“Love this place. Fantastic service and food and drinks. Highly recommend the beet salad, Mama Mio! sandwich, and zucca balsamica pizza. For shareable try the melanzane, and definitely check out the rosemary flatbread for happy hour along with a plethora of other options. Also be sure to check out the brunch, and recommend the morning hash with extra pancetta. Really though, it’s all delicious, and you won’t regret it.“
“My husband and I had a small local wedding, and chose to spend our wedding night dinner here at Spinasse and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We did the MenuDegustazione and were absolutely blown away at the amazing taste and presentation of every portion. In addition to the phenomenal food options, our waiter Aidan was an absolute pleasure and made our wedding night dinner absolute perfection. Another thanks to all the wonderful staff and executive chef that cooked each meal to perfection. We will definitely be returning.“
“What can I say - the best. Food is simply fresh, quality, and amazing. Pizza done correctly. The meatballs!!! Will return many times. There must be an Italian behind this restaurant.Vegetarian options: Many options for those who do not eat meats. Check this place out!Kid-friendliness: Kids were very welcome when we were there.“
“The food and setting are good, but not exceptional. I’m happy I tried Autumn, but there is a reason no one talks about it. For the price point, I would expect to be wowed a little more. Certainly nothing wrong with our dishes, but in a city with great food, there are other places that offer more nuance. Also, the open concept kitchen could do with some thoughtful design improvements, the bright lights, white wall and open door into the prep area are a bit jarring and take away from what could be a cozy space.“
“It was absolutely fantastic! I felt like I had to find the location; it felt like a secret to uncover. The unassuming exterior did not match the fabulous interior or the magnificent service rendered by the host and servers. The food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails looked perfectly made, as did their bottle service. What truly elevated the experience was the entertainment. I went on Tuesday night when it was aerial acrobatics!“
“?️ Reservation Tip: Book in Advance! This charming restaurant is in high demand. Despite the rainy weather, the indoor seating area exudes charm and coziness, while the open terrace promises a beautiful dining experience when the weather permits. The staff ensures a memorable dining experience with their attentive service. ? Starters: The 4-piece Melanzana is a must-try! Grilled eggplant topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil. A surprising delight even for non-eggplant enthusiasts. Slightly salty, but incredibly delicious. ? Mains: The Risotto ai Marsala delivers an authentic and flavorful taste, with generous portions perfect for leftovers. The Pollo Marsala, a Sicilian favourite as it states on the menu so of course I had to get it! Comes with spaghetti noodles with chicken breast in a Marsala wine and mushroom sauce. While enjoyable, I'm eager to explore other menu options next time. ? Desserts: Indulge in the flourless cake for a decadent treat. While the tiramisu boasts a nice espresso flavor, it leans towards the sweeter side with a generous amount of crème. Overall, La Fontana Siciliana impresses with its fresh and authentic cuisine, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Can't wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu offerings!“
“Wow. This place is absolutely wonderful from the service to the food and the ambiance. All staff were absolutely amazing. They were welcoming and attentive at all times. The Cesar salad was refreshing with a touch of lemon and served with complimentary toasted bread. The butter made in house was smooth and creamy with herbs. For the main course we ordered the Tortellini con Piselli and the Lobster Ravioli. The waiter informed us that the Lobster Ravioli is a seasonal special so we were glad to be able to try it. If you love lobster then I think it’s a must try! We were way too stuffed to try dessert but I’ve heard great things about them. Apparently they’re made in house! I can’t wait to try the dessert on my next visit.“
“We absolutely loved our experience here last night! Josie was our server and did a phenomenal job. We did the tasting menu and were thrilled with the generous portions and the pacing. We had our 9 month old baby with us and we were able to keep him entertained the whole time with fresh bread and a filet of salmon.“
“We love this restaurant. The food and service are always impeccable. We e eaten here twice several months apart. Each time, we were greeted warmly, shown to our table and waited on in an appropriate and timely manner. The cocktails are inspired and the food does not disappoint. Highly recommend.“
“So. This was awesome. I usually think these restaurants with the 5-courses and set menus and indecipherable foods/ingredients are pretentious, but this one actually has a good reason to be. I made a joke at the beginning of this dinner that I only respect an Italian restaurant if they bring out bread to the table, and guess what. They brought out bread! I chose the pescatarian menu and it was great. Started with a taster plate of soup/caviar cannoli/aged Parmesan and balsamic, then had raw yellowtail, bread, tajarin (angel hair sage pasta), endive salad, Seabream, blackberry thyme sorbet, passionfruit meringue, and then hazelnut ice cream affogato. I even probably forgot a few things in there, they just kept bringing food out. On top of all this, they had Charmin Ultrasoft in the bathroom. Unbelievable. That’s how I know they cared about me. This is the place to go if you’re looking for a fun and crazy food experience and you’re deciding between this place and Canlis or some other of this genre of restaurant.“
“This is the perfect spot for a date night! They make their pasta and pizza in house with homemade ingredients. Everything tastes fresh and is served with a smile. They have a great dinner deal where you pay $65 for a salad, pizza, pasta dish, and a bottle of house red or white wine that is the perfect amount of food for a price that cannot be beat in Seattle. I would also highly recommend the tiramisu off of the dessert menu.Vegetarian options: Many pasta and pizza options are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: They are more than willing to accommodate any restrictions.Parking: It is somewhat difficult to find parking but it is available for free on the streets around the north and west.Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is very tightly organized but they will accommodate anyone in a wheelchair.“
“We had the triple hor'deoure for a starter. Taste was unique and wonderful. I had the moussaka as my main. It was unlike any I've had before. Took half home and enjoyed it as much the next day. I finished with their baklava. Once again, it was unique, very moist - a great way to end the dinner.“
“A great place for nice dinners for special occation. Weekdays maybe a lot of business people having large group dinners, and the noise level maybe too high for intimate dinners such as for birthday or anniversary. But the food is just fantastic!“
“GREAT FOOD! you definitely need to visit once. The staff were very polite and helpful, and the servers were also very funny, they cracked a few jokes that just made the dinner better. We had ordered the antipasto assortito with the pizza carbonara which went together perfectly. And for dessert we ordered panna cotta which you should definitely get, it’s not very sweet but just the perfect balance and is simple and subtle. The overall dinning experience was a ten along with the ambiance. They also provide you with blankets incase you get cold especially if you’re sitting at a table in the patio. Also make sure to make reservations in advance as it is unlikely that you’ll find a table as per your preferred timing and they are usually full.“
“EDIT: I had to update this review to 5 stars (from 3) because... Read the response below. Sounds like a tough night, and clearly this place seriously cares about their customers. Ownership like that is rare, and should be supported. Original review below. This is a tough review to write, because the food is not bad, and the concept is pretty cool. The pizza is definitely in the style of cafeteria food pizza (very Americana), but it's probably the best version of that style of pizza you could find. My only gripe on the food itself is that the dough could be a bit more flavorful, but that's about it.However, this place has the absolute slowest service imaginable. I've only ever seen two people working here (maybe the couple of owners?) and they desperately need a third employee. You can't order ahead of time, and expect to wait 30-40 minutes after any order.Related, but their weekday hours are terrible. By closing at 7pm, you're basically ensuring that few will make it, so everyone comes on the weekends, and then they're totally overloaded.I ordered a dessert as we were finishing our food, and 35 minutes later I just had to tell them to cancel it, because it was never coming. Unfortunately, no refund because you pay when putting in the order. That's poor service no matter how you cut it.“
“The B.E.S.T pasta place in Seattle! We tried all type of pasta in Italy last summer and have been trying to find our go to place here ever since. We will be stopping our search.Everything we ordered was so delicious. The Mushroom and truffle sauce here is a must try. Poached egg was perfection. We are taking all of our out of state guests here. Highly recommended!“
“The food here is absolutely incredible. I’ve been coming for almost a decade and the quality has never changed. The service is incredible, the owners are amazing and charismatic, and the desert port wine selection is fantastic. (Don’t forget the Underberg!) The decor is only a reflection of the flavors in the food and of the stylings of the owners themselves. It’s funny to say but the bathrooms are actually one of my favorite parts of the experience. There is neighborhood parking and a large outdoor patio to enjoy a glass of wine and mingle with strangers as you wait for a table inside as there is only standing room outside which I can imagine is by design as you will see a wide range of folks that go to Bizzarro. The wealthy Wallingford Wilco’s and your regular Seattle weirdos, all coming to enjoy a hidden gem of Seattles culinary scene that has never truly gotten the shine it deserves. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Well deserved and earned.Vegetarian options: Ask your server! Very accommodating service.Dietary restrictions: Ask and you shall receive…Parking: Get good! It’s Seattle! Find your street parking! However you could be smart and call a ride or take public transportation for the opportunity for more wine! ?Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed. Can only accommodate up to party’s of 8! Call ahead to see if there is space.Wheelchair accessibility: It is a tight space but you could manage. I recommend calling ahead of time to allow for proper preparation of a table for a better dining experience. Restrooms may require assistance depending upon the severity of the disability.“
“I went here with my husband for a late valentine celebration and even though it was not on the night, they brought us complimentary little small glasses of wine to cheers with and begin our night. Our Waitress, Paris was very warm, knowledgeable and helpful for wine selection and food, was just the right amount of attentive to us.The food menu was fun to select from and we absolutely enjoyed every meal although each was very different than others. We shared the Delicata, bone marrow, scallops and Creste de Gallo with a bottle of wine and our final bill was around $270“
“Some of the most generous, friendly, attentive service in Seattle. We visited on a whim on a Tuesday evening, and we were the only guests during our time there. There was a server whose shift ended shortly after taking our orders, so it was just us and the owner/chef afterward. Really felt more like we had been invited into a family home to eat.The food is pretty good, very homey. Gigantic portions.Salmon penne - it could have used more vegetables, basil, and salt (or maybe just less pasta). The owner suggested adding more stuff at home to the leftovers, which I did, and it was great!Chicken marsala - can't go wrong with a cream, mushroom, and white wine sauce. Very good, and well seasoned. The menu and interior do feel a bit dated as others have said, but it didn't bother us. But I really think the specials menu should include prices.“
“We had a lovely dinner at That's Amore . We shared a pear salad and the pizza with figs . Both excellent. We also shared scallopine which was also really good but we didn't really have room for all of it. The staff were all friendly, helpful and worked like a family. Definitely a date night success . Will be coming back.“
“Very cool, atmospheric place, suitable for a large company, lots of wine and cool music)I looked and thought that I didn’t have enough tablecloths on the tables, black or white, this would add style to the establishment) the staff is very friendly, kind, the food is delicious!) I will definitely come back. There is renovation going on near this cafe, so parking the car is not entirely convenient, but not critical either)“
“We stopped by the restaurant on a weekday and decided to indulge in some pizza, bread, and stuffed mushrooms. Upon arrival, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, and we were informed of a wait. Concerned about our kids getting hungry, we were relieved when they offered us seating in "Nine Hats Wines," which happened to be empty at the time. We ended up enjoying our meal comfortably seated on the couch there.“
“Incredible find, the food here was as good as any Italian I have had in Seattle, Chicago, NYC or DC. This is read deal Italian and while you can get the usual lasagna and pizza, do yourself a favor and sample the menu and their specials. Everything is outstanding. If this restaurant were in Seattle or Bellevue, you would not be able to get a table, it’s that good.“
“Because I was visiting the market, I randomly chose an Italian restaurant for dinner. I ordered two portions of pasta. It was delicious. The shrimp had a strong flavor of shrimp oil and was very fresh. The tomato meat sauce noodles were well seasoned. The sour tomatoes were paired with pasta. Mason cheese powder is very delicious. You must try it if you have the chance “
“My wife and I decided to try a new place for pizza and pasta and man, this place hitAll the marks! I had the baked chicken Alfredo, we also ordered some cheese bread and the Eva pizza accompanied by a standard pepperoni pizza for the kiddos. Everything was outstanding! The pizza was just so damn good! The pasta was rich and creamy! Service was family oriented and made me personally feel like I was in a local neighborhood gem! Cannot wait to go explore the menu upon future visits. Thank you Lisa and Tom for the wonderful experience along with our server! 5 starts across the board!Kid-friendliness: So sweet and welcoming all around!“
“Amazing atmosphere and amazing food. The pasta special with seafood knocked my socks off. The waiter had excellent cocktail recommendations and made the night memorable. The cannoli is worth it even if you're stuffed! AD1 attendees, this is the place to get your grub on.“
“So refreshing to have a meal where the meal and the service are spot on. Every dish was a hit and our server Chloe made the whole experience come together perfectly. Happily come back again and recommend it to anyone else looking for a well executed and delicious Italian food experience.“
“Looking for a place half way between Renton and Everest, Totem Lake seem reasonable and it was well worth the trip. Meatball panini was excellent. Caesar salad, spaghetti, lasagna and chop salad were all very good too. Definitely a place to go back to.“
“My girlfriend and I had just gotten in to Seattle on a Tuesday night. Many restaurants closed by 8pm but we happened upon this gem here in Yelp. Service was great. Got to meet the owner Brandon and he took time to speak with us and share that this is his second restaurant. It's been open for about 6 months and he wanted our feedback on the food and the restaurant as a whole. We ordered the pappadelle and gemelli. Both dishes were immaculate. The pappadelle were perfect thin ribbons. And the flavor of the brisket in the gemelli was so delicious. Would order both again. Ambiance is trendy and great for a date night. Brandon was gracious enough to serve us some gelato on the house as well. Not something I personally would order but was pleasantly surprised with how delicious it was. Brandon also connected me with his friend at the cocktail bar Canon - who took great care of us. Thank you Brandon! Would come back to this restaurant again next time I'm in Seattle.“
“Best coffee experience in North Capitol Hill by far! Very unassuming since it's tucked away in the Kaiser building on 15th Ave, but absolutely worth the visit. You can see how the staff takes their time making each shot perfect and I greatly respect that dedication. And if you get the chance, always try Jonathan's newest latte flavors! They do not disappoint.“
“If you go to Seattle , this place is a must. The food is delicious, they have a little space with music, very private to eat, and the service, awesome, they are very attentive.Don’t hesitate to come here, is just a great place to visit. Here a Colombian family visiting Seattle .Thanks for everything!!“
“There aren't enough good things that can be said about Altura. From the moment you enter the restaurant and the hosts greet you with a warm and friendly hello and ask to hang your coats. To sitting down and having a small hot towel brought to clean your hands. A delicious aperitif brought to start your night. Every interaction is polite, attentive and professional. We have gone to Altura for my birthday two years in a row. We will be going again for our anniversary in two months. Both experiences, the food and presentations were beautiful and delicious. Each menu was a different experience with a few staples we loved from our previous visit. Everything is amazing, there wasn't a single item or dish we were even slightly disappointed by. The same can be said for the drinks, wine and dessert.A perfect place for a special night out. They've made my birthday feel really special each time and we're so happy every time we visit. Truly something to experience for yourself.Thank you to all the Altura staff, we can't wait to see you all again soon.- Tina & Kris“
“My brain struggled at first to grasp what I was looking at, as the pies served here don’t look like my conventional idea of pizza (growing up in WA) But trust me, just bite into it. I got the Sweet Pete on the menu. That candied bacon is beautiful, the quality of the sausage, the little kick of spicy, it’s amazing. And the tomato sauce has a very light, not overpowering taste. I was worried because it looks like a lot of sauce, but, again, just bite into it. it works and it works wonderfully. Crust nice and fluffy, cooked perfectly, and has that nice charred look on the outside“
“Great local coffee shop with a small bit excellent food menu. Had a great dinner of salads, lasagna and eggplant. BIG DEMERIT: completely full at 5:45p in Saturday, and the music was WAY TOO LOUD. Should have been turned down at least 15 decibels. Nearly impossible to have a conversation.“
“I was only surprised they were not busier. We had a great time and the pizza seemed authentic based on my most recent trip to Italy and tasted delish. Didn’t like what was on the TVs but really who cares when the food, service and company are great! They should make the TVs play something Italian for ambiance… anyway, it was great!“
“Friendly neighborhood bar feel, but with a modern flair. Cozy, but not too small to move through comfortably. HAPPY HOUR still exists here! I'd definitely go back. Had the tuna melt, was a nice portion, perfect french fries and very fresh.“
“I only knew about this awesome Italian restaurant thanks to the Tru hotel and their whiteboard recommendationsAm I ever glad for it, this place is the best Italian food I've ever eaten. The tortellini gorgonzola is (literally speaking) to die for. My friend had the Linguini Marco and was equally floored with itI can't honestly fathom ever going to olive garden again (I know, low bar)“
“5 star service from a family restaurant. I always have a pleasant experience when I order from here. The Chicken Parmesan is AMAZING....the portions are also substantial. I'm moving neighborhood next week, if I had one choice of a restaurant in the area....i wish I could bring Pizzuto's.“
“Attentive service. The space we sat was heated and covered outdoors next to an old building. It was very loud.Food was quite good although we preferred the Tarajin at the original Altura better. The portions are quite small.Bathrooms were clean and the lighting was funny with a dark glow light vibe.“
“Love this place. The service is always friendly and a true family generational establishment. The baked spaghetti with meatballs is unbelievable. To be honest i almost hate raving about this place as i don't want them any busier than they are, but when a business deserves it, need to acknowledge the great job they have done building and keeping this business in play amongst all the chain restaurants and new fangled cookie cutter places now.Parking: Parking can be tough at times but there is parking on streets nearby“
“The food was spectacular but the conversation was even better. Leo took such good care of us telling us about the pizza, their ingredients, his thought process on how to make a great pizza and even giving us a different pizza to try. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town.“
“The family and I were visiting Seattle on a family vacation and had to try some local pizza. This is a cute little place that had friendly service. I enjoyed a bottle of some local craft beer and devoured this delicious pizza. We got the The Independent Pizzeria -- Mozzarella Fior di Latte, Asiago, Arugula, Salame Piccante, Pepperoncini PiccanteCan't wait to come back the next time we are in town.“
“Wonderful early dinner, seated in the window it was the best of both, the cozy interior and the first warm day of spring without fully committing to sidewalk seating. The versatile wine list and wide ranging menu allow for any direction. The kids went pasta, I had a collection of appetizers and we shared some desserts. We've also had a few romantic dinners without kids, Vendemmia supports any experience you like, the commonality is the always immaculate food. There's a definite seasonality to the menu, and the cooking is superlative. Every time I eat here I always wonder why I don't do it more often.“
“Such a great small spot! Seating is indoors and outside, so it doesn't at all feel crowded. The menu has a lot of fun pizza options and a large wine variety as well.Dietary restrictions: A great gluten-free crust!Parking: It's by a park and a small neighborhood, so parking is a little tight.“
“We were a group of seven adults coming to Seattle specifically to experience dinner at Luigi's for the first time. We were intrigued to try the Chefs Dinner and it did not disappoint. We paid a set price and had no idea what would be coming, which was a fun adventure. We were served garlic bread, brussel sprouts in a bacon cream sauce, cured meats, roasted peppers with burrata, mixed greens with apples and feta, sausage tortellini with a vodka cream sauce, flank steak over a bed of mushrooms and creamy polenta and cannoli for dessert. It was a ton of food and everything was excellent. Lots of great flavors and colors in the dishes. The space was very open and casual in a neat old building. I expected more of an upscale Italian vibe. There were areas of untidiness back toward the kitchen and bathroom. There was modern rock music playing and a large TV with the football game on. The servers were attentive and unassuming, a little cool at first but warmed to us after a bit. We had a really good time and left fat and happy.“
“I love their fresh pasta, palomino sauce, and tiramisu! It's such an easy, restaurant-quality meal at home. I love the cavatappi, bucatini, and pappardelle. The tri-color flavor is fun - love the bell pepper and squid ink as well. They also have some unique flavors like beet and lemon pepper. I'm definitely addicted to their products!“
“The best Italian food you will get in the PNW. I am 100% Italian and very picky with authentic Italian food and this place is THE BEST! I have eaten at many Italian Restaurants in Seattle and Tropea has them all beat. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend a visit!“
“The herbivore pizza was hands-down the best veggie pizza I've ever had. Love the quantity of olives, the caramelized onions, mushrooms, goat cheese, and every other delicious things they put on it. Definitely going back for it again! Will skip the gelato though—better places for that.“
“These are the best cannolis I’ve had on the west coast!! The crust is fantastic. I grew up on cannolis and, while a bit different, these seriously scratched my perpetual itch for ricotta dessert cream.I only got the classic cream ones. I wish the cream was a bit more ricotta heavy! Maybe one day yall could do a “Sicilian” special?! A girl can dream!Current pick up option is funky, as noted, but also kind of fun!!! Felt like I was at a Japanese vending machine sort of.“
“Super friendly staff who care about their customers and great pizza (really tasty sauce!). Good selection of salads, too.Vegetarian options: Lots of salad options and vegetarian pizza toppingsKid-friendliness: 8" personal pizza is perfect for kids and Sahara also sells dough ballsWheelchair accessibility: ADA parking right near Sahara's front door and the Sahara staff will also carry out to the car“
