“The restaurant is known for its delicious food, featuring a diverse and appealing menu. The inviting atmosphere creates a comfortable dining environment, complemented by attentive and friendly service that enhances the overall experience. It's a delightful combination of flavors, ambiance, and hospitality.”
“Ordered beef teriyaki with a side of gyoza because I was stuck on mercer island for a few hours but pho is obviously their specialty. The rice and gyoza were good but the beef abd sauce were sub par imo compared to dedicated teriyaki places. It wasn’t bad but definitely different if you're looking to satisfy a teriyaki craving this is only about 75% there.”
“Very cute little cafe with beautiful looking pastries. Seating is limited so just be aware! By the time we arrived in the late afternoon, there weren't many pastry choices left but we did enjoy the chocolate hazelnut croissant and crème brûlée that we ordered. Prices are on the high side (some cost almost $10!) but they do offer high quality so I'd be ok to splurge every now and then. Not a cafe that I can frequent often because of the high price point though. Will be back to try the other pastries in future, especially that matcha croissant that I've heard people rave about.”
“Simply the best spot for wine and appetizers on Mercer Island. The owners are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Can't say enough good things about Barrels!!”

“Update: The management is awesome! We emailed back and forth about the below and other things that I observed. The salt was a change in ingredient types which is being addressed. The employees don't see how much you tip so that's a non-issue. Please keep tipping, they deserve it. I'm really happy to see that they care about the restaurant! The GM was able to address everything that I emailed. I'll be a loyal customer for sure! 5 stars after my next visit as long as the salt issue is fixed!Original Review:This has been my go-to favorite burger place for the last 3 years, but I’ve been disappointed the last two times (orders were to-go). Normally, the food is fantastic. The burgers were juicy, the fries were crispy, and the shakes were outstanding. After a Jan visit, the burger and fries were extremely over salted to the point that I tossed them in the trash after a few bites. I thought that it was a one-off, so I waited a month due to being upset about the waste of money and visited again this month (Feb). I had the exact same issue, but it was even worse! I was absolutely disgusted. I couldn’t even get down the first bite of the burger. It was like someone smeared salt across the burger and the fries were coated with salt (no house seasoning). I of course tossed all of it in the trash and went out to eat some place else.I’m not sure what’s going on. I believe that either an employee is new and hasn’t been trained properly or someone is doing this on purpose. Maybe it's tip based. I do tip but it's not to the level of having a waiter. This is a fast food place not a sit down dining experience. There is no way in the world that anyone would salt their personal food to this level. I hope that someone investigates this before customers slowly start disappearing. The owners aren’t going to understand why customers aren't returning. I’m assuming that most people won’t speak up since it’s a fast-food burger place. I’m writing this to save the restaurant not hurt it. I hope them the best and wish that someone would get to the bottom of it before it's too late.”
“Food here are amazing!! All the sushi rolls and udon we had were outstanding! Highly recommend fried oysters appetizer! Hiyashi Wakame seaweed salad was great too. Service was great, friendly staff and they have a really nice atmosphere. I'm excited to go again with our friends this week. This place is not an average sushi restaurant. If you want good quality sushi, I highly recommend!”
“Hidden gem on Mercer Island! Very fresh and nicely presented rolls. Tempura also tasty and lightly crispy. Restaurant is also clean and casual. Service was super friendly. Must visit for reasonably priced rolls!”
“This place is a gym in every possible way. The location is great at Mercer village, the food is amazing: : recent dish I had was bacon wrapped prawns and a very spicy chicken dish with the usual rice and beans. They always have treated my mom and I well there. They are very nice people, people of the island flocked to this place with their babies and kids and parents. There are sports televisions all around, so it's festive, not that quiet.Vegetarian options: Lots”
“Nothing spectacular but what a nice place to go on my way home from skiing. The service can be a bit slow but if you're just chilling it's totally fine.I always get the chili and honestly it kinda slaps.”
“We tried the scooby pizza and the roasted Brussel sprouts with humus. Paired with their amazing bread that was the best thing we’ve tasted while on mercer island.”
“Pagliacci's is Pagliacci's. Really great pizza. More of a dining area in this one than the Crossroads location. Great tasting, filling, and satisfying. Expensive.Parking: Good number of spots for the time we went, which was around dinner time”
“I'm so glad Just Poke opened a location on Mercer Island. I've been going to their location in Bellevue for the past year. While the protein portions are carefully measured their accompaniments and sides are generous. Just love it!”
“Finally went to this cute little bakery, and got a pain au chocolate and plain bagel, both are delicious!! Everything else looked good too, and I will definitely be back.”
