“Cute little spot for dinner and drinks. If you ask the waiter, they will be able to suggest some menu options that can be made vegan, but only a few and only 1 entree (at least when I went). I got the vegan Hokkien noodle and it was okay. Very tomato saucy rather than a dry wok tossed noodle. Actually everything advertised as wok tossed (vegan and regular hokkien noodles, broccoli) were very wet. Our table joked that they must have put the food in the wok, but forgot to turn on the fire. I also got the Thai basil clam without pork sausage and it was AMAZING. Super flavorful. I slurped every shell and maybe a bit of the bowl. They also had a vegan coconut tapioca with pandan sorbet and it was unique and very delicious, I was pleasantly surprised by that one! Drinks were interesting sounding, but had that cheap alcohol taste to me or somehow the proportions of ingredients just didn’t end up tasting that good. We ordered 6 drinks and didn’t love any of them.“
“Unique restaurant with experimental menu. Had the mackarel as entree and bone marrow as appetizer. Both dishes were very different takes on those ingredients and were very tasty. The decor and ambienece was classy yet relaxing. And the staff were courteous and helpful. Overall, great find!“
“Delicious rolls and noodles! 12th Ave roll and the yakisoba noodles were amazing and definitely a favorite from our group. The noodles were spicy and very flavorful. The 12th Ave roll was delicious with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. We also ordered the Madison roll but weren’t huge fans of it. Other things we ordered were the miso soup, rainbow roll, and the crunchy cali roll. Service was great and the food came out fast. We also ordered the jasmine tea and hibiscus berry tea. The center garden area in the restaurant is beautiful and the overall ambiance is very calm and inviting. Overall a great dinner!“
“My partner chose Stateside for his birthday dinner, and it was all around an excellent experience! Ambiance is modern, clean, and not stuffy at all. You'd feel just as comfortable in athleisure as you would in dressy cocktail attire here. Staff was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable, and paced the meal perfectly. We started out with a cocktail each--I can't recall the names as their website cocktail menu does not match what we saw, but my partner had a mule with lime leaf and galangal that was absolutely spectacular. The lime leaf and galangal made my palate SING and it was hands down the best iteration of a mule we've ever had. Now the most important part: FOOD. CRISPY DUCK FRESH ROLLS | Y'all weren't playing, this was the GOAT, and by far our favorite dish. It was texturally perfect, and I do not throw that description around lightly. The crispness of the spring roll inside a fresh roll!? Absolutely genius. I will say that my Korean American palate registered the seasoning on this as just barely teetering on a tiny bit oversalted side (esp with the accompanying dipping sauce), but the texture was so divine that I really can't dock it. STICKY RICE DUMPLINGS | A deconstructed dumpling, really. The rice dumpling on its own would have been nothing to write home about, but the combination of everything (ethereally fluffy dungeness crab! earthy maitake! perfectly cooked taro!) with the broth made it all work so well, especially texturally. The broth was basically buttery liquid gold. MASTER STOCK CRISPY CHICKEN | This was perfectly good chicken, but I can't say it was that memorable as a whole. We ordered a side of the brussel sprouts which were delicious (again, texture was on point with the rice cracker pieces) as well as the ginger rice to go along with this, and I have to say the brussel sprouts were far more memorable. Superb texture really seemed to be the central theme of our dinner, so while I'd really recommend Stateside to everyone, I'd ESPECIALLY recommend it for those who have an extra appreciation for textural masterpieces.“
“Great asian food, as tasty as food in Korea and with a Japanese twist. We got the Spicy Chicken Bibimbap, the Bento platter with Spicy Tofu, Beef Bulgogi Kimbap, and americano and a tea. It is on the pricier side, we paid around $90 after tip. All were delicious, we especially liked the Bibimbap and the miso soup that came with the Bento. Service was excellent, the staff seemed to take genuine delight in serving high quality, tasty food. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and bathrooms are clean.“
“I so Luvv their Food. It tastes like home cooking and some. I give it 4.9 because the drive back home was 2.5 hours due UW street repairs and accidents and etc. Plan wisely when ya kome eat their great food it's way worth it off top. Thank you @AngkorWok great food.“
“This restaurant is a true chefs creative space. The service was amazing, authentic and not too smothering. The food is incredible and well thought out. One of the best burgers I’ve had in Seattle. I love the vegan options. I was expecting a little more flavor from the curry but I still enjoyed it and had it the next day too. The chips on the plate were a perfect touch. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the guava lemonade, which is tasty. The space is vibrant and full of good energy. Although, I will say it’s a little cold in there. It was nice to see the chef/owner working (I met him once a couple years ago). It shows the passion that inspired the amazing dishes. Good people and good food. Highly recommend.“
“Really attentive service and a fun interactive meal. I had a lot of fun ordering meats, fish, tofu and veggies to cook in my spicy and bone broth. There’s a cute little robot that brings the food to your table and a sauce bar to create your own adventure of flavors.I really enjoyed my dinner here!“
“SERVICE: immediately met by friendly hellos and warm greetings. very nice throughout the whole ordering process and extremely helpful. FOOD: to start i ordered a taro boba tea and my boyfriend ordered a wintermelon tea with rainbow jelly. both drinks were really good, and the rainbow jelly was super tasty. the taro boba always slaps. i ordered a chicken pho with mushrooms and tofu; the broth was good and super flavorful. my partner got tonkotsu ramen, he said the broth was very savory, the pork was fatty and delicious, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. he wanted it a little spicier so he added chili oil to the broth which he said made it amazing! AMBIANCE: its a very cozy atmosphere and is a perfect place for students to come and grab a quick bite. PRICE: reasonably priced for seattle food. LOCATION: amazing location for seattleu students, its on the corner of a busy street with a decent amount of foot traffic and is easy to get to. GENERAL OPNION: we love this place, and we have been going to this place since 2022, the food has always been superb and the boba is always amazing. its a go to spot that we recommend to everyone who visits the area.“
“I am so happy that Coffee Tree & Bop moved into this space. Every other week I treat myself to breakfast, and I am never let down when CT&B is my choice. I have worked through all their breakfast sandwiches and my favorite is a toss-up between the Hawaiian and the classic Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I'm always greeted with a smile and quick service, and I really enjoy the offer of caramelized onions (it's always a yes from me).It is such a joy to have this wonderful establishment on my way to work!“
“We came here after taking our kids to the VR place across the way. The staff was friendly and took our order quickly. The menu has many options, it feels like there is something for everyone (littles included!). Note that if you order a burger, it does not come with fries, you have to order them separately. After we ordered, it took quite a bit for us to get the food and there wasn't many people who ordered before us, but it seemed as if they might've been a little short staffed in the kitchen. It was worth the wait. All 3 boys finished their meals and the side of fries we got them. The food was extremely flavorful and filling. We live pretty far away from this location, but I would drive the 1+ drive it takes to eat here again. I'll be interested to see where their food truck goes, hopefully it'll come down south sometimes so we can enjoy it.Parking: This is located within a shopping center so we found parking easily.Kid-friendliness: Their kids menu has good options in case you have a picky eater that wouldn't enjoy the flavors on the regular menu.“
“Huge props to Chef Johnny! Experience with him specifically was amazing and the food was tasty. Our favorite was the seared king salmon sashimi and unagi hand roll. Unfortunately the waitress we had must have been having a terrible day or something bc her attitude was terrible. The hostess we first spoke with was very nice and upbeat, and another waitress seemed normal, but our main assigned waitress just seemed annoyed and pissed off, and was not attentive or very nice so we felt better talking to other waitress than our own. I hope it was just a bad day and not how she is all the time because she really brought the vibe down compared to the rest of the staff and experience.“
“Sugo hand roll. Thank you for the experience. Waitstaff welcomed us and was really helpful when ordering. Ordered the salmon sashimi, scallop hand roll, salmon hand roll, and spicy tuna hand roll and they were all bursting with flavors. Chef Johnny- Thank you for the amazing hospitality. Your communication and professionalism really stood out and made my group of 5 feel really welcomed. Sugo will be a spot I recommend to anyone visiting and asking me for advice. Exceptional service and freshest of the fresh seafood. Don't forget the sake flight! Thanks Chef Johnny. You've raised the hand roll bar to a higher standard in my eyes.“
“Love this place! Seating is a little tight because it's so popular but their food is pretty good! Very affordable and always consistent with the taste and flavor. I would recommend but I don't want others to visit so I don't have to wait. lol“
“We went for the first time and the owner was so kind and helpful. The KFC is superb and incredibly crunchy even after taking the leftovers home. The two dips we got on the side were house sauce and soy garlic. Both were great flavor contrasts. The pickled daikon really helped cut the fat. The decorations were very modern. I appreciated the decoration. It was nice icing on the cake but the food and the owners genuinity are what really makes this place a top notch restaurant. She should be super proud of what she's done.“
“Great little shop with tasty noodles and other dishes. I highly recommend the Nine Way Noodles if you enjoy mala flavor (sichuan peppercorn). The dumplings and wontons in oil were also solid. Service was great and prices were cheap. If I had to identify one weakness, I'd say the noodles were oilier than I would have preferred, making the meal feel very heavy. However, it was all flavorful so I still give them 5 stars.“
“This was such a treat. My husband is heavily into Chinese cooking and particularly loves siuhchuan and I am gluten free and can never eat Chinese out with him. Not only were most dishes available gluten free but the food was phenomenal. In the top 3 best meals I've had in Seattle and we eat at a lot of restaurants. Highly recommend. Just don't do what I did and rub your eye after.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options.“
“Fantastic food! The Green Curry Chicken on Thursdays is a must-try. Their noodles are excellent, and the winter soups are great. I usually ask for extra vegetables, and when I forget, I add spice. The staff is always friendly, and take-out is a breeze. It's a very casual and affordable spot.“
“Ordered this on Uber Eats to have a quick bite at my hotel while in town. I was a little worried on how this would travel but was pleasantly surprised that it came hot and secure. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) bowl with sweet garlic chicken and added an over easy egg and a side of Napa kimchi (not my favorite). The chicken was super tasty but wish there was a little bit more in the bowl. It also came with spicy pickles (amazing!) and a creamy sesame sauce (YUM), which went perfectly.“
“Bamboo sushi is a staple for date nights and great place to enjoy both fresh sashimi snd prepared roles. We tell people to get the green machine and rainbow roles. The hoki poki box entree is amazing. The miso soup and the edamame are great starters. Last time we were in we tried the Chirashi bowl as well which was great. The service at the bar is really quick and although we haven’t indulged, I hear their cocktails are good as well.Vegetarian options: There are multiple tasty roles and other dishes served without meat or animal products.Dietary restrictions: They will ask at the beginning of the meal and they will accommodate as necessary.Parking: There are multiple free parking lots and parking garages in the area.Kid-friendliness: This is a kid friendly establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: University place and the surrounding restaurants are all wheelchair accessible.“
“Great food and ambience, super friendly staff. I wish the kitchen paid attention to specifics of the order, I specifically asked to not have a condiment on my dishes and all of it came with it. That said the food is high quality.Dietary restrictions: Be clear if you have dietary restrictions, double check your order on arrival.“
“Utterly incredible dining experience! The dishes are bursting with freshness and flavor. Consider your tastebuds tantalized!? The staff work hard to attend to every minor detail, even without request. The green papaya salad was light & refreshing—I would highly recommend it! ?“
“This is my boyfriend and I's new favorite Korean spot (and honestly a favorite restaurant in general) in Seattle! It's located in a really quiet and nice area of Madison Park. It's close enough to the water that you can walk a few blocks to digest after dinner, then hit a bar. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, we've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be sat at a table, even on a weekend night. The service is so sweet, attentive, and friendly. My boyfriend and I always order the tteokbokki (and add cheese) as an appetizer. The sauce isn't as thick as most tteokbokki dishes, but I actually prefer it the way Hanok does it . . . and the sauce is soooo good I wanna lick the plate. We also split an order of corn cheese which comes in this little sizzling cast iron skillet so the edges of the cheese get a little crispy, it's so good. I always get the spicy pork belly and dip it in the corn cheese. The meat entrees come with a little bowl of purple rice, miso soup, and a salad. At first I was bummed that there is no banchan, but honestly everything's so filling that I don't think I'd be able to stomach more side dishes anyway. My boyfriend always gets the sundubu which comes in a huge bowl and he always struggles to finish it. If you want to add a drink to your dinner, try the plum sake. We just discovered this place like last week and have already been here 3 times, it's so good. We're struggling to control our Hanok urges lol so it's a good thing it's a bit of a drive from our house or I'd go bankrupt. And honestly the prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food and quality you get (for west coast standards). Definitely put this on your must try list, it's a gem!“
“The inside is like mixing up between jazz vinyl and traditional Japanese restaurant theme. The light is quite dim, and the overall feeling is unique (or distracted?).I like the raw fishes they served. I would like to try pieces of sushi next time.Tempura is okay. Not that great but not that bad neither.Udon is pretty...different than usual flavor. It's more like seafood-ish which is from bonito broth according to their description. I didn't like that much personally.“
“Awesome plant based, vegetarian, vegan options amongst a menu loaded with delicious meat based "standard" fare. Pretty amazing cocktail menu as well. Attended a 12 person family dinner on a Sat night as the only vegan- everyone went home well fed and happy.Vegetarian options: For appetizer and main entree, I had at least 2 options to choose from as a vegan. Banh mi sandwiches, tofu noodles, kale & quinoa salad are some examples. I was satisfied with the number of options, their presentation, and most importantly, their taste.“
“I had the lunch special of Chili and Basil, the service was swift and very friendly, the food and atmosphere was equally enjoyable! It’s also quite fairly priced considering the location! I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, or even for catering! The noodles are a palette cleanser, so they’re meant to be a mild flavor, which does wonders for enjoying the meal to its fullest! I’ll be having my lunches here from now on! Thank you for the wonderful service Ti22!“
“The food and service were amazing. We took ours as carry out but it did not disappoint. It’s been years since I’ve tried this place but was incredibly happy with the quality, flavors and diverse menu. The charred beef was ?, incredibly flavorful and tender. The mochi chicken was different than I’m used to but it was still incredibly tasty. The flavor on everything was ?? , chefs kiss. I really enjoyed the pad Thai but my partner wasn’t as invested in that dish.Staff was polite, helpful and very friendly. As I picked up my order they asked if I needed any utensils or napkins, I declined but she very kindly and playfully invited me to check out their sauces. The vibe inside is chill and welcoming. We will definitely be back to try some other dishes in the future.“
“Stumbled upon this place while walking and being a tourist! What a cute and unique Thai restaurant. Their decor is unique and very instagram! Flowers all over the restaurant, teddy bears, lighting and all. Very modern but at the same time cozy….if that makes sense.Their drinks are definitely a piece of art and delicious just like their food. Pricy for a Thai spot- but it is Seattle.Highly recommended the chicken wings. It was super delicious and crispy! The pad thai definitely tasted authentic and not “American Thai” and they were generous with the prawns.I was slightly disappointed with the 1/2 duck. I wish it had more flavor and be served with so much bone.“
“Absolutely fantastic breakfast spot in Seattle! The food here is simply delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in the area. Can't wait to visit again!“
“The chicken teriyaki and the short rib teriyaki were as good as anywhere I've tried before. It's pretty affordable at around $10 for a "half" size, which is good for a respectably hearty snack before or after hitting the bars. I will definitely be back.“
“WOW! Love this venue! Dinner, drinks and a show? Yes, please! The lighting is so soft and subtle. Before coming here, I read the Yelp reviews and the main thing that I learned was that the service sort of sucks. So I was prepared for that. However, that was not the case at all! Excellent service! No complaints! My husband and I shared the beef satay and steak fries. I absolutely recommend them both!! I'm really looking forward to coming back!“
“So so delicious! The waitress there was so incredibly sweet and we really enjoyed our dining experience. The food was very good while still being very affordable. We went as a family of 7, ordering three combos, a side, fried rice, and green beans, and it only came out to be about $40 per person, way better than other seafood boil spots. The food was well prepared and I personally loved the king crab, that was super tender and meaty. The garlic green beans are also very delicious. Overall highly recommend, and the waitress even gave my little sister strawberry milk for free!“
“A hole in the wall that I wish I had discovered far earlier than today. I had an egg and ham breakfast sandwich with this lemon-y aioli that was absolutely divine. The salted caramel chocolate chip cookie was *chef's kiss* yumyumyum! The people who were working this morning were so kind and I look forward to returning.“
“Ordered several different dishes, though you can taste the same chicken in all dishes, and all are pretty salty. Wish they could just leave the teriyaki sauce aside for the customers to dip on their own. Also, they could add more variety to the flavors/dishes rather than just using the same meat across the board.“
“Let me write this review real quick. I missed breakfast, and I was **** near starving by lunch. I searched for some foods spots, and this place showed up. I looked at the menu, and I couldn't decide between the Cod burger or a Pho bowl. I decided to go in and ask about the choices. Pleasant service to say the least. I ended up going with the Cod burger. Let's just say I'll be back here at least once a month for a Cod burger, guaranteed. Good portion size too. I was satisfied.“
“I can be a socially nervous nelly so I got to go because it's smaller than I'm used to and there were bunches of folks. I did go on Valentines Day to be fair. However, I crave their kimchi rice now after I had it. It was so good, I wish I could've had the wherewithal to sit and eat at the time. I'll try again later!“
“Very good modern spin on Korean food. Meat and fish preparations were expertly crafted. Sampled a large swath of the menu and enjoyed everything. One disappointing thing was dessert, but server kindly took that off the tab.Vegetarian options: Slim pickings. Roasted Brussels sprouts and potato small bites were excellent but not sure if they had meat components like bacon.Parking: There is a paid parking lot right across the street but spendy. Also close to a theater, so if there is a show in town, options dwindle and prices go up.Kid-friendliness: Well behaved kids should not be a problem.“
“For the last month my roommate/best friend, my girlfriend, and I have been coming to this place for the Sunday Kareoke, less busy than their Thursday Kareoke so me and my bestie can just sing 5-8 songs each and a couple duets. It’s very fun and the people that work there are cool and don’t mind that my group will get silly and rowdy. We playfully call our time there the “lesbian takeover”, and I have joked to others that we are doing our best to make this place a gay bar in the ID. (We need one in every neighborhood)Please tip well when you are there and try a black milk tea with a shot of whiskey. Also, their fries have little chilies on them and they are delightful. Girlfriend says the kimchi bacon fried rice is really yummy. Roommate recommends the orange chicken.“
“Nowadays you would have to spend $15 and up for a good meal. I spent $11 on an awesome meal here! The charge is by the weight. I am eating more salad nowadays but I was able to shove more than enough meat in my plate and some noodles and still paid a reasonable price. Food is fresh and delicious! Lots of variety! My new go to for lunch when in downtown.“
“Our experience at Jae's Asian Bistro and Sushi was elevated by the exceptional service provided by Kyle and Zack . From the moment we were seated, his warm welcome and genuine hospitality set the tone for the evening. Kyle displayed impressive menu knowledge, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was memorable. His attention to detail, seamless service, and friendly demeanor made our evening truly special. If you're dining at Jae's, I highly recommend requesting Kyle or Zack for an outstanding experience.“
“Came from Vegas and visited the woodland park zoo. This was 1 min away from the zoo and we were famished from walking all day! And we were not disappointed! Portions sizes are huge and plenty for a family of 4. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, almond fried chicken, and beef broccoli and they were so delicious! Almond fried chicken was crispy and tender and the sauce paired well with the chicken. The beef was super tender and the brocccoli was not too soft and had a crunch (which we like!). And don't forget the fried rice! They were so yummy and paired well with everything we ate! Soo goood! Friendly family owened business. Owner was super nice and suggested places for us to visit so we wouldn't get stuck in traffic. Will definitely stop by again whenever we are in town!“
“Really yummy food. We had the goat dish and the lamb shank dish and the malawah. Took pictures after we had already divvied some of it up. Great portion size. I absolutely loved the clear soup at the beginning and the goat. My husband loved the lamb shank more.“
“If you like spicy food - the teriyaki chicken at Midori Teriyaki is solid gold. It's simple and straight forward AND DELICIOUS. The place is slammed at lunch and they continue to upgrade the ordering process to manage the crowd. The staff is the same crew everyday and they are wonderful. Highly recommend.“
“Great food and great customer service. We tried their chicken katsu rice, fried rice, and pad thai. The fried rice and katsu rice were very good. Katsu comes with a unique sauce that's very tasty, too. Food is not spicy, not too oily. Good portion size and fair price, and friendly customer service. Highly recommend.“
“We've been coming here for a few years and always enjoy the rolls. I'm sad they don't do the conveyor anymore, but the food is still good. The rolls are a bit on the bigger side (around, not length) so you can fill up fast. The place is nice inside, and there is usually plenty of seating. It's also not too loud so it's easy to have a conversation.Parking: Usually can find a spot, but occasionally gets busy and may have to drive around a bit.Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids. Nothing special but nothing to avoid for them.“
“We were heading to Pike Place for an improv show at Unexpected Products and had limited time to eat. We found this place for take-out and decided to give it a chance.First, parking in this area of Georgetown is a nightmare. But we somehow found a spot very close by.Second, we weren't sure where we were going to eat once we got said take-out. But they do have limited seating inside, AND we got a table!Third, we were super short on time and thought we might not get our food with enough time to eat because we saw all the tickets ahead of us. But, as luck was on our side, we got our food quickly! And it was absolutely delicious! Lots of vegan and non- vegan options. SO GOOD!“
“Ordered to-go so can't comment on the service! Tried to Lumpia, Kadun Lua Lua, and Rice bowl, everything was delicious! Can't wait to try more on the menu. The Kadun Lua Lua spilled in the bag so I recommend Saran Wrap on take out orders!“
“We have been coming here for years and Shanghai Garden is always excellent. Great for large parties of people. We ordered about 12 dishes for 10 very hungry people and every dish was excellent. It was about $25 per person, so the price was normal for Seattle. The eggplant, the hand shaved barley noodles and the orange chicken were excellent. We will keep coming back.“
“Best Ramen in town. Takoyaki is crispy outside. Good service. But kind of cold if you were seated close to the door whenever people go in & out.Parking: Parking is limited but you will get one soon, be patience, space is compact, large car should park on the street please.“
“The restaurant is known for its delicious food, featuring a diverse and appealing menu. The inviting atmosphere creates a comfortable dining environment, complemented by attentive and friendly service that enhances the overall experience. It's a delightful combination of flavors, ambiance, and hospitality.“
