantastic!!Parking: Small parking lot and surrounding neighborhoodPet friendly: UnknownFamily friendly: YesFOOD:1. Garlic Bread (House focaccia, garlic confit, seeds, parmesan. Served with olive oil and balsamic) $12.00: 3 Star – I really wanted to love this bread as its different that make them unique to DERU. The garlic confit is very tasty but I think they had TOO much seeds that it covered a lot of the taste. I love focaccia but I don’t think it’s the right “bread type” for garlic bread. Focaccia is this heavenly squishy cloud bread but I want my garlic bread to have a crusty crisp exterior but super soft interior for the textural difference.2. Roast Beef Sandwich – Full (House herb focaccia, house herb crusted roast beef, gruyere, arugula, bacon onion jam, celery root aioli and house herb aioli) $18.00: 4 Star – See a focaccia is perfect for a sandwich bread! This was a tasty sandwich BUT it looked and tasted similar to the Chicken sandwich. The only difference was the protein.3. Roasted Chicken and Goat Cheese Sandwich – Full (House herb focaccia, roasted herb marinade chicken, goat cheese spread, house red onion marmalade, arugula, house herb aioli) $17.50: 4 Star - bread bread bread! I had to say that because I what else can you say about a good focaccia sandwich bread ?. I still stand by the fact that visually and even taste, it was very similar to the roast beef. Too light on the goat cheese as you couldn’t really tell it was there.4. Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting – slice $12.00: 5-Stars - OMG this carrot cake was so delicious! The only other time I’ve had an amazing life changing carrot cake was at DW Bistro in Las Vegas (yes it was life changing because until that point I did not like carrot cake). The texture was so moist and the perfect denseness (real words). The frosting was just sweet enough that it paired so well with the cake. ::Chef Kiss::DRINKS:Salted Caramel Latte (Espresso with steamed Milk and DERU Salted Caramel Sauce) $6.00: 4 Stars - first sip, I thought it was tasted like super water down coffee but I took my friend’s advice and just do a slight stir even though it’ll ruin the latte art. The perfect kiss of Salted Caramel Latte to the must needed caffeine, even more so as I went on a breezy day and decided to sit outside.MENU/RESTAURANT:I love their menu! Its very bistro style and you can tell it’s a place that serves local, clean, simple ingredients in the most fabulous way.For some reason, I have no idea why I thought this restaurant was in DT Kirkland. Its not far but as I drove, I thought my GPS was misdirecting me. To my surprise I found myself in a neighborhood with a small restaurant. There is small indoor and small outdoor seating which explains why its first come first serve. To be honest, this is really one of the reasons why I haven’t gone due to the lack of ability to make reservation.SERVICE:This is really a 3 part review…1. The in person staff is super friendly and will constantly check on us.2. You can order remotely via the QR code at the table OR you can go to the front and order directly. We originally thought to use the QR code since it seemed easier but when it came to ordering a slice of carrot cake it wasn’t even an option. I had to go to the front anyway and was told that oh for the carrot cake you need to come to us… why bother with the app than..?3. Their remote waitlist - I actually tried to go back for a 2nd visit but when I joined their remote waitlist for a party of 7, it told me it was 225 minutes which made us go somewhere else and lo and behold an hour later I got a text saying my table was ready… seriously…“
“I really love this place. The staff are really nice and just the place itself is really nice. There is usually music and games that you can play while drinking your drink. Sometimes the drinks take a while to get because there are a lot of other people but it is worth it!“
“60YOWM - This brewery has GREAT BEER!! Don't pass it up! It's best in warm weather because you can sit outside, but winter is fun, too. Bring a small blanket. ? Come here! Drink beer! Don't let them fade away!!! I've enjoyed 4 styles of their beer. All have been terrific!!! This brewery is a keeper!!!“
“Used a Groupon at this location tonight and my husband and I had a great time! Groupon included a drink for each of us, round of mini golf, and take home glasses. Very friendly, helpful, and clear staff! Mini golf was fun. We ordered a pizza which was average but we didn't come for the food. Overall we had a good time and the customer service was excellent so we wanted to leave a review for that reason alone!“
“This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend keeps getting donuts from this place. I brought some to my job & they were a major hit! Their donuts remind me of the ones you buy at Universal Studios. So soft & perfect with different toppings.“
“Today was icy cold. The kind of day where you just don't want to get out of bed. I didn't know what I wanted to do with the rest of my day but for some reason I knew I needed a breakfast burrito. Not just any breakfast burrito. It needed to be an epic breakfast burrito. The kind of breakfast burrito that leaves you warm and satisfied for the rest of the day. The kind of breakfast burrito that fights off the chill of a frigid winter. So I googled the best breakfast burrito in Kirkland and this taco truck came up.I have to say it was the perfect scratch to an annoying itch. This breakfast burrito was epic. It was the kind of breakfast burrito that you dream of. As you can tell, I've clearly eaten my share of breakfast burritos and this one put most of them to shame. And for $10? You've got to be kidding me.Unfortunately I ate it so fast that I don't have a picture to post but trust me when I say you can't go wrong.“
“A must try Thai restaurant!! Went on a Sunday lunch without reservations but could get a table immediately. I ordered their Prawn acacia leaf omlet soup and seafood custard curry with rice. The soup was extremely unique and delicious. Seafood was top notch too.The food presentation was amazing and portion size was perfect for two. It’s located right on the Kirkland waterfront so parking might take a while.Overall highly recommended!!!“
“I just had a superb original milk tea with cheese foam! The brown sugar pearls are cooked just right and are tender but not slimy. the original milk tea is great, light and malty without being sharp or bitter. The cheese foam knocked my socks off - elevated a high quality snack drink to a rich dessert!Staff was very patient with my bewildered curiosity about cheese foam and helped me pick a drink I am very happy with.“
“First off, the atmosphere is on point. I like how it’s unapologetically the owner’s style and not just bland cafe style. We got the Royal milk tea and the green tea with fresh milk. Both were very good, strong tea flavor, not too sweet. The green tea was refreshing. The egg tarts were also very good. A light dusting of cinnamon on top, super flaky and crispy crust.I’ll be stopping by every time I’m in the area for sure.“
“This place is awesome and their Boba is good! What makes them special is that they have delicious waffles with special dips, different kinds of drink options than usual Boba places and a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. My favorite is the fresh milk Ube tea with taro! So delicious and a little on the sweeter side. Their regular Boba milk tea tastes like it was freshly brewed. Very delicious. The waffles are both chewy and crunchy and very satisfying. Give them a try for dessert or a snack one day!“
“This place has good coffee, friendly staff, and dog treats for puppies. I go there whenever I need to grab breakfast because their sandwiches are incredible. I usually get the one with the garlic aioli, or the turkey bacon croissant is delicious unheated if you really need something fast“
“Food is Okay, with fair price. Service is great. Friendly. Very big place. A lot of tables to chat or work on your own stuff. But the music can be a bit too loud if you are looking for a more mellow place to chill. Hard to park. But that applied to all nearby stores.“
“Great hidden gem!!! Ice cream was amazing and staff were friendly. Had Chocolate Chip Mint and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Bother we're excellent!! Here on vacation and second time we have been here. Will be back every time we're are here!!“
“Stopped for coffee ☕️ & pastries before getting on boat. The place is very relaxing. Lots of great menu choices and staff is helpful. They do have a public restroom too, which was appreciated.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly choices.Parking: Ample parking nearby“
“Chainline Brewery is our favorite brewery! Bright and airy open space with plenty of seating, both inside and out! Their service is friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. For a brewery, I find their food options pretty ample, but if it's not for you, they do allow outside food. Dog and kid friendly, the whole family can join! And their beer is phenomenal!“
“I go here for the salads. They make some of the healthiest & most delicious salads you can get at a take out restaurant.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Plenty of options for those on vegan, Paleo, keto, or some of the strict 'dieters'“
“This month, I come here almost every day in the late afternoon, I really liked it here, I like it when a husband and wife cook, they do it very quickly and deliciously, I'm already here as a regular customer, I order from them earlier and they greet us with a smile, thank you very much, Mary and Juan.“
“Wonderful stay experience, especially for the more than reasonable price! My wife and I love it here. It’s great for a short getaway. It’s so quiet and comfortable in the room, but you can go out and enjoy all the food and treats and waterfront right outside the front door! Lovely. Will return again and again.Book on Expedia with Gold Tier rewards and you even get free valet parking and a free room upgrade!“
“After searching all the Starbucks in the northern half of the Eastside, this has become my go-to place to spend a few hours on my laptop. Roomy, fireplace, warm atmosphere, and electrical outlets under all the benches lining the walls, even the big table by the fireplace.Other pros:-Staff is always friendly and although sometimes understaffed (who isn't nowadays?) it has never been a problem.-No drive-through! Starbucks corporation relented to the profit-gods some time ago and every new store has a drive through now; frantic head-set-wearing staff lessen a relaxed coffee-house experience.-Never had a problem getting a drink remade if I thought there was something iffy (even me whining 'it tastes weak for some reason' lol)Cons: (about this store in particular)-The temps are always a challenge here: too icy AC in the summer and in the winter a cold-draft down your back at the window benches Also, for laptop uses, you are usually sitting with your laptop facing the window behind you so reflections are a problem during daylight hours.-On Weds the local schools let out early so it can be a noisy crowd of kids in the early afternoon. Avoid if you want a quieter coffee-house experience.-Parking can be tight but lots of room right next door if you can handle walking 50'. If you are not elderly or handicapped and this is your biggest complaint then I think you are doing pretty well!Overall my favorite place in the Eastside of Totem Lake area!“
“Jenna and Jennifer on Tuesday $1 wing night are the ultimate service providers! Constantly bringing us a full glass of beer when we are running low, remembering our order and our names, has made for the consistent great service. Tony's wings are the best in town, thick wings with lots of meat and homemade sauce is spectacular! The medium sauce is hotter than a franks red hot sauce and we get it every time! Until next week gals!“
“This is one of the best coffee place. I usually take iced white chocolate americano with no cream. It’s a bit on the sweeter side but definitely worth it.I would also recommend Fusion Mocha and Blonde Hawaiian. If you like caramel then Caramel Silk is a good option too.PS- If you could find Alexis, definitely ask her for the iced white chocolate Americano.“
“It was a cold and rainy day. We drove to joes because of the gluten feee options.I was very surprised to find a take out window with some covered patio tables. No problem. I ordered the chili cheese burger for the occasion. The chili was very tasty on the burger. I liked the construction of the burger. My wife liked the gluten free bun option and the gluten free tater tots.We were both very happy and will visit again.“
“Great ambience and staff. Nice and tasty food with good portion size. Parking is plenty and common. For us, google maps showed wrong location. This place is behind the Whole Foods. They use compostable bamboo made containers for to go. That was very cool.Vegetarian options: Menu is all veganDietary restrictions: This is a Vegan or Plant Based food place.“
“Love their chocolate fudge icecream. They have new flavors every now and then to keep the menu fresh.Every item has clearly indicated allergen information and the staff is very helpful with any questions and tasting. The fire pit outside the store is an awesome spot to enjoy the ice cream on colder days.“
