“I was here on Wednesday 8/2/23 at 12:45 and there was a hiccup with the POS and the wonderful girl working named Ray was super helpful and went above and beyond to work out a solution for us on our first visit to Homegrown on our first day after moving to Mercer island ? we appreciate her so much and will definitely be coming back because of her and the food!“
“So good. We had the rockfish bowl, salmon teriyaki and fries. The atmosphere is nice and you can order from Aslan next door. Be prepared for a line as they seem to meter things to keep the kitchen and dining room at reasonable levels. Other food looked great. We will be back for the shrimp toast, oysters, crab roll, etc for sure.“
“My friend is moving near this place and we wanted something delicious and quick for dinner. When I looked at the comments and saw that it had an almost perfect score from almost five hundred people, it caught my attention.woooow those people are not wrong, it has been a long time since I ate such delicious Middle Eastern food, it was so good that we repeated and will continue to repeat this place. For me this place is a must and you have to go try it 100% recommended. thank you for the wonderful dinner.“
“I’m a believer in poke bowls again after trying the poke bowl from here.It has been a couple of years since I’d last had a poke bowl since they usually all taste kinda the same, aren’t very filling and just generally aren’t so fresh.I placed a pickup order through Google and it was ready super quick. The order was ready when I got there, seamless experience. The poke bowl was mad tasty. I built my own and the best part is they don’t hold back on ingredients. Two bases and two proteins and unlimited toppings. Avocado was only $0.50 extra, which is unheard of. The salmon and seared tuna ahi were both super fresh and the mix of ingredients and combo of soft and crunch was top. ?“
“We went to Nicks’s for dinner Saturday night. Food, service, ambiance all great. You can tell they really care about doing things well. We had so much fun. And everyone was so nice. Highly recommend going here. We plan to go back many times.“
“"These Carrots are like perfectly sliced down the middle"...I learned from the best, she taught me everything vegetal, green, seasonal, especially the nonsensible light of day...La Padrona in the Alley, her Pink Door.Soft they were yet not to where the root flavors are boiled or burnt off, we're in the stratosphere of cook knows his vegetable do's, Italian or not, someone back there has an understanding. You decide, was their texture left for your knife or jaws? Both were fine by the cookery, serration of a knife no affront through to the bottom or the underlying plate, no curse and scratch or chop when carrots are cooked like this I insist to my owner's manual, "Elbows on vaneer, fingertips and suffering no rules"... or etiquettes, unbound, I eat them same as pulled from the ground, space out in earthly romance, index and thumb...slow like frog's legs. So I was then just felt like the I want to be both here and disappear...into the brights and hinges of a hanging chandelier...Okay then...some nuts, pine I think I recall added a brute bitter to play with the coaxed sweetness yellow, white, purple, orange, green heirloom almost a fruit when given the right chase. Drops of whipped ricotta and lemon the struts n' accenture here... just barely enough...foment the regularity of root and dust.I only had veggies and wine with Cora and I was happy, that's what I wanted. I ate some delicious greens, hydrating, sprite and stewed...a kick spicy and a tart charm, again hydratingly healthy and robust with fueling energies. The place is clean and dust free, moistened table woods and overheads, glass, utensil, plate, reflections all around, spotless and shining...Every place set, equidistant, held and thought of.The host was server, I am so sorry young lady, I have forgotten your name. I apologize and your timing and your intent said much about the owner...Kelly, she has a smile like a three part summer's day and was completely sincere, I think that was the most amazing thing was Kelly's resilience and hospitality. We talked and it's a hard few years in the restaurant business. She's a wonderful soul with gift's genuine and loving. I felt happy she was very savvy, has a ton of confidence, a beautiful timelessness that's brave and near.Cora is very nice but doesn't lose itself in itself, it's ultimately delightful for any occasion, few, a long table of ten or just one as myself when I went... it's all the same, that's real talent when it's like that. You should go, don't hesitate. They are all so present.Thank you all...~Terrence“
“Walked in on Tuesday at 5:30pm and snagged the last free table! I saw a line form right after so I'd recommend you go near the opening time (if you're worried about the wait). Atmosphere was cozy and our server was very personable. Parking in the neighborhood can be a bit difficult to find but it's free in the area! Rigatoni ($24) Red Funghi ($26) - A great vegan option! I would get this again.“
“This place is amazing! I come from a Mediterranean family and this tastes like my mom's cooking. Best falafel I've had in a very long time! Crispy outside. Moist inside. Not that dry crumbly stuff you get most places. The shawarma chicken wrap is amazing too. It's grilled so the outside is just a little crisp. Not traditional, but very good nonetheless.“
“This place is worth traveling from Seattle. The food is absolutly amazing. The service is friendly. The ambience is like somebody teleported you to some small city in Israel. I had a schitzel in a plate, served with spicy harissa, hummus and a pitta bread. It was delicious and very well presented. I noticed some comments about the pricing. The restaurant serves glat kosher meat and home made food. That is expensive (e.g. a package of frozen kosher burgers in grocery store is 2x higher than a non-kosher alternative.)“
“We just finished dining here for the first time and we were overall quite impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor. The service was alright, definitely not as good as the food. I was disappointed in our service, our waitress was a little cold and towards the end I asked if the $25 reward could be applied as I just signed up and she said “yes of course!” Then proceeded to charge my card the full amount. I said, “I thought the $25 was going to be applied?” She said, “oh no not if you just signed up. It’s for next time.” Which is what we initially thought, and makes complete sense- but when I had literally just told her I had just signed up and she said it would work I was then a little annoyed. Then she very rudely said “well there’s nothing I can do. We can’t apply it. Anything else?” Didn’t offer to ask her manager for an exception since it’s clearly just a misunderstanding. Luckily, before we left I asked to speak to a manager and he apologized for her behavior and applied the discount. That’s literally all she had to do. Anyways, we will definitely be back in fact I plan on coming back with my parents for my birthday in a month. Food was expensive but not anymore than other nice restaurants. The view was gorgeous and I love the ambiance of the restaurant, very nice aesthetically. I’d definitely say give it a shot if you’re considering! Closest place to Ascend (in Bellevue) in terms of food and views. They could learn a thing or two about the service from Ascend though ;)“
“This is stupid. You're telling me, I have lived 24 years on this earth to not know how incredibly fantastic and bursting with flavor something as simple as a grilled cheese can be? I'm in awe. I'm at a total loss for words. Oh and the tomato soup . I looked like a total degenerate consuming that sandwich. The sandwich itself is amazing, when matched with that soup. I swear this is how babies are made or some shit, it's gotta be a similar feeling. Absolutely f****** banger spot 10/10, I literally can't think of a single improvement you could've made to that sandwich. Thank you. You have no ruined grilled cheese for me because if I'm ever not around nothing will come close to this. (Ordered the Fuego grilled cheese with ham and tomato soup)“
“From the first email from Kat, to ending the night out with Chris discovering the surprising $$$$ total, it was an exciting gender reveal last night!!! An exceptional night of good food, great conversation, and wonderful service! Thank you for accommodating our party! I loved how they were so flexible with our group.Vegetarian options: Truffle pizza was so yummy“
“Hadn’t been here in years and was BLOWN away by how good the food was. Nothing special as far as service and it was so loud we couldn’t talk… but the food… OMG! So amazing. Can’t wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: I’m GF and that Miso Salad was divine!“
“We pulled up around 1am to get food and let me tell you ... Mama Sambusa did not disappoint!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the lovey lady cooking to us was very kind. If I lived in WA I would be a regular. I highly recommend trying all the Sambusa options! Chicken Sambusa was my favorite as well as the chicken tacos!!!“
“Rotating calendar of delicious soups! Our favorites are the Greek chicken lemon, the tomato bisque, the loaded baked potato, and the poultry pot pie (chicken most times, turkey around Thanksgiving). The brewery/cheese soup and the split pea with ham are also good. Perfect with the provided roll and butter (one per soup order). Service is great - quick, friendly and they remember you. Count on us for repeat visits!“
“What an amazing gem tucked away in a cute courtyard. We ventured over to grab breakfast & coffee and we were pleasantly surprised that not only was the coffee delicious, but the food was very good!We ordered the pork belly hash with winter root vegetables. It had a kimchi-sriracha sauce, so it was spicier than I can handle but tastes amazing. The hash was beets, carrots & parsnips from what I could tell. The bacon, egg & cheese sandwich was huge but really delicious. The ricotta & lemon toast tasted good, but it is a bit too much bread (Texas toast) and honestly needs a bit of blackberry jam.We ordered oatmilk lattes as our go-to when trying new coffee places. One had vanilla syrup and was perfectly sweet, while the plain one needed some sugar to balance the bite. But the roast was a great flavor that would be good in any coffee you order.Parking: We got lucky finding a street spot right out front. There are bike racks if you ride over. But parking might be an issue since it's in a residential neighborhood and on a busy street.“
“Ginger Teriyaki offers the best of both worlds: delicious food and outstanding customer service. From their flavorful teriyaki dishes to their attentive staff, every visit is a delight. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, you’re guaranteed a satisfying experience. Highly recommend!“
“Pizza was awesome, I had cheese and it was cooked just how I like it - slightly fluffy and a great crust. Also, a meal deal with a salad and a slice is perfect, not everyone does that. They were out of lettuce for a Caesar, so I accepted spinach instead, which was great. Very happy with my lunch.“
“Best poke place ever! Eel is my favorite, but I did not get it every time. I ordered a bowl with eel online, but unfortunately I didn’t get the eel last time with paying extra 2 dollars online. So I started to make my order in store, but this time I didn’t notice that the eel wasn’t put in the bowl until I got home and open it. The bowl just lost its soul without the eel. How did I not notice that while I was in store lol. Sad but still taste good“
“Same, I don't go out of my way to leave reviews hardly ever. I would give 10 stars if I could. 2-3 times a week for breakfast, I slide thru for a breakfast burrito. They have multiple flavor options that make these things so tasty no matter which breakfast burrito you choose. You DEFINITELY can not beat the quality or value. This goes for their lunch and dinner menu as well. Nachos here come loaded, and of course, they are super Fire!! The staff is super friendly and always on top of it. Whether you live in greenwood or are visiting, it's your LOSS if you don't swing through and grab something to eat here.“
“Lovely bright location with plenty of space between the tables, nice leaded-glass decor with a Danish feel. The braised beef bowl was brimming with umami flavor and had plenty of fresh greens. Our host, cashier, and server LJ was so perfect, elevating the experience, describing every dish to us, and dropping by the table to remind us that the staff bus the tables and we didn't have to.“
“What a nice find! The pizza was alright and the building a bit old, but the employees were the friendliest. It truly felt like my little local pizza place. I'd love to try some of the other food after seeing pizza was only one part of the menu. I will be back!“
“My son who loves schwarma LOVES this place. So if gyros are your thing -- and also seasoned fries -- hit Sultan up for some deelish schwarma.Kid-friendliness: No worries about having to be neat or quiet. This place is super casual.Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space to park a chair“
“Cool vibe, steer parking on a bit busy street. The sandwich was good but Dahlia’s has a better version of it tbh! They tastes similar.I got it spicy but …it wasn’t spicy? It was as spicy as ketchup is spicy tbh, it was less spicy than a hot Cheetos so idk why they call it spicy.I came here bc of Infatuations breakfast sandwich list !“
“It is nice to have a vegetarian restaurant with vegan and some gluten free options. This is my first time to the new location after they moved from the longtime location on Roosevelt. There are a lot hard surfaces so it gets pretty loud there. The place was pretty full. That considered, the service was reasonably prompt. I got the gluten free lemon poppy seed waffle. I did not taste much in the way of lemon and it was kind of dry. I should have avoided gluten free. They did not have hashbrowns per se, but more like fried potatoes. They were ok but I was in the mood for hasbrowns. The menu has changed since they moved so I was a little disappointed. Based on the other reviews it seems like people like the food. I think the main issue for me was I was expecting something different.“
“We finally got to try out this place for lunch and it was sooo freaking good. The guy behind the counter was solo and working his butt off. We had a square veggie slice with white sauce, and a slice of BBQ chicken and Hawaiian as well, and all three were delicious (great crust!!) We will be back for sure.“
“We walked in yesterday somewhat accidentally, because even from outside, it looked welcoming and had a good vibe. We had been crawling beer pubs and enjoyed some great beers on tap.Service was wonderful (thanks Jada and Jim). I would have liked to try the food, but we had already picked up takeout somewhere else. Perhaps, we'll go back another time.“
“Have driven by this newish Pizza Twist location (never heard of the chain before) for months, finally checked it out… was quite impressed! Got a large supreme pizza to go and it was delicious! Great topping coverage, awesome crust, and friendly service. They had sodas and a couple small rose wines, though some other drink options would be nice.“
“Most affordable coffee shop in the area. I appreciate their americanos are all the same price. They have gluten free bread to replace regular bread for their sandwiches. Tons of seating both in and outdoors, some in the lovely morning sunshine.“
“Nice vibe French style with many options. Can get a nice view seat by the marina watch the water frontYou can park at the underground garage, take the ticket to the restaurant as they validate.Stay indoor from the parking up the stairs into the restaurant. ?️Tasty food and nice selections of drinks, cocktails, wines ?Vegetarian options: Plenty of options.Parking: They validate the underground parking ?️“
“It's in a really nice location. I don't understand how they charge for underground parking though, so parked on the street for free. You scan, order and pay on your phone. Food arrived pretty quickly. The restaurant is very nice with a bar area. Pad see ew was excellent. Curry was average.Parking: The automated underground parking garage says something about paying first, then get complimentary parking for an hour if you eat at a restaurant in the building, but couldn't figure out how to get reimbursed so went and parked on the street for free.“
“Needed a quick lunch spot so stopped in The Stop and SO glad I did. I wish I lived here so I could go back again and again and try every sandwich. I got the Dolce Vida, which was DELICIOUS. I need to go back and try all the rest, and even breakfast. Highly recommend!“
“We were looking for something new, comforting and close. My partner is from Nagpur and taught himself to cook to bring back flavors of home when he moved here years ago. He is nearly impossible to impress. His only comment other than how good it was: “Why didn’t you find this place sooner?” :) High praise, I’m telling you. We will be back often to try more on the menu.“
“How have I not reviewed this place? I've come here a couple times a week for the past ten years. A reliable buffet with fresh, high quality and reasonably priced food. The lunch is great but don't sleep on the breakfast buffet. I love getting some eggs and sausage and a few tater tots and chowing down. Prices are reasonable and the people are super nice and remember you. Ambiance? It's a buffet in a food court, but again everything is clean and fresh. Want a quick breakfast or lunch? Try market fresh!“
“Pretty good food! Can't complain! I like my curry thick and pasty, not that watered-down stuff some places offer. And this place didn't disappoint! Wish I could say something about the interior, but I didn't spend much time inside. Got to-go, but it's very convenient to a bunch of other things in the area!“
“So darn good! I got the cod fish tacos which were fried to perfection and topped with cotija cheese and a chipotle sauce. My mom got the Acapulco shrimp tacos which has a jicama and mango salsa and topped with avocado. And the establishment is clean! Friendly service! High recommend this spot.I would’ve taken a picture of the tacos but my eyes and belly took action before I could.“
“Excellent bar/restaurant that is upscale and stylish while still retaining a casual vibe- drink prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Definitely one of the better bars in Capitol Hill to visit (especially if you are looking for a more upscale/mature vibe than a lot of the other bars in Capitol Hill)“
“This is possibly the best restaurant that I have been to in Seattle Eastside. If you are doing a corporate party, think no further. This place is excellent. Food is great. Ambience is perfect. and Games are awesome. You can build some great team party memories here. Foozball, Pinball, Darts, Pool table - Everything was great! Loved this place. We're going to have every single party at this place now. The only issue was they don't have many vegetarian options. 5 stars from me. It was perfect.Vegetarian options: They have limited vegetarian options - caesar salad, jalapeno poppers and grilled cheese sandwich.“
“Delicious Vietnamese food in Pioneer Square. Plenty of seating for small and large groups. I had the Lemongrass pork rice noodle bowl with tender stir-fried pork and crunchy veggies, served with a generous portion of Vietnamese lime sauce. They have yellow and red condiment bottles on the table: yellow is for hoisin sauce and of course, red is for Sriracha. :) My friend had the pho which she said was yummy. I need to come back for the bahn mi. Highly recommend!“
“Nowadays you would have to spend $15 and up for a good meal. I spent $11 on an awesome meal here! The charge is by the weight. I am eating more salad nowadays but I was able to shove more than enough meat in my plate and some noodles and still paid a reasonable price. Food is fresh and delicious! Lots of variety! My new go to for lunch when in downtown.“
“Urara had some of the freshest sushi we've ever had. It was delicious. The spicy tuna was not spicy, but tbh everything tasted so good i didn't care. The miso was made perfectly. We also had King Salmon nigiri and it was 10/10. Its a very small place, so i feel like everyone can hear your conversation. We will be back very soon??“
“This is a little cozy restaurant but checks all the boxes. We ordered 2 Antipesto Calzones. They were the best I’ve had in years. The flavor was perfect, stuffed with veggies and the crust was tasty and soft. I’m so glad we have leftovers for dinner tomorrow.“
“Reasonably priced and deliciously fresh fish. The yuzu kosho on top elevates it to the next level. Wanted to eat in but it's a very small restaurant and it was pretty crowded. They gave me some extra condiments as an apology for not being able to seat me. Would definitely return!“
“The staff is exceptional. Robert is so friendly and down to earth. Ari, who runs the karaoke is phenomenal. There is late night food. Go check them out on Wed/Thurs nights for ample space for singing songs. One of my favorite spots to frequent. And that's saying something! ?“
“Can’t recommend this place enough! Not only is there food amazing, but they hire elders who make everything with so much love. They made my day by adding a heart cookie and caramel hard candy to my breakfast sandwich for Valentine’s Day. If you miss and appreciate the care and love that grandparents put into preparing your food, then you have to come by here.“
“Taste so fresh and yummy definitely my go to when I have a layover in Seattle. The employees could be a little more cheerful but it’s not a deal breaker prices are similar to a grab and go salad at the airport at a way fresher taste and more “
“Eating a baliada when you're really hungry around lunch is one of life's biggest joys. Their flour tortillas are the best around, they really make the dish! It's always friendly and full of locals inside. Neighborhood community gem.Vegetarian options: Many meatless breakfast items! Baliadas are awesome, just egg bean cheese and avocado!“
“The food was so good I didn’t wait to take a better photo! Got the tadka dal (extra hot) and had a great time! The servers were extremely attentive and we got our food very quickly. Overall great experience and I’d highly recommend it. If you like SPICY, maybe ask for extra extra hot.“
“My friend and I ordered the sage pasta and the pork belly burrata pizza. Ohhh man, this is one of the best meals I've had in awhile! The pizza had amazing flavor, and the pasta was such a good texture. Definitely recommend treating yourself out to a meal here!“
“Update: this is an excellent spot for healthy food. Lots of options and their homemade sauces are not too heavy and taste great.Previous: They will sometimes close early and they already have difficult hours. Really difficult to plan to head to Mercer Island when you can't trust the schedule“
